It's probably fine. I think you should just go ahead and post.
I don't mind either. My character isn't really experienced in alliance matters (or diplomacy at all), so she'd probably would wait until someone brought it up.
-Battle Gear: (still deciding on armor) Melchior isn't much of a fighter, he brought a couple members of his Honor-Guard to protect him.
Biography: Melchior doesnt really know who his parents were, he was taken in by the Order of St. Serafina at an early age. Life at the convent was pretty good, they had a massive library where he could read at his leisure. At the age of 17 he became the priest of a small community and became a central figure in that town. After 8 years serving the town he was made a bishop. As Bishop he established the "Imperial Messenger Service" that has now spread across the world. He continued to climb up the ladders of the Papacy achieving the rank of Archdeacon at 36. During his lifetime he had made many allies and many enemies inside and outside of the papacy that lead to an assassination attempt, while the assassins were caught it revealed a conspiracy within the church. Melchior was made pontifex 8 years ago. He views peace as of utmost importance and is dedicated to preventing its end. Personality description: Melchior is very dedicated to his work but is willing to accept help from others when needed, he has a sense of humor and often shows up to events (except very serious or somber events) in funny hats (even funnier than his usual hat). He spent a large part of his life in relative luxury so isnt as used to being in the wild. Likes: Natural Sciences, Art, being treated as a person, stage magic, exotic food, tales from far off lands, craftsmanship Dislikes: Corruption, Irresponsibility, Con-Artists, Being outside of a city ___________________________________________________________________________________________
Country sheet:
Name: Imperial Papacy of Divine Schema Political System: Complex theocracy with elements of technocracy, republic, and beurocracy. Flag: (still deciding) Territory Description: The capital of the Imperial papacy is a highly irregated land filled with canals. Culture Descrption: The Divine Schema is a religion tracing back its roots to a much older polytheistic religion but over time became henotheistic and eventually monotheistic, with the veneration of Schema. This religion eventually replaced the government it served but took on many of the elements of the old government in the process. Schema tends to be fairly evangelical but is willing to accept the existence of other religions and the church generally accepts other paths as "more primitive methods of serving schema". A major tenet of Divine Schema is civic responsibility, all people are said to have a purpose in the divine plan and misusing power is seen as a major sin...doesn't stop it from happening of course. _______________________________________________________________________________________________
5'6'' is an okay height for a man in a medieval era. They didn't have access to everything we had, so their descendants (us) are generally taller than our ancestors.
Lance began to argue with himself back and forth about why he was sent here, when he realized, everything went quiet.
"Oh, are we starting?" he asked.
But instead he saw a familiar sight. The monks were once again stuck in various positions around the room. His allies around him had been seemingly frozen in time.
This time however, Lance decided to do things a little differently. Lance went over to a few of the monks and tried to move or lift them. Their joints could move, and the were weightless.
Taking a few of the monks, he decided have some fun. Lance would put them in varying positions, from one being on the table with an apple in his mouth, just like a pig, to even having a monk look like he was juggling his friends.
Leaving them as they were, Lance returned to his seat and sat back. Looking over at his companions, he decided to let them be for now. If time suddenly turned back on while Lance was turning Gioberto into a balerina dancer, he'd likely have to have a pretty akward conversation. The monks however, well, it's not like they're being hurt.
Yeah, you're right. I suppose we can just act like no one else is there and post like that?
*shrug* From what Will posted, it seemed as if he was the one that requested the meeting. I guess one of you can bring up some conversation, but as I said before, my character isn't well-versed in diplomacy, so Kasa would probably wait until someone brought up the various terms everyone (or at least their kingdom) wants.
