I don't mind references, even players not involved with MK1 do references to other stuff, Me with greek myth, Mardox and that fictional universe. So I don't mind MK1 being referenced. Some allusions to it are fine too, like if someone bullied amartia by saying "Your spirit sings the song of one unshakably self-centered, hungry for knowledge, hungry for control, and hungry for legacy." that would be neat.

But if anyone gets close to living my joke about recreating MK1 in a dream to meta bombard people, that is an issue for me. Having knowledge, or worse, power, from the previous game isn't very nice.

Furthermore, on this case, in particular, I have been rushing towards that Mind Domain for a while, and Ilunabar's take on it has already been shown to be based on information collection and planning, that kinda closes the window for any possible plan to resurrect Arguis' domain, in my opinon.

We do not have gods of insects, of sickness, of birds, of thunder, of love, of friendship/cooperation/family, of the home, of the moons(plural), of the night, of glory/heroism, of medicine, of tradition, of language, of strength, of curiosity/exploration, of weather/seasons, of freedom... The list is big. It would be easier if you mentioned stuff you'd like to play with.

And the djinn tackle pretty much everything related to the elements or nature. Murmur even tackles sound.

I noticed the lack of water gods too :/ Jvan's only there because there's the weirdshit is better down where it's wetter. I'd be happy to see a dedicated fish person down there, especially considering her current projects are all at the bottom of the ocean.

I never struggle with coming up for demigod ideas, though. I feel like we are sorely lacking elemental deities right now. As I recall, we have metal, light, air, and... Nuclear fusion, I guess? There's a lot of room for material portfolios tied in to a symbolic domain, or vice versa. I was once tempted to play a depressed god of Water (Isolation), for example, way back when. Other things I've played with include Cycles (Erosion), Death (Remains) and so on. Fear (Lightning), Fertility (Dust), Love (Flowers), Emotions (Masks), Journeys (Sail), Light (Candles), Language (Ink)... And what have you.

There's also not much in the way of portfolios specific to a set of creatures or cultures. All I can think of was Occult (Demons). Riders (Companionship, Trade), Water (Ports), Air (Tengu), Cities (Poltergeists, Lowlives, Nobles), Night (Werewolves), Rivers (Naga) and so on.

@Obsidian To be honest, Vitrum (now Aeramen) does not have a huge role just yet. He's a metal djinn / combat teacher / defender of Galbar but he doesn't necessarily have to be the only one of his kind.

You could be similar to Vitrum but take a different path.

You could be one of Aeramen's students and leave the Hilt for your own adventures.

By the way, there aren't any actual deities that have a specific classical element in mind. Sure, Zephyrion and the djinnis have been dealing with that as a whole, but specialising in any particular one (earth, fire, water, air, [aether is arguably Ull'Yang's jam]) is still certainly a possibility.

From what I've seen, the gods we have take broad stuff to cover everything while demigods take narrow stuff to specialise more. Don't be afraid to put a unique spin on a subset of something we may already have.

Oh yeah. I know I included Obsidian as one of the main points of Ilu's Glass portfolio. But if Obsidian wants the specific Obsidian port I'd have 0 issue with Obsidian using Obsidian too.
