Dan

Hyrule Castle- Inner City District

Dan was amazed by the spectacle of a Goron who could use lightning. It was like he didn't even do anything. Wait, could Gorons use magic? Now that led to wondering if Gorn could use magic. Something seemed off, but Dan shrugged it off. This town was full of impossibilities, so maybe it was normal. The crowds were dispersing for a lunch break, giving Dan some room to move around again. He wandered around the crowd, since it would be a while before the fighting resumed. The spectacle of fighting had him excited and even considering joining, until he reminded himself that there were Gorons everywhere. He didn't stand a chance in a fair fight, and doubted it would have gone too well. He was lost in thought as he kept walking aimlessly, not paying attention to the people he bumped into or the ones who stepped out of the way. He was stirred out of his thoughts as he smelled the same food from earlier, having been led there by it's scent. He could get some more, if no one was there. He followed the scent, having been mixed with the many food stalls, it took a while.

Dan finally found the stall and was dissapointed by the presence of two Ritos, a Zora and some human. From what he could tell, they were standing around a pile of destroyed food. This explained why the last place was empty, one of them must have been the cook. The problem was, who did it? Dan didn't like to talk much, but he was curious as he might get get something for his troubles. It wasn't that he needed food to eat at all, but the taste was delicious. If all else fails, that Goron from earlier offered something that wasn't rocks hopefully. No one seemed to be hostile around here, so he was feeling brave. He took a few steps towards the group, a lone Deku Scrub among the crowd.

"Did one of you cook this food? Is there more still?" He looked at the food as he talked to point it out, then looking back over the group of people. The very fact he was talking to a group of strangers already was draining his confidence quickly. He took a step backwards, considering if it was too late to back away. He looked like he made a mistake within moments, and was trying to avoid eye contact.

Still, Tinnun could try to cook something. Even if lunch break ends, there ought to still be someone looking for something. All she has to drop by a place to buy some more ingredients and find a kitchen.

"Did one of you cook this food? Is there more still?"

She looked over at the asker, and it seemed to be a Deku Scrub. She's some more meaner ones that would try to spit seeds at anyone passing by when the pink Rito was traveling between towns and regions, but she's willing to bet he's one of the nicer ones.
"I did cook that food. I don't have anymore, sadly, but I'm planning on finding a place to cook some more."

"I-" Krysanthia started and then immediately stopped talking when the Lady Zora tried to reassure her. Perhaps she should not be so flustered, after all nobility was everywhere in this city and probably charm came naturally to the Zora's companion. Likely he treated everyone he met with such kindness and attention, it was probably normal and she was overreacting. Still, she was particularly unused to attention beyond mention of her height or the color of her feathers, and that was in passing usually and most nobility paid her no mind at all. The experience was new to her. Realizing she was just standing there awkwardly at a loss for words she fell back on a respectful apology. "Of course, I'm sorry." She wasn't sure if she should wish them a good time, the gentleman seemed to be enjoying everything about the festival but the lady was clearly not impressed with the tournament itself. She chose to stay silent so as not to say anything that might upset either of them.

She noticed much of the crowd was dispersing, apparently this part of the tournament had concluded and everyone was taking a break before the next round of fights. At that moment a lone Deku approached the table, inquiring about the cook and the state of the food she had ruined. Though Tinnun had waved off the whole incident Krysanthia could tell she was disappointed even though the other Rito tried to put on a pleasant smile. Meeting her eyes Krysanthia gave her an apologetic look. Her attention drawn back to that issue she realized she hadn't just damaged Tinnun's business temporarily but she was responsible for disappointing several would-be customers that had come drawn by the lovely smells. She decided she had to make this right.

"I accidentally crashed into the table," she explained to the Deku after Tinnun told him she intended to make more if she could. "But I'm paying our fine chef here back for all the trouble I've caused her, and," Krysanthia took a deep breath knowing her next words would likely cost her every rupee she had left, I would like to personally pay for everyone's meals today, it's the least I could do. It was a bold statement for her but she had said the words knowing she may end up owing Tinnun even more than she had right now.

Of all the people to respond to Dan, it was the pink Rito lady. She seemed a bit distracted, trying to answer him. "I did cook that food. I don't have anymore, sadly, but I'm planning on finding a place to cook some more."

This was troubling news for Dan. He went through the entire crowd, doubling back on himself, to find this place. All of it was for nothing, and now they were looking. No one was being aggressive, maybe he was being on edge too much. "That is, too bad." He looked downward, he didn't have a plan for if there was nothing here. He was set to leave when the taller Rito stepped forward to try and talk.

The next one to speak was a Rito who was a lot more colorful. She was also so much taller, towering over Dan's already short height. She was talking a lot, most of it hastily explaining what happened, shattered dishes, and paying for it. Wait, what was that last part? "I would like to personally pay for everyone's meals today, it's the least I could do." A free meal, Dan's luck was still going strong. He didn't have any money, and didn't have to swipe it. He hopped in excitement, free food was being offered.

The new question was why so many people were at this stand. Not all of them looked like customers, which was odd. Unless they knew each other? "Are these your friends?" He tried to point with his nose to the non-Ritos, which only looked like he was just looking around. So many races in this town, it was quite an experience to be here. Times like this he was glad to be out seeing the world. When he wasn't looking around him, expecting something bad to happen.

Kibbe, Wandering Mage

Kibbe followed Nikou silently, nodding at every observation he made with wonder even though he had no idea what any of it meant. Probably important detective stuff. It was pretty smelly down here, but he had been in worse smelling places. Finally they came across two people in the sewers, definitely shady looking. Kibbe looked at Nikou with a confused expression. "Do we attack them?" Kibbe whispered as he gripped his staff tightly.

It was as he asked this that a Dodongo emerged from the sewage and began to attack the two smugglers. Kibbe narrowed his eyes, this was definitely something to attack. A circle of light began to form in the air quickly as Kibbe concentrated on his inner magic. The circle completed and a 3 spikes of ice shot towards the Dodongo. Even if they missed they would explode into flowers of ice which would hit the Dodongo if it was near the shot.

Tinnun was a bit surprised to see that Krysanthia offered to pay whatever meal the Deku wanted. It was good that the white Rito was being generous. So she's not necessarily going to complain, it's always appreciated to see some nice people out here.

"Are these your friends?"
She decided to answer first. "I've never met them, so I don't know who they are. It seems they are here for some food too, though."
Though there's always that chance Krysanthia might know who they might be, so Tinnun assumed Krysanthia would answer if she knew who they were.
"By the way, is there any particular kind of meal you would like? I'm only proficient in Rito and Hylian cuisine, and a little bit of Zora and Gerudo cuisine, so I apologize if I can't serve any dishes Deku typically have." Tinnun always had plans to learn other cuisines. She's definitely saving Goron cuisine for last, considering that stones are difficult to work with considering her current tools for cooking.

Rin's grin widened a little when Krysanthia called him 'lord,' trying his best to stop himself from laughing. "Lord Rin, huh..." He quietly mused to himself, before shaking his head a bit. He looked over at Krysanthia. She was a lot of fun. "Just Rin will do. It's the other way around. For, connoisseur that I am, I've never stood before such beauty." He said.

"Besides, I'm not a noble. You can just call me Rin." He said, his crimson eyes swivelling to the Deku. Evidently, he missed the fight. He sighed, having hoped to do some recon. In his line of work, it was quite possible he'd end up having to fight any one of the participants. He felt a bit bad for the pink Rito, however. And poor Krysynthia. He checked his robes...He wasn't exactly poor. But he couldn't offer to pay the debts of every pretty lady he encountered, either. There was one possibility, however.

"Krys...Can I call you Krys?" He asked Krysanthia. "Tell me, what's your profession?" He asked her. He looked over his shoulder at Luna. "We may well be able to get to Ordon and back before the festivities end."

Nikou - Hyrule Castle City, Main Sewers
Nikou skidded to a stop and hid behind the corner of the wall when he heard voices come from a little further down the hall of the sewer system. Peeking around, Nikou observed the two dirty men covered in what looked like rags. It looked as if they had been living amidst the sewage for months... Chances were much confirmed that one of them was the elusive 'Sewer Steve', if the name was literal at all. Their conversation about the guards also placed heavy suspicion.

It was pretty obvious at that point, but right as Nikou started to move, he noticed the water stirring before the men called out in surprise. Nikou ducked back into cover and watched the situation unfold carefully. Surprisingly, a water Dodongo slithered out from amidst the murky water, softly growling as it stepped up the ramp. How it had gotten so far upstream, or why even, was irrelevant at the moment, as it seemed to be menacingly approaching the two men, brandishing its fangs at them. Normally, Nikou would've left it alone as it wasn't attacking him, but letting it rip apart his only lead on the case was far from optimal.

"Let's go," Nikou nodded, as took his spear off his back and assumed a combat position, but before he could lunge forward, Kibbe conjured up a circle in the air, and after a brief moment, a triad of ice shards launched into the Dodongo's side. A trail of blood leaked from its scales as the ice lodged into it, and as result, the attack seemed to finally shift its attention from its prey and instead to the real threats. "Nice shot," Nikou growled. He couldn't complain about the efficacy of Kibbe's magic at this point, but he still hesitated to put much trust in a street magician like him.

Now that they had caught its attention, Nikou dashed around to the Dodongo's side and dug the blade of his lance into it as best he could. It snapped back at him quickly, pushing him away. Nikou kept its bite away with careful positioning, well-timed stabs slashing the Dodongo whenever it tried to lunge for him. "I got it busy, so do that magic thing again," Nikou called out back to Kibbe as he tried to keep up the game of keep-away with the giant lizard.

Dan

Hyrule Castle- Inner City District

So the people nearby were just other customers? Perhaps Dan was jumping the gun again. They weren't a part of anything major. Dan had to give some thought to what the pink Rito lady asked. Did he have a preferred food? He just enjoyed the taste, as he didn't need to eat. He thought for a while, trying to find the words. "Surprise me. I don't normally eat a lot." He was once again reminded that he was offered rocks to eat. How do Gorons eat rocks, it seems a bit much. This town hasn't tried to attack him at all, either he was lucky, or just too paranoid.

What caught Dan's interest was mention of Ordon. They were leaving this town for some reason. Would it be rude to tag along? No, he can check it out himself to avoid the crowds. This place was massive and it would take a while to learn the area. Tough decisions to pick from. He looked over to Rin and spoke to him. "Is something happening in Ordon? Sounds more interesting than sitting around here." Ordon should be in the west direction, at least that's what the signs said. How could he resist an excuse to find new things?

It seems the Deku doesn't seem to have anything in mind in particular. Maybe Tinnun could try to cook something she's been wanting to do for a while. Like cashew chicken. In fact, the Rito might cook that for the Deku Scrub.

Though her interest is piqued by something about Ordon. Tinnun knew she wasn't being addressed about it, but she was curious. Besides, she could buy some Cucco meat over there for the cashew chicken.

Reiji - The Disgruntled Wanderer || Lon Lon Ranch

Clear blue skies, a warm gentle breeze and the chirping of early risers painted the setting for the perfect morning for anyone submerged in nature. That was until a click of the tongue resounded and a man with a disgruntled look emerged, which was soon followed by a grumbling noise to remind the man of what was annoying him today.

“How the hell did it get away…..” The low voice clearly sounded annoyed as he mumbled.

Yesterday Reiji was planning on hunting some game for food half due to the fact his supplies started to run dry and he wanted to avoid contact with people for as long as possible, alas fate was cruel, in the late afternoon when Reiji was stalking the prey something had startled it and others around causing restlessness and in the end the wildlife bolting.

As he wandered aimlessly on the bright morning his nose started to twitch, and as any starved person would do, Reiji started to follow the scent.
Stumbling towards the scent the disgruntled man came up onto a grassy meadow, which after seeing the horses made a click of realisation that this was a ranch.

“Ah good at least this place shouldn't be crowded” With a slight sigh of relief Reiji walked (stumbled) towards the ranch.

Upon entering the proximity of the buildings a horrid realization came to mind, he had no money left either. There was only one choice now in this situation… beg….
Stumbling over to someone who seemed to work at the ranch Reiji spoke in a low voice,
“Uhhh could one spare some food?.... I have nothing to my name but I can do odd jobs…. I guess”

In no way was Reiji a people person.

The Deku hopped happily upon hearing her offer and she could not help but smile. Though she would not say so aloud for seeming disrespectful, she could not help but find the Deku to be adorable.Krysanthia shook her head, indicating this was their first meeting, following Tinnuns explanation that she, too, did not know anyone here. Perhaps it was just loneliness or upsetting recent events but she hoped they might get a chance to know one another. Well, Anaria had insisted Krysanthia at least try to make new friends, anyway. Perhaps this was a start?

Her attention once again focused in the man, Rin, as he introduced himself. She was shocked to hear him say he was not of noble blood. Even more shocking was that Rin seemed to sincerely find her attractive. Very attractive by the words he chose as if she were the one who should be mistaken for royalty. It was easier to think he was simply being polite but now she was quite beside herself. Confused, flattered, and terribly flustered she likewise found herself mortified when she just started stuttering in response to his question.
K-k-krys, i-if you want. Ah, Th-Thia sometimes. I-I guess Krysanthia Runai is a l-lot to say. In conversation." She struggled to get control of her sudden stuttering speech with little success. "I'm a serva-" She stopped talking suddenly, looking at the ground, brows knit together. Why... had she just said that? Servant? She had not been anyone's servant in months, that life was finally behind her and she was working towards a real profession now. Or at least something more than that if she chose to leave the city. So why was she still thinking of herself as if she was still little more than a house maid? Anaria would probably been ashamed to have heard her say that.

Krysanthia gathered herself again, and held herself steady. When she spoke again her voice was even, without even a hint of the stutter she had a moment ago. "I am a medic in training, with the city's military. Though, to be honest I'm not officially of any rank yet, and I have been considering leaving the city for a time. Maybe returning later to finish my formal training."

Armostos

Hyrule Castle City

Tournament Grounds
Armostos vs. Zaruud

@Sho Minazuki

As the Elimination rounds for the tournament were now under way, crowds coming back from lunch were gathering around the stages towards their favorite fighters. Armostos and his chosen adversary Zaruud began their walk into the ring. The large crowds at this stage compared to the other were no surprise considering this was a Gerudo woman, even more unsurprising was that most watching were men. She seemed to have a lot of support as they cheered for her, still among those men there were more stern-faced ones. They had the look of gamblers, and they seemed confident in Armostos' strength.

"Even under all that armor you must be a Goron, or a very fat man. In any case, I have seen your strength and am eager to test it", she began, the Gerudo woman wore the standard Gerudo garb with a tattered hood, the colours on her garb though were a bit faded, and some patched or covered with some lightweight armor. On her back was a giant curved sword, Gerudo often used regular long-sword sized scimitars, but this was unusual, one so large... This was going to be an interesting bout, two colossal blades. The battle could end very quickly, or end up taking a long time.

Armostos laughed at the top of his lungs and bowed after hearing the Gerudo woman's compliment, pretending she'd said nothing about the fat part, since he admittedly had a bit of a gut. "That's nice of you, you seem strong yourself too, perhaps we should meet up when this whole thing is over?" Raising his head after his bow, Armostos showed a confident smirk before once more pulling his helmet down over his face. Taking a single, slow step forward, he chimed; "Good luck."

"Well, I guess that's one way to ask me out,may the best fighter win", she responded. Her stance changed slightly, it seemd relaxed, but an experienced fighter would notice the few quirks that allowed it to respond quickly. As soon as the bell rung for the fight to start, the ground around her immediately swept up in dust following a silver flash. Her sword, she swung and swept up the dust around her, covering her next move. After a brief moment, already halfway through her jump she came upon the armored Goron with a somersaulting overhead slash, leaping from the dust cloud.

Armostos was ever so slightly surprised at the speed of the Gerudo woman, considering the size of her weapon, but he couldn't manage to let that shake him. As she'd been sweeping up dust, he'd just been standing there, waiting to intercept, sword still sheathed. He tried to move the shield between himself and the Gerudo's sword as she lurched at him, attempting to grab her with his still unoccupied hand afterward.

As soon as Zaruud's blade met with a shield, she immediately leaped off the back of it. It wasn't the first time her advance had been met with a proper defense. Armostos' grab reached air as she was already jumping back, and upon landing was charging right in again, starting a series of spinning attacks. Her technique was insane, fast, and kept the blade moving, using acrobatics around the heavy blade rather than making the blade move to her whim.

As his grab missed its target completely, Armostos sighed. No way it was going to be that easy after all. As he positioned his shield between the continuous assault that followed as well as he could, his free hand reached for the sword, drew it from its sheath and jumped back a little, a feeble attempt at creating some distance as expected from someone wearing such heavy armor. After his petty jump however, he positioned his zweihander in front of his shield, the tip pointing diagonally down at an approximate 30 degree angle with the ground, ready to strike at a moment's notice.

The whirling Gerudo of death inched closer with each rotation, eventually being close enough to strike, however right before that, she shifted her posture and her grip on her blade, immediately turning the horizontal swiping and converting all the momentum into a single diagonal slash. The force making her commit to the strike, but it was a powerful strike nonetheless. She seemed aware that to win, she'll need to bring a lot more power than normal.

As the Gerudo drew closer, Armostos executed a swing of his own, choosing to swing similarly diagonal over the Gerudo's blade, focusing a lot of effort into this one swing. Armostos was prepared to catch the massive blade with his body, but he wasn't willing to cut his opponent in half. Instead, he chose to turn his own blade and hit her with the side, even letting go of his shield to apply more force to his swing, all in effort to launch her off the ring with a single rough strike.

The clang of steel that followed was deafening as Zaruud felt both her blade and her body make contact. Although it was not completely against her, the force of her attack was hard to contest, even Armostos' powerful swings were staggered against it as both combatants were pushed or flung back, Zaruud much more so than Armostos who was in full heavy armor. Zaruud was far back, she was almost out of the ring from the force alone. The exchange made the crowd go wild, if Armostos was standing just a few steps ahead they might have been close enough for a ring out, but it seems Zaruud was not yet finished.

Armostos let out a loud grunt before stepping further into the ring. "Are your ribs okay? Nothing damaged beyond fixing? That was quite a blow you handed out too. But let me guess, no bowing out? Same for me, so let's do this!" Armostos doesn't have blood, but if he did, it'd be racing through the veins he'd have right now. He was getting excited, fighting a woman was usually a major turnoff for him, but this time it was different, something felt right, despite the huge slam he'd recieved. As he judged himself to be at a decent distance form the edge behind him, he once more lined up his blade across his shield.

"Thank you for worrying, but I didn't make my living fighting by going down quickly", she stated. Earlier she stuck her blade into the ground for a foothold, but now they were recovered, she kicked the blade, letting it fly into the air before catching it and heaving it over her shoulder. She created the dust storm again, swinging the blade around her and carving the ground. After a brief pause Armostos saw the giant blade, but no Gerudo, flying at him as it emerged from the dust, he was ready to brace, but it flew right past him, spinning as it did. Emerging from the dust was Zaruud herself, it seems she had more tricks up her sleeve.

Armostos smiled inside his helmet after she confirmed to be alright. He was flabbergasted to see the sword fly past him, had it headed for him he would've been in trouble blocking, but luckily it soared past. Armostos knew better than to follow it with his eyes, though. Anyone who could throw such a blade quite like that was a force to be reckoned with. As the Gerudo woman emerged from the cloud of dust she'd whipped up, Armostos waited for her to come within range of his weapon and struck at her, but halfway through his swing he let go of the sword and moved his arm faster than he should've been able to, judging from his performance before that moment. As he let go he swiftly reached for the Gerudo's wrist, attempting another grab under the guise of a slash.

Armostos would quickly notice, the blade she threw earlier... It flew right back past him again, but from behind and on the opposite side. Midway through her run, Zaruud caught the blade, spinning as she did, before delivering a slash well out of arm's reach, aiming to contest Armostos' swing.

Unburdened and surpirsed as he now was, Armostos realized there was only one thing for him to do here if he didn't want to intecept another of the Gerudo's brutal strikes. Armostos curled into a ball with surprising ease for someone so heavily clad in armor and rolled at the Gerudo in yet another offensive. It had been very clear from the blows they'd traded earlier, being forced to go defensive was less than favorable for either of them.

The Goron's armored back was uncontestable, forcing Zaruud to stagger back as her blow was soundly deflected by the Goron's hard back as he began to roll at her, she would've perfectly evaded it if she was a bit more prepared, but ended up being glanced by it and stumbling back before recovering. It seemed Armostos was now the more mobile opponent for this fight. It wasn't the first time she'd dealth with gorons either, but this was such a heavy Goron, her usual methods may not work.

As much as he disliked it, it seemed most efficient to keep rolling for now. He couldn't help but grumble in annoyance a little, however, it just didn't feel fair to him, so he rolled past his sword and stood up smoothly, grabbing his zweihander whilst ascending. Armostos took half a moment to locate the edges of the ring before quickly stepping in further again. He stabbed his zweiander into the ground right of him as he faced the Gerudo. The sword was clearly set up to be drawn quickly, but now he also had his hand empty once more.

Zaruud read the mood here, it seems the Goron had pride in his own strength, she respected this, but it seems this fight will have to end now. Zaruud charged forward after throwing her sword high into the air, before jumping after it, a spectacular aerial spinning slash coming down on Armostos. The speed of execution betrayed it's immense force. This was going to be the last exchange.

Armostos stepped forward as the Gerudo rushed at him, she was feisty, that much was certain. Armostos enjoyed feisty women, they were just more fun than the timid or bashful ones. As much as he'd started to like her, however, he could not allow her to win quite yet, he doubted she'd be the first to break his armor. With a snapping sound, Armostos' tower shield was sent flying upwards from his arm to hinder the Gerudo's strike. After having launched his shield at her he dove forwards, no longer deliberately moving slowly like before.
All he'd have to do was avoid the strike and use the moment of impact to finally properly grab her. If he could pull that off he'd only have to toss her out the ring and he'd be on to the next round.

Steel clanged as her vision was obscured for a moment, the great shield being flung by the force of her swing, however coming into contact with that lowered the force of her strike as she landed with a slightly weaker impact. The short moment her vision was obscured messed up her aim as the blade barely grazed against Armostos.

Grabbing the Gerudo woman by the scruff of her neck with one hand and her sword hand with the other, Armostos lifted the Gerudo from the ground. He braced himself and flung her out of the ring as gently as he could (though quite clearly, she'd still be in for a rough landing.) With a sigh of relief Armostos returned to his sword and pulled it out of the ground again. He raised it in the air, striking a victorious pose, before walking to the edge of the ring, back the the Gerudo woman. He once more lifted his helmet with one hand as he extended his other towards his opponent. "That fight was amazing. Especially the end was cutting it close. Maybe we should spar sometime, but before that... what about that date?"

The blooming ice magic from the Rito mage Kibbe caused the Dodongo to roar in agony. It seemed as if ice was effective against this particular beast, despite it's blue coloration, but then again coloration probably has little to do with it. It was a reptile and being cold-blooded creatures were much less resistant to such. But this made things a lot easier, the Dodongo was now more defensive, perceiving the Zora and Rito as prime threats now, it seemed unsure whether to fight or flee, but it starting to try and round around Nikkou meant it was leaning towards flee. Meanwhile the two smugglers in the back were watching with fear, they seemed to be nothing but grunts as none of them had any nerve to try and even run, clutching each other comically.

As Reiji begged Talon for food, he was rather soundly given an apple at first, as Reiji would begin to eat, it seems his offer was heard. Talon began to speak,

"Normally I would simply give a man in need some supplies to get along, I am rather well-off running this ranch so I have much to give, but if you insist, I do need help with a horse thief", he began. He looked over his field for a moment, the verdant green pastures with horses galloping and eating the grass, it was a tranquil sight, some of the part timers were doing their jobs filling the troughs or cleaning the barns as spotted from where he stood.

"Normally a horse thief isn't a problem, they get found rather quickly... But this one is... How do I put it, devlishly skilled, as in, not a single trace is left behind besides a record of the horse leaving it's stable. It's almost as if the horses had disappeared if not for that", Talon spotted the bow on the young Sheikah's person.

"But... I had only had Hyrule's guards to look into this, no skilled hunter. You are a hunter yes? Perhaps you are well suited to this job. I have some rewards of course, and if it's food you want I can offer that as well", he explained, and offered.

Nikou - Hyrule Castle City, Main Sewers
The ice attack from Kibbe seemed to slow down the dodongo quite a bit, and combined with Nikkou's spear strikes, it seemed to quickly realize how futile trying to fight would be and tried to waddle away into safety. Nikkou briefly considered letting it go so they could just move onto the criminals they were chasing already, but there were two reasons he didn't. First, there was no reason this thing should be in the sewers and there was no reason they were going to try to move it elsewhere. Second, the smugglers seemed to be legitimately afraid of the dodongo, so if they were to kill it, they could use that intimidation as victors over a beast to their advantage and get good information out of the criminals.

It is for that reason that Nikkou locked down any escape routes for the dodongo and continued attacking it, avoiding any of its bites and lashes.

Kibbe, Wandering Mage

The ice attack waa very effective and the Dodongo knew it, as it was now cautiously circling Kibbe and Nikou in its attempt to flee. That wasn't gonna happen any time soon. Another circle formed in the air as more ice spikes shot towards the Dodongo, Kibbe also noted in the back of his mind how Nikou was covering any escape routes that the Dodongo could bolt for, smart move. Kibbe didn't do the same, he wouldn't be very good as a physical wall.

It was also kinda funny how the two smugglers were holding each other in fear like that. Losers.

As everyone had done the whole introduction and settled down, Luna had sat down and was reading her book. She wasn't about to watch the tournament, she really wasn't one for something so brutish and barbaric. To be honest, she may have spaced out, if anyone said anything to Luna she would be too into her book to listen. A good shake might bring her back to reality, but she may not like it.

The crowds for the fight between Gorn and the Rito known as Kiru were not as impressive as Confitti had hoped, there were mostly gambler-types in a sparse area on his side of the arena, likely sizing up Gorn's performance and looking for wise bets, and the other side was full of... Fans? Fan girls, most of which were Rito women. Lots of them, it seems there opponent was some sort of celebrity, which was true. The Rito people had a very aesthetic-based culture, idols and prolific warriors trying to stand out among one another, like colorful birds during mating season. Their opponent in particular was sporting a navy coat with golden tips, his clothing was quite modest, it seemed like upper-class dojo garb for a swordsman, there were scant amount of decorations on it, to give it a simple flair. It was functional yet fashionable so it seemed.

"A mysteriously lightning-powered Goron... A mage perhaps? But he seems not to have the wit of one or the equipment of one...", the Rito analyzed his opponent, unable to figure out his trick, which was quite simply a lightning-wielding swordsman Minish.

"Silly grown-ups with their poor eyesight. He can't even tell that I'm his opponent! That'll be surprising..." Confliti flexed his muscles from atop Gorn's shoulder.

In any case, both competitors took their positions, and as soon as the bell was rung the battle began.

Kiru was a smart fighter, keeping his distance from Gorn for the moment, occasionally he would send out a wave of silver energy that hugged the ground from his blade, drawing it to strike the ground and execute the attack before sheathing it again. He was looking to make an opening.

Unfortunately for Kiru, Gorn had no intentions of giving him any openings. Every attack that came the goron's way was met with a sidestep, or a mighty shield. He had an agreement with his little buddy, and Gorn wasn't about to break their strategy. Defend, deflect, but let the minish attack. The duo stood strong and steady, waiting for their opponent to create his own opening. An opening Confliti could use to get on his like a determined flee.

"No intention of attacking hm?", it wasn't an option to try and flank, the hard back of the Goron made such an attempt difficult with his weapons, but Kiru did have one other option, he was the much faster foe. Even if attacking from the front or behind was a difficult task, there was always the sides.

The Rito made a grunt before his movements began to redouble, he would send out a wave, and before it would even meet with Gorn's shield he had already moved to the side to send out yet another, and this went on for a short while. He knew this may tire him out, but he wanted to figure out the Goron's secret. Normally such a defensive foe would have been crushed, on virtue of not attacking, but there was the deal with mysterious lightning. How did he do it?

Gorn tried blocking the quick Rito but felt like he was being overwhelmed. He tried a different strategy. Gorn attempted to read their opponent's movements. He was a fast Rito, but if they could figure out where he would appear they could severely weaken him with another lightning blow. Gorn yelled out,"Heads up!" He swung a huge arc with his chainball from right to left. The swing was high..a little too high. It would miss the Rito's head by a few inches. But Gorn's plan wasn't to actually hit him. It was to defend his flanks and give Confliti an opening down low. Gorn winked at his friend as he performed the manuver.

Confliti didn't need to be told twice; the two were in perfect sync. As Gorn winded up the swing the little minish had already taken up his position on the ball, grabbing hold of his guard rail for a strong grip. Wind rushed through his hair, brushing back his tail, and he traveled far faster than any minish normally was capable. Once overhead of their foe, Confliti released the ball and withdrew his sword, plummeting straight down at his target. However, he did not count on gravity to do all the work. Calling upon his minish ancestry and their connection to the elements, Confliti supercharged his body with a burst of electric speed by casting his Lightning Rush. Straight for the rito's head he dashed, sword pointed straight down.

The Rito was about to duck, but realized that the arch and swing... It wasn't going to hit him. A feint perhaps? Still, he was attacking and now may be his chance to figure out what was up. His feathers quivered, and he felt a chill all over his body, he recognized this feeling, 'danger'. He needed to move from that position. By instinct he stepped away from his spot, he moved with very little style, opting for speed over substance, as he witnessed a line of lightning for a short moment... So, the secret was the ball and chain? Interesting.

The Rito was dodging Confliti, Gorn needed a way to manuever him back into the lightning without attacking him. He took his shield and attempted to knock the Rito into the lightning of Confliti's sword.

"What the-?" Confliti exclaimed, completely missing his target. The ito had somehow sensed the danger and already moved out of the way, which meant the minish was now heading straight for solid ground at the speed of lightning. There was no way he could completely recover and rebound, not at the speed he was currently traveling, but he could soften the blow. Confliti willingly dispelled his charge, but gravity ensured his fall continued. Keeping his sword straight forward, the minish warrior took advantage of his blade striking the ground first so that he could throw his weight parallel to the ground.

Confliti tumbled, getting scuffed and bruised as he skipped inches along the ground like one would skip a stone across the pond. Once he slowed enough, he jumped back onto his feet, ready to continue the fight. He dodged despite Gorn's iron ball missing. Can he see me? No, that's not it. He probably noticed that the last guy got shocked after the ball missed him. Which means... He grinned with mischievous joy. He won't be expecting this!

Once again the minish cast his Lightning Rush spell, only this time instead of charging down from above, he shot straight for his opponent's chest, sword pointed forward. The only thing anybody should see, if anything at all, would be a small static charge lunging from the ground to the rito's sternum.

The Rito's eyes were fixed on the Goron, unbeknownst to him there was an invisible foe, but with his blade sheathed and combat feathers drawn from his wing he was ready to use a new move, but his senses rang out once again, though this time, he did not seem to already be focused on the actual threat. He looked to where his senses pointed him, but it was already too late, all he saw was a speeding blast of static energy, striking hiim off his feet as he took a direct blow, sending him flying back. the shock was enough to black out the Rito. Physical trauma he can weather, but magical? Unfortunately he had no means to protect himself from that. With that, the battle was over. The crowd went wild at the double-lightning whammy, while Kiru's fans, the Rito, wailed in anguish before medics went to retrieve the Rito for treatment.

It seems Gorn and unknown to everyone Confitti would be moving onto the semi-finals against Armostos.

Armostos

Hyrule Castle City

Tournament Grounds

@Sho Minazuki

Armostos observed "Gornfliti's" match closely, once more seeing the oddly moving lightning as it seemed to bounce onto the ground and right at the Rito. The match was over way faster than his own, contributing to the strength his opponent-to-be was rumored to possess. It was certainly odd how the lightning seemingly bounced from the ground, but that wasn't his primary concern. It was the defense the Goron had maintained while the lightning moved, that'd be hard to get past.

It seemed there would be some time before his match with "Gornfliti", so Armostos decided to head on over to a smith for some much needed repairs. He paid a good buck for the repairs. Throwing his shield had brought him victory, but the move came at a (literal) cost, as Armostos had ripped through the strap in order to be quick enough, so he had new straps put on the shield. He also had his armor checked and repaired where necessary, Zaruud's blow was bound to have done some damage. Sighing in relief as his gear was repaired in no time flat, Armostos left a tip and returned to the tournament.

Once he returned, Armostos once more polished his sword to perfection and did a few stretches (mostly for show, since he didn't really need to stretch). Now that he was all geared up and ready, Armostos was rearing to go. He was planning to win the next fight too, of course, but this time, there was a lady to motivate him even further.

Hyrule City Main Sewers

@Sen@floodtalon

The Dodongo skirted around a bit, noticing the Zora's movements were trying to stop it from running. The hail of ice magic only increased the urgency as the Dodongo decided it was all or nothing and charged the Zora, attempting to break through their formation and run. It aimed to simply body the Zora and knock it aside before making it's escape, all while jumping through a hail of ice and who knows what the Zora will do in response. It's weakened state meant this was an all or nothing, if it couldn't get away here it would consign to it's fate.

Hyrule City Plaza - Combat Tournament

@ProPro@Ryougu@Spiffy

"AMAAAAZING! Standout performances from all blocks! Armostos and Zaruud putting on a show of the power of technique against the power of strength! And the Goron Gorn continues to baffle all onlookers and opponents! Meanwhile in block B Garlain stomps his opposition within barely ten seconds and his upcoming opponent winning by a hair's breadth. Not to worry about these wonderful warriors folks, even as we speak we have Hyrule's best medics on the job to keep everyone alive and well. All entrants who have just won their rounds please take a short break before heading over for your next round in the Semi-Finals!", the announcer was as spirited as ever. Gorn and Armostos being in the same block meant they were going to be opponents now.

In any case, Block B's result seemed decided, the highlander Garlain commanded immense strength, his opponent seemed a bit daunted by what he has to deal with now, but he seemed determined to try. Meanwhile, Armostos was shortly after the match approached by the warrior Gerudo Zaruud.

"Armostos was it? Hmmm, usually I don't take a man so easily, and I'm still unsure, I've jumped the gun before and they left quickly. So tell you what, I'll travel around with you and see if luck holds", she offered.
