Real Name:
Lilith Faust
Superhero Alias:
Mistress Justice
Age:
17
Gender:
Female
Species:
Human
Powers:
Lilith bears the powers of a figure upholding justice; as such, she gains considerable strength when fighting in favour of law and even possesses partly ethereal, mystical resistance from the moral force she represents. This is mainly demonstrated from her being unaffected by magical powers, able to transcend what others could not as a way of upholding morality and presenting herself as a hero who should be seen as a force to be reckoned with by those who would dare spit in the name of justice, liberty and fate.
Though blinded for a lack of discrimination, Mistress Justice senses evilness from those who perpetuate it, with a range extending beyond normal human vision, yet unable to identify obstructions between her and the criminal. Thus, she will force herself through anything in the way that isn't a living being, such as buildings and bridges, though her heightened strength in this form allows her to remain unharmed and unhindered when seeking out evil-doers, unless their power overwhelms her. This power is granted from her scales of justice, allowing her to be able to see between the good guys and the bad guys.
One of the spirit's weaknesses, however, is that her binding to justice and fate forces her to even punish her allies if they tip the scales, and will not be willing to save a person's life if their crime's have deemed them to this result. If Lilith ever overpowered her hero's own restrictions as a favour to her friends, she could risk the persona altogether as she could be seen as an insubordinate host.
Abilities:
Lilith has developed her own ability for sword-faire, outside of her heroic persona, as a result of her taking fencing as an extra-curricular activity. However, it is often unlikely that her skill for this is demonstrated, due to the sword of justice only materalising when adorning the blindfold of justice, meaning that she relies upon her rapier as an extension of this trait.
In addition, the young girl is also a cheerleader for her local high school's football team, which permits her disciplined gymnastic skills in addition to being a boost to moral when she has to sit on the sidelines. Although, she can admittedly be quite annoying after a while.
Equipment:
Lilith's primary piece of equipment for crime fighting is her blindfold of justice, enchanted by the spirit herself to allow Lilith to become a tangible form of Lady Justice, blessing her with the sword and scales of justice, yet only whilst in this form. It is indestructible by most forms of might and will not grant powers to anybody that wears it, yet its powers can be withheld from Lilith and it can be taken away altogether if she goes against liberty's will.
As well as this, she also has her sabre for her fencing practice, which is easily made a dangerous weapon in her hands, allowing her to strike at enemies in swift, valiant movements.
Personality:
Without her heroic persona, Lilith is a bright and cheery girl who loves being a beacon to those around her, a guiding light for the weary and caring for those in need, yet deep down she has a vicious side for those who would seek to take advantage of her because of her hospitable nature. In addition to this, the young woman is vigilant and brave and will not back down from the face of evil, even when she is without her heroic form.
Whilst Mistress Justice, the heroine is stoic and lacking in character, unless innocents are in danger, in which case she becomes angelic and benevolent as a way to portray hope in a time of need. To criminals, she is ruthless and judging, granting retribution equating to what is deserved and balance where chaos distorts the world.
Brief Backstory:
Lilith was a generally well-liked girl; a model student with a plethora of extracurricular activities that made her popular not just with other pupils, but with teachers too, often envied by those who could not find their footing in school. Her life was considerably normal for the majority of it, with her disregarding most of the global threats in hopes of the heroes of the world saving the day, yet even the most ordinary of lives can be twisted and malformed within a single action.
One day, whilst wandering the city at night after fencing practice, the young girl was accosted by two large brutes who viciously asked for all of her belongings. Being brave, or quite frankly idiotic, Lilith refused them and drew her sword, prompting one of them to draw their gun, unseen to her, and fire a bullet directly at her head. Whilst this deathly sound would have claimed a life that night, Lady Justice paused time for that singular moment for everyone besides Lilith, presenting the girl with the blindfold that drew upon her power, before disintegrating the bullet and smiting the two criminals, leaving them incapacitated. The reasoning for Lilith being a viable host is how peaceful and non-hostile she is, extinguishing the smallest amounts of darkness with her beaming mind and homely personality.
Now with her own power to uphold the law, the heroine found herself more suitably applicable within a team of other young people who seek to keep balance in the world and care for the meek, so she sought out the Sentinels and is willing to lend her abilities in favour of peace and justice.
