Probably because people actually want to win, so they play the most effective cards possible.
Toons aren't terrible; Toon Kingdom is fucking hardcore one of the best fieldspells to ever exist, and the rest of the Toon Spells are also amazing. Toon Red-Eyes and Dark Magician are basically gods, they just appear and flex all over the field until you have an army of beatsticks who pretty much can't die unless your opponent wastes a shitton of resources.
They're annoying little shits, and I love them for it
@Raddum Thats why I love them too. But next banlist worries me with Imperial Order being legal again AND being buffed on top of that though. At least Paleo will be sorta dead next list when Necrovalley gets its erata so maybe we wont see lots of Order xD. That new necrovalley erata is what this game needs. Completely shutting down the graveyard entirely is great.
So for the guardian card, I'm thinking something with Pegasis involved. Can't think of a proper name though, but a cartoony pegasis as the 'super big boss guardian monster' just works so well. Also dunno about effect. Guessing they act like Toon Kingdom or give Toon Kingdom effects to spell/trap cards? Don't wanna make it broken, since we wont be having any of those tier 0s here and instead we get to have insane fun with stuff like Ancient Gears n stuff.
@Ammokkx Yeah I guess. Though I only seem to play Monarchs, Paleyos, Zoo, Pendulums, and the odd Infernity deck at locals. Hardly anyone plays fun decks >.<. So my experience is kinda skewed.
Don't worry, you won't have the same experience here, I guarantee it.
@Raddum and @Ammokkx speak the truth, Toons have quite a few powerful support cards to give them the push they need. So no need to worry, dood.
@Alder, you need to fix your character image dood. It broke.
Well, none of us are running off the most current banlist so you don't need to worry about Imperial Order. None of us are even running a ton of meta shit. My most meta cards are Twin Twister and Trade-In, lmao. I mean... I'm running a copy of Magical FUCKING Hats! Which I also do for ancient gears irl, but that aside, it's magical hats.
Toons will be able to work their magic here. Though I have a few solutions, I think. Mainly just punching them in the face.
Just need a picture. Might touch up on a few things later, especially the Extra deck, depending on what the GM says about everything. Also I seem to be very unoriginal with names xD.
Typical skinnier bodytype for her age, although she does have wider hips than normal, which really makes her bell dress look big.
Name:Lucille 'Light' "Insert last name I feel like using here, usually Smith or Jane or Doe."
Handle: Toon Girl / "That Crazy Toon lady"
Gender: Female
Age: 20
Personality: Light is Fun-loving, very open-minded, honest, nonchalant, peace-loving, mischievous, and sometimes overly analytical or logical due to toon thinking making her extremely Genre Savvy. She tends to always have a smile on her face and rarely ever gets mad. She also loves to make friends, and can be very gullible because of this. Shes very quick to give out her trust, but its extremely hard to earn it back if you lose it. She isn't brainless though, and can quickly pick out someone who is evil. Just don't purposely try to make her mad. While it might sound fun since its so hard to make her mad, being around Toons teaches someone a lot about violence and what to use for it and how.
Bio: Things tend to change when you find a deck full of Toons after some strange shady people drop them after crying some non sensible words before running off to who knows where. Light really didn't understand what the hubub was all about, she loved her new toon companions. It reminded her of all those shows she saw on TV. Sure most of the time they picked on each other, but hey, at least she wasn't alone when wandering the streets anymore. Living with these toons for over 10 years though does warp your perception of the world. Its sorta hard to stay sane when you have all these different Toons hitting or shooting each other with various weapons for fun while making humerus observations about the world, Inkmaster being the best at this. Of course out of all the Toons, he looked the most 'normal', if you can call it that. Its really weird that he tends to know what people are thinking, and for some weird reason he looks awfully familiar...
Deck:
Monsters 3x Toon Dark Magician 2x Red-Eyes Toon Dragon 2x Toon Gemini Elf 2x Toon Masked Sorcerer 1x Toon Cyber Dragon 3x Black Stone of Legend
Spells 3x Toon Kingdom 3x Toon Table of Contents 3x Allure of Darkness 2x Terraforming 2x Comic Hand 2x Mystical Space Typhoon 1x Mimicat 1x One for One
Counter Trap You can only activate this card if you control a face up Toon monster. If an opponent's effect that doesn't target affects a Toon monster(s), you can apply that effect to an opponent's monster(s) instead.
Extra Deck 1x Number 11: Big Eye (unless there is a rule with number cards like the anime, in which case I can drop this.)
Guardian Monster:
Summoning Condition To Guardian Summon this monster, you must have less than 2000 lifepoints, and a faceup Toon World. From your Hand, Field, or Graveyard, Banish 5 Toon Cards with different names. This summon can't be negated.
Hmmmm, I'm thinking I should make a small change in my custom field spell Temple of Silence.
Here's the first version:
Spell type: Field Effect: Activate only if you control a face-up "Silent Magician" or "Silent Swordsman" monster. Once per turn, you can negate the effects of all face-up monsters on the field until your next Standby Phase. This card's activation and effect cannot be negated. At the End Phase, if you do not control a face-up "Silent Magician" or "Silent Swordsman" monster, destroy this card.
And here is the edited version:

I say let @GarlandDaHero look over it before putting it in the character tab, but as far as I'm concerned, you're good.
I think Itaki is gonna favor her over most of the competitors; She seems like the kind of fun that just meshes with his childish side that would lead to him trying to be a buddy during the tournament. Expect some cheering from the sidelines and comical downplay of the others if they end up getting along. :P

What do you guys think?
Personally, I'd go with the second version. The added restrictions/limitations/whatever make it a bit less abusable, and the negation of only opponent monster effects balances it out nicely.

I'll be glad to help you decide on a surname and appearance through PMs.
Number monsters are perfectly fine; in this RP, they're simply treated as ordinary monsters. They still get their "archetype" support though, don't worry.
Accepted; I'll add your character to the list once we decide on a surname and appearance, however.
So basically I went into full study mode today, but I managed to irresponsibly find time to make this. I'm not used to making card effects, much less balanced ones, so if something is super wrong or needs to be adjusted go ahead and tell me.
Can only be Guardian Summoned when the user's Life Points are below 2000. Banish one HERO monster from
your field, grave, or hand to summon this card. This card's summoning cannot be negated. While this card is face
up on the field your opponent cannot activate traps, and this card cannot be affected by card effects if there is
