Cassandra And Miranda

@YoshiSkittlez

Cassandra ran up the stairs, Chewbacca running along beside her, as if she was going to give him more bacon. She chuckled lightly, and headed towards her room, ”Mi-i-iri” She shouted again, pushing her door open, ”Bacon!” She said, already moving to a draw, that held some of Miranda’s clothes, for whenever they had an impromptu sleepover, throwing whatever she got her hands on towards her friend. ”We’re going to the hospital with dad, so you better hurry up and eat before we leave!” she said cheerfully, turning to smile at Miranda, ”And before Chewy begs off all the bacon” She said, nudging the dog, who still seemed to think she was going to give him more bacon.

Miranda’s eyes had rapid movement within them, Something typically associated with intense dreaming… or in her case nightmares. Last night was certainly just that, a nightmare that felt so real but still, the screams, shouting, the blood and tearing of flesh was still so fresh in her mind and seemed to be the main theme of her current sleep, it seemed to be getting a more worse as it was going on except for this weird smell of bacon that kinda made her mind throw itself off and go into something much less nightmarish but just a whole lotta weird which partially woke her up, sweat glistening on her face a little. The smell of bacon coming up the stairs was strong however and that meant Cassie was making breakfast, Miranda remembered that she was insistent on staying with Cass to make sure she would be okay and not alone, she would always be there for her girl.

Miri stirred some more when the familiar voice and scent of Cassie came into the room and after a moment of epic stretching under the duvet, the blonde was fully awake and mustered a tired smile to her bestie. That was until some clothes landed on her face. Sitting up Miranda couldn’t help but let out a little chuckle, of course Chewy would want the bacon and normally Miri would race him down the stairs for it, if Cassie’s father was not down stairs. The mention of the hospital was enough to remind her that what happened last night was not just some nightmare but tried putting it aside to be their for her friends. “Hospital day then huh.” She smiled climbing out of the bed to start getting changed. “Be a great chance to spend sometime with Sebastian and Syleste and be there for them.” Miri paused for a moment with a little sigh. “I hope they are okay…” she trailed off.

Cassie nodded, “Yeah” She said softly, “Dad said they were okay, when he left the hospital. I spoke with him, when he got home. He said that Syleste was doing okay, Gage is with her, and I think both Syleste and Sebastian are in the same room. I’m sure he had the staff ready to notify him if something went wrong with them.” She said, trying not to think about little Syleste, on a hospital bed. She wished they could get her, and Sebastian out of there. It seemed like they had got the short end of the stick, not being able to heal...like they had. She looked down at her hand, that had been mangled mere hours ago.

“I want to check in on the others, as well, but...they could be anywhere. Aron might have stayed at the hospital as well, I suppose…” She trailed off, retrieving her phone, frowning slightly, hoping that there was a message from Alexis-the girl had seemed so worried about them, but there wasn’t yet.

“Well, let's head downstairs, get some food in you. There some pre-made lunch too-I cook it so Dad won’t just have twix’s all day”She said, “Maybe I’ll take some in for Syl and Seb too” Cassandra sad thoughtfully, looking back to Miri and smiling.

Miranda nodded while listening to Cassie and finishing up get dressed in fresh clothes, she couldn’t help but have her mind and heart go out to the two as unlike the rest of the group that seemed to heal up in no time, those two did not. “Well your dad does seem to be a miracle worker, If he say’s they are going to be okay, then I believe that they will get through this, but it still does not stop me worrying about them… and the others.” Checking and brushing her hair to make sure there was no blood in it, god she spent what felt like forever washing herself and her hair to get the blood stains out. “So how did you get round to setting them two up anyway?” Miri smiled referring to Gage and Syleste.

Miri turned to see her friend looking at her hand, probably where she got bitten before looking at her phone, Miri could not shake the feeling of failing to be their for her, save her, even if Miri had scare of her own to, she was always looking out for others before herself, hopefully that never changed with what she was apparently meant to be now. She walked over and gently took Cassie’s hand and gave a reassuring smile. “He still munches out on the twix’s huh? Thought you managed to get him out of that habit” She joked a little to help keep spirits up. “That is a wonderful idea, I am sure Seb and Syl will appreciate it over the hospital food.”

Miranda motioned to Cassie to lead, while still holding her hand. “Lead the way, let’s get some breakfast before either Xerxes or Chewbacca eat it all.”

Cassandra chuckled, and shrugged, ”Oh, I learned from the best” She said, ”I just...nudged them together”

Cassandra smiled, and headed downstairs, retrieving her plate, and giving one to Miranda, keeping them out of reach of Chewbacca, ”Nah-uh” She said to the dog, leaning back against the bench, she looked to Miranda, studying her friend, trying to see if she was truly okay.

”Are you alright, Miri?” She asked softly, as she started to finish off her breakfast, nudging Chewbacca down as the big down made a move towards her plate, ”After...everything?”

Miri smiled as they made it downstairs and was given the plate, she to had to make sure that Chewbacca did not ninja any bacon of her plate. She had to admire his determination and it was hard to resist him giving her that look for his quest for another piece of bacon, looking over at Xerxes she did offer a “Morning” to him. Miri was getting through a breakfast when Cassie saved her from giving in and providing a piece of bacon to Chewy when she softly asked how Miri really felt.

Was she okay? Her mind going over several things at once, processing everything that was done and said and spent most of her time worrying about the other to not really think of herself. To be honest she was not to sure, for sure she felt perfectly fine physically probably better than ever before but couldn’t shake of this feeling that something was still off with herself. She was silent for a moment thinking, looking down at her plate before looking back up at her friend and put on a smile. “Yeah I feel fine… I mean don’t think I’ve managed to process everything, But yeah I am alright.” Adjusting herself in the seat, Miri went back to finishing off her breakfast.

Cassandra stared at Miranda a moment, sure that that wasn’t all. When she’d walked into her room, Cassie was sure that Miranda hadn’t been okay, in retrospect. She shifted, setting her plate down on the bench, pushing it back so Chewbacca couldn’t get it, and going over to Miranda. “Are you sure?” Cassandra had talked somethings through with her father, so she was at an advantage, she thought, compared to the others. ”We didn’t get to talk much last night...I just want to make sure you are alright…” She didn’t want to push, yet she did want to ensure that Miranda wasn’t going to let herself fall apart.

Miranda watched as Cassie came over to her, it was hard to admit if there was something wrong, that she was not alright. But truthfully she didn’t know, didn’t understand just what is really going on with herself and the others, what made it harder was that it was Cassie, the pair of them had been there for each so much over the years, they practically talked about everything together. Honestly she wasn’t sure, and it probably showed on her features. “I know we didn’t get much chance to talk, but… So much happened so fast I… I just need some time to process it all.” Once again Miranda found herself resting her hand on Cassie’s for comfort. “I am okay at the moment, I just need a little time and if anything changes you’ll be the first to know.”

Cassandra studied Miranda a moment, before nodding, ”Okay then.” She said, giving Miranda’s hand a squeeze, before she smiled, and moved over to the freezer, taking out enough meals for herself, her father, Miranda, Syleste, Sebastian, and for good measure, Gage, packing them into a cooler bag, she turned to both Miranda and her father, ”Alright, let’s go!”

Alexander Flores

Location: Home
@Damo021 @Caits

The beep from his phone caused Alex to roll over in his rather disheveled bed where he lay shirtless and stare at the ceiling for a few moments, ignoring the text he'd received. After returning to Klamath Falls Alexander had moved back in with his mother, and now occupied the carpeted basement area that wasn't so much of a basement and had a door leading out of the right side of the home. A groan escaping the man as he slipped out from under the covers and stand, heading straight for the tiny basement styled bathroom where he quickly slipped into the steamy shower. He'd stayed at the garage far too late last night, and even after returning home he hadn't fallen asleep right away. So now he was tired and a little cranky.

Skip ahead twenty minutes to where a still shirtless but much less cranky, and much more clean Alex stood in the kitchen cooking himself some scrambled eggs for breakfast. The pan in front of him sizzled as Alexander thought on what his mother had mentioned when he'd gotten home. That Miranda had been involved in something last night, and wouldn't discuss it, but that she was fine, but still. After both James and Sombra had left he and Miranda were both down a sibling, and so the two had shared some sort of small bond over that. Alex had never attempted to try and take James's place in any way shape or form but even when he left to college he'd kept in touch with Miranda and checked up on her from time to time. So he grabbed his phone and sent her a text.

To: Miranda Burke
Heard something happened last night, you okay?

Afterwards Alex scooped the eggs out onto the plate before having a seat at the kitchen table, finally checking the text he'd received earlier. It was from Mom, Your sister might be in town. Alexander stared at the phone screen for a good thirty seconds before finally putting it down on the table. He had to remind himself that it was a maybe before he reacted. So Alex took a bite of the ever so slightly burnt eggs, then reached for the hot sauce and dabbed it on them. Hot Sauce makes even the worst of foods taste decent as far as he's concerned.

The temptation to grab a shirt and leave the house to actively try and hunt Sombra down needed to be resisted. Besides, if she was actually back she'd stop by to see her mother and brother right? So staying here worked in just as much favor as leaving. Finally with a sigh he grabbed the phone and texted his mother back.

To: Mom (Myra Flores)
If you find out one way or the other, let me know?

He didn't really feel the need to say it, he suspected his mother would but it didn't stop him from sending the text. Then Alexander continued eating, while staring off into space lost in his own thoughts.

Magnus

Magnus stirred and slowly woke up. With a slight grumble he managed to get out of bed and pull on his pants. Since he didn't bring any spare clothes he had to deal with clothes from the day before. He lightly rubbed his face and huffed.

A yawn escaped him as he exited his room bare chested and bare footed. His hair a bit mussled and his eyes clean of eye liner. This exposed light dark circles under his eyes betraying his small inability to get a lot of sleep.

He padded his way through, passing both Leo and Callie before finding a large mug. Seeming to be almost zombie like in his movements he put heated water in the mug before rummaging for an earl grey tea bag. He then waited for it to steep his expression that of someone who is clearly not a morning person. After about 5 minutes he pulled the bag out and hunted down some hot chocolate...once found that was put into the concoction.

Through all of this Magnus was silent until he finally took a sip. Then he managed to speak. "Morning" He found a seat and sat the mug clutched in his hands while he watched them. He ran a hand through his hair causing it to be more mussled before taking another sip of his odd breakfast drink.

Alexis Farreacher

Location: Exhaustion was a powerful force. One powerful enough to send Alexis into a deep, dreamless sleep. But it wasn’t as strong as fear. Fear that there was still something out there. Fear of sleeping in a stranger’s bed. And while the sleep was deep and dreamless, she had to wake up from it at some point. Which she did. Outside the very first rays of the sun already peered over the horizon. Filling her room with a golden light. She woke up face down into her pillow, realizing she was not in her own bed. Her entire body ached and felt soar. Like she ran a marathon yesterday.

With a deep sigh she turned around and threw her head back into to the pillow. Laying on her back on the bed was so much more comfortable. What did she get herself into? Literally twelve hours ago she was just a little witch in a big city. A girl that walked through streets, following an orb. Just a little before that she was a shade, ignored in the hallways of school. Now she discovered that she was a warlock, that she wasn’t alone and that there were other creatures of the night. Her dad told her once that life constantly changes. “You can’t know what happens tomorrow. Or the day after. Or next month. Or next year. The only way you could was by doing nothing.” It was part of an attempt to convince her to go with them to some party. It sucked. But the words stuck.

Sitting up, she pulled the Grimoire on the bed. As she opened it, the ink on the pages started to appear. Describing potions or spells. But when she took her pen and approached the paper, the ink vanished. The crown of the pen hit the book. An ink dot started to form. But what was she going to write? Help me?

Can you help me?

It was a stupid thing to write. How could the book help her? It was an inanimate object. Granted, it was enchanted but just how far did that go? Could it talk? Could it even understand what she wrote? Probably not. Even now the ink faded into the paper. Leaving it blank. Until the black ink started to form.

Ask and see

Rather surprised Alexis stared at the book. Could it work? Should it work? But she then realized she didn’t have time. It was Friday, a school day. Meaning she’d have to be in school in an hour. And before that, well, she figured Callie had made breakfast. That and she thought she still owned the witch an explanation for the book’s odd behavior. But in private. Callie she trusted. But not Leo and definitely not Magnus. With a comb, she went through her hair. Trying to tame it but it was a lost battle. So instead she put it in a pony-tail. After that, she grabbed her bag and slowly walked downstairs. Leo and Magnus were already awake. Magnus’ “morning” was proof of that.

“Morning.” She muttered from the stairs, locating the bacon. With bag and all she sat down on the other side of Leo and Magnus. Munching down the meat while making a failed attempt not to stare at the both of them. Did the day have to start awkward?

Callie looked over as Leo joined in on her singing, smiling with pleasure, and leaning back against him as he hugged her, "Good morning, dearest Leo" She replied, "Mmm. It always smells divine You really have to be here more often for it" She said, giving him a chuckle, watching him get a glass of Orange juice, she said "Get one for Alexis as well, and perhaps Magnus would like one as well" She studied him a moment, and sighed softly, "I wish you'd let me give you something, for bad dreams" Of course, if they were visions, nothing would stop them coming, and so she wouldn't force the issue if it was a moot point.

The potion tasted foul.

"Who said I slept?" Callie said in response, making sure the work area was clean, before she thoroughly washed her hands, "The night was dark, and full of terrors. Easier to beat away awake, then suffer visions while I slept" Callie said after a moment. Then sighed softly, turning to face Leo. ”Leo…” She said softly, ”I’m scared” She said wearily, if she couldn’t speak with Leo, she couldn’t speak to anyone. ”There’s something coming.” She shook her head, and retrieved the spoon from the vat of salt water, ”Will you come with me, when I speak with Zoe?” She asked, putting the spoon in the spell sink to wash later.

She looked over, and watched Magnus walk in, shuffling, and make...tea with hot chocolate? Well. That was a little eccentric, but what did she know? She made potions with all kinds of stuff. She gave him a small smile, ”Good morning, Magnus Did you sleep well?” She asked him, nodding to the plates with food, warmed by a simple spell ”Breakfast is served, by the way. Help yourself” She said, glancing to Leo, a silence communication to tell him they could continue their conversation later. ”I’d really like it if you stayed for breakfast” She said, ”I believe it is going to be a long day for all of us, and you need strength” She said to Magnus, making it clear that he had no option in the matter.

She smiled over at Alexis even before the girl said morning, ”Good morning, Alexis”. She turned to the girl, finding it...satisfying to see the girl eating, enjoying the food, if looking a bit out of place near the two men. She couldn’t blame Alexis for feeling uneasy around them. They were both powerful men, and had good looks. She was beyond being intimidated by either of them. Alexis, despite everything, was still half a child. There was much she had to learn, ,and Callie just hoped she could guide her on the right path. The young woman had a lot of potential, and she didn’t want to see that go to waste.

”Did you sleep well?” She asked, her expression growing a little distant, as she looked out the window. A glazed look came over her a moment, and then Callie looked back to the trio, ”Alexis, would you like to come over tonight, when you are free, for a lesson” She asked her, smiling once more as she joined them, sitting down, and grabbing some food herself.
”You have a lot to learn, and it would be good to speak with you, find out what you know and need to learn, as well as any concerns you might have” she smiled, ”and if you need a ride anywhere, I am happy to oblige”

Zoé Flores

Location: Mia & Pia's Pizzeria & Brewhouse.
Interacting With: Aron Brooks (@BlackPanther), Alder James and Damien Flores (@YoshiSkittlez).

Gods, so many things had changed, and so quickly… Everything happened just so... fast, and in a matter of hours, her pack had tripled in numbers. Her side was going to hurt for a week once she finally got her tattoo updated with all the new names. Jonah Muscaratti, James Burke, Sombra Flores… three names; one of which, sadly, was now crossed out… Taken from her just a little over five years ago when she had gotten into a fight for dominance over Klamath Falls. That alpha had taken family from her, and almost managed to take two more before she drove him off… It had been one of the worst nights of her life; one that had been full of danger for all involved, and one that she never wanted to have a repeat of. Hopefully this wasn’t the same alpha...

She had been close… so damn close..! He was right there..! A defeated sigh falling out through her lips at the thought that she had let the rival alpha slip through her fingers, Zoé let a single hand slip from where it had been supporting the keg, her fingers slipping back and disappearing through her long (and now rather wet) dark locks, pushing them back and off her face as thoughts began to plague her mind- this guy had already shown her that he was unafraid to attack the innocent… she couldn’t bring herself to even think about what else it was that he was capable of…

“Hey. Uhm… we made you some stuff.”

That voice… it sounded, familiar. Frowning slightly in confusion as she was pulled from her thoughts, Zoé slowed to an eventual stop, her soft lips parting ever so slightly from one another as she glanced around, her dark gaze eventually landing on one of the very people she had been thinking about moments beforehand. Aron. He was here. How was he here..? She was positive that she had locked the door after Xerxes had left for the night; she herself choosing to stay at the parlor for a few more drinks, though those few seemed to have turned into more than she had first intended.

“..Aron…” Unable to help the smile that played over her lips as her eyes came to a rest on her new son, she turned her body to face him, her grip over the keg shifting slightly so that it was resting more comfortably over her shoulder, a slight surprise crossing over her gentle features as she glanced down into the box, the sight of the sandwich causing her stomach to growl, letting her know just how hungry she really was. Maybe she shouldn’t have skipped dinner the night previous...

“Gage wanted to make something for you since he decided to stay at the hospital...”

“..that’s so sweet of you boys. Thank you, Aron.” Her smile growing wider over her lips, Zoé reached out, taking the box from him and lifting it up so that she could get a better look and smell of what was inside the sandwich that had been made for her. Pot roast..? Mashed potato..? Gravy..? And all of it on sour dough to boot. It smelt amazing, something to finally rival the strong stench of beer that clung to her, and it was clear that after having worked together for so long, the boys knew her so well already, “Argh… oh God, it smells wonderful Aron; seriously, thank you so much for this.”

“Uh… Zoé? Zoé did we open early today?”

The sound of another voice calling out to her, Zoé frowned, lowering the box down to her side as she turned to look back over at the bar; though she couldn’t see who it was calling out to her over the top of the kegs and other memorabilia, she could have sworn it sounded like Alder. Though if she was right, she wasn’t sure why he was here. After coming to the sad conclusion that she had, with help, managed to polish off what was left of the Dopplebock on tap, she’d shot him a message to go pick up more from the brewery. It was one of their more popular beers; one that the regulars adored along with the Screaming Eagle. Running out of it was just not an option for them.

Besides… it was just too early for Alder...

Chalking it down to the fact that she hadn’t gotten any sleep in almost twenty-four hours straight, she let her attention turn back over to Aron, a soft smile returning to her gentle features as she shook her head in answer to his next question. Though help was always welcomed, especially at this time of the morning when she had so much to get done, she couldn’t bring herself to ask that of him. The kids had been through so much already… they needed time; needed each other… she wasn’t going to be the one to say they couldn’t do that…

“Thanks for offering; but I have things covered here. Why don’t you go out and spend some time with your friends..? Or that boyfriend of yours…” Chuckling softly as she heard the sound of his phone beeping in his pocket, Zoé shook her head, her dark eyes watching him lovingly for a moment before she motioned over to the bar where she was sure to be spending a bit of time thanks to needing to change the keg, “If one of those shakes is for me, you can pop it down on the bar. Go spend some time with Cody; maybe even invite him and your friends over for dinner if you want. On the house; anything you guys want.”

Taking a step closer to him, Zoé let her eyes flutter closed, her soft lips pressing softly against his forehead in a gentle kiss before she pulled back, her mind once more turning back to the job at hand as she began back on her path, closing the gap between her and the bar, “Go on; go have some fun today. Just try not to get into too much trouble, and if you need me, call for me. I’ll be there in a heart… beat…”

Stopping dead in her tracks the moment she saw him, Zoé’s grip over the keg failed, the barrel slipping from her arm to instead hit the ground, the wood cracking before shattering completely, causing the liquid within to splash up, once more soaking her through and forcing the smell of beer to fill the air, consuming her sense of smell completely. How was this possible… he couldn’t be here… could he..? Her eyes never once leaving the large figure that was sat at the bar in front of her, Zoé stood frozen, her mind working overtime as she tried to make sense of the sudden situation she had found herself in, and somewhere… somewhere in the back of her mind, she was grateful that her son had left to go be with his friends. Her body shaking lightly, she continued to stare- he was gone… disappeared from her life, just like her niece had done. What-... What the hell was going on here..?

Aron Brooks

Aron managed a smile. "No problem...honestly Gage is a bit stressed" as in stress cooking. A habit that was both good and bad since it meant there ended up being food abundant. Seeing as gage was back at the hospital though it meant there was not the usual mountain. Probably just a pie or two. Definitely two.

Aron kept the smile...being thanked was new. "There's also two pies at the house....I think ones cherry and the other is chocolate. I dragged him out of there before he filled the house"

Aron paused hearing Alder. He blinked ready to go help but instead decided to wait for Zoe. Her response caused his eyes to widen. "I....I can? Really?" He suddenly looked incredibly excited. "I'll...I'll ask him." the implication of that excitement was painful. He had never had anyone over to where he lived.....nor had someone offered to cook for them.

Aron suddenly froze as she stepped toward him. He blinked when she kissed his forehead. Another blink. He seemed frozen for a moment before he smiled and nodded. In quick movements he put the shake down on the counter before he received the text from Cody. Worry filled him before he turned to Zoe. "I'll see you at....home" a soft smile filled his face before he made his way out barely glancing at the huge guy at the bar.

He texted as he walked.

To Cody:
I'm on my way. I'm sorry I worried you...busy day...I'll tell you all about it

Aron fully intended to tell his boyfriend everything from why he smelled like smoke to finally having a home...and what he would want for dinner. A beaming smile filled his face at that thought before he started to run. Running meant he would get there quickly.

About 10 minutes later he found himself managing to climb up the tree house while holding a milkshake. Once at the top he turned to Cody looking extremely apologetic. "Hey...I'm sorry I didn't say anything" his head dropped. "Forgive me?"

Gage Brooks

Gage was exhausted. Exhausted and stretched on two chairs, his legs planted on the floor. He seemed to be asleep in the room that held both syleste and Sebastian. He too had the faint scent of smoke making him smell more like a forest fire.

His dreams seemed to change to nightmares causing him to twitch in his sleep. Gage then suddenly sat up bursting awake. His breathing rapid as he rubbed his face. His clothes seemed brand new as well, with his shirt being black and blue basketball shorts. He rubbed his face again and gave out a soft groan.

The events of early this morning coupled with last night clearly wore him down quite a bit. He glanced over at his girlfriend and then looked down.

Cody Treadwell

@BlackPanther

Cody sighed in relief as Aron returned his text, and set his phone down. He leaned back into the beanbag, and closed his eyes. Aron was on his way, and Cody suddenly didn't feel afraid anymore. He smiled to himself, and after a few moments, he rose to go to the door of the tree house, looking out. For a moment, the trees around him brought back flashes of memory, and he grimaced, shaking his head and getting rid of the images. He wasn't going to let it over power him. As he leaned against the wall, Cody closed his eyes. As he waited, there was something that was...a little unnerving. Namely the fact he could hear and smell things he hadn't been able to before. It was...fascinating. He took a few moments to enjoy it, to understand it.

He heard Aron coming, long before he should have been able to. He opened his eyes slightly, watching Aron come towards him. His heart beat sped up, and he found himself wanting to go down there. Instead, Cody took the chance to watch Aron as he ran. There was something to be said about a runners physic, and Aron certainly had the sort of body that came from hard work. Cody wasn't ashamed to admit that he was ogling. But Aron was his boyfriend. He could ogle. He smiled to himself, glad he had taken the chance, and kissed Aron. Glad they had gotten together. Cody had had a crush on Aron for years. Even before he came out which hadn't necessarily been a shocking thing. His parents had known long before he let the world know, and he figured that on some level, his friends had as well.

Cody hadn't done anything for years, because...well, he hadn't wanted to lose one of his best friends, if Aron didn't swing...well, his way. And he'd been terrified of taking the chance. so he watched Aron approach, savoring the moment of it all. Stepping back as Aron began to climb, he smiled again, and hugged Aron to himself, "I"m just glad you are okay" He said softly, "I don't know what I would do if I lost you" His voice shook slightly, and he kissed him, pulling back after a moment. "Are you okay?"

Leo

Location: Cedar Ash Inn
Interacting with: Alexis @Legion02, Callie @Caits, Magnus @BlackPanther

"I wish you'd let me give you something, for bad dreams."

Leo's shoulders tensed, clearly apparent due to the fact that he wore a tank top, at Callie's comment. It always pained him to hear that mournful tone, that depressed note, in Callie's voice. His head fell a little as he busied himself with filling a couple of glasses of orange juice.

The visions were nothing new, however every time Callie picked up on the fact that Leo had experienced a particularly bad episode, the Warlock felt as if he had hurt her in some way. Rationally, he knew it was ridiculous. The visions were a part of his spell set, and they often provided useful information into current or future events; they had even proved useful enough to save lives a couple of times. But nonetheless, he felt as if he had done something wrong, something to hurt Callie.

"Who said I slept?" Callie switched topics, most likely picking up on his shift in posture and demeanor.
"The night was dark, and full of terrors. Easier to beat away awake, then suffer visions while I slept."

A moment of silence hung in the air, filled only by the gentle sluicing of orange juice flowing into a glass.

”Leo…” She said softly, ”I’m scared. There’s something coming.” Leo knew exactly what she meant. The visions, the vicious apparitions, the brutal familiarity of the wolf...
The entire situation made Leo uneasy, giving him a deep dense of wrong that permeated to his very bones.

”Will you come with me, when I speak with Zoe?”

"Absolutely, Callie. I need to tell you two about something." Leo abruptly cut his words off as a shirtless Magnus entered the room, obviously disgruntled and grumpy. For a moment, Leo's mind was distracted as a gentle rush of blood filled his cheeks and a small smirk crept onto his lips as he quietly observed the druid. His downcast head disguised observant eyes as he watched the Druid prepare his morning concoction, oblivious to his audience. A brief flash of the vision he had experienced last night of Magnus in his room flitted through Leo's brain, causing his cheeks to blush ever so slightly, however his darker skin disguised it well.

A shared look between the Coven members brought Leo back to reality as the pair non verbally ended their conversation.

”Good morning, Magnus Did you sleep well?” Callie made polite small talk, fulfilling her duties as a host quite amiably. As she spoke and Magnus made disgruntled noises in response, Leo pulled strawberries from the fridge and began chopping them into quarters, reviewing the past night.

The deep, inset feeling of discomfort was still there, gnawing away at his insides like a parasite. There was something too... familiar about the entire attack. It wasn't the wolf, it wasn't the teens, or the woods, or the scents, or the viewpoint... But it was something that Leo had encountered before, something he could never forget but not quite remember.

Alexis awkward entrance into the kitchen disrupted Leo's reflection, eliciting a warm smile from the man. "Morning, Alexis."

As Callie mentioned rides, Leo took note of he many things he had to do that day. Visit the crime scene, check on the new pack to make sure the turning process was proceeding without issue, speak with Zoe, maybe even talk to Magnus about his role, and that of the Coven's, in Klamath Falls moving forward. He knew it was likely that Magnus would become the packs full time Druid, but the Coven's future remained a mystery. Leo figured that they would pick up a few stray pups here or there, give them a place to stay, teach them about what what's and how to go about their newfound supernaturality. More than likely, the two other creatures that Leo had seen in his dream, but couldn't quite place their species, would end up walking through Callie's door.

His thoughts returned to the present as he dumped the strawberries in the bowl and glanced over at Alexis. "Friday's a school day for you, right, Alexis? I can give you a lift if you need it; I'm heading into town anyway for some other business."

Leo realized that a girl her age would probably be very opposed to a strange man she had met the night before giving her a ride, especially a man who had turned blood to ice in front of her and cast many spells in her presence, so he decided to justify the suggestion. "Callie has a few other things she needs to attend to this morning, plus a truckload of sleep to catch up on."

Leo shot a playfully accusatory look over at the Witch before continuing. "But, then again, if you were so inclined as to walk ten miles to school, I guess I could forgive you." Leo winked and flashed a smirk at her as he sat down next across from Magnus with his bowl of fruit, sliding the second glass of orange juice to Alexis as he snagged a strip of bacon off of Magnus' plate. The Warlock popped the food in his mouth and casually glanced at Magnus before pulling his phone out of his pocket and checking his texts.

Magnus

Magnus took a long sip of his drink before glancing at Callie. "I know that tone....that's the I have no choice tone" A sigh escaped him before he finally took a mouthful of eggs then swallowed. "okay I'll stay...As long as I'm not called in anywhere." he was slowly sounding more awake by the minute.

He chose to remain silent as Alexis was spoken too by not only Callie but also Leo. He decided to focus on food. It was pretty good food too. And look at him go he didn't even have alcohol involved yet.

Magnus' attention soon snapped to Leo as the guy snatched a piece of his bacon. Eyes narrowed before he stood. For one so old it would not be expected that he would be so...childish? Magnus went and seem to be searching for something before he returned with marshmallows. Making eye contact he opened the bag and grabbed one. With fairly good aim a marshmallow went sailing before plopping into Leo's orange juice.

Magnus then went back to eating....he seemed much more awake and quite a bit more obnoxious. Who throws a marshmallow into some ones drink for stealing bacon?

Aron Brooks

Aron held that embrace from Cody for as long as he could before he got that question. He couldn't contain it. A smile broke out. "Cody...I'm...I'm great" Aron lightly moved to the beanbag and looked up at Cody setting the milkshake down so it was out of the way.

"....Zoe...Zoe adopted gage and I" Aron was still tired that was for sure but the excitement and happiness was overwhelming everything. Even the idea that maybe starting with why he smealt like smoke would have been a good idea.

Aron could not contain that smile. "Oh and you're invited over for dinner" such a weird thing for him. To be able to invite someone over. He felt like so much of the bad had been wiped away.

Connor and Kaylee

Waking slowly, Connor was perplexed a moment by the feeling of a soft bed beneath him, something he hadn’t felt in a few months. What was more, rather than a sleeping bag, he had a blanket over him. And a girl in his arms. All in all, it served to keep him confused for a few moment, before his tired brain booted up, and made sense of things. Warm, and content, it may have taken a few moments longer than normal to do so, but his body… his instincts, recognised Kaylee for what she was. Mate. He shifted slightly, his arms curling tighter around her, and he inhaled her scent, letting it fill him completely. Mine. The feel of her in his arms, like two pieces of a puzzle joining together, made the sense of completeness overwhelming, and he sighed softly, trying not to wake her. He took the chance to study her, to fill his mind with everything about her, storing it away.

And then his mind started to work… and he recalled that they were at her home… and that meant her parents, and her brother were there too. Connor didn’t have much experience with that sort of thing. Who was he kidding; any experience. Just what was he meant to do? Pushing those slightly terrifying thoughts out of his mind, he looked down to Kaylee, and knew that he would do anything for her. Even facing a protective family. For her, he could do it.

She was his everything, and that was that. “Kaylee…” He whispered, his voice seeming to carry everything he wanted to say, even if he didn’t want to wake her.

That voice… a content sigh falling out through her lips as she began to stir back to life, Kaylee let herself fall further into the warmth and safety of the embrace she felt wrapped around her. So it wasn’t a dream… it had been real; all of it had been real. The attack, losing control, the hospital-...

Connor…

Shifting slightly against his body, she slowly began to open her eyes, allowing herself a moment to adjust to the light filling her bedroom before she lifted her head up, her soft pink lips parting ever so slightly as she met with his gaze, her heart seeming to skip a beat the very moment that she laid eyes upon him. He was here. He was laying right beside her, holding her tightly, and the look in his eyes told her that he wasn’t about to let go anytime soon. The very thought had her cheeks flushing a light shade of red, and with it, everything in the world felt right again, “..heh… good morning, Connor…”

A slow smile spread across Connor’s face, as their gazes met, a sense of… rightness filling him. He doubted he could truly explain what he was feeling. It simply… was… like nothing he had ever felt. “Good morning, Kaylee.” he responded softly, and shifted slightly, to kiss her lightly. It did not even occur to him that not even a week ago, the idea of being in this situation, in bed with a girl, would have been… well, non-existent.

He pulled back after a moment, “I could get used to waking up like this.” he thought to himself, and it took a second or two to realise he had actually said it outloud, and he bowed his head slightly, sure he was blushing.

Lifting her hand up from where it had been resting lightly over his chest, she gently caressed his cheek, her touch lightly as she urged him to lift his head so that she could once more meet with his eyes… his beautiful, beautiful eyes… damn she was never going to be able to get used to this; the way he made her heart leap, race, stop. It was all so confusing, but then, there was nothing else this world could offer that would make her give any of it up.

“I could get used to it too.”

Connor didn't look away, smiling once more, he paused a moment, trying to hear if there were any other sounds in the house, but he couldn't seem to focus on anything else, other than Kaylee. And the worry that someone might come in was a small one, soon forgotten.

“Kaylee...I don't really understand everything that's going on, but… I'm glad… to be here, with you.”

Was that a little cheesy? Connor didn't know, nor did he find himself caring about it. “I don't suppose we can just stay in here all day?” he asked, not truly serious about it, although it was a rather pleasant idea.

“I wish; but the later it gets, the more likely it’ll be that my parent’s will come knocking on the door telling us to get up.” Chuckling softly at the thought, Kaylee continued to hold his gaze, the pad of her thumb brushing lightly back and forth over the skin just under his eye, “..you’re not exactly thrilled at the thought of meeting them are you..?”

Connor took a moment before answering, “Well. Not exactly. I've… never really been in any sort of situation that involved meeting someone else's family. It's… a little daunting, really. Especially… with everything else...” he said, then sighed softly, “Although I suppose going to them is better then them coming to us.” he amended thoughtfully, “Uh, should I know anything?”

His question had her mind sorting through everything that she knew about her parents; they were good people. Humans by choice, but ones who knew enough about the supernatural world that they were prepared enough to keep her, and her older brother safe from the dangers that their world posed.

“..nothing major; or at least nothing that I can really think about right now. I mean, the both of them are human, but that’s about it. Other than that; I know they’re going to love you, Connor… just like I do...”

Connor bowed his head, and kissed her again, pulling back after a time, “Well then, I can do this.” he said softly. He'd give Kaylee anything she wanted or needed, without any scrupulous about it.

He smiled, then realized something else. While Connor had clothes that were his, they were back at his campsite. While the clothes he had borrowed should be alright, he didn't exactly think they'd be suitable for long. Suddenly meeting Kaylee's family didn't seem like a big thing, when compared to going back into the woods, know that he knew what he did.

“Should we… head out?” He asked softly.

Unable to help the way that her lips turned up in a gentle smile, Kaylee shifted her body against his, her arms folding lightly over one another as she leant over his chest, her dark eyes sparkling lightly as she gazed up at him, her soft pink lips parting ever so slightly with the action. Okay… so moving had definitely not been a bad idea. It had led her to him; to Connor… to her true mate… She’d spent a good majority of her life with the mindset that she wasn’t going to find someone that she would want to spend the rest of her life with this badly… sure, she’d had boyfriends before; but nothing… nothing compared to this.

“..we can; but maybe we should get you some new clothes to wear… you seem to be about the same size as my brother.” Pausing a moment, Kaylee allowed herself to get lost within his eyes… those beautiful eyes that she knew, now and forever, would always be able to make her heart race, “..but that’s only if you want to… honestly, I’m perfectly fine spending the rest of the day like this…”

Connor shifted with Kaylee, to keep his arms around her, taking in her words. He paused a moment, thoughtful, but really, how long could they think to stay there, without being interrupted? He imagined family members wouldn’t take it well to find a stranger in her room. He gave a small sigh and shook his head, “Can’t hide away forever...no matter how much I want to” He said, although he made no move to actually move, finding himself unwilling to disturb either of them from this...well, peace.

Once again he was right; it didn’t matter how much they wanted to hide away from the world, sooner or later they were going to have to surface eventually. Lowering her gaze at the mere thought, Kaylee let her gaze linger upon his lips, a small smile playing over her own before she leant forward, no sign of hesitation in her actions as she pressed her lips gently… lovingly against his own. She could do this all day long- stay like this forever… wrapped up in his arms, and held close against his body the way that she was. Was there anything more perfect than this..?

Reluctantly pulling away after what felt like a lifetime, she sighed softly, the gentle beating of his heart more than enough to help keep her calm… relaxed in the peace that the morning brought to them, her voice soft, though her Australian accent clear enough as she spoke, “..then I guess I should get up… go grab you something to wear…”

It seemed more then natural to return the kiss, and he responded willingly. He didn’t know if you could survive on kisses, but it didn’t seem to be a bad way to go. When she pulled away, Conor regretted it, but agreed, “Yeah…” He said softly, and reluctantly let his grip on her lessen, almost feeling her absence already. Perhaps if there wasn’t things they had to do...it would be easy to just stay there. Anywhere, with Kaylee.

“I’ll just..wait for you”

She didn’t want to go… but she knew that she didn’t have a choice. They had things that needed to be done, and though when she was with him at times their names seemed elude her, she knew that one of those things was checking to see if the others were alright. Of everyone involved in the attack the night before; she was the senior… the one who had the more experience, at least, she had a feeling she was. Connor was amazing, and seemed to have a great amount of control over what he really was; but until they had time so talk about it… to discuss everything between them, there was just no way of knowing, not that it really mattered.

Slipping away from him completely, Kaylee turned, her feet hitting the ground as she sat up on the edge of the bed. There was a lot they needed to do… a lot they needed to speak about; but first and foremost, the most important thing on the list was their biggest of challenges: meeting her parents. Lifting herself up from where she had been sat, she brought a hand up, her fingers disappearing as she ran them back through her long and wavy dark locks, pushing them back and off her face though it didn’t seem to help much. Casting a quick glance about the room, she moved forward, reaching out and picking up her clothes, pulling them onto her body until she was completely dressed, her gaze flicking over to him as she wrapped her scarf around her neck.

“I’ll be back in a minute; don’t go running off on me, okay..?” Winking playfully in his direction, she couldn’t help but smile, a gentle blush crossing over her cheeks as she hovered a moment longer, eventually turning to leave the room in search of clothes that he could wear for the day.

Connor watched her slip away, letting his touch linger until she moved to far away, sighing softly. He watched her, unable to help himself. It didn't seem like it was a big deal, anymore. He smiled, watching her try to brush her hair back, unable to help the chuckle that escaped him. He sat up, not taking his eyes of her. He chuckled again, “I won’t” He wanted to go over to her, to take her him his arms again, but he resisted. Watching her go, he sighed, running a hand through his hair, and laying back.

There was so much that had happened, that Connor wasn’t sure his mind would ever make sense of it, yet everything just seemed natural around Kaylee. As he waited for her to return, Connor closed his eyes, letting his thoughts run rampant.

After what seemed like a lifetime, Kaylee returned back to her room, her free hand reaching out to push on the door, opening it just enough to let herself slip through before it once more closed behind her with a soft ‘thud’ before she moved to once more sit on the edge of the bed, a small smile playing over her soft pink lips as she placed the pile of clothes down on her lap, her hand reaching out to gently take hold of his, “I’m back; I hope these fit you alright.”

His eyes opened as he heard the door open, he looked to Kaylee, he watched her come back over to the bed, and when she took his hand, he squeezed hers in return, “I’m sure they will be fine” He said softly, “As long as I can get away without being charged for exposure, I can get my truck” He said, giving her a smile, before rising, squeezing her hand again, and then grabbing the clothes, he quickly dressed, although he soon regretted that as he realised there was nothing standing in the way of leaving her room now.

He hesitated a moment, looking to Kaylee, “So...I guess that’s it...no choice but to head out now”

Lifting her gaze up to meet with his, she nodded her head lightly, giving him the answer that unfortunately, she knew he didn’t want to hear, her hand reaching up to neatly tuck some of her hair back behind her ear, her smile and the look behind her eyes a little sad as she kept her eyes locked with his, her hands both reaching out to take ahold of his own, using his help to once more return to her feet, “..we’re were-beasts; fearless, strong and proud, remember..? If we can handle the full moon, I’m sure we can handle my parents…”

Connor gave a chuckle, helping her to her feet, before hugging her once more, wondering for a fraction of a second if you could really call it handling it. Connor didn’t remember much of the previous full moon, and last night...he’d simply acted. “Well. If you are with me, I can handle it” He said, yet still took another moment or two, before he pulled away, taking her hand in his, he turned to the door, starting to head out.

Cody

@BlackPanther

Cody couldn’t help but smile, happy for Aron, glad he was out of that abusive home, and with someone who would care for him, not diminish him. Aron deserved the chance to flourish, to learn all that he could do, and Cody would give him all the support he needed. ”I’m glad” He said softly, and indeed, he was really pleased for Aron, although he did worry what his..well, old adoptive parents would do. From what he had seen, they weren’t ones to back down. Well, the Momster wasn’t. There were many things Cody had wanted to do, after seeing the way that...witch just seemed highly inappropriate now. Given what he now knew, who knew if there were witches out there? Well. Witch with the B instead.

He shifted, and plopped down on the beanbag next to Aron, snuggling close against him enjoying the warmth he held, and inhaling Aron’s scent, a quite delicious scent, of cinnamon roll. There was a scent of smoke there as well, and Cody frowned slightly, looking up to Aron. ”I’ll be there” He promised, like he could ever let Aron down? Aron was so excited about it all, and Cody would give him just about anything to let that excitement continue.

”Are you sure you are okay? Why do you smell like smoke?” He asked, unable to help the worry that he felt, ”You didn’t go back to the campsite, did you?” He asked, sitting up slightly to look down at Aron, leaning back on his elbow, studying his boyfriend.

Callie

@BlackPanther@December@Legion02

Callie looked over to Leo, wondering what he could possible have to tell her, and Zoé. Did he have a vision, then? Callie frowned slightly, a little uncertain. It was not the time, or the place, right then. While she knew that Magnus could be trusted, there were some things that Callie felt had to be kept apart. The druid could be rather...irresponsible. She sighed softly, and nodded. Having been watching Leo, she could see how he reacted to Magnus’s presence and she blinked, huh. She’d known Leo a long time, and hadn’t known him to ever really be interested in any one. This was rather interesting.

She wasn’t too sure what to feel about that.

She didn’t want to lose Leo, he’d been with her every step of the way when she came to Klamath falls. Yet his happiness meant more then her selfishness. So she smiled, and returned to her meal, thoughtful. As Leo said that he could drive Alexis, Callie shifted, looking to the girl, ”It really is okay, Leo. I’m happy to drive her to school” She said, feeling that Alexis might not appreciate being alone with either Leo or Magnus. Callie wasn’t worried about anything happening, she trusted both men, but she knew what it was to be 16, and scared. Alexis had never had any contact with Leo, other than the night before, which hadn’t been the best of situations.

”Really, it’s no trouble.” She shifted, retrieving her mug, which held tea, and a little something extra. ”I shall be fine, Leo, you do not need to worry about me” She said, giving him a smile, and indeed she didn’t seem tired. She shifted, watching the childish behaviour of both men. She sighed softly, waiting a moment, before she quite calmly muttered a word, made a hand gesture, and the marshmellow lifted from Leo’s glass, and returned to Magnus, ”Children, I won’t have food fighting in my house.” She said amusedly, shaking her head. The marshmellow perched itself on Magnus’s nose, and satisfied, Callie returned to her meal.

”Oh, Leo” She said suddenly, looking to Leo, she gave him a bright smile, ”I think it’s time you got recognised as being a witch. You have the skills, and the knowledge, this is long past due. In fact, I already have the exam prepared” She said cheerfully, although she knew how daunting the exam was, and yet, she was certain of Leo’s skills. She had, after all, had a hand in teaching him. She smiled, and one might think she was actually enjoying her little torments of both men, ”You are more then ready for this, Leo, and it will be good for Alexis to see what it takes to become a witch”

She finished off her meal, and sat back. ”Well. There’s a few things I think needs to be addressed. Magnus, I think it would be wise for you to not approach Zoé until later in the day. Leo and myself will be seeing her in the afternoon, I believe she needs to be left alone, for a time. Respect that. Alexis...this is for you” she said, holding out an amulet, already invoked. “It is an amulet you can use to contact me. I have a second one, and they are matched. They work similar to walkie talkies yet they aren't as...obvious. Simply say inovus to activate it and suvoni to deactivate it. It's so if you are in danger, I can know, and be there quickly” she explained, glancing to Leo, “you will also have a set, dear Leo. So that when I don't have my cellphone you need not panic. You will be able to find me if I can't respond, via leylines” she explained. She looked to Leo, and gave a small sigh. ”Leo, I don’t think it would be wise to go too far away, at least until we have spoken with Zoé. Please”

She rose, retrieving the second set of amulets, giving Leo one, giving him a bright smile, although it was tinged with a little bit of sadness, and a lot of worry. She managed to keep a hold of the fear, She returned to her seat, and scooped up Tigress into her arms, looking over at the others.

Aron Brooks

Aron beamed looking extremely happy and feeling the same. His arms wrapped loosely around Cody and a content sigh escaped him. "I can't wait" he really couldn't. The reason for him smelling like smoke nearly left his mind completely instead he was completely focused on the moment.

Then cpdy shifted and glanced down at him with concern. Aron felt his smile fade a bit before he shook his head. "No no of course not." His hand went through his hair before he decided to exaplin. "Gage and I went to go get our stuff from...them. We figured going while it was still dark would allow us to be able to get in and out without any problems." Aron looked at Cody before looking away. "When we got there we saw smoke coming from the backyard. We jumped the fence and there was all of our stuff...on fire. We managed to put it out with the garden hose and we grabbed what was important before we left." he reached into his pocket and pulled out a slightly burned picture. It was of Aron and gage when they were small smiling with their real parents.

"We used the money we managed to save to get some clothes" He looked back at Cody. "It looked like they had lit the fire and left" He looked back at the picture for a moment. "They would've liked you" The entire time his voice was quiet.

Alexis Farreacher

Location: Cedar Ash Inn
Interacting with: Callie Lenson@Caits, Leo Kwon@December and Magnus Bane@BlackPanther

She did feel well slept. Maybe it was the pure exhaustion that had sent her off or some enchantment but despite everything, she did have a good night’s sleep. Even if it was shorter than usual. However, she had a mouth full of bacon so she could hardly say it. Instead, she just looked up at Callie and tried to give her a big smile with a mouth full of bacon. After which she gave a quick nod just to make sure. As Callie invited her for some lessons in the evening, Alexis chewed down the food. If nothing else, Callie could make some awesome food. Maybe it was magic as well? By now, Alexis assumed that she actually knew so little about magic that anything really could be.

Then the topic of rides came up and she realized the day. Friday. Crap, school. Leo was probably not a bad person. Callie seemed to trust him and here she was, eating breakfast with him. But still, she’d prefer Callie. She didn’t really say that yet as she had filled her mouth with some bread again. So Leo and Callie went back and forth. Though it seemed Callie was pretty okay with driving her despite having a lot more responsibilities for the day. “Nothing personal. But I’d go with Callie.” She swiftly said to Leo with a small, please-forgive-me smile.

While generally still somewhat folded in herself, Alexis did look up when Callie mentioned an exam. So there was an official way to become a witch? That changed a lot. If there was a test, the book would know about it. Though she could hardly consult it during the quickly nearing school hours. She remained silent. But certainly looked interested enough.

Once again she smiled at Callie and then at the amulet. Deciding to give a quick test she whispered: “Inovus.” It was small, but Alexis could feel the magic hum inside the wood. So she quickly deactivated again. “Thanks! For the breakfast as well.” She said while giving Callie a hug. Yeah, Alexis felt safe enough to trust the Witch. “I’ll try to come over right after school!” There was more than just a hint of excitement in her voice. The day was new and the little warlock felt a little more confident now. Especially as she managed to process all the new information. “Maybe I can meet Zoe then!” she exclaimed further. Only to realize a second later that the adult supernaturals of Klammath Falls probably would have their hands full today. “Or… someone else from her pack.” She quickly added, trying not to come over pushy. Sure she wanted to meet the illustrious Zoe. But at the same time, she still didn’t want to be an inconvenience to anyone.

Damien Flores

"What kind of bar doesn't sell Modelo?"

Damien stared down his sister, soaked to the bone with beer. He tried not to laugh, but it was just so good seeing her again, a flicker of a smile played across his otherwise hardened lips. He knew the kind of business she ran. He knew she would never put anything on tap other than what she made. But it was also fun to poke the bear a bit and get a rise out of her, as brothers did.

She just kept staring at him, so after a few quiet moments, Damien stood himself up from the barstool and slowly began to approach her as one would a wild animal - afraid to startle it.

Stopping in front of her, half an arm's length away, he looked down at her, his arms opening just the slightest - an invitation for a hug should she choose to take it. Or she would just slap him, he wasn't really sure.

"Zoé. It's... it's been a while..."

Alder James

Location: Mia and Pias Pizzeria and Brewhouse.
Interacting With: Zoé and Damien Flores

Was she... was she just carrying a keg over her shoulder? Well he could do the same, if the keg was empty. But even then it was a bit of a challenge. But the second he witnessed the beer keg splitting upong coming into contact with the floor, soaking the entire bar side of the parlor, his thoughts were elsewhere on the mess now that had to be cleaned up, and a silent moment of mourning at the loss of beer.

"I'll... uh, I'll go get a mop..."

The tension was so thick in the air, Alder swore he could cut it with a knife. His hazel eyes glanced between his boss and the stranger that Zoé apparently knew. On one hand, he was rather relieved that she did. That meant that he could leave the bar while she dealt with the man. But on the other hand, he wasn't so sure how he felt about leaving her alone with him. Things were tense between the two of them, he could tell that right away. And the guy was huge - he could really do some damage if he wanted to.

He hesitated, watching the scene unfold before him before he finally managed to tear himself away from the bar to go to the back for a bucket and a mop.

No, he had to of imagined it. There was no way Zoé could have been carrying that full keg on her shoulder. He blamed his lack of sleep and slight hangover from the night before. It wouldn't have been the first time he imagined something from having no sleep.

Xerxes Arvanitis

Location: Arvanitis Household to Sky Lakes Medical Center.
Interacting With: Cassandra Arvanitis (@Caits), Miranda Burke (@Damo021), Syleste Vos (@Vicier), Sebastian Monroe (@December), and Gage Brooks (@BlackPanther).

Xerxes tried not to listen in on the girls' conversation as they came back down the stairs, getting ready to go with him to the hospital. But they weren't exactly shy about talking right in front of him, either. In all actuality, he was rather happy about that - happy that they felt comfortable enough to hold a conversation without being embarrassed if he overheard anything. It was the case with most of Cassandra's friends, he felt, which was good. Cassandra was always willing to allow him into her life. Even the girl-gossip bits.

He bid Miranda a soft, "Good morning" back to her, silently biding his time with reading the newspaper and sipping his coffee while the girls busied themselves around the kitchen as they talked about how Miranda was feeling. Part of him felt that, maybe it was his job to check up on her as well, but Cassandra seemed to be handling it well enough. He didn't want to overwhelm the young girl.

Nodding as his daughter declared that they were ready to go, he folded up the newspaper and stood from the kitchen bar where he had been sitting while he waited and issued the girls out to the garage where he kept his cars. The mustang had the top down and the Aston Martin couldn't fit the three of them comfortably. So he grabbed the keys to the Bentley Coupe and unlocked the doors for the girls to get inside. Once settled, he began the fifteen minute drive up to the hospital.

Pulling on one of his less-used doctor's coats (since his daughter still refused to give up the one he wore last night), Xerxes quickly washed his hands at the utility sink before walking into the room that now held Syleste and Sebastian. The sirens. He took a moment to look over the two of them, letting the new fact sink in before he crossed the threshold and put on a smile - what Cassandra always called his "Doctor's face."

"Morning you two. I brought some visitors." he told them, gesturing to Miranda and Cassandra behind him. His eyes then landed on Gage. Had he been here the whole night? His heart went out to the boy - by the way he was reacting the night before, he wasn't sure just how this whole thing would turn out.

"One of the girls can run and get you something if you're hungry." he suggested, doubting that the boy had even thought of getting something to eat during the night.

”It really is okay, Leo. I’m happy to drive her to school.” Callie's comment brought both relief and a slight irritation to Leo. He was honestly kind of relieved that he didn't have to take Alexis; he was by no stretch of the imagination oblivious, and he completely understood why a girl Alexis' age wouldn't want a ride from Leo. But at the same time, Callie needed sleep. She was probably juicing on some kind of unhealthy potion cocktail to keep her going. Callie was an exquisite potion master, and Leo understood that she probably had some of the finest brewed potions in the the country, however he still didn't approve of her using them that way. Potions always left Leo feeling sick and shakey, and he was certain that they had long term effects. ”Really, it’s no trouble. I shall be fine, Leo, you do not need to worry about me.”

Leo nodded, however he subtly cast Callie a side glance to check up on her. There weren't that many signs of exhaustion; her posture was slightly slouched, and she leaned a little too heavily against the counter, but other than that, he couldn't catch any signs of exhaustion. Not even any bags under her eyes-

The soft plop of a marshmallow into orange juice disrupted Leo's observations, causing his head to jerk up as he caught Magnus' gaze. A white marshmallow floated in the center of his glass, gently rocking back and forth as the Druid held the Warlock's gaze. Leo's lips parted slightly, but before he could make any comment or cast a spell, the fluffy white object floated from the drink and landed on Magnus' nose. ”Children, I won’t have food fighting in my house.”

Leo bit his lip slightly and considered pushing the subject, just to rile up Magnus' and his grumpy attitude a little more, but he was cut off as Callie said something that quite surprised him.

”I think it’s time you got recognised as being a witch. You have the skills, and the knowledge, this is long past due. In fact, I already have the exam prepared.” Her voice was quite cheerful, however they brought a mix of excitement, dread, and uncertainty to the Warlock. It wasn't exactly the most opportune time for Leo's exam, however he figured Callie had planned it before the previous evening's events.

”You are more then ready for this, Leo, and it will be good for Alexis to see what it takes to become a witch.” Leo looked up at his Coven leader, a disbelieving smile creeping across his face.

"Callie, you know I'd be more than thrilled to become a Witch, but are you certain?" Leo knew her answer; Callie wouldn't have even suggested it if she wasn't absolutely positive he was ready. But a Witch's exam was nothing to be taken lightly. Callie had never alluded to what would be on the exam, however Leo had a few general ideas from back during his childhood. Each Coven's exam was unique, and the Witches of the North tended to do a lot of things differently than the less polar Covens. Leo had only heard a couple of stories about Callie's exams.

The Warlock gave a long huff and then nodded his head. "If you think I'm ready."

Callie handed out Amulets and addressed the group individually as Leo finished his breakfast, suddenly very anxious about his upcoming exam.

”Leo, I don’t think it would be wise to go too far away, at least until we have spoken with Zoé. Please.” Leo met Callie's eyes, looking into them intently. There was a deep worry in them, one that he had seen only a couple of times before. Callie may not have been the resident Clairvoyant, but she certainly had a sense for oncoming storms; her sense for danger rivaled Leo's.

"Okay. I think for the time being, if anyone is going to leave town, they should have at least one partner. A highly capable one." Leo turned towards Magnus and nodded. He doubted Alexis would be leaving town any time soon, especially to go on any hikes, but Magnus was a different story. Leo had no idea what the Druid would do, and Leo wanted to make it clear that leaving alone was a terrible idea.

As Callie joined the group at the table, Leo took a gulp of his orange juice and scarfed down his meal. "I want to stop by the hospital while you take Alexis to school," Leo said after he had finished swallowing. "We can meet up afterwards to talk to Zoe, but I want to make sure that the other supernaturals in the attack are okay. I'm sure Zoe is taking measures to protect them, but I doubt she can do as much as we can to get them back on their feet."

As her father led them to the Bentley, Cassandra thought about her own little VW Bug, still at the campsite, and her heart clenched. Her little bug, stuck out there in the woods. She’d brought it herself, and she couldn’t bear the thought of something happening to it. She’d have to figure out a way of getting the car back. She knew her father would rather she had a better car, a more secure one, but the bug was hers. She wasn’t going to get rid of it, and her father respected that.

Even if he did say that she was never going car shopping again. She chuckled to herself, and climbed into the car, settling back, she set the food down, and looked out the window. Following her father in the hospital, she very nearly broke into a sprint when they neared Syleste and Sebastian. Giving them, and Gage a smile, Cassie said ”I actually have some home made food...I can go heat it up” She said, relieved to see that her friends were okay, and had made it through the night.

She hurriedly disappeared, soon returning with a tray with three meals on it, heated using a microwave, she had nabbed some utensils as well, now sitting on the tray for the trio, Cassie focused on not falling over and making a fool of herself, but more importantly in not spilling the food. She placed it on the overways, leaning over after doing so to give each of them a hug, tightly, as if to reassure herself that they were all okay, if a little battered. ”how are you all?” she asked softly, looking over them once more.

Cody smiled, Aron’s happiness simply thrilled him, and for a moment, he snuggled closed against Aron, figuring that if he had a choice, then he’d stay here all day, with Aron. He knew however that he couldn’t be selfish. Maybe they could simply spend most of the day here instead. He chuckled at himself. His mirth faded as Aron began to tell him why he smelt like smoke. He frowned, looking at the photo. Cody had never had a chance to meet Aron and Gage's birth parents, and he felt that that was a major loss. Cody's thoughts went a little wild, as he thought on what he could do for Aron. And for Gage.

”Oh, Aron… He said softly, hugging Aron to him. ”We will get you some new stuff” He said, already trying to think how he could manage that. He hugged Aron close, before giving him a bright smile, ”I’m sure I would have like them too. I love you Aron. Let’s preserve the image” He said, taking out his phone, he gently took the photo from Aron, and took a photo of it.

Cody had other plans for the image, and he made sure he had a good photo, before handing it back and putting his phone away again. He didn’t think it would take him long, and Cody sat back, savoring their moments together, alone, although he knew they’d have to get moving again real soon. They really couldn’t hide away forever.

”They can’t take away your happiness, Aron. Not now. We won’t let them” He said, his voice strong. Cody would do anything to make sure Aron stayed happy. That thought was a little daunting, although he knew he would follow it through.
