@Ninian @Light LordSelena the Bayleef and Ember the Quilava
[Folio Town - Entrance to the Trunk]The two smiled as the group shared a rather heartfelt moment together.
"I know we can figure this out together, we'll find a way!" Said Ember, very confidently.
"It won't be easy, but I agree that we'll be able to-" Selena started when, with her eyes closed, she felt a sudden force against her that pushed her and Ember to the ground.
"Ouch..." Ember replied somewhat casually.
"Could have given us a bit of warning..." Ember said with a laugh.
Selena's mind was otherwise occupied with a sudden pain in her left front paw. Taking a look at it, it had a low amber red coloring around what would be her ankle.
"Oh no..." She thought, shaken from her thoughts by Ember.
"Hey, Selena, you okay? You're zoning out a little." She said. Inconspicuously hiding her injured paw, she replied.
"Yeah, sorry, had to catch my breath... that's all... knocked the wind out of me." She answered.
Ember smiled, never the wiser.
"Alright, yeah, I didn't see that coming either. Hey Devon, you okay?" She continued on, Selena alone with her thoughts.
"Should I have lied... Mom told me never to tell a lie... but I don't want to ruin this for everyone... it's our first adventure together... besides, it doesn't hurt that bad... well... maybe a little... but I can take it." She thought silently while the group recovered.
Omen the Absol and Serenity the Sylveon
[Folio Town - Folio Guild]Omen couldn't believe what he was hearing. From the sounds of the Flygon Guild Master, he was getting lectured for doing what was right. Well... on one hand, his explanation hadn't been very well spoken... he was never good with words... but what the Guild Master said next really rubbed the disaster Pokemon the wrong way. The Guild Master was going to change nothing about his plans. The anger was starting to seep through, and Serenity saw this. She had to take over.
"I'm... sorry if Omen offended anyone about what he said... he's not the best when it comes with words." She said, taking the floor a little ahead of Omen.
"Omen spent a great deal of time speaking with our Guild Masters about the issue. They meditated together, coming to this decision as a group, a family." She explained.
"Although not all of the details were clear, we had enough to go off of to know what was going to happen."Taking a breath, she continued.
"We didn't come JUST to help Folio, we came to serve as messengers spreading warning of what would come. From us spread more messengers, so word is spreading quickly." She looked over at Omen, who had his head hung low and eyes shut in anger.
"My partner did speak rather quickly about being here to help, and we'll do what we can while we're here. But we're... just the messengers." She finished, looking at the crowd that seemed to be almost glaring at them.
"So... with that said... we need to prepare for our next journey... we'll be in town if you wish to... speak with us for any reason. Let's Go Omen." She said, with a bit of force and emphasis on her last words. Without another word from Omen, he and the Sylveon at his side made their exit, the Glaceon waving kind of awkwardly.
"O-kay then... well... bye." She said before darting to catch up with the others.
[Folio Town - Outside the Guild]After passing by the Guild Guards once more, Omen finally let it loose.
"I Can't Believe Them!" He said angrily.
"The Apocolypse is Practically on Our Doorstep, and They Don't Seem to Be Taking It Seriously. There's No Running, There's No Hiding!" He said, Serenity trying to calm him.
"Easy, maybe they're working harder than you think...""No, I Can See What Kind of Community This Is. One Where the Guild Doesn't Trust The Citizens It Swore to Protect. I Just..." He paused, his head turning out towards the desert.
"What is it?" Serenity asked.
"It Isn't Here. The Focal Point... It isn't here..." He replied, Serenity and Krystal looking at each other with questioning glances.
"Never mind. Let's just get some gear, we'll probably just spend the night, then... well... I don't know yet..." He said as the trio headed towards the Town Center.
Fuse the Luxio and Hikari the Luxio
[Folio Town - Observation Post]The two Electric Types laid side by side as they looked over the vast desert that surrounded Folio.
"It's actually been a long time since I've seen the view like this... usually the sandstorm blocked the view, but it stopped a few days ago..." Fuse explained.
"It's amazing... it really is breathtaking." She replied.
He sighed.
"Look, I don't care how much the clan wants me back. I set out with a purpose, and I still haven't fulfilled it. Until I can do that, I won't go home." He said, Hikari looking at him.
"And like I said, I set out with a purpose too, and I'm not going home until I finish that." She replied with a smug smile on her face.
The two sat in silence for a while.
"So... how long are we going to sit here?" She asked.
"As long as we want, I guess. There's no jobs to do, and the Guild Master hasn't announced any big plans yet... so we pretty much have all day to ourselves." He said.
"That works for me!" She finished as they continued looking off across the desert.
