@EchoicChamber Heeeeeeeey, I hate to butt in here, and tell you how to run your RP, but don't you think we got a lot of people? We have almost twenty active characters at the moment. Which would be fine in a slower paced RP, but it's going to be a nightmare keeping track of all these characters. lol

@Mr Allen J You make a very good point, there. To be completely honest, I never expected the RP to be moving so quickly, haha.
I might ask people to kind of slow down on character making if it gets too out of hand, but I don't think I'll be closing character apps altogether. Certain plots in the future involve new characters being added and others dipping out, and I'm concerned about people vanishing and causing large gaps character wise.

Teachers already bringing the God Hand compels me to bring out Whisper and show off some wizened teacher magic.

On second thought about Mariana, I think I'm going to hold off on her until during orientation or a bit after. She was a late hire, so she'll pop in when the introing gets a bit less hectic, if that's alright. She's not terribly flashy, so I think she would get a bit swallowed up.

Definitely have no authority to say anything about anything seeing as I haven't even finished my intro, but since people seem a little lost on who is where in this flood of new characters and intros, and they don't wanna have to completely re-read everything (understandably, since having just read through them all, I can 10/10 confirm it is a bit overwhelming to catch up on), maybe everyone could briefly post like a single sentence summary of who and where each of the characters are and with whom they're interacting, as a reminder? Or something?

There is a lot going on to react to. People summoning big ol familiars, teachers displaying powers and blood feuding teenagers making incest insults and trying to murder each other with breakfast foods, etc. It's a lot haha. And somehow I feel like people wouldn't have missed the guy getting thrown into the food table if we were all on the same page.

Once everyone gets into the swing of interactions and familiar with the characters, and maybe if the scenes can mesh a bit, I suspect it will be easier to keep up...

Sounds like a good idea, in light of mine and Scoundrel's last post, so I'll get started myself and cover anything where my characters are directly involved:

- Professor Oren Kovalenko has entered the common room to keep an eye on students.

-Helena woke up at one of the tables in the common room on prompting from Oren, spilling cereal over the table.

- Kora arrived at the school with family (her Aunt Hilda, the acting pyromancer on the council of 8, and her husband Erik) and they had a fairly tense exchange of pleasantries with the aeromancy and combat instructor Maeve Byrne.

- Helena's struggles to clean up were noticed by Esperanza, who started helping, and currently the two are discussing blood magic.

- Oren told Dumaka to stay in the common room and insulted his intelligence.

- Kora made her way up to the common room, wherin she spotted Larke Sterling and, in light of their family feud, she screamed an old norse battle cry, pounced on him, and flung him into the food table. There, she emptied yogurt on his head, shortly before he tripped her into the same table to twist out of her grip, and started summoning up some aquamancy and making hurtful incest remarks.

- Whilst Maeve declined to interfere with this fight, Professor Montana has just set off a nullification field in the common room and stepped between the two combatants.

-Dinah has not yet arrived because Dinah half-asses everything she ever does.

ALSO Can everyone edit all your character sheets into one goddamn post? I have to scroll up and down just to find who is controlling who... Just put a single dash (like so "-" to cancel a duplicate post) please and thank you all.

As for my small little recap...

Dumaka has gotten off the bus found his way through the school to the commons and has eaten next to Dawn with a little flirting thrown in there... Then he tried to leave before orientation to drop off his bags but was turned back by Oren shrugging off her insult

I don't think my characters(Allen & Kaitlyn) need a recap since neither has done any interactions. They just showed up and are now waiting for orientation.

I'll go ahead and join in on the summarizing, if it can help people out in some way. :)

Dawn entered the common room, and was approached by Duma. Duma left after a while, leaving Dawn alone currently.

Esperanza saw Helena struggling with her mess, and helped to clean up. The bandages covering her arms were ruined through her cleaning, so she discarded them, revealing her ravaged arms. She and Helena are currently discussing Blood Magic.

Madison and Percival are not yet in the common room. Madison is still preparing things for orientation, and Percival hasn't shown up yet due to him not caring too much.

@Drazah Hey, Drazah, I'm sure you didn't mean for it to come across that way, but it read kind of rude to call Oren's insult "piss poor" OOC and call her by the wrong gender. (I'm assuming that you were referring to Duma being the one shrugging off an insult and not Oren, as you haven't responded to the Oren post yet. Please correct me if I'm wrong, though!)
Again, I'm sure you didn't mean to come across that way, so I just wanted to let you know in case you didn't notice.

@EchoicChamber it was hardly an insult 😂 literally all the kids have no idea what they are doing... She when @VitoftheVoid said they had insulted dumaka I didn't see where it added up so imo that was a very.... Well... It was just a piss poor insult *shrug* nothing insulting about it besides the truth.

For my part, I thought Oren's little dig was funny. XD

I can tell she really loves teenagers.

@Drazah Using the words "piss poor" to describe the actions of someone else's character is a tad rude, though. It's alright to have your own opinions on characters and what they do, but using that term could be somewhat offensive to the writer.

Also, to everyone, I'll be dropping an updated character dorm list on here soon, so please keep an eye out for that. :)

It's a bit arbitrary to stick an opinion on what is or isn't offensive in the truth section, and further defend that standpoint, don't you think?

Not to involve myself in a minor difference of opinion, but I thinks it's good to maintain a healthy amount respectful frivolity as we engage eachother in OOC.

Please let me know if you would like to change anything or have your character paired with someone else. I came up with the list on a dime, so I'm not too strict about how it should go, aside from the same sex pairings rule. Also, please tell me if I forgot anyone, because I have a terrible memory. ^^;

Britney, opposed to bumrushing the common room, assisted Herman who needed help with his luggage (because he's not man enough). When Erica Luxlane recognized her, and is trying to befriend her so she'll be her number two. However, something Erica said offended Britney, so that's the first snag in that plan. Herman was told to step off by Erica, and right now Britney is trying to enjoy some breakfast. Until Toby approached her.

@EchoicChamber@Magister thank you for your input. I see how this rp will proceed... I will try my best to stay out of the ooc.

Herman encountered Britney because she was nice enough to help him carry his luggage. He made a sorry attempt to look cool and it backfired, he thinks she dislikes him now, then Erica showed up and told him to get a move on to which Herman was going to bravely stand up for himself but then, of course, he didn't. He's taken his broken pride and his luggage into the kitchen where he enjoys pancakes by his lonesome.

I'll wait for people to post and react and get settled, then I'll go ahead and have Maddie kick off the presentation. c:
