Missing one central piece to that.

- Genius Level Intellect

- Charisma

Tim, as the Robin that came after Jason Todd, received an extensive training regiment at the hands of multiple teachers to ensure that what destroyed his predecessor would not affect him. Bruce wanted to make sure that his protégé would be able to hold himself up in combat and successfully defend himself, leading to him traveling to Paris to train under Rahul Lama, a martial arts master. From here, he would eventually move on to Lady Shiva, whom he managed to beat in a sparring battle with the bo staff, which became his signature weapon. Under his trainers, Tim has accumulated a proficient skill in hand to hand combat and melee weapons, using the accumulated knowledge in a non-lethal way to assist himself as Robin. On top of his developed skill, Tim has earned (through vigorous workout sessions) some muscle definition, and while he doesn't match up to super strength, he is certainly able to defend himself. Additionally, he can withstand extended periods of physical activity due to his agility.
Not everything needed to be ingrained into him, however; Tim is nothing less than a natural genius. He is an exceptional detective, having deduced the identities of both Bruce and Dick when he was just a young boy after watching Dick as Robin perform a move he saw him doing in the circus. Batman himself said that Tim has the potential to become a better detective than him.
His high level of intelligence makes Tim a natural student and self-taught practitioner of many disciplines. He has studied computer science and is a highly skilled programmer and hacker. He has an in-depth knowledge of the natural sciences, which he puts to use in the crime lab. He has studied the behavioral sciences, specifically criminology, and is very well-read and literate.
Bio:
Jack Drake was the heir to the newly Fortune 500 company Drake Industries, and a well-respected archeologist and businessman both when he met fellow archeologist and historian Janet Draper, a fiercely beautiful – and fiercely intelligent – woman at an opening at the Archaeological Museum of Iraklion in Crete, Greece. The romance that followed was like something out of a modern day fairy tale, full of exotic locales, intriguing mysteries, royalty both modern and historical, grand parties, opulence, and, after three years of dating, an absolutely gorgeous wedding.
After their honeymoon tour of Europe, the newlyweds returned to Janet's home town, Gotham City and purchased an estate in the outskirts to build their dream home on. Their timing was good - just a few months after their new home’s completion, Jack and Janet had their first and only son: Timothy Jackson Drake.
Tim’s youngest years were spent mostly with a succession of nannies, as his parents had a habit of firing the last every time they returned home from their trips in order to look after him themselves. But, more absorbed in their work, both business and archeological, and each other than they were interested in Tim, Jack and Janet were rarely home for more than a total four or five months over an entire year, stopping home only for weeks or days at a time between trips. Even when they were home, their attention was largely occupied by something they deemed a higher priority. As the quality of the nannies hired tended to vary – Janet sometimes forgot to hire someone until the last minute, and didn’t have time to be choosy – Tim learned fast to look after himself as much as possible. He also learned to savor the time and attention his parents actually afforded him.
It was during one such instance that Jack and Janet brought a six year old Tim to see Haly’s Circus. It was there that the young and impressionable child met Dick Grayson, a member of the prestigious acrobatic group, The Flying Graysons. In hopes of calming his nerves, Tim was even granted a picture before the show. During the performance, however, tragedy struck as he witnessed the death of both Mary and John Grayson at the hands of an assumed system of faulty high wire.
Witnessing tragedy caused Tim to become more stoic in his emotional appearance, leading to a slightly disconnected relationship with his parents. Through this, many childlike traits dispersed into nothingness, and he gained a keen sense of observation.
Said skill would prove to come in handy in upcoming years. Tim was nine when he successfully deducted that Dick Grayson was Robin after witnessing him perform a move that only someone from The Flying Graysons would be able to complete, thus meaning that his adoptive figure, Bruce Wayne, was Batman. It was after this that Tim followed the pair closely, even though the eventual transition from Robin to Nightwing for Dick and Jason Todd’s accumulation of the position.
It was a while after the tragic death of Jason Todd that Tim realized Batman needed a Robin (due to the sudden reckless and aggressive that Batman portrayed, which defying traditional character traits), and concluded after Nightwing refused to take up the position that he would be an adequate fit. Both were not initially on board, however. It was not until after Bruce and Dick had been kidnapped and Tim, with the help of Alfred, rescued the pair that he was taken seriously in his proposition. Bruce eventually accepts under the condition that Tim endures extensive training to ensure that the fate of the previous Robin will not fall upon him as well.
WIP for now...I need to consult the rest of the Bat-fam before posting the complete version.
@Ruby@Inkarnate@Lord Wraith@Dblade26
@Ruby You said old continuity, but not exactly what time so I didn't put any bat-girl stuff. Seeing as @Dblade26 isn't making Damian a robin I'll probably stick with that.
Still a bit of a WIP.Stephanie Brown“I always thought the worst part of this job was the creeps trying to kill you, not me trying to kill myself."
Name: Stephanie Brown
Alias(es): Spoiler/Robin(formerly)
Age:16
Appearance:
Stephanie is pretty, but not in any unique way. She has blond hair, blue eyes and a rather normal face. Her physique only stands out because of her fitness from vigilante work and training, otherwise she stands at a respectably average 5’5. The only really unique feature she has are the scars remaining from Black Face’s torture, most conveniently placed on her back and pretty much always hidden by clothing.
Biography:
For the most part Stephanie Brown was raised by her mother, as her father spend most of her childhood in prison. Her younger years where rather normal for someone who would become a vigilante and while home life was never idyllic, she wasn’t terribly unhappy; until her father left prison for what he vowed would be the last time. Eventually Stephanie would discover he was in fact still working with the organized crime in Gotham under the alias ‘Cluemaster’. The discovery enraged Stephanie enough to steal his plans and create a persona, ‘Spoiler’ who left hints to Cluemaster’s plan around Gotham for Batman to find. The then Robin, discovered her true identity and convinced her to aid himself and Batman more directly.
Home life didn’t improve much for Stephanie, even with her father in prison. When the news that Cluemaster had escaped, Spoiler emerged again, only to stumble upon Robin who was also looking for her father. Just as the two teamed up Stephanie was kidnapped by the Gully Carson Gang; offered as ‘insurance’ by Cluemaster that the gang would get their cut. After being rescued by Batman and Robin and once again sorting out her father, Stephanie decided to become a full-fledged vigilante. She enjoyed the thrill and spending time with Robin, whose identity remained a mystery, even after they began a rather tumultuous relationship.
Stephanie discovered she was pregnant from an ex-boyfriend who had recently skipped town. Spoiler retired for a time, but her relationship with Robin continued throughout the pregnancy and after she gave the baby girl up for adoption. Batman, seeing Spoiler wasn’t going to leave anytime soon, offered Stephanie the opportunity to train with himself, The Birds of Prey, and Batgirl. Thinking Robin was missing, Batman also told her his real name; Tim Drake.
It wasn’t long however until Batman decided Stephanie wasn’t cut out to be a hero, and her training stopped. For a period, Stephanie seriously reconsidered living as a vigilante; until hearing about her father’s death in a suicide squad mission. The news sent Spoiler out on a solo crime-fighting rampage, where she sought out all the criminals her father had ever worker with, not to even hurt them, but to get a better idea as to who her father had been. After her crime-fighting spree, Stephanie decided to continue her ‘night work’, and helped alongside Robin until Tim Drake was forced to hang up his cape. Stephanie, looking to comfort him went to his school to see one of his classmates kissing him. Furious, she ceased all contact with him and spent 3 days locked in her room to make her own Robin uniform. Batman, finding the ill-equipped Stephanie in his bat cave agreed to take her on as the new Robin, so long as she followed his orders to the letter. For close to two months the new ‘girl wonder’ trained harder than ever before, going out with batman with increasing frequency and developing a more comfortable relationship. She preformed quite well as Robin, and thought she was actually close to passing her probation until she tried to save a blinded Batman, after he had directly ordered her to stay put. In her mind, Stephanie had done it to save his life but it was a blunder that led to their target escaping. She was promptly fired by Batman for a second time, told to wipe her files from the batcave computers and go home and not return and either Robin or Spoiler.
This time Stephanie didn’t doubt herself, and instead became furious. In a desperate attempt to prove herself she stole Batman’s plans to rid Gotham’s organized crime completely and enacted them. Unfortunately, she did not account that the plan hinged on one of Batman’s other identities and unintentionally began a city-wide gang war. She was captured by Black Mask as the city raged, and was tortured for information on Batman’s informants. Suffering severe injuries including a gunshot wound she manages to get to Thompkins’s Clinic, and to the knowledge of all who knew her, died there hours later.
In reality, her death was staged; she spent a year in Africa, volunteering alongside Leslie Thompkins. Upon her return to Gotham she re-claimed the identity of Spoiler, and did some work for the penguin, ultimately setting him up for failure. All without notifying any of her former friends/accomplices. The purple outfit didn’t stay secret for long, and after some misguided attempt to aid Robin, she reveals herself to be alive and well. Batman apparently knew the entire time she was still alive, but was alright with her returning to hero work, agreeing that she now understood it wasn’t just a game.
Skills:
- Physical Training: Stephanie’s had training from Birds of Prey and the Batfamily. She’s learn acrobatics as wells a basic physical strength.
- Stealth: Stephanie didn’t start real training until after already spending time as Spoiler. In the beginning her main method of not getting hurt was to just avoid fights, and get out of them as soon as she could.
- Programing/Hacking:Oracle has, somewhat begrudgingly taught Stephanie a good deal about computers. She’s no Tim Drake or Batman, but can make her way through basic security systems.
- Combat Training: More training form Batman/Birds of Prey. Stephanie has proven herself capable of holding her own against some of Gotham’s worst criminals; including beating down black mask after hours of torture.
- Tools/Weapons Training: Another method to avoid/escape tight situations before being trained in proper combat.
Other:
Pretty rocky relationship with most of Batfamily, due to stealing plans, starting a gang war, and lying about her own death. Individual relationships TBD.
@Ruby With Batman being MIA, Tim is possibly the best Detective in Gotham City. How far do you want deducing to when it comes to the Huntress. I am not saying he should figure out her identity on the first post, but I need to know my limitations so I can avoid accidental godmodding.
