He arrives home a little while later, parking the buggy in the garage. He heads inside the house, grabbing some of the tiramisu. He walks to the living room and sits down to relax, eating the tiramisu with a smile. He lays down on his couch eating the dessert.

The next morning, Ele work up as the sun spilled into her room and stretched. Getting up, she changed into a pair of leggings, a tank top, and pulled a sweater over her shoulders. Pulling her hair into a ponytail and knelt in front of one of her bags.

It was full of art supplies, paints, brushes, books of sketch paper and paint paper. Pulling out the paints, brushes, and papers as well as an easel, Ele took her supplies and went to the back porch where the lighting was best.

A few hours later, Ele had her headphones in, music playing from her phone, and her mind was on the task in front of her. Using pictures and her sketches, Ele had been able to create the beginnings of a photo realistic depiction of the model railway, She had finished a train, and the surrounding landscape, but the start of the finished product was there,

Tyler wakes early once again the next morning. He gets pants and a long sleeve shirt on, then puts on his socks and shoes. He makes a quick breakfast to wake up with. He sits down on his couch and turns on his tv to watch the news to see what the weather will be like for the day. Seeing that is going to rain later in the day he opts to grab a coat. He tosses it on the couch and continues to eat breakfast.

By lunch time, Ele had about half of the design done, and she decided it was a good time to take a break. Standing up, she stretched and looked up at the sky. It was beginning to look gloomy, so she pulled her painting into the suite but left the door open. If it rained the sound would fill the space and freshen the air.

Being a monday the hobby shop was in full swing. People filled the shop and were playing card games, mostly Magic the Gathering and Yu-Gi-Oh but some were playing Pokemon and Digimon. Having access to many cards, Tyler jumps in for a Yu-Gi-Oh tag duel with a brand new player. He constructs the kid a deck to duel with and teams up with him. He shows him the ropes and ends the duel very quickly. The kid smiling buys the deck from Tyler. Tyler goes back to the counter and pulls out a leather card carrier and places the deck in it. He grabs his lunch and eats it at the counter waiting for people to check out cards or hobby crafts once again.

Deciding this was a good place to stop for the day, Ele left the painting to dry as she walked around the suite. It felt strange not having Tyler around, like there was something missing. Making an impulse decision, Ele pulled on a pair of sneakers and swiped on a dash of mascara before grabbing the keys to her rental and hurrying out the door.

A little while later, Ele parked the rental SUV outside of the hobby shop and wandered inside. It was busier than she had seen it before, and some of the guys there turned to stare at the young woman who instantly felt uncomfortable. Ducking her head and hurrying past the card players, Ele tried to find Tyler.

He stands up as she is walking over, slurping up a noodle and licking his lips.

"Hey Ele, glad you decided to show up."

He says, offering her a bite of wok tossed noodles with kung pow shrimp.

"Yeah, I've done all I can with the design for today, and being alone was a little weird."

She said, wrapping her sweater around herself. When Tyler offered her the bite, Ele leaned forward and let him feed it to her.

"That's good, maybe a hint of cayenne to give it a real kick."

"They do have chili paste at Yummy Japan to make it hotter so if you want more heat you can get it."

"I'm usually okay with being alone, so consider yourself a special snowflake that I want to be around you."

Ele teased, nudging Tyler with her elbow. Looking around the store, Ele couldn't help but angle her body away from some of the people there, some were looking at her and Tyler,

"Why are people staring?"

She whispered, leaning closer to Tyler.

She asked, looking down. Noticing Tyler's hand next to hers. Biting her lip, Ele brushed her fingers against Tyler's for a moment, but pulled back.

"You remember those race car tracks where you could build them and make them go multiple directions? The ones where the car had a needle on bottom that rested in a slot on the track."

He asks her as he walks down to the end of the counter. He walks around the end and says.

"Over here where the train set was."

He points out a track with multiple lanes and 2 cars sitting that look like real cars just much smaller.

"We can change out the cars. This set is to show our most expensive track design and let people get a feel for the cars. Each car performs differently from the next. Some launch faster, some launch smooth and have more handing on the track. You can find what you want most or just go with what is on there."

He says, grabbing a dodge viper from the wall. He puts it on the track and plugs in the controller.

Ele looked at the wall of cars and spotted a purple and magenta one. She had no idea of the make or model, but it was her favorite colors so she picked it up and switched it with the car on the track. Taking the controller and plugging it in, Ele looked up at Tyler,

"Is this a ready, set, go type of deal?"

"Yup, you push the black button by your cord and wait for the other person to press theirs. It counts you down and you pull the trigger. You only have to controller the trigger, it will turn for you but it will spin you out or toss you from the track if you take a corner too fast or too slow. I have it set so you can take it full throttle for most of it."

He puts his car on the line in the staging area and pushes the button, turning the lights on for his side.

"That car you have is capable of launching hard but the launch if you don't feather the throttle will make you lose traction if you just pin it from the start."

He tells her and waits for her to push her button.

"I have no idea what that means."

Ele said as she pushed the button and the lights started counting them down. Holding her controller tightly with her finger over the trigger, she waited for the light to turn green. When it did, she pressed down her trigger and her car zipped forward.

He takes off with his car getting left behind. He pins the trigger catching up to her in the corners, he pushes a button on top of the controller and it switches lanes going to the inside lane. Passing her in the corner, barely overtaking her as they hit the straights. Hitting the straights he is drawn in and passed as they hit the next corner, putting Ele back in the lead.

"This is gonna be a close race."

He says with a laugh. He shifts lanes again swinging out wider, as he comes around the next curve he has it pinned and it wipes him out. He resets the car and takes off again. They run around the last few corners with him catching up in them and as he rounds the last corner he spins out once again.

"I don't know what to do! What do I do?!"

Ele squeaked, trying to keep her car moving, but slowing down for the curves. The times that she lost the lead, Ele would laugh and shake her head,

"Oh no you don't!"

Before she would push her car faster. The times that Tyler spun out, Ele would cheer and retake her lead until they finally crossed the finish line, her car a couple inches ahead of Tyler's.

"Yes!"

Ele cheered, raising her fists in the air, a big smile on her face as she turned to Tyler and laughed, jumping up and down with happiness,

"The newbie has beaten the master!"
