New family-

Shiba sighed softly as he heard each of the goblins approve of them staying and it seems that his offer to hand over the book really increases their chances because even the goblins before him expressed interest with having the book. Shiba was so glad that he was able to lead everyone to a new home and avoid dying anymore. Who knows how much more suffering they would have had to endure until they were safe. For now though they could finally rest.

Grandpa goblin nodded as each of the goblins went over to greet their new brothers and sister and it seems that they finally have a large family again. "Well since the young ones approve I cant argue all of you please get inside so I can get a look at those wounds. Grandpa said and Shiba nodded. He shook each goblins hand with a smile still keeping one hand on the book as he did so before he walked into the cave and he barely walked passed the entrance until he finally just let his exhaustion take him and he passed out. Shiba was not injured at least not severely with only a few scraps and bumps but it was the fact that he had his brothers and sisters running for days till they got there.

Grandpa sighed a bit and he called out to stegs @Duthguy stegs come over here and help me in healing their wounds. I'll even show you some new medications" he said offering to teach in exchange for the help.

From their the goblins were free to do whatever they wished should the new goblins wish to rest or hunt with their newfound family members. Shiba simply slept one hand still on his book...

Yan-took knows that he may need to heal small scratches and bruises that he sustained while he was running away. But first, he thought, it may be wise to spare some of the able-bodied goblins to hunt or gather enough food now, since there are 5 more goblins to feed, including himself. He checked what he had on him. It wasn't much as he just ran when he noticed that his tribe was being attacked. He only had a makeshift club that he made with sturdy wood. Nothing impressive, but it still killed few hares and turkeys. He might have more luck waiting in blinds than it should have been possible for a beginner hunter. But the thought of past brought an anguish to Yan-took.

His home..... Gone.....

Not the best time to dwell in what is gone, but Yan-took cannot easily shake off his grief and anger. He needs to channel his emotions into something productive. Yes. Hunting would be nice. Hunting would sate his anger and full stomach will lull him to sleep. Then with those two gone, he would grieve wholehearted, without distractions.

"My name is Yan-took. Is there anyone who wants to go hunt with me?"

Stegs

Just as Stegs was about to leave in order to collect the flower and trust Grandpa to handle the injuries of the newcomer the elder Goblin asked for his help. Since this was something he felt he couldn't refuse he would've accepted the request, even without the promise of new medicine. The only downside was that he had no idea how long it would take."Coming Granda."

He wanted to ask Luz to collect the flower in his stead but decided against it, because food was now their primary concern. If the others he had asked the previous day did indeed go for the flower great, if instead they focused on hunting also great. Putting those concerns out of his mind he ran over to him and the newcomers, ready and willing to take care of their wounds.

Tsku

Now that formalities were out of the way and they were it seemed, officially apart of this new tribe, Tsku took a moment to consider his next actions. Though they all desperately needed rest, Tsku could tell that their new comrades were not exactly flourishing and could use assistance themselves. The sun would be setting soon and he had a feeling they did not have enough food for them all. Yan-took, as always, was quick to offer help and choose to do something productive. Tsku, having a skill that allowed him to push himself beyond his limits, decided this would be an appropriate time. He would let the others rest and help Yan-took establish their role and usefulness in the tribe.

"I will accompany, Yan-took." Tsku responded, nodding as he approached Yan-took. "Let us try to strike fast and strong. Though we need food, we need rest as well." It was unfortunate that Shiba passed out in such a way, but he knew that the others would take care of him in his absence. Also, though he had just met these goblins, their elder seemed of kind heart and gave off a welcoming and trusting aura. His experience with all sorts of animals gave him a rather keen sense of perception.

Kalista

Kalista entered the cave with everyone else, Luz's threat being noticed but not reacted too, rather she was more busy observing what was likely to be her new home for a while carefully. All the others were friendly enough. Two of the goblins seemed to be busy treating wounds, and Tsku and Yan sought to go hunting. Kalista did not feel like hunting, nor do they likely need help. Kalista let out a quiet exhale of breath and ambled over to the one called 'grandpa'. "What can I do?" She asked quietly, her voice monotone but somewhat soothing in nature. Like the others she had a few bruises and scrapes but nothing overly serious in terms of injuries.

Lomen

Lomen was glad that a few shook his hand and breathed a sigh of relief.

"I am glad that this greeting was peaceful. Enough life has been lost already."

"Well since the young ones approve I cant argue all of you please get inside so I can get a look at those wounds.

After hearing a small thud, Lomen noted that Shiba was not in danger and seemed to have only gone off to sleep.

"My name is Yan-took. Is there anyone who wants to go hunt with me?"

"I will accompany, Yan-took. Let us try to strike fast and strong. Though we need food, we need rest as well."

Lomen took a deep breath in as his expression changed to one of more focus rather than worry. He looked over the goblins that seemed to be willing to hunt as if to analyze what their possible personal strengths were. With that done he wove his hands together thinking about how to go about hunting in the most efficient way as possible. In truth he was nervous about what would happen with the new additions being in less than optimal shape, coupled with the fact that all goblins accept grandpa were still relatively young and inexperienced. Even with a few hunts under his belt, Lomen still considered himself to be fairly inexperienced and the pressure forced him to sit down, his expression now harsh as he came to a consensus.

"Ok so I have two plans for hunting and right now I am saying I would prefer to hunt in a group. Although that is the safer option, the other is to split up as we go to the hunting grounds. First option, we stay together and try to hunt down as much prey as a group. Where this is safer, it might cause us to be easily noticed and avoided by prey. Second option with splitting up would allow us to cover more ground and possibly gather more food. The only problem is that with smaller groups comes more risk and with some of us inexperienced and some in weary condition, the risk only gets higher."

Standing up Lomen took a few breaths to relax for a moment before going into more detail. Mainly for himself so he could loosen up a bit before getting down to business.

"If we split into two groups, I need to be in one group and the other needs to have Zectol. This way each group has an individual familiar with the hunting areas and also how to get back home from them. I propose that Yan-took, Tsku, and Skubli accompany Zectol. Idus and Luz would accompany myself, Lomen. That way I think the parties mix of abilities, experience, and health balance out. Again, I still recommend hunting in one group."

As he was talking, Lomen walked over to Skubli and gave him the Alpha rabbit horn. Namely so Skubli could also have at least something as a weapon. Plus he had the tusk, bark shield, and wooden stick already.

"We can decide whether to split up or not when we approach the hunting grounds. Also, if we have time left, Gather some berries, they will be needed for medicine and food. Some bushes are on the way home, just don't eat the yellow ones. Prepare yourselves and lets head out while we can."

Lomen then made sure he had all his gear, including bag, before turning to Grandpa and Stegs.

"When I come back, maybe I can learn how to make some medicine? It would be best if more knew how to make medicine. Until then, lets hunt!"

With that said, Lomen made his way forwards, looking back to make sure he was not going alone, but also to possibly make everyone move towards the hunt so they could gather food as fast as possible.

Luz

It appears that her clan has five new members among their ranks. Luz thought at was good; however, five members suddenly joining means five more mouths to feed which in turn may throw a wrench into their food plan. Furthermore, their new recruit just made one hell of a journey which was enough to incapacitate one of their members. If Shiba can't even hunt then she wonders how badly hurt the other member are and how much more food they require to make a full recovery. Luz couldn't her but sigh at loud knowing she would have to put aside her and Stegs plans to hunt for these meat-eating flowers. "I guess we have no choice but to hunt for food for now." Luz said sounding a bit bum out.

Luz could help but be impressed by Lomen plan. "Strong and smart, i like the way you think." Luz praised Lomem. "So in other words, if want better rewards then we need to take bigger risks." Luz stated with a cheerful smile. LUZ then fold her arms in front of her, breaking her usual smile for a minute to look serious. "If we hunt as one group there a chance that we may fail to successful kill animals to bring back with us, However...I do feel it is best." Luz told them calmly. She then looked at all the newcomers before moving her hand behind her back and smiling at them warmly. "Are newcomer must be tired from making such a trip to our cave so it may be easier and safer for them if we move in a group." Luz pointed out while making it seem like she cares about them. The way see sees it, coming to the newcomer with them would allow her to check on how strong they were and help sure they don't end up dying to soon.

Zectoll

Day 5:Scouting ahead

From his vantage point within the branches of the tree, Zectoll saw little movement. It seemed as if the immediate area around the cave was bare of prey. Zectoll climbed down, and peered into the cave. It seemed Lomen was gathering together the hunting party. Zectoll decided that he would scout out the hunting grounds ahead of the main party. Kishi's map was fresh in his mind, and having hunted in the same areas as Lomen, Zectoll was confident that he knew where in which his brother would guide the group.

Zectoll was keen on being precousious, as he was alone. The fear of death was still poignant in his mind, with the passing of Kishi still fresh on his senses. But Zectoll could not give into the sadness and fear, as he remembered his ultimate goal of conquest. He would press on, despite being afraid, trusting in his new skills to help him survive. Slowly he crept through the brush, in his Predator Stance as his eyes scanned for signs of suitable prey, as well as dangerous predators. He would ensure that the hunting grounds were safe for his clan to use, flying back to warn the hunting party of any danger, or boon.

- Skubli -

Skubli observed the wide variety of events from the shadows, quite intimidated by the new group. The five new goblins, news of a fallen sibling, and various other activities overwhelmed his small self. Skubli slowly breathed in and out, ignoring the forms passing near him or calling out as he attempted to reorient himself. Hot panic welled up in his chest, however he forced himself to put it back down. He wasn't willing to fall prey to another weakness. This was a brutal world of killer dominance; if he wanted to survive, he would have to be tougher. Sneakier. Stronger.

The tiny goblin shook his head violently and stepped forward, forcing himself to stand tall. Not a single other goblin noticed him, which both comforted and discouraged the tiny runt at the same time. Hunting parties began being formed, and Skubli knew if he just sat there, they would leave without him and he would have nothing but iron to sustain him.

You need food. If nothing else, you need food. Mentally encouraging himself, Skubli stepped forward again and raised his tiny head up. "Yan-took, I would like to join you."

His weak voice was slightly overshadowed by the clamor of the other goblins, however he wasn't going to give up. He needed to convince them he was needed. "I know the woods. No one has spent more time in them than me."

Tsku

Tsku listened to the other goblins opinions and was glad to see that they were taking his and the other new goblins' safety and well-being into consideration. At the same time, however, they all needed to eat and his tribe was not going to be join this family as a burden. No, they needed to pull their own weight if not more. Tsku stepped forward.

"Thank you for your concern. We are in need of a good night's sleep. But we do not wish to harm our hunting trip's chance of success. Let us split into two groups. Yan-took and I have much endurance and I am quite familiar with the many different creatures of the forest. The skills I've honed over time grant me great freedom when roaming amongst the forest animals and I can push my body beyond its limits with little consequence. I will bring back better prey if I can use my skills without bringing awareness to our overall presence." He nodded, as if reaffirming his and Yan-took's potential. "Do not worry yourselves with our well-being. Let us hunt as you would normally and bring back enough food for the entire party."

Yan-Took

Seems like all the goblin that wanted to volunteer have done so. Yan-took leaves the village with few other goblins with their weapon of choices. He can already fill the comradery forming.

Yan-took wants to take off before other goblin protested about not forming a proper hunting party. But Yan-took instinctively knew that if he were to go with a too large party, their chance at even finding a game would be substantially lowered. After all, stealth is the key to a successful hunt. Or the innate ability of Tsku who would draw out timid prey to him like a legend of the siren in the ocean. But Yan-took knows nothing of this forest. Too far from where he was from, this forest was not as sparse. More trees provided better concealment for the likes of him, but if he cannot navigate back to the village, there was no point in leaving. The goblin who said he knows the forest around would be an asset to the hunting party, along with his small stature to conceal him.

But the opinion of the group mattered too. They were, after all, a family now. Yan-took considered few things. If he can convince that Tsku takes the point in the hunting group, not all animal might run away from the group. That, in turn, might give few goblin brethren to sneak around the animal, effectively cutting off the retreating passage.

Yan-took follows the trail of the group with slight discomfort of not having enough food in the stomach and carrying his club for an extended period of time on his right shoulder.

@rbwls8028@Acid Hippie@December@El Noche

hunting party 1-

As the goblins took what they needed they found themselves splitting up into two groups. The first group that accompanied their big brother Zectoll ended up finding a small group of horned rabbits. In front of them showed one Alpha horned rabbit and two 3 females two looked fat while the third looked normal. It seemed as though the two female rabbits were actually pregnant thanks to the work of the alpha male in front of them. No doubt the Alpha and the normal female would fight tooth and nail or tooth and horn in this case to protect the pregnant females. The goblins now needed to make a decision on how they would deal with the moral dilemma, would they kill all the rabbits or only those that fought and leave the pregnant females alone. It is always a fight for survival but did any of the goblins have what their previous lives would call humanity?

@demonspade64@The 4 Winds@caliban22

hunting party 2-

The second group that went out to try and hunt went a different direction from the first ones. They kept moving until they were lucky enough to find themselves. They themselves were treated to the sight of a stamp boar getting attacked by two different wolves. They were treated to the sight that despite how they have always tried to hunt them they were now hunting each other and if they played their cards right they could end up with more meat then they would need for the entire clan. They simply needed to wait and plan a perfect ambush while they were distracted.

Grandpas help-

Granpa smiled as his goblins went out to hunt once again before he was with stegs as he started to treat the two goblins still with them that obviously needed their help. One was better off though and asked how she could help he decided that if she wanted to help he could give her something easy to do. He then showed her a few berries and said "Young one I need you to go out and pick these berries and avoid the yellow ones. These are good to eat and they are used to help make the medication we will use to help your brother" Grandpa told her before he brought Shiba deeper into the cave. Once inside he had stegs with him as he examined the young goblin obviously tired but sadly he also had a broken leg that he was running on for who knows how long. It was a miracle the young goblin didn't collapse ages ago from the pain. "Im going to show you how to treat a broken bone" he said as he started to work on Shiba...

Stegs

While some of the other Goblins were discussing hunting arrangement Stegs hurried to Grandpa to help out with the most serious injuries of the newcomers. While he was curious about what he would learn, he hoped he would never need that knowledge. When he arrived at the spot Grandpa had chosen for the treatment, he noticed one of the newcomers trying to help.

For some reason the female goblin got sent out to collect more berries. Stegs was just about to tell her to use some of his supply, when he realized Grandpa knew about the stash. Trusting that the Elder had his reasons to give her busywork he stayed quiet."Im going to show you how to treat a broken bone" Stegs decided he should really pay attention, cause a broken bone was the most serious injury he could think of that any Goblin could survive. "Understood. Tell me how to help."

Yan-Took

All Yan-took wants is a simple meal. And these horned rabbits will fill his hungry belly. After all, it is not a goblin, therefore it does not need a sympathy from a goblin. He wants meat and he will hunt.

Yan-took is still waiting for the response of his hunting party. Yan-took justifies himself in a logic that if all goblins agree to hunt, he will need to position himself in a good place. Yan-took will move away in left to circle widely around to cut off these tasty prey if they try to escape.

Yan-took whispers to his brethren what they will do "Ready to hunt?"

Tsku

Parting foliage before him, Tsku spotted the family of horned rabbits and immediately noticed the pregnant females. His eyes lowered to the ground beneath them for a moment before he took a deep breath and looked at the goblins near him. He did not know how the senior goblins of the tribe would react, but he assumed they would be just like his brother Yan-took; hungry and primarily concerned with their own survival. His eyes had another perspective however. Not just from his understanding and belief in nature's balance, but something else he could not explain, a feeling within himself.

Tsku did not speak yet, however. Instead he waited for the rest of his tribe to react, particularly the senior members. Though he saw the creatures as more than food, living beings that follow nature's unspoken law as all others did, he also acknowledged that the tribe was now under severe and unfortunate circumstances. They all needed food desperately and they may not be able to spare every poor animal that came into their sights via opportunity. But should they kill the entire family, Tsku would be left with a dark feeling inside. It may not seem like the smartest or easiest decision, but Tsku felt they should perhaps overlook the majority of the family and only take the female that was not pregnant. But that would only be one meal, hardly enough to feed even one goblin for long. Tsku could not and would not force his belief on the others. He would simply refrain from this meal should they proceed with killing them all, that he had decided. That would free up his meal for others and reduce his negative experience. Out of respect for the rabbits, he did decide to at least mention their state in case the others had failed to notice. After all, he was attuned with nature and others might not make such quick observations, especially while so hungry.

"Two of the females are pregnant." Tsku stated blankly and matter of factly, keeping his emotion hidden.

Luz

So it seems that though Luz wishes for the group to stay together to decreased the risk, Everyone else, on the other hand, were willing to risk their life for the good of the group, including the newbies who just took one hell of a trip. Luz actually respects everyone for there bravely and chose not to objected to plan B, after all the vote were amount unanimous. AS they were about to leave who couldn't help but wonder if brother Zectoll and brother Skubli would be okay with the other newcomers. Though She heard that Zectroll was strong so maybe he could carry the other team.

Before the encounter with their pray, Luz told the two other goblins about her two skill. One was Precise Strike which would allow her to deliver an empowered spear strike to her opponent, the other was Quick multi-strike. Which she spoke highly about. "Thanks to all that hard training last night i was about to develop a skill called Quick Multi-strike. With this, deliver multiple strikes to the opponent or opponents in front of me. I can't wait to kill things with this skill." She said with such joy, glee, and bloodlust that it probably made the group glad she was on their side. It was probably a good idea for Lomem to tell the group about his Challenge skill.

Meanwhile, they were hunting, it was probably thanks to Idus's tracking skills that they were able the find the two wolf and the Boar(*wink wink*). With the prey in sight, Luz then duck down to help keep hidden while the three discuss or review their plan. Hopefully, it would be to review so they can review this plan A.S.A.P.

First Lomem will move close to them and used Challenge skill to keep the three from running away. Then Idus would use his bow to kill or injury the Boar as soon as the effect by Lomem's skill. That way Lomem would hopefully only have to protect himself from two opponents instead of one. Finally, Luz would move into the side of Lomem attacks and use her Quick multi-strike to injury and or kill the wolf's attack Lomem, and hopefully, Lomen could deliver the final strike to one of the wolfs before Luz skill could finish them off. That way all three could get some XP just encased it wasn't shared between them.

Idus listened silent, his hands gripped how bow tightly. Normally he hated having people with him when he hunted, others tended to be a distraction. He would only have one shot to either kill or wound his pray, the likely hood he would get a second shot was slim. Slowly as the others came up with a plan he examined his bow carefully, making sure there were no cracks in the limbs or frayed bow string. Any hunter worth anything ensure their tools were up to the task. He had hand made this bow a long time ago, everyday he made sure it was in good working order by practicing with it for hours. After checking the body over with his hands and eyes he gently pulled back the string. Satisfied the bow will work he turned his attention to his arrows. Each one was hand crafted by Idus and deserved the same attention of his bow. Most would believe a Goblins arrows to be little more then sharpened sticks with ratty feathers tied to them with little to no accuracy farther then a few feet. Idus's arrows were far different then that, many were taken from elvish and human corpse's. Idus would go to great length to retrieve his arrows.
One shot...one kill he thought with a chuckle. Suddenly a thought came to mind I really should play nice...they did take us in...don't want to make any of them feel bad. He thought with a laugh as every begain depart to hunt.
Idus moved a head of the rest of his group. He was tracking a Boar quickly as he could while ensuring the other keep up. Suddenly he came unto the scene of the boar and two wolves. The wolves were not really good for eating, but Idus always wanted a wolf pelt, maybe a cape or something to keep him warm on those long winter hunts. After informing the others and being informed of a plan he quickly moved into position, determined to get his pelt.

- Skubli -

Skubli stood in the middle of the group, his weaponized horn held closely to his form. It was small, just the right for a Goblin of his size. A group of four horned rabbits grazed peacefully a small distance away, unaware of the nearby prowling Goblins. Their forms were outlines nicely by the green forest behind them, providing decent clarity.

"Two of the females are pregnant." Tsku's voice was quiet yet firm, without any real kind of tone. Skubli nodded faintly and adjusted his grip on the horn.

"They will protect the weak." Skubli couldn't help but notice the differences between Goblins and rabbits. The rabbits would give their lives for the weaklings, the runts, but the green, reptilian race was more of a fend for yourself, despite the caring community he had been fortunate enough to be formed into. Skubli wasn't positive what gave him the feeling other Goblin communities were more brutal, however it was still there, faint yet persistent. "We should target the guardians first. The pregnant ones will struggle to flee in time. We can track them down."

The question of morality didn't even cross Skubli's mind. It was hunter or hunted, and you merely had to be the most cunning to survive.

Kalista

Kalista nodded passively in response to granpa's instruction. Simple enough to collect these berries, simply avoiding the yellow ones and any other danger she found along the way. She stepped out of the cave, following behind the hunting party slowly. This way she could look for berries and still be able to help, or be helped, if someone ran into trouble. It was more productive than going by herself, where she couldn't help anyone and might be attacked while alone, which could be bad in her fatigued state. So Kalista went along, thoroughly searching the forest as she went behind the hunting party.

Zectoll

Day 5:First Hunting Group: Of hearts and Minds

The air of the forest wafted pleasantly against his green skin, as Zectoll stalked though the shadows of the forest with Skubli and the new comers who had accompanied them. Being together in the forest with such a band reminded him of his first hunt, and the excitement he felt that day. The memory was bittersweet, he would not allow himself to become so attached to these new goblins, not until they proved themselves as lasting members of the cave.

Soon enough, the group encountered some prey. Zectoll eyed the quarry, his mind pondering the coming kill. This would be easy enough, as they had both superior numbers and the element of surprise. It did not matter to Zectoll the state in which his prey existed, they would all fall under goblin hands. Though his mind did drift to the words of Goblin Stegs. The two pregnant females would likely die without the protection of the Alpha, easy prey for the other beasts of the forest. Within the two pregnant horned rabbits grew more rabbits, more meat. Goblins like Kishi and Stegs, free to study pursuits other than death...hmm Certainly, it was more fitting for a goblin to eat meat than mere plants, suddenly Zectoll had an idea.

We will kill the Alpha and the guardian female without mercy..yes, but the two pregnant females we shall attempt to capture alive. So that Goblin Stegs and the others can devise a way for us to benefit from the production of rabbit flesh in the long term. Certainly we could learn much from such an endeavor. Zectoll whispered to the rest of his party, gripping his medium horn, and readying his fang fist. Goblin Tsuku and I will attack first slaying the Alpha and the guardian. Goblin Skubli and Yan-Took shall strike while their attention is on us. We will focus on killing the Alpha and the guardian female first, then we will do our best capture the two pregnant females alive. Do your best, but do not stake your life on their capture...your lives are much too precious to the cave.

Zectoll then took up position to attack the group of rabbits. After everyone is in place, Zectoll shall emerge from his hiding place, beginning the engagement by attacking the Alpha horned rabbit with Savage Strike, aiming to take the creature down quickly by taking it by surprise.
