It's like if Kirby absorbed Joseph... It's terrifying.
Didn't notice it til you pointed it out. Dat face tho.
So, dunno if I asked this already or not, but what is everyone's favorite gen 7 pokemon? I'm kinda torn between Mimikyu, Tapu Lele, Lurantis, or Tsareena. Hope the anime gives me more pokemon to like then the team that I used to stomp the game. lol.
I like @Raddum's idea of Japanese characters speaking with honorifics(-san, -sama, -chan, etc.) and Americans/English/Whatever speaking normally, so let's go with that.
I wasn't really being serious but I'm glad we got that out of the way anyways, they say poor communication can be your downfall.
I'm well aware of the PoG meme, thanks to Reddit not shutting up about it. It's just that it makes 0 sense in that context, because DM explained it way more (including twice in the final duel!) than GX did.
Sorry for the long wait people, but I've finally finished my character :D
Name: Andrew Shade
Handle: Andrew
Gender: Male
Age: 18
Personality: Normally he is pretty shy and clueless, not knowing how to handle all kinds of situations. He isn't dumb, just very fast scared of failing. Turn up the pressure in a duel early-game and he has trouble keeping up with you. However, his Guardian doesn't only protect him on the field, it also protects him emotionally. When in the hardest part of a duel or in a situation outside the Duel Monsters arena, usually when under half his original LP or when in danger, the voice of his Guardian starts to guide him. He becomes calmer, thinks more rational and gains a bit of confidence. When in immediate lifethreatening danger or when his Guardian is out on the field, his personality and that of his Guardian almost seem to fuse: He becomes (over)confident, even a bit scary and seems to be a high level duelist.
Bio: Andrew had a rough time growing up. Not only was he very shy and scared from young age, he got bullied by a few classmates who were good in Dueling Monsters. The few cards Andrew had were overall weak compared to the bullies' high level-effect monsters. They would keep on beating him over and over and over, until one faithful day, when he was about to lose all faith in himself, a voice spoke to him. The voice told him that no card was weak as long as you could use them right. The voice guided him, helping him get back at his bullies and winning for the first time. Ever since, whenever he was in big trouble, the voice would help him, and he was able to get better cards through his new way of dueling. The voice, where he still doesn't know the origin from since he never used his Guardian before, would guide him through any big obstacle, while dueling and outside of a duel.
A random update from me, because I've decided to stop sitting on my ass and actually do something since we're doin' nothing.
I've begun working on some extra NPC duelists to throw you guys for a loop. Unlike Itaki, I'll be hiding their decklists; So playing against them will be a bit more surprising than the main group. This is a good chance for me to do some random shit that I have felt like trying with the new rules in place, so don't expect them all to be top tier. They will be able to overcome you though, for sure.
At least, some of them will. I'll probably throw in a few of my shitty scheme decks along the way.

Thank fucking god you don't show their decklists. The only reason PC decklists need to be public is so bullshit can't be called, but NPC duelists should not be held to the same standards.
It's be boring af if you knew what you could expect at every turn. Imagine my players' surprise when MST blew up Option Hunter of all possible traps at one point.

Basically the only reason I even showed Itaki's. It's a bit too much to lay it all on the GM to have possession of all the decks, and him alone. And as a partial player, it wouldn't be fair to just make me lug that info around either. IF MY FUN IS RUINED, SO IS EVERYONE ELSE'S!
But yeah. I'll be avoiding meta and using my personal YGOpro decks, mostly. Along with some stuff I'll craft specifically for this roleplay.
That card is terrible, holy shit. I hope your players slapped whoever was using it.

I can get away with tossing in trash cards. The decks in my RP aren't exactly powerful, they're shells of what they could be. This way I can design NPC duelists to also have lower powered decks and get away with it, tossing in some strange cards to spice up the duels and make it more entertaining.
I mean, you're looking at the guy who made this little thing:
Name: Fool's Gambit Spell Type: Normal Effect: Send this card to the graveyard
