I slept. Then played Ff14.

Anyway. Both systems have their merits. Under the current ruleset, however, I cannot accept @Kratesis character, on several grounds.

Primarily, it not falling in line with the element scheme(unless it changed since I last looked at it), and have an unbreakable weapon that can cut through most anything.

As far as preset abilities and the like, I offer this compromise. And yes, new folks, negotiations tend to be part of the Arena.

How about, if @Darth is agreeable we keep the current system of players creating their own characters. Because it is part of the learning process, and we take Darth's idea of pre-made skills, and apply it to them. He can help structure a wide array of abilities to be simple, yet bring something unique to the table so everyone isn't doing all the same things with different elements.

I'll put something together whether or not it gets used. I was intending to do so for other projects anyways; this will be a good warm-up and a teachable moment to show people how to construct characters while examining some of the concepts that go into said construction. I actually just wrote an essay/discussion on how we define character powers and give them shape last night. Been putting together a little catalog of the ideas I've been bandying around for the past five years. Figure someone might get some use out of it.

Having unexpected computer issues, literally the worst timing. Stuck on my phone for now while I try to figure it out. There's no rush on characters right? I have my idea in mind, just need to write it out...

Edit: I think I fixed the problem. Made some progress on my character, I'll finish her tomorrow though. Well, the first draft anyway, I'm assuming I'll need a mentor of some sort like the others :)

I'd like to apply as a judge for this tournament. I actually have a ton of experience in presiding over battles, having ran an in-game fightwriting academy for about three years on W42.

Well, your character did have a Katana that could probably chop through the Earth's crust. Someone once told me it's a bad idea to bring a knife to a sword fight.

We did also both have guns. And we used them rather extensively.

I did a thing. I don't know if weight is at all proportional to height or I messed up anything else. I assume the experience level section was for us so I put low. Feel like I may not have adequately enough described magic but wasn't sure how specific I needed to be. Gear is made of average stuff available in medieval times, so like iron and whatnot. (I assume). So there it is, feel free to give feedback.
