Game Brief:

• Batman first began to appear 15 years ago.
• The Joker recently died in the chaos of one of his own schemes.
• Jim Gordon effectively retires as Commissioner of the GCPD following Joker's death.
• Batman hasn't been seen for nearly a month.
• Will take place in Gotham City.
• Street level characters only.

This game will focus on the Bat-family, and other faces of Gotham City, not Batman. It's a sandbox style with large events for everyone to tackle thrown in. For players wanting to have fun reading and reacting, you're more than welcome to get your character and settle in. For those players who are interested in story and plot development, you're more than welcome to participate. Just send me a PM, and I'll let you see what I got; any suggestions or tweaks or twists I like I'll be more than happy to incorporate into the game and give due credit for.

Batman may or may not be dead; but for certain he won't be around during the beginning stages of the game. Well, not Bruce-Batman, I suppose if someone wanted to play a Dick-Batman then there would be a Batman. But not the Batman. This is done to give the rest of the Bat family some room to breath, and grow, in a more natural and organic way. Otherwise Gotham City is your oyster; play a Mafioso looking to bring Mafia strength back to the city, play a young Detective in GCPD looking to take up Jim Gordon's legacy, or just create your own vigilante inspired by the Bat.

I happen to have a Bette Kane interpretation I’ve been sleeping on, as well as one for Azrael. But those are the only ideas that have come to my mind currently. Some original concepts might be sitting in my head as well, but that is a maybe. Fitting it into my schedule is what I’m worried about most of all. But interested conceptually and what not.

This seems like just the shot in the arm to get me out of my current writing lull. I think I might have an interesting idea for someone low-tier.

I would totally be into playing this as maybe some kind of thief character, someone low-tier in comparison to the larger scheme.

Yes, I am aware of the character's super powered state. If I can imagine a version of the Creeper without superpowers, I imagine someone else can, too.

Feeling a slight pull towards Eraser honestly. Got the sort of "quiet fixer" angle going for him.

We Creeper fans try not to talk about that whole dark period, and technically the character has been super-powered since his inception in '68. That said, if I did go The Creeper route, I'd happily bow to the GM's remit if there's to be a blanket ban on powers. Would be an interesting change of pace.

Not a total ban on powers. Take The Hitman, for example. That's a great example of a power I'd be willing to allow; it's even relatively balanced.
