Good morning folks, I hope everyone has survived their weekend adventures!

Post should be done by this afternoon, I'm trying to tidy up a kitchen and bake in at the same time this morning.

Edit: Might be a little later at this rate, somehow I have managed to foul up choux pastry. The moral of this story is "if you try and do two things at once, it's probably a bad idea and you shouldn't do it, you twerp".

@HylozoistI barely survived mine. I have an injury to show for it. Just a sprain, nothing to worry about. But I won't be going on any adventures for the rest of this week. Staying at home and RPing only.

Shows me for jumping around my kitchen like a maniac. Not even doing any kitchen related activities, just jumping! That's all I literally did! I then slipped, fell, and slammed my foot into the cabinet. I don't know why I shared this story. But it's out there already, and I'm too lazy too edit it out. Oh well. x_x

@HylozoistYeah I was surprised as well. Apparently jumping around a kitchen with a frying pan of burning oil is a fire hazard.

And you know what else? Apparently that really nice Nigerian prince guy who offered me a portion of his wealth in exchange for temporary use of my bank account was a scam. I didn't know people lied on the Internet. I was shocked to say the least.

There's a reason why the map in Crusader Kings 2 doesn't go as far south into Africa as Nigeria, and that's because (judging from the emails I've received over the years), there are so many Nigerian Princes that the game simply wouldn't be able to handle it.

Also, sorry about the delay folks, I've been using my tablet to check the site this week (my battered old Asus thing that takes ten minutes to successfully load up a page with Chrome), which doesn't make writing and editing big posts particularly easy. I should have time on Thursday and Friday this week to actually sit down at my desk and get to writing.

A little bit strung out by how busy this week has turned out to be, and debating the merits of replacing my (once trusty) ancient tablet and finding some sort of laptop that can handle living in a kitchen. What happened with the trolls?

Oh they were just being trolls.

I'd suggest something like that too. I dunno a laptop that can handle constant flour splashes or something like that though. If you want one that can get knocked around a lot though. (If they're still in business) Toshiba with an SSD can take quite a beating. If not, Dell is a good second choice. NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER get HP or Compaq, those things are horrendous quality.

Was thinking maybe a laptop aimed at children, someone must make sturdy ones for them.

Apologies about the delay in posting - my "free Sunday" is turning out to be significantly less free than I had hoped it would be.

Did I forget that one of my cousins was in the city? Yes. Did I forget that I told him it'd be a-okay to come over when we discussed it last month? Yes. Did I arrange for cosplay chums to come over? Yes. Am I now hiding away in the other room while two sides of my life that I'd happily kept separate weird each other out? Yes.

Okay, Monday has arrived, yesterday's crisis is mostly dealt with now I've walked my cousin to the station, and I'm now back at my desk. This probably isn't the greatest post in the storied history of the Guild, but hopefully it'll get things moving along again.

As always, I'm sorry that it's taken so long - I hope that this rather erratic posting pace isn't too much of a problem for people, and I thank you all for your patience!

Made that Ratatouie I was talking about. Had to make some recipe substitutions, but it turned out alright. Needed more salt and peper, but for pepper seasoned baked veggies it was pretty good.

My experience with doing vegetables is that they nearly always need more salt than I think they do, the tricky blighters. How'd the aubergine eggplant go?

Fine. We had a giant eggplant and tiny squash though so we had to chop the eggplant up a bit before throwing it in the food processor. Only problem, my mom decided to cook double than what we needed since she wanted to use the eggplant up and the veggies were more upright instead of laying flat, so I dunno how that changed the taste.

But man that stuff fills you up fast. lol.

No worries - there's been a pretty big gap between my posts lately, and so I'm not that worried about having to wait a while for other people to reply! The game can trot along at a slower pace for a while!

@HylozoistSorry I haven't really been posting, but Elarin wasn't really going to do anything during that entire showdown, so I felt it was best to just wait until it was over and do a larger post covering his reaction to the entire thing, which will be up by the end of the day today.
