Hey Ariamis. Just a heads up since it looks like you missed it. Jake left two of his recon drones to Lorenzo or Ritsu on the bridge of the flagship so you control those two that are outside the station. I made up some techno BS that Jake linked two of his drones to the ship's bridge so...yeah...-__-'

Post is up! TL:DR included both here and in the post itself for convenience.

TL:DR

- Ribasu engaging the Mystery Unit in Square E3
- Volley of Missiles fired while half-charge of Railgun was achieved
- Railgun fired, armorpiercing shot
- Jason trying to figure out a strategy to engage, speaking to Ribasu a bit

Hey quick question, when counting off the range of things and movement, does moving diagonally count as one or two spaces? Like would the targets in H5 count as being 5 or 6 spots away from the Hou Yi?

Also I am embarrassed to ask but how do the rules for movement work again? My recollection is that without a speed boost, a mech can move two spaces as a full movement, move one space and attack once, or fire twice without moving?@Ariamis

There is a slight change in range when shooting diagonally, usually a space or so. In your given example, the range would be 5. A mech can either move one space and attack, or move two spaces without attacking, which is called dashing. Attacking twice is not possible, but attacking is improved when not moving. Then there's additional systems that circumvent these rules a bit, such as speed boosters and ATS.

So I am conflicted as to what to do. I can keep holding up the shield, creating a small area of cover, which nobody is directly taking advantage of at this point, Or I can use wave surger and do a sweeping shot to do a larger area of damage. I can do that right there, targeting the crystal and interceptor mists, or I can jump over to one side or the other. If I put myself right in front of the mass of CWM, I could possibly take a bunch out, or at least partially damage a bunch of them? Or I am completely overestimating the potential power of this weapon and just put myself directly in the way of a bunch of turrets, cwm, and snipers. If I don't make as drastic of a move, I should be able to target the other mystery unit with my wave surger, and not bother with a sweep in order to really put as much damage onto it as possible.

So I guess if I were to put it up to a consensus vote here on two options, keep up the shield or attack mystery unit?

He dies and that's blow up number 1.

The second blow up happens at the end of the battle. I won't say why or what in case you're intent on reading that.

Hahaha, I've always wanted at least one of my characters to die that sort of death. Wasn't what I expected, but I'm happy that Harold's death was glorious.

Oh wow, I didn't expect to see you return here at all! Welcome back. Harold served well as the role of Worf, but his death did prove critical for the Squad's victory there. Oh, and in case you're still interested, you could join as a prisoner aboard the Cruxi base or as a clone of Harold.

@SillyGoy Wibby! Seriously though, I think at this point we have enough people resolved to finish this damn storyline that unless the Boss goes missing, it is going to be finished.

So, one vote for staying put with the shield up, and one vote for it wont matter once they start changing angles.
