Twenty-Four years ago the Power Rangers were assembled to stop the evil forces of Rita Repulsa, Rito Repulso and Lord Zed. Twenty-Four years ago five teens with attitude would have their lives changed in the blink of an eye as they were thrust into a life of heroics and righteousness. Twenty-One years ago the Power Rangers, having fought the forces of villainy for three long years in hundreds of battles, the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers made a final push against Rita, Rito and Zed in an attempt to once more lock them away in the moon. Unbeknownst to the Rangers they had been influenced by Remlin, a newly met ally in their journey towards world domination, who had the ability to influence people through their dreams. The Rangers were successful in their act but in doing so had used their power to escalate a battle, resulting in the loss of their powers and the Power Rangers disappeared, having given up all of their power in order to protect the planet from evil once and for all. The world lived in relative peace for years thanks to the Power Ranger’s sacrifice…
Until Today.
On April 11th 2017 an illegal weapon test was preformed on the moon’s surface which unintentionally broke open the seal that kept the evil group captive along with their numerous minions. Now Zordon has to call on a new generation of teens with attitude in order to save the planet from annihilation.
OOC
Hello and welcome to my Power Rangers RP interest check. I’m looking for around five players total for this RP but I would be willing to settle for three or four if there doesn’t seem to be enough interest to warrant a full team. This RP will also be using some tabletop elements in it’s fight scenes as well as a ‘season’ dynamic that I hope will give people some more incentive to continue the RP long term or at the very least give them an easy way out of the RP without derailing the rest of the RP. These two factors will be described better in it’s own category.
Synopsis
This RP will follow the events of a new team of Power Rangers (Power Rangers Neo) in an alternate time line to the television shows and movies. In this timeline the original Power Rangers had their powers revoked by Zordon after being manipulated into escalating a fight with Rita Repulsa, Rito Repulso, Lord Zedd and an original villain going by the name of Remlin (a dream manipulating/eating monster whom was directly responsible for the original Power Ranger’s fall from grace) which also resulted in the imprisonment of the four villains in the Moon. Now after 21 years of imprisonment the forces of evil are let loose on the world once again and in response Zordon makes the call for a force of five new teens to be Power Rangers.
Stats and Season Systems
First off let me thank @The Kid Lantern for allowing me to use an edit version of his Stat system that he’s been using for years.
Rather than make rolls for things, every official attack is an automatic hit with some freeform-writing misses thrown in there if you want. Damage is set and movement is the same as in a normal casual RP.
This edited system utilizes only four actual stats:
(HP)Health: Pretty self-explanatory, this is how many hits you can take before kicking the bucket. You don’t actually invest any points in this and its just an addition of Strength and Speed (ST+SP=HP)
(ST)Strength: This governs the damage of any and all attacks (ranged, melee, Zord, etc). 1-4 allows you to deal one damage, 5-9 allows you to deal two damage and 10 allows you to deal three damage.
(SP)Speed: This will govern a two things; how many times you can dodge attacks per encounter (The amount of dodges is immediately proportional to your speed stat) and how many actions you can make per post (1-4 is three actions, 5-9 is four actions, 10 is five actions)
IQ: This is for the more techie stuff of the Ranger’s arsenal. IQ is used when calculating a Zord’s health (IQ+SP+ST=Zord HP) and how much health is used up when summoning a weapon (will be elaborated later on)(1-3 weapon summon uses up six HP, 4-7 weapon summon uses up four, 8-10 weapon summon uses up two)
Weapons will give you a boost to your attack (equivalent of +2ST) at the cost of your own health (which depends on your IQ).
Initially every character will start off with eight point to distribute into their Stats and will gain more points to spend every five points. Here’s a chart for your convince.
Now when whatever monster we happen to be fighting decides to kick the fight into overdrive and grow, our teens with ‘tude will have to call on the awesome force of their Zords in order to form one of the mighty Megazords. The Megazords will have separate health for each Zord used in it’s construction though every player will have full control over the combined Megazord in their posts so long as their Zord’s health isn’t reduced to zero. If the Zord’s health is reduced to zero then that player loses control over the Zord though the other players are still able to use that player’s Zord in the Megazord robot formation.
The Seasons system will separate enemy encounters into ‘episodes’ which will ideally not last extremely long but still be entertaining and give us a narrative. The episodes will start with some time for character development then go into an initial encounter (then possibly more encounters and regroupings to add some extra suspense) and finish off with a Megazord fight. At the end of each episode, if a Player feels like they no longer want to continue the RP, they’ll be able to leave without disrupting the flow of the RP too much. At the end of certain amount of episodes there will be a season finally which will basically be a longer episode with a tougher fight and a lot more satisfaction (hopefully).
Conclusion
Well that’s all there is to the RP. Stat based Power Rangers action! So if you’ve managed to read to the bottom of this interest check of mine then I’ll take it your at least mildly interested so why don’t you make it public and let me know!
@Burning Kitty It's a trade off thing. You can forgo some precious bits of health to boost your attack or you can play it safe and stick to martial arts.
Also yeah, it can kill you if your health's to low but I'd warn ya before hand.
Personality: Blunt and brash, Tamora isn't afraid to show people her area of expertise and tell them just how wrong they are. This hasn't made her a popular girl around school, but she didn't go to high school to walk out with droves of friends. Those she trusts are few and far in between, but Tamora is willing to go to any lengths for those people.
Brief Bio: Tamora is a part of the generation after the power rangers, but that doesn't mean that she hadn't heard the stories. She spent all of her time inventing and playing around, trying to build her own giant robots to save people with since the power Rangers weren't around anymore. Almost all of her time was spent in a garage, workshop, or on the streets racing. She wasted no time in getting her feet on the road to drive the junkyard cars she spent so long fixing and tuning. She isn't the best loser around, but she doesn't rub her wins in the faces of others, only looking for the next challenge.
While more of a brawler, Tamora received martial arts lessons since she was a young child, and while skilled, she forgets to practice as much as she should.
Her father was an adreneline junkie as well, having been arrested on multiple occasions for racing and traffic violations. Rather than telling her to not take his path, he challenged her to do better, and she still has yet to be even identified by the police officers.

@Burning Kitty Well its just for stat system purposes. It'll allow you guys to summon weapons but not make it a random power up that has no place being there.
@Burning Kitty I'm just saying I thought it was a cool way of bringing in weapons and giving them a purpose rather than doing the same amount of damage as punches and kicks.
I know how the individual ranger weapons work with the stat system but what about the Blade Blasters and Thunderslingers? Colour: Yellow
Name: Justin Earhart
Age: 17
Personality: Personality: It's not easy to get Justin down for long, as he is naturally optimistic. On the other hand his refusal to accept that something is impossible can sometimes cause him to obsess over what he did wrong until he believes he has found the answer. He gets along easy with most people but has no interest in becoming more popular, and just wants people to like him for who he is.
Brief Bio: Brief Bio: Justin was born four years after the disappearance of the Power Rangers and grew up loving to hear the stories about their battles. Unfortunately his parents aren't exactly fans of the multicolored team, due to all the damage they caused with their Zord fights.
Like a lot of children of his generation Justin took up martial arts when he was eleven, and though he didn't like it as much as he expected he kept it up for five years before stopping. His parents made him spent most of his new found free time either helping out around the house, or on part time jobs, given his family wasn't exactly rich.
