I watched sailor moon once upon a time... I was a 'little' guy back then though, and I proffered the male character 'mostly' because I had a thing for tuxedo's, I thought they were really swank and such... I still remember this weird habit of imitating mercury's 'finger gun' fireballs xD
Never watched other animes of the sort I don't think... didn't even know it was called 'magical girl anime' XD
On the note of questions though!... If we get Twinned soul, is it an 'option' that, when 'disguised/untransformed' It's still one person, but splits into Two upon transformation? >3>
on another side note... I want to ask for an opinion on this.
When I first spotted the RP I did a test roll with a dice site to see if it would show me each individual roll, and it did, so I decided to try testing out what it would produce :D
I did a 'serious roll' later on and obviously came out with a wildly different result, but i'm conflicted on which one to go with >3>
I essentially have a choice between 'light based punch monkey with a sort of oracle-esque theme' and 'harbinger of not exactly evil Chaos with what seems to be a ton of perks/patron effects, but possibly lower over-all stats.'
One's fun because I like to punch things... fist weapons have always been a big favorite of mine :D but the other is fun because I 'love' experimenting with the concepts of Chaos and associated powers/weaknesses >3>
I could try doing both, but I'm not sure that's actually allowed >3>
@Card Captor Code Geass is freaking amazeballs. I enjoy that anime a little bit too much. :P
Name:
Castor Kerberos, aka Verdant Champion: Tenebrae
Age (Magical Girl): 14
Age (Before Magical Girl): 26
Gender: Male
Gender (Before Magical Girl): Male
Appearance:
Specialization:
Castor’s domain is over the might and fury of nature- he specializes in both Wood and Beast magic.
Weapon:
Vengeful Fang (Melee/Mystic)- One of Lady Anri’s holy regalia, a mighty greatsword carved from the tooth of a Fenris Wolf, with fragments of her soul woven into it. At once a devastating weapon of war, and a focus for Castor’s considerable magical power, this weapon is the symbol of the pact between the Unicorn and her Champion of the Wolf, Tenebrae.
Power:
Focused Assault- Castor's attacks may come slower, but there is significant weight behind each and every blow.
Perks:
- Enhanced Outfit- The fur coat of Tenebrae grants the strength of a predator upon its bearer. Castor gains more strength from his vestments than normal.
- Dual Weapon- The Vengeful Fang is one part weapon of war, one part holy artifact, and as such also aids in Castor’s spellcasting.
- Masculinity- Yep. Still a guy.
- Incognito- A predator must remain unseen, up until the moment he strikes. Castor is often overlooked by those not in the know.
- Interdimensional Tourist- Castor has a sponsor in the form of a mysterious traveler that has taken pity on him for some reason. Through him, Castor has a place to live, food, and a number of other amenities that he might need.
Patron:
Lady Anri, The Unicorn, Shepherd of All That Lives
Patron Benefits:
- Clergy- The Verdant Champions are the Unicorn’s priests, missionaries, temple guardians, and crusaders, all in one.. She will see to it that they are aware of how to perform their duties to her.
- Paragon- The might of the Unicorn flows from her to her Champions- they are bolstered by her greatness.
- Mana Font- Even in exile, Lady Anri’s powers are significant- all the more so, given that Castor is her only follower in this world.
- Magical Overload (Powerful Aura, Second Specialization)- Lady Anri’s boons are potent- though not without significant drawbacks. A human body can only contain so much power, after all, before improvements are needed. Still, for what it’s worth, Castor has become very powerful as a result of claiming the mantle of Tenebrae, side effects notwithstanding. He is proficient in Wood and Beast magic, and radiates an overwhelming presence to his enemies.
Patron Drawbacks:
- Rites- While simpler than some deities, the Unicorn does still have rites and rituals that her Champions must follow. In Castor’s case, as bearer of the mantle of Tenebrae, he must actively seek out and dedicate battles and victories to his Goddess. He must also regularly sacrifice the fruits of his hunts to the Lady Unicorn.
- Monstrous Form (Nonstandard Limbs, Warrior)- Lady Anri’s gift to her Champions comes with a price, for those who would claim it. Castor’s body has been altered to fit Anri’s idea of a Champion, including clawed hands and feet, canine ears, and a tail. He has also been “gifted” with a lust for battle, a desire to seek out mighty foes and triumph over them.
Fighting Style:
Castor’s fighting style can be described as “inexorable.” While he doesn’t have the speed of some of the Unicorn’s other champions in the past, or that of some of his fellow Mahou, Castor’s strength is the creeping of roots and vines tearing at stone, the inevitable march of the glaciers, and the unstoppable might of a steady river. Slower, but methodical, Castor uses his superior strength and fortitude in close quarters, crushing enemies with a steady march of relentless blows.Stats (Incognito):
STR: 5
AGI: 5
VIT: 5
MAG: 4
LCK: 5
Stats (Champion):
STR: 11
AGI: 6
VIT: 12
MAG: 12
LCK: 6
Personality:
Castor has seen better days, but his emotional state has stayed relatively the same as it’s ever been. He is a very gentle and caring individual, especially toward animals, and ESPECIALLY dogs. He’s always ready to help out those in need in whatever way he can, though he seems hesitant to let anyone else return the favor. He also, almost paradoxically, has a rather biting and sarcastic sense of humor.
Recently, due to his transformation, he has acquired a mild bloodlust- a need to fight, to battle strong foes and triumph. He refuses to fight his fellow Mahou under any circumstances but a friendly spar, but against demons and monsters he will terminate with extreme prejudice, even using his teeth and claws as weapons occasionally. Needless to say, this development disturbs him as much as it excites him.
History:
If there’s one good thing about the mess that Castor’s gotten himself into, it’s that there’s scarcely anyone left who will miss him. He was raised by his grandparents, who died shortly after he moved to Penrose. Any friends he had quickly fell out of contact soon after his move, as well. And anyone who’s left likely thinks he’s dead, on account of being caught in an explosion.
While working late at a warehouse one evening, a battle broke out between Magical Girls and a powerful monster, which, of course, led to some heavy collateral damage, with Castor caught in the blast. Severely injured, likely dying, and with the threat posed by the monster, Castor seemed to be a perfect candidate for a good old emergency transformation. He even unknowingly had powerful magic in his heritage! The Puchuu who went to offer him a contract congratulated himself on such a lucky find…
...Before something else got there first. Something much more dangerous and powerful than some uppity stuffed animal.
Anri, the Unicorn, long since exiled from her verdant halls, was drawn to Castor’s will to live, the magic already in his veins, and the empathy she could sense that he had for life. Truly, in this strange new world, she could not have found a better candidate for her first Champion. The deal was struck, the weapon placed in his hand, the power suffused into his being. Castor effectively died, and rose as something far, far greater...
Incantation:
“Breathe deep, O Hero! Rise, Verdant Champion! Howl, Tenebrae!!”
Additional Info:
His original last name is Porter; he changed it following his transformation to something more… wolf-y. Also, he was a vegetarian before his transformation. He’s not anymore. This upsets him.Type:
Deity
Name:
Lady Anri, the Unicorn, Shepherd of All That Lives
Appearance: Anri can be seen as one of two forms- a preternaturally beautiful and pale woman wearing a crown of leaves, or an abnormally large white horse bearing a single sharp horn upon its head.
Patron Benefits:
None
Patron Drawbacks:
- Unknown- Lady Anri has been exiled from her old plane of existence, and so must dwell in ours. Unfortunately, that means that absolutely nobody in this world knows who she is, and so she must renew her faith entirely from square one.
- Big Brother- The Unicorn is very interested in her Champion’s progress in spreading her holy word… which means that Castor can scarcely get a moment away from her prying eyes. She is very much a motherly figure, which sadly means she’s prone to smothering and coddling her followers.
Personality:
Lady Anri is known for two aspects- the Matron, and the Warrior. On the one hand, as the Matron, she is prone to lavish love onto her followers and treat them like they are her children- some might say too much so, as she has been known to try to coddle, shelter, and smother her followers, as a misguided attempt to protect them.
Her Warrior aspect emerges whenever someone disrespects her or threatens her congregation- swift to anger and vengeance upon her foes, striking with all the wrath of nature and its dangers. In this, she is very much like her epithet of Unicorn; calm and kind, she will bear you safely to your destination. Angered, she will trample you underfoot or gore you grievously.
History:
Anri was the Goddess of nature and the hunt on her home plane of Elswyr, a disc world originally meant as a resting point between dimensions, that grew to have a life and culture all its own once people began to stop and stay. In the wide, verdant forests that lay to the west, Anri’s followers worshipped her in the manner that befit her domain, in communion with nature and all its trappings.
Unfortunately, it was not to last- a dangerous entity descended upon Elswyr, specifically within Anri’s territory, and began to ravage her and her followers with darkness and fire. Known only as the Conflagration, the entity could not be reasoned or bargained with- its only agenda was destruction, the object of its ire, life itself. Though the Unicorn and her Champions fought valiantly, the Conflagration marched on inexorably, and one by one, all seven of her Champions were felled, and her followers vanquished. Grieving desperately, Anri fled her home plane, desperate that she may avoid witnessing anymore suffering.
Eons passed, and Anri eventually came across a new world- one brimming with life, magic… and also dangers and threats. Here, Anri sought redemption for her cowardice in protecting life and nature on this new world. To that end, she has enlisted Castor as her first new Champion, bearing the mantle of Tenebrae.
Resources:
While she is actively seeking to remedy this, Castor is the only person in this world that knows of her existence as of yet. Still, it’s not all bad- being Anri’s sole follower ensures that he gets the lion’s share of power and resources from her. Anri pays in mana, obviously, the only wealth she possesses, and she pays generously.
