"You haven't heard?" He asked. "Jaque the Ripper. Charming name. Appropriate, because, allegedly, this individual...Well, rips. People's organs." He made a tearing motion with his hands. "Out of them." They were near the house. The scent of blood was in the air. "So they're asking me to investigate. I'm supposed to have a partner, but he's probably off at some travern." He shrugged. The house was cordoned off, and there was a sense of dread that hung heavy in the air in stark contrast to the festival.

"To be fair, I wish I could do the same, but that's my job." He shrugged. "Thanks for the help, by the way. Duty calls." He said, before heading over to the captain. "Sorry I'm late. Got a bit lost." He said. "Rin Utoh. Sheikah Ninja." He reached into his kimono, taking out the envelope which held the letter he'd recieved. "I've been called here to investigate the murder. May I see the corpse?" He looked over the house, curious how big it was. "Do we know how they got in? Any signs of forced entry?" He was different from how he had been talking to Luna. His airy, lighthearted demeanor was gone. His tone was of a professional, and his eyes had grown focused. They were the eyes of a hunter.

Nikou - Hyrule Castle City, Inner Wall District
Nikou straightened his back as the guard captain eyed him for some sign of validity in his statement. The garb was apparently enough proof of his statement, despite the white lie, seeing as the captain merely nodded and started divulging the information. It seemed Nikou's suspicions were pretty much correct-- the Templars were too busy with quelling cultists and serial killers to deal with other crimes. Nikou couldn't help but grin, though, amused by the fact that they were so short on guards that they would just let some Zora guard come in and deal with it.

Either way, the captain took out some papers and read some of the details to him. As he listened, though, he couldn't help but feel a little disappointed. It was a lot less information than he was hoping for, but if they had a who, where, and when, then they probably wouldn't need "international cooperation" to pursue the investigation. The names were... also disappointing, though. 'Sewer Steve'? 'Gaunt Grant'? He was plenty familiar with all kinds of criminal pseudonyms, but they never failed to be as stupid as ever. Couldn't they ever be something cool...? Regardless, after a short debriefing, the captain signaled for someone to bring out the actual dossiers they had, and Nikou eagerly looked through them.

The first one, Gaunt Grant, was pretty much an enigma due to the lack of any specifics about where the guy could even be. The second one, Sewer Steve, was directly referenced in the interrogation of one of the crime ring workers, though similarly, there was little information to work with. So basically all he had were some nicknames and some wanted-poster info. His first worry was if he would even be able to do this in the short several days he was posted in Hyrule City, especially in tandem with his actual job. This was quickly invalidated by the fact that he could pass anything he found out to the actual guards, so pretty much getting any progress at all was his ultimate goal.

Nikou sighed. While he couldn't take the documents with him, there wasn't much to forget. Before he left to go snoop around the city, however, Nikou looked at some of the information scattered around the guard center. It was mostly standard stuff, like citizen complains and schedules for patrol, but it didn't hurt to look. Though, maybe it'd be a good idea to search around the areas where the guards patrolled the least? The more hidden the place is from the government's eye, the more appealing it would be to a criminal after all... Was this "Sewer Steve" really operating out of the sewer? People hardly ever went down there...

Nikou realized he'd been holding his breath and exhaled harshly. It really wasn't much to go on, and Nikou didn't even know how to even investigate a sewer system. The first step would probably be just to figure out where it even was, though, so he thanked the other guards for their cooperation and walked out of the station. He doubted they would be much help with this for now. It'd probably be best to find someone who looks like they know the backstreets of the Castle City, but that'd be easier said than done due to the sheer magnitude of people who've came to Castle City from all over the kingdom for the festivities.

The first place Nikou thought to look was one of the many market streets filled to the brim with people selling and tourists buying. Though, as he walked with the crowd and looked around, it quickly became apparent it'd be hard to really get anyone to talk; everyone just wanted to enjoy the day, and all the shops didn't want him holding up their business. In fact, he'd even got threatened by some feisty Goron seller who was trying to pawn off sketchy 'fireworks' to the crowd. Nikou's first stop on his investigation was about to get marked up as a failure until one more interesting thing caught his eye.

A Rito street magician was performing for a small crowd, capitalizing on the especially festive tourist crowd. Nikou stopped and watched for a minute, observing the simplistic yet appealing snowflake patterns he was making. It was pretty, sure, but he couldn't help but wonder if that was anything close to any of the mage's true powers. Curious, he waited for a lull in the action and a gap in the crowd to approach.

"Could you put your show aside for a minute? I'm currently on an investigation-- official guard business-- and I need to ask you a couple of questions." Nikou said, though it felt a little awkward to have to look so far down to talk. He was at least a couple feet taller than the grey Rito. Regardless, Nikou showed the street magician the poster he had taken from the notice board. "Do you know either of these men? Or, would you happen to know how to get access to the sewer system of the city?"

Rumi
Outskirts of Ordon Village

"... A hollowed gaze, of eyes cold to life...~ I felt the eyes fall apon me, yet within they felt no more...~" A serene voice sounded from within the depths of the forest, approaching closer to the village by the river. The blue figure adorned in a gown of dark violet shade, to whom the voice belonged to, ceased in her path towards the settlement when a pair of distressed voices seemed to seek help. Rumi, the female Zora singer, was typically not the type to be generous to strangers (with the exception of children) unless there were any merit to be earned in doing so. As she was deciding to pretend the plea for help was not heard from her current location, a phrase paused her train of thought, 'spineless knight'.

'A knight? Perhaps a Hylian knight?', the songstress thought to herself with a scheming smile upon her lips. If the assumption that the knight seeking help was of Hyrule origin, it would be convenient for Rumi who had been traveling towards Hyrule to earn a debt to be owed to. The least she could get out of helping the knight would be an escort into the city, a must for a frail diva such as her. After the change of mind, the songstress at least decided to see what sort of situation they were in and followed after the screaming.

Upon arriving at the source of the voices from a safe distance, Rumi sighed at the shameful scene before her. A knight garbed in green with a little Korok were stuck atop a branch, literally hanging for their lives from the vicious canines just below them. It was almost painful to see how cowardly the knight seemed to be, the thought of just leaving the unreliable knight had crossed her mind but out of pity, and he could maaaybe still offer something worth, the Zora Siren stepped forward out into the open. The wolves sensed another presence among them and turned their heads towards the Zora as their expression remained hostile. Despite facing the hostility and sharp fangs head on, Rumi kept a confident expression.

The Zora's lips parted, "I call on you now, devoute thyself for my need ...~" As if by trance, the once enraged wolves withdrew their fangs and claws, bowing obediently towards the songstress. A soft chuckle escaped her lips before she spoke to the two above on the tree, "Do not be afraid, they're under my command. If you two so wish to, I will order them to leave."

Confliti was more than a little upset about not being able to participate by himself. But his pouty mood was quickly turned into excitement at the sight of delicious food. After telling Gorn he'd be right back, he glided on over to the deku's plate. Gorn shook his head. It was not courteous to take another's food without asking first. But he supposed that Confliti would only take a morsel or two. His size didn't allow him to eat it all.

Suddenly two shrubs appeared next to Gorn. He did a double take and pondered their significance. How or why did they appear next to him off all people? For a few moments he was lost in thought. Meanwhile Confliti had begun throwing the food at the Deli Scrub. That's when it finally hit Gorn,"Wait a second.. that scrub used his magic to mess with me!"

It was unclear what went through his head for a few seconds. Suddenly Gorn burst into a hearty laugh. He leaned forward with his hands on his knees for support so he wouldn't fall over. After wiping the joyful tears from his eyes he spoke,"That was quite the trick, friend," he smiled genuinely,"How do you manage such a thing?"

Dan

Hyrule Castle- Inner City District

Dan was trying to hold his laugh back, watching chaos was among his favorite things to do. That moment of joy was short lived as suddenly, the plate of food that was being balanced on his head suddenly was launching itself at him. In a panic, Dan did what was a perfectly natural response to danger. He burrowed underground, swiftly leaving the mysterious threat and disappearing, the priority was now figuring out who did that. The plate fell onto the ground , spilling all over the floor and the plate was rolling away. Potentially Confliti was taken with Dan as well to the depths below. It must have been magic, but who was trying to attack him? He was contemplating this from the seconds he bought himself. After a few more seconds, he peeked back up to check. Aside from the confused stares of people around him, no one appeared to be fighting. Dan was confused as well, where was this attacker?

The Goron he was playing a prank on was laughing instead of any other emotion he expected. He was hunched over crying tears of laughter, clearly Gorons were as dim as he thought. Dan caught the back half of what he was saying, having missed part of it while underground. "That was quite the trick, friend. How do you manage such a thing?" It was talking to him, without violence. Dan stared at this thing, it was a trick. Seeing as the food stopped flying at his face, he decided to answer this guy. He jumped back out of the ground, to try and stand even half the height of the Goron. His voice was dripping with paranoia and suspicion towards Gorn. "I used forest magic. Why are you laughing? Are you making fun of me?" He was ready to fight or flee, based on what was the next answer.

Armostos

Hyrule Castle City

(En-route to the tournament)

@Sho Minazuki

Entering stage A, with a sword that was polished to rival a mirror, and his helmet still leaning on his head rather than cover it, was Armostos. His opponent seemed to not be on stage yet, so he took a moment to wave to the crowd. As his opponent appeared onstage, with a puff of smoke, Armostos grinned, tipped his helmet at the statue of Hylia and pulled his helmet over his face again. "You're looking absolutely divine. Please watch over me today, too, lady goddess."

As soon as the starting signal was given, Armostos started approaching his opponent at a pace you'd expect from a man so heavily armored. Meanwhile, his opponent just stood there, hands clasped together forming some odd symbol. Armostos reached his opponent before too long and struck with his Zweihander from the left. The zweihander seemed to cut straight through the opponent, until the opponent simply disappeared, slightly baffled, Armostos turned as he heard the clinking of darts against his armored back. "Tch. You're one a'dem crafty types, aren't you? One of those, whaddya-ma-callems? Sheikah ninjas?"

The ninja remained silent, however, not making a sound as he started running circles around Armostos, making different hand-symbols as he ran. "Not very polite to just ignore a man. I'll just need to teach you a lesson, then." With a smirk hidden behind his helmet, Armostos swung the blunt side of the Zweihander towards the ninja, the latter of which having no choice but to duck under it as the Zweihander was too long to be sidestepped. Armostos thought to immediately follow up with a finishing blow, but his overhead attack failed as the ninja once more disappeared and threw more darts at Armostos.

The darts once more clattered against Armostos' back and the ninja began to distance himself. Armostos was growing tired of this game and he once more slowly charged the ninja. He swung for another overhead attack, let go of the zweihander near the end of the swing and turned. The ninja tried to jump backwards after throwing his darts, realizing this was a fakeout, but was too late. Armostos managed to grab the ninja by the collar, lifted him up, smacked him into the ground and then body slammed the ninja without letting go. As a result of this, a large puff of dust rose from the ground, briefly obscuring the pair.

As the dust settled around the stage, Armostos was already waving at the crowd, the broken ninja behind him in the dirt. The ninja seemed in pain, but was at the very least alive. Waiting for the announcer to declare his victory, Armostos nodded, said his thanks to the goddess Hylia and exited the stage. Once outside Armostos swiftly moved over to a bench, sat down, removed his helmet and started taking inventory of his equipment. As he thought, his sword was no longer gleaming like it should. Grabbing a set of brushes from a little bag, he started polishing his Zweihander feverishly. All in all he was an odd sight to behold, a heavily armored Goron polishing a giant blade with incredible fervor and a back littered with darts.

Tinnun Chordata
Hyrule Castle City, Inner Wall District

Tinnun weaved her way through the crowd, trying to find whoever to speak to about cooking for the tournament. This wasn't an easy task. The crowd was more dense than gold, and she had to make sure she didn't accidentally drop her food. Eventually, the Rito gave up, and she found a table nearby to put down the steaks, crepe, souffle, and baked potatoes. Her wings were getting tired carrying the food, anyways.

Tinnun looked at the fighting going on, and she was worried for both participants. It was a battle between a Sheikah ninja and a heavily armored Goron, and she couldn't bear to watch. Particularly since she cringed slightly at the darts even though the Goron seemed to be unaffected by it. By the time she was no longer shielding her eyes with her wings, it seemed the Goron won, though the ninja seemed hurt.

Jaque the Ripper? First time Luna has even heard that name, but from the sound of it he was a really dangerous character. "Thanks for the help, by the way. Duty calls." Rin headed off to speak with the captain about this murder, listening in on the conversation, Rin was a much more serious character than Luna first thought. Here she was escorting a lost and confused Sheikah and now the man was acting like a serious and cunning detective, quite the act.

This Jaque person though, what could come out of murdering innocent civilians? A personal vendetta? A grudge? Or just an overall thirst for violence and blood? She wasn't a detective so Luna wasn't the one to know, but this case has certainly peaked her interest. Once Rin had slipped into the house, Luna would sneak past the guard and enter the house herself. What good is there in traveling if you don't have some fun every so often?

Kibbe, Wandering Mage

Kibbe had made a good amount of money from his performances that day, but it seemed as if a few people wanted an encore before he stopped for the day. He was happy to oblige but a city guard stepping through the crowd had other plans.

"Could you put your show aside for a minute? I'm currently on an investigation-- official guard business-- and I need to ask you a couple of questions."

"Not a problem at all good sir! I was actually planning on wrapping up in a bit so I'm happy to help!" He leaned into towards the guard and whispered with a hint of mischief in his voice. "I needed an excuse to get away from the crowd anyways, they just want more and more nowadays. I was supposed to stop an hour ago."

"Do you know either of these men? Or, would you happen to know how to get access to the sewer system of the city?"

Kibbe squinted at the posters, appearing to think deeply as to who they may be. "I'm afraid I don't know who they are good sir. I could however show you where the sewer system is. Just follow me!" Kibbe headed towards the sewer system, showing Nikou the way (with a minor stop because Kibbe had been hungry).

Along the way the friendly bird had prattle on and on about how wonderful this town was and how the festival had brought a lot of well paying tourists around. He also offhandedly mentioned his name after realising he had never introduced himself as they made their way through the city. After a while they reached the entrance to the sewer system.

"And here we are! I suppose that counts as my good deed of the day!" Kibbe chuckled as he mentioned that last part. "It was good to meet you Mr..." He trailed off as he never caught the guard's name.

Krysanthia had taken wing shortly after speaking with her master, she needed time to ponder what he had said. Whatever she decided to do next would change her life forever. She was loath to simply do nothing and wait but at the same time the idea of venturing out into the oft dangerous lands beyond the city alone and with no clear plan was terrifying. Muggers you could maybe talk down or fly away from but there was far worse than that beyond the city. Anaria had taught her much about defending herself in a life or death situation but Krysanthia had never drawn blood before, never faced a foe she may have to kill in order to save her own life, and she hoped she would never have to. On the other hand how safe was the city, really? She had heard the talk among the other citizens about the recent and horrific murders, among the usual crime the poor guards had enough difficulty dealing with. Anaria had made it clear she felt something was amiss in Hyrule, and the Gerudo swordswoman's instincts were rarely wrong. Krysanthia wished her friend were still here, she could really use her advice right now, nevermind the overwhelming sense of loneliness she felt at the moment.

krysanthia had apparently been lost in thought for some time, flying aimlessly through the city. A nearby tournament and the cheering of crowds snapped her out of her thoughts and she realized she badly needed to rest, such was the toll that came with the advantage of flight. But the crowd was so thick here she could not see a patch of ground suitable enough, and it was terribly rude to land on someone's roof without permission. Flying in lower she tried to politely ask for space to land but to no avail, the noise was too much for her to be heard. A sudden flourish of movement in the tournament grounds itself had her distracted then and she looked to see a mighty looking armored Goron over a crumpled opponent, alive but clearly hurt. It was baffling how the annual tournament was considered a festival, it was bad enough when someone made a mistake and got hurt at the military training yards, but these battles sometimes ended with a fighter permanently maimed, or far worse.

The moment of distraction cost her as her wing tip smacked into one of the spectators heads resulting in some colorful curses. All at once Krysanthia realized she had lost far too much speed and height and panicked. A nearby table offered her only hope at not crashing into anyone but she failed to make it work and slipped right off the edge as gravity fully took hold and she tumbled into several people. Pain flared up her leg as she hit the edge of the table on her way down and many people cried out in surprise and anger. Krysanthia scrambled to her knees apologizing fervently to everyone, thoroughly ashamed of herself. Resting an arm on the same table she had hit she assessed the damage while continuing her apologies. Nothing was broken, thankfully, but there was going to be a terrible bruise.

Then she realized she was staring at a table full of food, the smell of which all at once reminded her of the energy she had wasted on her aimlessness. Unfortunately she had also scattered and smeared some of it as she crashed, and on top of it all her clothes were now ruined and she doubted things could get worse than this. That was when she spotted what had to be the cook from the expression on her face and the puffiness of the other startled Rito. The cook looked like a pleasant enough individual at first glance, mostly just startled at the moment, but Krysanthia had just ruined some of her stock and the visiting merchant was surely not going to be pleased to hear Krysanthia could not pay for the damage. "I am so sorry! I- I- " She stammered and snapped her beak shut when her words transformed into senseless squeaking.

Well, Tinnun hoped that they'll both be alright. She turned her brown gaze back from the crowd, not initially hearing the cries of outrage, when something collided with the table she was sitting at, with the dishes as the unfortunate bystanders. She fell backwards in her chair, somewhat surprised, and stood up to see that another Rito, a white colored one, was the cause of the collision.

"I am so sorry! I- I- " ( @FlitterFaux )

The pink Rito woman chuckled. "Hey, don't worry about it! Accidents happen to everyone."
Tinnun looked at the mess of food. "A lot of ingredients are fairly inexpensive to get anyways. The most expensive thing was the meat, and they're only ten or fifteen rupees. I can easily buy some more."

Nikou - Hyrule Castle City, Inner Wall District
As the Rito magician agreed to help him, Nikou looked back at the crowd behind him. They seemed to be urging the Rito for an encore, some whispering how they wished the zora would get out of the way. How long had they been there...? Nikou shook his head; it didn't matter what they thought, seeing as what he was doing was much more important than some street entertainment. After a bit of thought, though, the Rito soon admitted that he had no idea who the people Nikou was after were-- which was expected, seeing as any accomplice of wanted criminals would never freely say that they had connections to them. Fortunately, though, the Rito seemed to know how to get access to the sewer system, and even offered to lead him to the entrance. Nikou couldn't help but raise his brow in surprise. "Really...? I appreciate it, then."

After packing up whatever he had been using, the Rito started to lead Nikou down through the busy Castle City streets, taking a maze of turns and alleys, even a pit-stop at some food stand (Nikou got a fish skewer because, well, why not?), to get to their destination. The entire way, though, the Rito insisted on rambling about how great the festival was for everyone and what not. It got obnoxious pretty quickly, seeing as he had just spent the entire morning listening to the same stuff from Kota. Before long, Nikou was doubting that they were even going anywhere... It seemed like they past the same shooting game stand for the fifth time. Fortunately, it wasn't some weird prank, and the Rito turned to face Nikou with a smile as they stood in front of a gated sewer entrance in the middle of some obscure alley, conveniently out of the way of any high-traffic area... It seemed sketchy, to say the least. Though, the question of why the Rito magician knew how to get to this specific entrance to the sewer system popped into Nikou's head. Was he a citizen of the Castle City, or did he just happen to know...?

Either way, they had gotten there without any problems and the Rito seemed to be more or less genuinely altruistic about the whole thing. Though his usual stern expression didn't falter, Nikou gave the Rito an appreciative nod. "It's Nikou. He said, taking a moment to observe the appearance of the Rito. It was the first time he'd seen one of their kind in quite a while... "'Kibbe', right? Uh, thanks for the help." He took a step away from the Rito, prepared to part ways, but another thought occurred to him: it would be incredibly helpful to have some kind of back-up, in case things went to shit somehow. His first thought was to go fish Kota out from the crowd somewhere, but that would take far too long and Nikou really doubted they could get back to the entrance in the same night... Before Kibbe could leave, Nikou turned back around and called out to him. "Hey, do you got to be someplace right now? Some back-up would be nice, if you can do more than throw snowflakes at children."

Krysanthia was surprised, albeit pleasantly so, when the other Rito took the fiasco so well. She had a nice laugh and easy smile that reminded her of Anaria and helped ease her worries somewhat. However, she could not help but outwardly cringe to hear the cost of the food, even though the other was so ready to forgive her. Krysanthia estimated those were low prices indeed especially for festival food of such quality, not too mention the chef's work reminded her of Akaala and better days. But now Krysanthia was wearing maybe a few plates worth of the fine cuisine and in her head she owed a debt now. She also was trying hard not to selfishly dwell on how she had already ruined the fine clothes that had cost her nearly every rupee she had, or to burst into tears like a child.

"Please, you must at least let me compensate you. I have-" Krysanthia's bright red crest shot up in alarm and then drooped down again as she reached for her things only to realize her pack wasn't with her. "I have forgotten my rupees in my room." she finished awkwardly, trying to think of a way to salvage the situation, even though the chef seemed to feel there was no need. "Um, perhaps a written IOU? Or I can take you to where I'm staying to fetch my purse. My name is Krysanthia Runai, I'm a medic in training at the military barracks, my master can vouch for me."

Krysanthia noticed what looked like another healer weaving through the crowd towards the tournament ground she could no longer see, having forgotten she was still on her knees in the dirt. Had something else just happened? Or was the wounded man she saw earlier worse off than he had first looked? Krysanthia fought the overwhelming instinct to run to the fighters aid. There were already registered healers around for this very thing. Besides, she first had to deal with the problem she had caused. "What is your name, ma'am, er, miss? Sorry..." Krysanthia herself was probably more of a ma'am than this talented young chef, but not knowing who she was she faltered with the honorifics.

"Stalker, much?" Rin's voice said as Luna entered the house. He was leaning against the wall, as if he'd expected her to enter. He was grinning, and he didn't seem angry.

"Hm. You know, they say that they always return to the scene of the crime. And you seemed pretty familiar with where this house was." He was stroking his chin now. "There can only be one explanation."

"You must be Jaque the Ripper! You're under arrest!" He exclaimed, pointing at her. But then his face broke back into a grin.

"On the other hand, you don't really look like a Jaque, and you're nowhere near stealthy enough. You're free to go."

Luna almost jumped when Rin spoke to her as soon as she got in the house, it was like he was waiting for her, like he knew she was going to head into the house. "Hm. You know, they say that they always return to the scene of the crime. And you seemed pretty familiar with where this house was. There can only be one explanation."

"You must be Jaque the Ripper! You're under arrest!"
What!?! Did this guy really think that Luna was the murderer, that's just down right ridiculous. "Now hang on a second!"

"On the other hand, you don't really look like a Jaque, and you're nowhere near stealthy enough. You're free to go." Luna's heart felt like it skipped a beat, the moron was joking with her. "Not funny... Not funny at all." She said with a grim expression, she had been traveling for a long time now but she had never been accused of murder. That was the second scariest moment of her life.

"Yup. And I gotta say, you have the filthiest mind I've seen." He said, a half smile on his face and a glint in his crimson eyes. She wasn't too far off the mark: After turning his back on her, he'd closed his eyes for a few seconds. He could feel the earth surrounding him, and every step she took has resonated in his mind. He'd pegged her as the curious type(Maybe nosy was a better word, but he liked her style, so he was gonna call her curious,) and she had done pretty much what he expected her to.

"You sure have morbid tastes. Do you want to see a body that much?" He asked, as he looked through the house. What he was most curious about was how the culprit had gotten in. He was also looking for any sign of a struggle or anything being stolen.

"I beg your pardon!?" Filthy!? Who does this guy think he is? Filthy!? Luna was just gritting her teeth, she wasn't a killer but there was going to be blood on the walls if Rin was gonna keep up with this.

"You sure have morbid tastes. Do you want to see a body that much?" Was it wrong to be curious, to seek answers? Really, the fact on how this murder even occured was food for thought. "Well... I'm not one for murder mysteries... But I am curious as to how and why someone would go about murdering... I'm curious that's all... Being stuck in domain of bickering nobles for most of your life isn't exactly a good life experience..."

The other Rito seemed to be insistent on paying Tinnun for rupees lost. All it takes for Tinnun to make up for rupees lost is to cook some more food and price them slightly higher than usual, like about two rupees higher. It's not the end of the world.

"Um, perhaps a written IOU? Or I can take you to where I'm staying to fetch my purse. My name is Krysanthia Runai, I'm a medic in training at the military barracks, my master can vouch for me." ( @FlitterFaux )

"Well, if it makes you feel better, you can pay back whenever you can. Though I don't necessarily require it, I can live with a few rupees lost, and I'm no particular hurry if you do want to make up for it. I'm Tinnun Chordata by the way. I'm a traveling chef." Tinnun held out her right wing.

Inner Wall District, Cordoned House

As the bickering continued, unbeknownst to them the Knight Captain of the Leaf himself went downstairs to see what the commotion was about. As he emerged he saw one familiar face, and another, a Zora. The guards at the door were quite perplexed as to what to do but so far seem to have decided to refuse entry. The dashingly cut blonde haired blue eyed knight struck a clean visage in this dark corner of the residential area.

"Rin, and someone I did not ask for, you don't look suited up like a knight... Begone, this is no place for a civilian. You Rin, come inside and I'll brief you. Seems your partner hasn't shown up yet, but I'm running on a clock, so you'll have to brief him yourself", he stated. He was quite to the business it seemed, regardless of what retorts Rin attempted, he was simply given a strong glare before following Linwood in.

"I also heard some of the things said. Guards keep an eye on the young lady until our business here is concluded", there should also be some Fountain members coming by later to retrieve the body for further inspection too. That aside, while walking up the stairs, Rin was briefed on the case, although also greeted to a sickening stench, but it didn't smell like a rotting corpse.

"You and your partner had gotten a dossier on the entire case so I hope I don't have to explain anything other than this new murder here", it was as grisly as the reports for the previous incidents. The reports were rather visceral and came with pictures, but seeing it all in the flesh was another thing. The reports would also share that the patterns and methods matched some dark magic rituals. The Lantern Knights had actually upped their measures ever since this was found, but all they've found was that these murders were related to the Cult of Ganon that had begun their activity a year ago. Sheikah Ninja networks, which Rin was keenly aware of, had picked up Yiga activity surrounding these too.

"Same as always, we checked the listings for this house, seems someone had bought this house a few weeks ago but it was never filled with anything other than essentials, so this place had been used as a hideout for awhile. No strange construction, so there's no lead here, however a lot of things here are still fresh. I've already investigated for some leads you and your partner can follow, as I've been following this case too, but today I'm afraid I cannot follow up on them, so I'm branching out the investigations to you and Vesper", he explained.

"I'll quickly go through the leads. First there were some rags found on the first floor, still a little damp, meaning they were used not too long ago, they stunk up the whole room as you may have noticed on the way up, so they were likely worn by someone who swam through the sewer system. We found a bunch of tools too, and I managed to narrow it down to a very specific blacksmith who lives in a cottage in Ordon. The tools also look used, and are mainly used for dissection, the Fountain Knights confirmed this with me. No food was found, no other utensils, nothing, the only thing is the bed over there which the landlord tells me is complimentary. Nothing was strange about the bed other than it had signs of usage", and that should be it.

"If there are any further questions you can ask the Fountain Knights for help, I've already notified them someone new is taking on the case as of today so they should be rather cooperative. You'll also have to tell Vesper all of this once you see him. Knowing him he's probably nervously taking another swig down in the tavern. He's wanted in on this case for awhile, so it does surprise he isn't here now, or maybe he has his own lead, who knows. I've always trained Leaf Knights to be proactive, so with luck perhaps he has. Anyways, I must be going. Good luck on your investigation", with that done and over with, he headed back out. Now it was up to Rin, what to do? Also, that Zora outside seemed to be interested somehow... There was nothing said against getting additional help, although it was an official matter, so it could cause some problems in certain circumstances. In any case, with Vesper not here, it was pretty much up to Rin for the time being.

Krysanthia was glad Tinnun had agreed to let her pay for the ruined food, for some reason the thought of being forgiven the debt made her uncomfortable. Likely that was her uncles' influence. Though the man had been unpleasant enough to simply leave when she was old enough one of his few virtues was that he always honored a debt though he loathed owing anyone anything. She felt this was a good value to hold herself to now that she thought about it.

As Tinnun approached her, offering a wing in greeting, Krysanthia realized at last she was still kneeling in dirt. She pulled herself up to stand to nearly her full height having to favor her leg and lean down slightly to take Tinnun's wing in both of of hers. To say Krysanthia was tall for a Rito woman would be understating the facts; she was tall compared to most men. Yet somehow she did not come across as intimitating despite her borderline ridiculous height. To a perceptive person it would be easy to see how she held herself and how, even though she had to look down at most people, her gaze was just off from direct eye contact, all very insecure and submissive tells.

"It's very nice to meet you, master chef Chordata. I just wish the event could have been.. gentler." She said shaking Tinnun's wing gently but with a firm grip before letting go and putting her wings behind her back. She also took a step back not wanting the other Rito to feel crowded, considering the actual crowd was already quite thick here. "If I knew where you were staying I could bring you the rupees later when things will be calmer. Just as well we don't go there now, I suppose, I'm a little to hun- I mean tired! Too tired to fly back immediately," she stumbled over her words almost letting slip how she had flown too much and eaten too little today. As kind and forgiving as Tinnun was Krysanthia could not imagine asking for anything to eat would look very good until she had her rupees in hand. So she tried to ignore the protests of her stomach and the tantalizing smell of the chefs wares. "Besides, maybe I should stay here for now, in case something happens and the healers need an extra hand." she continued, changing the subject. She could see over the heads of the spectators to where the armored Goron victor stood triumphantly, knives still protruding between the plates of his armor. He looked as if he did not even feel them, and considering Goron physiology, maybe he didn't. She could not see his former opponent or the medic but the crowd did not seem disturbed so she hoped that meant the other man was going to be fine.
