NAME
Mozart, aka "Art"
Clara
Ludwig, aka "Lud"
Bach

ALIGNMENT
Lawful Good

IDENTITY
Existence is Secret

PERSONALITY
Mozart, as the oldest of his siblings, is the most patient and thoughtful of the group. He has a strong sense of honor, believing that without one’s honor they are nothing. He is a strong leader, though at times loses his sense of confidence, worrying that he is not fit to be the leader of the team. He loves human pop-culture. He loves his family more than anything in the world, and his devotion to them is paramount. His thoughtful and meditative approach allows him to tap into his chi, giving him an extra ability in battle.

APPEARANCE

ORIGIN

HERO TYPE
Acrobat/Martial Arts

POWER LEVEL
Street Level

POWERS
The frogs are a mutated, anthropomorphic frogs. The mutation that gave them their human-like forms and intelligence also enhanced their animal abilities. Art and his siblings can climb nearly any surface, jump incredible distances, have increased proportional strength, speed, agility, dexterity, and a slight healing factor. Their frog tongues can be used to both traverse the city and as a weapon unto itself. Mozart, being a Blue Poison Dart Frog, can also coat his strikes in a paralyzing poison, though using this too much will tire him out, making it a last resort.

During their youth and time at IDRG, the siblings were hard-wired and taught multiple forms of combat with the intent of making them living weapons. Mozart is a practitioner of the bo staff, his non-lethal weapon of choice after their bid for freedom.

ATTRIBUTES

Resources: Average
Weaknesses: The frogs, outside of Ludwig, have no real armor. Knives, bullets, and beatings hurt them as much as they hurt us.

When Peter Lothry was young he was a vicious youth full of anger and hatred who inflicted it on those who even looked at him slightly wrong. It was because of this that he gained a sort of infamous reputation as “the Lothry kid you do not want to cross” by everyone from his family to innocent bystanders who witnessed his temperament— a temperament that would constantly get him in trouble. However in Peter’s later years he found through trials of faith how to hone his wrath into something productive and focus onto those who would do wrong to others. It is with that in mind that he seeks to become a spirit of vengeance and retribution as he looks to redeem himself for his family’s sins at any cost. To say Peter is zealous is an understatement. However, Peter in his current mindset is patient and determined rather than impulsive and brash. It is with conviction due to his training as a religious monk that he believes that there is no room for error, no room for failure, and no room for emotional exuberance. Peter still reflects sadly on his past and goes forward trying to do things right and correct wrongs by not only his mission against his family but by the wrongs of thieves, murderers, and psychopaths. In this way his personality can be seen as one that is sympathetic, just, zealous, and patient.

O R I G I N
Born the son of Francis Lothry, the patriarch of the Lothry Crime Family, Peter had an abrasive life in store for his future and despite his mother’s strong faith that led to a religious upbringing it would be a long time before Peter truly accepted god and become the hero he has become. Generally speaking, for the majority of his life, Francis was born with a silver spoon in his mouth while his father controlled a variety of businesses through his criminal connections and more legitimate control of the majority of the shipping and industrial infrastructure of the ports of Grant City. This allowed Peter to have a wide range of opportunities and found himself actively dealing with harassment in school from his more pompous classmates who while also cut from a silver spoon considered themselves untouchable even with Peter’s father being who he was— a fact that was slightly true as his father valued business over family. But that didn’t stop Peter from punching people who crossed him in the teeth.

A habit that consistently got him into a lot of trouble and various lectures throughout elementary school, middle school, and high school. Earning a reputation as “The Battling Bruiser” by his senior year, he became somewhat of a minor celebrity to the paparazzi, his fellow classmates, and his enemies. A reputation that he’d take with him as his father’s underboss, Rupert Blodis, took him under his wing to “use that anger productively in a proper workplace”. This would be around the time Peter went off to university for his business & engineering degrees to show that he wasn’t just a mindless brawler to the public and his mother. But despite that he juggled school and “work”.

However, lines were drawn in the sand and eventually he was made to make a decision he didn’t want to do and people he grew to care about found themselves killed; angry he confronts Rupert about the conflictions to the point the older man announces that he is a “failed” Lothry and lets him know that the test was sanctioned by his own father to see if he had what it takes to be a real associate of the family— a test that Peter had failed. He is tossed into a car trunk in a junkyard. But his destiny is not to die like a trapped animal, evidently— a fact he learns when he wakes up to not the afterlife… but the appearance of a church. It is explained to him that someone had found him beaten and bruised outside of the local junkyard and that the clergy had taken him in to recover. Peter thinks back to his mother’s teachings and leaves Grant City following the experience and journeys to find himself. He winds up in northern Georgia, and begins studying at a monastery. A monastery that would shape him into a weapon of god.

He has now returned to Grant City under an assumed name. He has plans.

T A L E N T S
Peter Lothry does not have any powers, but on the off-hand he is extremely skilled and conditioned. Throughout his life Peter has been taught many skills and techniques. Starting as a young upstart son of a mob boss Peter was taught the basic skills of a member of an organized crime cartel which included firearms, lockpicking, driving, and the knowledge of how the organization works. When that life ended he soon found himself honing his body and mind which led to mastering several martial arts, sculpting his body into a perfect weapon, mastering parkour and free range acrobatics, memorizing religious scriptures, and putting his business and engineering savvy mind to good use.

P E R S O N A L I T Y
Marcus Huxley is inspired in part by characters that follow the "awkward nerd" trope and as such is a mess: he's awkward, extremely nervous, easily excitable, a little bit naive, and leaps without thinking. Adding that in, Marcus wants to do the mystical stuff and doesn't see it as a huge weight on his shoulders as he never has had a character to tout responsibility over him. Marcus is a good kid at heart with more power than he realizes he should be comprehending.

O R I G I N
Marcus Huxley grew up in Brooksdale, one of NYC's many suburban midtowns in the metropolitan area. Growing up in the sprawling suburban area had a definite effect on him and he was teased or ignored by his peers depending on their gender. Marcus has been called a geek and loser for the majority of his life and his interest in urban mysteries has always sort of alienated him from others. When high school was over Marcus immediately set his sights on college, quickly quitting his steady job at the local movie theater to set his sights on the big city. With his grades set, Marcus found himself accepted into a Community College and found a second dilemma in his freshmen year: he needed a steady job. After several weeks of looking he came across an antiques shop not too far from the college he went to and decided that it would be a good place to start looking; though Marcus’ gut feeling of wanting to check out the store had been apparent before due to his taste in urban mysteries and the knacks people always seem to forget about.

This is where he began to work for an old welsh man who eventually revealed to him that he had been chosen—chosen as his apprentice. Marcus panicked but ultimately after witnessing the old man’s vigor and power realized he had either gone crazy or all of the tales and legends had been true after all of this time. Confiding in Merlin he ecstatically obeys this apprenticeship and honestly he felt like he could really use the money from working at the store as well. So the birth of Merlin’s Apprentice became so and over the next year he studied without application, until he found himself becoming inspired by crime-fighters. The debut of “The Mage” was as tacky as a name as it was; Michelle Kinney of The Informant had begun to report on the appearances of the superhero. In this time however, everything seemed to go downhill as his own nameless nemesis watched from the shadows as Marcus' relationship with Roxie begins to grow...

T A L E N T S
Marcus Huxley by all accounts should be a normal kid studying the geopolitics of sixteenth century Europe, but unfortunately he’s been gifted with knowledge of the arcane stream. Unbeknownst to Marcus he is one of several people in the world with a connection to the stream, a natural connection and it is important for him to take on the responsibilities of the realm of magic. Marcus can create arcane bolts and fields, levitate, absorb and redirect other energy, and even teleport. All of which takes massive focus and strain so he's not going to be nightcrawler or anything. Marcus is by all standings a pretty low level mage and street level hero that could become a lot more given happenstance of his life and how it is changing. His power is varied and scattered over hundreds of applications of the arcane stream and he doesn’t quite understand it.

C A S T
Merlin (Prime Dimension): Known by many names throughout history such as Rabbi Judah of Prague and St. Cyprian of Antioch, Merlin is the oldest known sorcerer among the Prime Dimension of Earth. Mastering aspects of the arcane, supernatural, paranormal, and cosmic leaves him as the most powerful magic user on the planet though even with the power at his disposal how long this will be so is unknown due to the fragility that has come with his extremely old age. Merlin has taken Marcus under his wing as his “last” apprentice in fear that his last breath will be soon; a death that if he has no successor will endanger the world.

Roxanne “Roxy” O’Hara: Marcus’ closest friend in Grant City and unbeknownst to him the descendent of Morgan le Fay. Roxanne is attracted to all things occult and during Marcus’ first year as a superhero was caught in the middle of several encounters that put her in harm’s way. She identifies as “welsh pagan” though she is far smarter than her punk rock sensibilities and occultism lets on.

Richard Davis:

Michelle Kinney: An investigative reporter, journalist, and editor of The Informant— a news outlet that reports on a variety of issues including Grant City’s insidious criminal activity and the heroes who work to clean up the city.

Create a Hero RPG Application

Character you have created: Amanda Allen-James

Alias: Slipstream

Speech Color (Actually say what you're using, don't go "Like this", or what not): N/A

Character Alignment: Hero

Identity: Secret

Character Personality (Give information on how your character acts, what he/she believes in, how they handle situations): To say that Amanda Allen-James is a free spirit is a major understatement. Aside from her tattoos and ever-changing hair styles, she was a woman who lived life to the fullest every day, and never really conformed to the status quo. Amanda was one of those rare people who had an effect on everyone she meets. She has the ability to make anyone feel like they are the most important person in her life at any given moment. No matter what was going on in her life, she always put others’ needs ahead of her own. Even before she gained her powers, Amanda was always looking out for others by taking up various causes that were important to her.

After graduating from college, she left her home city of Boston to pursue her own version of the American Dream in Pacific Point, California.

Uniform/costume: Briefly describe or post a picture of what your character's costume looks like

When in costume:

Minus the headgear, she also wears a domino style mask to cover her eyes, a purple wig and her costume covers her midriff with a silver colored fabric.

Out of costume:

Origin Info/Details: After graduating from college, Amanda Allen-James left her hometown of Boston, Massachusetts for the excitement and sunshine of Pacific Point, California. Not long after moving across the country, Amanda discovered a love for photography, and with her trusty camera she began teaching herself the art. Soon, it was clear that she had a true eye for a great photo, and began her own photography business. She also had a great love for all kinds of music, however she really enjoyed both Electronic Dance Music, as well as just about anything that came out of the 80’s. While in Pacific Point, she was able to combine her two great loves, and began traveling to raves and nightclubs, doing photographic promotional work for both the event organizers as well as the DJ’s themselves.

One night in Los Angeles while photographing such an event, her life changed forever. Amanda had decided to take a break from photographing the rave. She stepped outside of Club Oceanside into the cool spring night, which she found to be a refreshing change from the stuffy confines of the dance floor. However, after a few minutes, she knew that something wasn’t right. She watched the skyline, and saw a luminous green dome forming overhead. From what she could tell, the dome covered the entire city.

The dome stood over the city for what seemed to be an eternity. Eventually, Amanda learned that the domes were the creation of a mad scientist who called himself Dr. Diplodoc. The mad doctor’s plan was combat the rising threat posed by metahumans, by turning every human on Earth into one. Finally, a group of heroes stopped the doctor and his minions, and the domes encircled a number of American cities, fell.

For days after the fall of the domes, stories spread of people who had been trapped within the domes developing strange powers. Some people were even mutated to the point that they took on animalistic traits, some to the point that the affected no longer looked human. However, Amanda felt no such change. She did not grow claws or fangs, and she didn’t display any sort of powers or abilities. She had, it seemed, been one of the lucky ones who had not been affected by the gene altering domes.

As days turned into weeks, Amanda, much like the rest of the world went about her life, the trauma caused by the domes though not forgotten, chalked up to the reality of a new world populated by gods and monsters. That is, until it all changed again. It was a sunny afternoon in Pacific Point, and Amanda had gone for an afternoon stroll with her roommate Izzy and her friend Gemma in Huntington Park. She like she often did, she brought her camera along and would snap a picture whenever something caught her eye. As they walked along the walkway at the edge of the park, she noticed an old man with a walker struggling to get around a pothole that had formed in the walkway near the entrance to the park. Then she heard screams.

A bright yellow Hummer had jumped the curb and was speeding out of control, and it was heading straight toward the old man. Amanda yelled at the man to get out of the way, but even if he had heard her, there was simply no way that he would have been able to get out of the vehicle’s path in time. Without thinking, she began running toward the man. However, something was strange. To Amanda, it seemed like everything around her had been frozen in place while she was free to move about unfettered. She ran toward the old man, grabbed him and ran with him several hundred yards, placing him down safely well out of the Hummer’s path, and then raced back to Izzy and Gemma.

When it was all said and done, the feat had occurred in a blink of the eye, and neither Izzy nor Gemma were aware that Amanda had ever left their side. Amanda’s rescue of the old man had been exhilarating, and from that moment on, she would begin testing her new abilities. She had always been someone that wanted to help others, and now she had a way to do so in a more direct way than she had ever thought possible.

Hero Type (Select one): Speedster

Character you have created:
Unknown

Alias:
The Wanderer
The Psionic Warrior
The Mutant (this is more derogatory than alias)

Speech Color:
Steel Blue #4682b4

Character Alignment:

Hero

Identity:
Unknown, but he doesn’t care if it’s revealed

Character Personality:
The Wanderer is a driven individual, focused on completing a task. He might give off an air of callousness to those that he meets, but he is good intentioned and his history of the Wastelands has forced him to be as such.

Uniform/costume:
Full uniform, barring the helmet:
i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media/image/up…

Facialal appearance (still unsure, look up Dwight from The Walking Dead):
images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/image…

The Wanderer (without the helmet shown in the image) has an oval-shaped face, with a roughly cut facial hair around his jaw and upper lip. His left eye is a dark, sapphire blue hue set in deep-set eye sockets. He has a broken-shaped nose, the cartilage that forms the nose jutting towards the right of his face. While on an ordinary face the nose would stand out, but the right side of his face, starting on a line just above the end of the lobe of the ear up towards the middle of his head passing past the bridge of the nose and across the eye, is a horrific burn mark. The muscles line from the center of his face all the way back to the other end of the mark, where hair started to grow over it from behind the rear ear line.

The Wanderer’s uniform was hastily put together to be efficient to survive the Wastelands. His long, brown leather greatcoat is lined on the inside with pockets to hold moon clips and the little amount of food to be found while trying to survive. As he frequently encounters raiders, commonly armed with bladed weapons as firearms or ranged weapons were rare to come across, he wears a black Kevlar chestplate that is capable of stopping the slashing motions of bladed weapons, though he uses his psionics to avoid piercing weapons and can still give way to slash attacks of superstrong ‘super mutants’. The metal lower arm guards and gauntlets are also used to protect his arms as these are usually the limbs closest to those weapons. He wears a black courier satchel around his shoulder to carry important objects. As to not limit his mobility when not using his psionics, he wears very worn out jeans and hiking boots.

Origin Info/Details:
The man that would become The Wanderer was born in a time set beyond 200 years from the present day (of the RP). Long before his birth, he planet had been subjected to something that caused all the lands to become a barren wasteland and all the oceans to be nearly dried up. No one in the future could tell you how the future ended up as it is now, but the nuclear radiation plus the various strands of invisible energy, capable of ripping beings apart. His mother, a self-taught medic, and father, a mechanic/inventor, were ordinary humans that lived in a bunker in what is now Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Throughout his life, he was taught on how to live in this wasteland, much like the other children. Most of the children he trained and scavenged with died due to the radiation or the various mutants that lived in the wasteland.

During his late teens, he was out scavenging when a band of mutants found the bunker. While few people did survive the bunker, which included his father, his mother had been taken. When he returned and learnt of this, he began to hunt for the mutants that had taken his mother. When he did find them, they had already damaged her beyond any medical capabilities and had done unspeakable things. So much so that when he found her, she asked him to put her out of her misery. He initially didn’t as he began hunting the mutants on the compound. During this, an energy burst ripped through the facility that they were in, nuclear flames scorching the side of his face and leaving all presumably dead. However, the unknown man survived and dragged his way back to the bunker, where he was treated.

As he got better, he learnt that along with the scar and the change in his eye that he is capable of bending the mysterious force, as well as him becoming a mutant with super strength and endurance. Though he still was himself, the people of the bunker wanted to be safe and kept him on the outside of the bunker alone, only to return to the bunker when his abilities are certain to be under his control. Training himself to using this as well as learning from other, friendlier mutants who are capable of using the mysterious force, known as psionic energy. During this training, he learnt that there were possible key events that would lead to the existence that they lived in. Relaying this to his father, he waited for a machine that was capable of transporting people back in time to ‘correct’ these mistakes. He waited a long time for the machine to work and to erase the miserable existence of the Wasteland.

Hero Type:
Muscle/Psychic

Power Level:
World

Powers:

Indomitable Will (Passive)
His time in the wasteland means that he has seen things that had rendered any human insane. However, he always seemed unfazed at them. His mind always powers through problems and in doing so, he has developed a very strong willpower that makes him highly resistant to mind control and any psionic that tries to lay waste to his mind.

Genetic Mutation
Due to living in a desolate, nuclear-irradiated future, The Wanderer has been exposed to enough radiation that he has gained mutations that has some benefits that allows him to excel in certain cases over the average human being. While mutations varies between the different mutants, The Wanderer has gained the following mutations:

--Enhanced Strength (Passive)
The radiation that has seeped into his muscles has enabled him to show feats of strength far greater than those of a similar build. This is because the radiation has mutated each fiber in his muscles to store at least 10x more energy when the muscle is tensed. Though he is more adapted to his psionic abilities, his strength is a good fall back in case someone gets an upper hand.

--Enhanced Endurance (Passive)
Because his muscles are mutated, the muscles also show a stronger resilience to fatigue, allowing him to carry out tasks for longer periods of time. That is a trait that has helped him survive the wastelands of the future.

--Psionic Sight (Passive)
While his psionics are controlled by his nervous system, his right eye has been hit by a large dose of psionic radiation (one of the types of radiation present in the future). While it has the appearance of being a blind eye (milky & glazed over in appearance), he can ‘see’ out of it. While it is not the sight that everyone has, the eye is capable of seeing psionic radiation, though it appears in shadowy forms of varying shades of purple (closest idea in mind is like Daredevil’s sight in the Netflix series). The stronger the psionic radiation, the ‘brighter’ it appears in his eye.

Psionic Manipulation
While the radiations have given him physical capabilities, The Wanderer’s greatest strength is in his abilities to use psionics (a reason why he is called the Psionic Warrior). His nervous system has been greatly mutated to emit strong psionic radiation, strong enough to manifest itself into solid objects. Even when it is not in use, the vast energies stored inside does ‘vent’ out of him, projecting a psionic aura around him for others with psionic abilities to sense. Over the course of his survival, he has learnt and trained his psionics to do the following feats:

--Psionic Detection (Passive)
Alongside his psionic eye, he is capable of picking up traces of excessive psionic usage and any presence of psionic-capable beings.

--Psionic Aura (Passive)
The Wanderer creates such a quantity of psionic energy that for those who are attuned can detect him from a large distance away. This is an ability that he cannot control, but one of the benefits is that the area is illuminated in the dark (5m is the maximum that this reaches).

--Psionic Beam (Active)
Using his psionic aura, he is capable of projecting beams of energy, the beam having purple hue in the air. This has a force capable of punching a hole through steel.

--Psionic Explosions (Active)
With his psionic blasts, The Wanderer is capable of detonating them into huge explosions, capable of levelling buildings.

--Phase-Jumping (Active)
When he is in need of getting from place to place, The Wanderer is able to use his psionic energy to phase from one place to another that is within sight. In order for him to do this, none of his active abilities should be active.

--Psionic Combat (Active)
While he is untrained in physical combat, he is adept at infusing his limbs with his psionics, making them appear harder than they normally are. His punches have miniature psionic shockwaves, making them more powerful on top of the enhanced strength he already has.

--Psionic Nemesis (Active)
During his time being pursued by other psionic mutants and getting his mind violated, The Wanderer has gained the ability in which he can create a psionic feedback that intends to hurt those who try to use psionics against his mind. However, he is capable of amplifying the psychic energy entering his mind well beyond his means by draining the psionic energy from his attacker. In order for him to use this ability, he must have eye contact with his attacker with his psionic eye.

--Psionic Blade Creation (Active)
While he was getting attuned to his new abilities, his first application of psionics is generating a blade. He has now mastered this ability to create any form of blade he wishes to use without too much thought, the ability honed down to the smallest muscle movements in his muscle memory. The blade length can vary in length and width almost indefinitely.

--Psionic Force-Field Generation (Active)
This is the second ability that he has trained himself in. He can generate psionic barriers that are nigh-impenetrable barring any cosmological beings and any embodiments of psionic energy. This shield can also vary in size and has been used to hold injuries in place until they are healed.

Attributes:

Height: 180cm
Weight: 85kg
Strength Level: 5x Human (50 tons when imbued with psionics via Psionic Combat [currently])
Speed/Reaction Timing Level: Human (50 MPH when imbued with psionics via Psionic Combat[currently])
Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort: 5 hours
Agility: Normal (10x when imbued with psionics via Psionic Combat [currently])
Intelligence: Between Average and Genius
Fighting Skill: Highly trained in psionics, untrained in CQC and ranged

Resources:
Limited. He has a revolver with a scope and a strapped-on laser pointer.

Weaknesses:
While The Wanderer has gained super-strength and endurance from his mutations, he did not gain the durability that can come with it. Therefore, he is able to be injured by anything like a human. A byproduct of him being weaker is that if he enters a near-dying state, his willpower becomes weaker and can become more influenced by psionic attacks to his mind and background psionics (Note, however, that this state can make him more dangerous as he can act as a conduit for the background psionic energy and augment his powers tenfold, though this can kill him if prolonged use). With his knowledge in psionics, he does not have the concentration to throw up more than two of his abilities at the same time (i.e. he is unable to throw up three Psionic Barriers at the same time).

Supporting Characters-:
Anyone that he had cared for are either dead or were left behind, both cases in the future. But for reference:
Mother (Deceased)
Father
Dwellers of the bunker

Entity you have created:
Unknown

Alias:
The Psionic Nexus

Speech Color:
Medium Purple, #9370DB, all in italics

Character Alignment:

Walking the Line

Identity:
Known by psionic/psychic users

Character Personality:
The Nexus seems to have a neutral, eerily calm personality. Despite many galactic beings not showing a great deal of friendliness due to its creation, it remains cool and diplomatic everyone, especially those it wants to become its avatars. However, if push came to shove, it can have an explosive anger and shows a high degree of vindictiveness to those that offended it.

Uniform/costume:
While the extent of Psion is unknown, it can be seen speeding through the universe:
Cosmic Trail

When it is visiting a planet, it takes on a common wolf form:

Origin Info/Details:
Thousands of millions of years ago, when the universe was still young, there was a lone planet. While life in the universe was a new thing and the concept of spacefaring was long away, this planet had a unified, tribal species of humanoid beings. They were able to speak in their own language, had a culture advanced enough that there were objects capable of looking at the stars, their religions and were capable of tapping into a mysterious force that allowed them to achieve many feats. During the first set of uses, the sight of different nebulae were thought to be deities of immense power and were thought to be capable of creating and destroying buildings (they weren’t too far off from the truth). In order to appease these beings and to not allow the planet to be destroyed, they sacrificed one of their own that is capable of using the force the best, which seemed counterintuitive. Through this, they formed their own ritual and it seemed to appease them.

Unbeknownst to them, an unknown cosmic deity, facing eternal hunger, was encroaching the planet. As the planet was on the verge of being consumed, the people of the planet were by chance were sacrificing a young boy, capable of using the force unlike anything that was seen before. While the consumption of the planet would be the end of the story, something happened. As if by the whole universe aligning with the text, the planet was not just consumed. As the sacrifice happened, the mysterious force forced itself into the boy and absorbed the energy of the people, the planet’s destruction. The cosmic being that consumed the planet was also consumed through this force, wiping everything from existence in that particular area of the universe. In place of the planet, a small, glowing creature had formed. The mysterious force had manifested itself from the cosmic being’s life force and created a creature that was in the sacrificed boy’s mind. As the creature carried own with its own life, trying to come to grips with what has happened, the juvenile mind of the boy aged with the years of experience and became the being it is now.

Hero Type:
Psychic/Energy (Cosmic entity)

Power Level:
Cosmic

Powers (Be Specific):
-Psionic Entity
By contrast to other cosmic entities, Psion is a creature made of pure psionic energy, which is generated by the force of life that flows throughout the universe. It can create any figure from this energy to fill its needs. Being such an entity, it is capable of using psionic energies of limitless power. As a result, as well, it is immune to physical attacks.

--Absolute Psionic Power
As a byproduct of being a psionic entity, the Psionic Nexus is able to control all forms of psionic energy, enabling it to perform many impressive feats such as creating barriers, creating unlimited numbers of constructs as well as many offensive beams and blasts. The energies that it uses is powerful enough to destroy planets and any material at the sub-atomic level if it wanted, but it sees no need in using the full range of its powers.

--Psionic Bestowal/Erasure
This is The Psionic Nexus’ calling card. Once it sees a being that has potential, it can grant them a fraction of its powers and abilities to the being, becoming one of its ‘avatars’, the strength of the bestowed powers a fraction of its true strength which, depending on the person, can cause instabilities in the avatar’s planet over long durations of use/conflict. The effects of this are usually permanent. Likewise, if the avatar becomes hostile to it in its presence, it is capable of removing that power away from them, often painfully as punishment.

-Cosmic senses
As psionic energies persist throughout the universe, The Nexus is able to sense everything as it travels through the universe. Through this is it able to decide on where to go for potential avatars

-Cosmic Telepathy
To sense and communicate with living beings throughout the universe, Psion is capable of communicating with beings (more commonly its avatars) throughout the universe.

-Cosmic Teleportation
As it needs to travel from one place to another, The Nexus is capable of teleporting itself and other beings across vast distances through space, possibly through wormholes but no one can recall how it does the teleport.

-Life Embodiment
As a by-product of its creation, The Nexus has the ability of controlling life-force energy, giving, extending or taking life away from living beings. These abilities, although very powerful, are rarely used by the Nexus as it handles all of its tasks with its psionic energies.

-Immortality
The vastness of psionic energies being generated in the universe means that The Psionic Nexus is can replenish itself indefinitely to the point where it can regenerate itself and never age.

-Possession
If a being has been encountered that has the potential, The Psionic Nexus is capable of possessing the being. This being is the incarnate of the Nexus’s original form albeit with all of the strength of its cosmic form. The psionics from the being, though has been immeasurable, are capable of ripping solar systems apart. However, there has been no being capable of being possessed as the candidates used before have disintegrated into nothing from the sheer strength of the universe’s psionics.

Attributes:
Strength Level: Unknown
Speed/Reaction Timing Level: Unknown, though can travel through the universe at superluminal speeds.
Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort: Unlimited
Agility: 20x +
Intelligence: Super-Genius
Fighting Skill: Untrained

Resources:
As a cosmic entity of psionic energy, it doesn’t need any resources.

Weaknesses:
Though many beings have faced The Psionic Nexus in combat, there has not been any weaknesses shown to damage it. However, with its form being of pure psionic energy, it is unable to cause physical damage to its opponents.

Supporting Characters:
While there are thousands of The Psionic Nexus’s avatars throughout the universe, there are currently none on the planet that the inhabitants call Earth.

Character you have created: ?
Alias: Avatar
Speech Color (Actually say what you're using):
When speaking through a droid- Code
Real voice- #cc9900

Character Alignment: Villain
Identity: Secret
Character Personality:

When in a casual setting, any who encounter his Avatar would find an honorable and sharp minded individual despite his appearance. The mind behind the droid is easily at home with each move, gesture and more being graceful and precise in movement. Well practiced over years that with surprising ease, he can perform the most delicate actions without damaging fragile items. An accent is impossible to make out through his mechanical voice but his mannerisms mimic that of Asian origins with a polite bow on first meeting, especially with those he respects.

Uniform/costume:

Unlike most villains, Avatar would never put himself in the line of combat personally. Currently he’s only got one droid but as he encounter challenges and opposition, his machines will grow over time. (Added at GM’s approval)Since the machine is his ability to interact with the world from a safe distance, Avatar has made every advancement to prevent it from being able to be hacked or manipulated. Including creating a very usual programming that functions on the same levels as a human brain, without the reasoning until he downloads his own. Many hackers of any skill would notice it’s oddity and difficulty in hacking almost immediately, their hacks hindering key features but failing in tracking, hijacking, or similar types of sabotage.

Model 1

Origin Info/Details:

Very little is known about Avatar, his past and location well guarded secrets. So guarded in fact, any attempts to fish or jack them will result in gaining his immediate attention instead. There has been few brave enough to cross him for fear of receiving a unwelcome visit and sudden vanish. Any that have managed to cross Avatar twice, often never live to do it a third time. They have fallen ill to a series of accidents ranging from car crashes to gas explosions, none naturally leading back to him naturally. Though officially he hasn’t shown up within Pacific Point until the last week or so, it’s obvious he isn’t a stranger to crime or how it works. However, his antics seem more getting his name out there than actually for profit. He’s mysteriously been able to replace his droids with newer and improved designs, his funds untraceable.

Hero Type (Select one): Other-Machinist/Inventor
Power Level (Select one below): City
Powers (Be Specific):

Each suit is different in their power sets, currently more will be added as the IC goes on and after GM approval. In addition, suits will improve and change as they become destroyed.

Denki jiko

Features

Exoskeleton- Outside Casing

The exoskeleton is not designed to take a beating, unlike other models because it is designed for speed and agility. This means lighter density and quicker movements to get more strikes in to end a fight quicker.

Electromagnetic Recharge-Located within Storage Unit

Using specialized coils and frequencies, Avatar is able to absorb energy from various sources via wireless method. Powerlines, lightning and even solar energy can be used to energize the droid whenever power is running at about 40% efficiently. This prevents him from having to return to a nearby recharge location in order to replenish the loss energy.

Storage Unit- Located on the back

The storage unit can retain and store enough energy to properly function for weeks when in casual mode. However, during combat that energy can quickly evaporate requiring the Electromagnetic Recharge to refill it. This unit then change nearly any energy type that’s absorbed by the recharge into clean, suitable energy for use within 10 seconds to an hour.

Electrical Touch

Casting Time: 2-3 seconds (1 second to charge it up, then 1-2 to release)
Range: Close Quarter Combat
Duration: 6+ seconds *
Description: Avatar laced his droid with numerous current lines and when activated, they come alive with electrical energy. Due to the nature of the droid, the currents have little to no effect over its systems and instead charges the whole droid with about 50,000 watts at 26 volts per second. This acts like a taser on touch, releasing the electrical energy in short bursts at a time.

*Through it could last indefinitely, the longer the ability is on then the more power that is discharged. This takes a toll on the storage unit’s reserves over time making the output>intake energy wise. So Avatar often uses this in burst, allowing a recharge state if he’s used this for extended periods (18 seconds| 3 posts or longer).

Enhanced Speed

Casting Time: 3-4 seconds
Range: 64+ mph
Duration: 6 seconds
Description: Collecting energy in the legs, Avatar can increase his speed for a limited time to match that of a cheetah. This ability can enhance his own reflexes and reaction speed to that of 5x of a human. These are used in bursts, requiring a cool down period or risk the metal joints and carbon fiber muscles getting worn down.

Electrical Disruption

Casting Time: 6 seconds
Range: 10 meters (30 feet) in radius all the way around
Duration: 3 seconds to finish, up to 30 minutes lasting effect
Description: Avatar buildings and collects focused energy into the palms, then smacks them together. The energy erupts violently into the surroundings creating a ripple effect. This emits both an EMP blast, knocking out all electrical devices within range, and a vibration (from violently clashing protons and neutrons) that knocks anything nearby away several feet. The power is strong enough to be comparative to half a stick of dynamite.

Electrical Shots

Casting Time: 2-3 seconds for each shot
Range: long
Duration: 6 seconds either on contact or on location it hit
Description: Condensing and focusing electrical energy into his palm, Avatar can create small electrical bombs that can go off on impact and electrocute his target. Each shot has the same wattage and voltage to his Electrical Touch, showing he’s out to be lethal. However, if the bomb should miss it will temporary electrify a small yard radius area circle where it landed. This area will remain charge for about 6 seconds before dying out.

The shot can reach up to that of an arrow or tossed grenade, but hitting is another matter. Fast moving objects are difficult to hit if they move quicker than the human eye and just because it is thrown doesn’t mean it can’t be cleared in time.

Attributes (Select one at each category):
Denki jiko

Height: 5’6”
Weight: 167 lbs
Strength Level: 2x Human
Speed/Reaction Timing Level: Human-5x Human
Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort: Unknown, he’s usually ends a fight rather quickly
Agility: x 5 Human
Intelligence: Average- Borderline Genius
Fighting Skill: Adeptly Trained

Resources: Unknown

Weaknesses:

Exoskeleton- While a normal human might not be able to make a dent with their bare hands, continual abuse will slowly take its toll from weapons and even bullets fired at a rapid pace could cause serious damage. In addition, the exoskeleton is only protected from the normal weathering conditions (such as heavy rain, limited hail, and sun) and electric type attacks. This means odd elemental like fire, ice, etc can deteriorate the outside faster.

Recharge- Depending on the source of the energy, the droid could be replenished fast or slow. Pure sources of energy like power lines, lighting, and more can produce rapid amounts and can boost the droid to max in a minute (less time through physical contact) over time. Sources with low power flow like vehicles and even solar energy will take closer to an hour to fully charge, forcing caution over consuming too much at once.

Storage Unit- can only retain and use so much at one time and while it’s large, it’s not limitless. Depending on the source it’s draining from then the output could be greater than its intake. If too much energy is used at once, this could result in the droid being unable to function or defend itself. While Avatar has put in a safety measure to ensure the prior does not happen, he still needs to be cautious over how often he fights or for how long.

Supporting Characters (Does your character have a significant other? A mother? Friend? Who are they, what do they have to do with your character?):

Unknown

Character you have created: Dr. David Anderson Jones

Alias: Terra Firma

Speech Color: Hero Time: ed1c24 Human: Normal/White

Character Alignment: Hero

Identity: Secret

Character Personality: David is a patient, focused person, qualities driven into him by his long years studying archaeology, along with raising his daughter. At most times David tries fashion himself as a playful, talkative person who loves to prank others. Although he tries his best to seem ever joyful on the outside, he worries intensely about those closest to him. He drives his friends up the walls sometimes with his antics, but he likes to think they love him anyways, and their continued presence confirms it.

Uniform/costume:

Origin Info/Details:

Hero Type (Select one): Elemental (?)

Power Level (Select one below): World Level (With Cosmic Level potential)

Powers (Be Specific):
PyroKinesis: David can generate his own super heated plasma, along with using raw geothermal energy from the Earth and nearby heat from the sun to help add to his own attacks. With this energy he can simply shoot it, or he can shape, and expel it in a variety of ways. He can even control flames outside his body, to draw in to use with his own flames, or to enhance an attack.

Lightning Kinesis: David can create or choose to manipulate Earth's own EM field by using his own ability over gravity to focus and bend electromagnetic waves into extremely high voltage electromagnetic energy for his use. David's control over lighting means he can form and control this energy in any fashion of his choosing, much like his Pyrokinesis.

Pseudo-Cryokinesis: If allowed enough time to absorb enough nearby heat David can chill the nearby area to freezing temperatures, enough to form ice even. But to do this effectively at his current skill level he must maintain physical contact with his target.

Gravitic Emulation: Having been granted a portion of Earth's power David also has some control over gravity. Although he is unable to control the level of gravity others feel he can alter the gravity in his close vicinity. Meaning he can add mass to incoming projectiles or other's fists at close range, allowing him to slow these attacks down and lessen their damage. Along with physical attacks, David's gravity powers can also affect light and energy attacks much like how gravity affects the bending of light. He can also use this to make himself heavier or lighter.

Solar Manipulation: By using his gravity emulation he can choose to manipulate only solar radiation around him, similar to how he can manipulate Earth's own EM field and light waves. In the same way he uses sun's heat to fuel a fire attack he can also choose to focus only solar energy into a form of fashion of his choosing.

Geokinesis: As Terra Firma, David can control the earth under him in any manner he wants. Meaning he can also control the size and form of the rocks he moves around. Aside from stone, and dirt David can also summon a specific mineral or crystal if need be.

Invisibility: Using his control over light with his gravity emulation he can bend the light around him, so that the light particles never touch him, giving him invisibility.

Supreme Durability: In his transformed mode David possesses high resistance to physical, magical, and energy attacks.

Agent of the Earth: Because of the Earth David has gained a super powered form, this new powered form is the personification of Earth's desire to defend itself. This form switches in with David's normal human form, replacing it with a body of energy, energy from the Earth's essence itself. This new body can feel soft like a persons body, but it is not flesh, nor does it have a need to breath. It's appearance is entirely due to David's unconscious mind, from the subtle 'breathing' motions, to the fiery energy flowing off him.

Meditative Chrysalis: If damaged or injured to a critical or near fatal point David can retreat to a chrysalis. But this is not instantaneous and therefore not usable in battle.

Flight: In his powered body he is capable of flight.

Earth-Mind: Due to the origin of his powers he retains a constant two-way link to the Earth, this link allows him to feel life around him, and attune himself to forces he couldn't as a normal human. This is also the evidence of the ever growing connection between the two.

Attributes (Select one at each category):
Height: Human 6'1, Terra Firma 10'0(Variable?)
Weight: 220lbs
Strength Level: 100+ Tons
Speed/Reaction Timing Level: 60 mph(Variable?)
Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort: 2 hours
Agility: 20x
Intelligence: Above Average
Fighting Skill: Untrained

Resources: Average

Weaknesses:
David’s bonding with the Earth isn’t complete and as such has limited defense against a psychic attack, depending on the severity of the attack the Earth may choose to forcefully disengage the link to spare either it's user or itself. In certain scenarios the Earth may choose to assume control. He can also be beaten down by an attacker if they were strong enough.

If defeated in his transformed body David would be unable to transform again until he has healed properly.

When he is a normal human he can hurt and be killed just as easily as anyone else, if not more so due to his chosen morals.

Supporting Characters:
Dr. Carmine Williams: A colleague and like minded spirit David befriended the last time he lectured at Lost Haven University.

Miller family: So far David has met two members, a father and son named George and Thomas, respectively. They are the family that fished him out of the water.

Sledge: Local small time hero, has named himself after a sledgehammer for obvious reasons.

Do you know how to post pictures on RPG boards?: I’ll find out soon.

Nicholas Church

Alias: November
Speech Color: MediumSlateBlue
Character Alignment: Hero
Identity: Known to the LHPD and S.T.R.I.K.E., as well as the US Navy and the criminal underworld.
Character Personality: Soft-spoken and friendly, normally, but when riled, becomes gruff and terse.
Uniform/costume: He wears suits.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Origin Info/Details:

Nicholas Church was an all-American kid. Played football in the backyard with his friends, learned to shoot from his father, and joined the Boy Scouts as soon as he could. Born to Lionel Church and Tabitha Ferguson-Church in 1981, in the suburban town of Whitechapel, Pennsylvania, he had a happy life.

Getting scholarships, he went to Penn State for football, and graduated cum laude in his class. Then, September 11th came. After that fateful day, Nick Church was caught up in the patriotic fervor sweeping the nation, and joined the Navy SEALs.

Going on covert missions of all stripes, Nick finished his tour, and came back home, proud to have served his country. Settling down, he joined the LHPD, and in Lost Haven, he met the love of his life, Carol Winters.

She was an EMT, and they first met at the Lost Haven Emergency Services Christmas Gala. It was less than a year before they were married. Living happily for several years, they had Abigail in 2005, and everything seemed fine, until November of the same year.

One fateful day, Nick got the call that his wife was hospitalized. She was making a deposit at the bank, and a masked man held up the place, with strange powers. Carol tried to stop him, and the man blasted her with fire. She was badly burned, but the robber was horrified, and gave himself up. Rushing to the hospital, Nick came in just in time to see her die on the operating table.

Nick was crushed, but he tried to stay strong for their daughter. Quitting the force, he became a bounty hunter, giving him more time to spend with his daughter. When she was six, he began to notice something strange. She was stronger, and tougher than any six-year-old had any right to be. Testing this out carefully, he soon learned that she was super-strong, and insanely resistant to damage. Abigail, quite frankly, was delighted when she found out. She was a superhero! But her father less happy. This would make people come after her. Bad people.

Keeping her abilities secret, he tried to keep up their normal life, but when she reported to him that she saw a suited man with black sunglasses following her home from school, he knew that the game was up. Quitting his job, again, and breaking out the old equipment, he prepared for what he knew was coming.

A storm was on its' way. But he would protect his little girl from anything. No matter what he had to do.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hero Type:Normal/Gunman
Power Level: Street
Powers:

(Unknown to him) Minor Healing Factor: Nick has a minor healing factor that works slowly, comparative to other heroes with more powerful healing factors. This allows him to take slightly more damage than a normal human would be able to, and be ready for action quicker after injuring himself.

Attributes:
Age: 36
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 178 lb.
Strength Level: Athletic Normal Human
Speed/Reaction Timing Level: Quick Normal Human
Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort: 2 Hours due to training
Agility: Agile Normal Human
Intelligence: Average
Fighting Skill: Mastered

Resources: Large (Mostly weapons, but quite a bit of cash left over from his pay as a SEAL.)
Weaknesses: He's just a man, albeit a deadly one.

Supporting Characters:

Abigail Church: His 13-year old daughter. Is a powerful metahuman, with super-strength and superhuman durability.

Do you know how to post pictures on RPG boards?: Yep.

Character you have created:
Katarina von Reisech / Katarzyna z Ryzsecz

Alias:
Various names that have been bandied about in the ages, though most simply call her The Red Countess.

Speech Colour (Actually say what you're using):
#921111

Character Alignment:
A true Villain of the ages, Katarina is bent on unlocking the deepest secrets of the arcane and of the ultimate goal of unlife - to be free of the need for blood and to no longer fear the sun... And she will do *anything* to get it.

Identity:
Only known to a handful of those versed in the dark arts of necromancy and vampirism.

Character Personality:
Selfish, undependable and duplicitous, von Reisech is not a woman to be trusted or relied upon for important duties, though she is capable of loyalty to some causes, so long as they suit her own purposes ultimately. She plays the long game, willing to allow the mortals about her play along with their own little flickers of energy, their brief moments of glory before the cold embrace of death takes over. She is willing to grant others the mercy of the Blood Kiss, though any that are turned by her are subservient to her every whim and desire, no matter how dangerous or damaging it may be. When in battle, she is utterly merciless and ruthless to a fault, willing to sacrifice even the largest and most powerful of their servants in her search for power and her birthright - her lands in what is now Kaliningrad, the old Holy Roman county of Preussen-Konigsberg. Ultimately, she wishes to create her own vampiric paradise, where the hateful rays of the sun are obscured by the mists of undeath, and those in her thrall toil for her benefit, and finally, von Reisech will rebuild the Tower of Spires, and within, she will retire to her libraries once more. She lusts for knowledge and arcane arts, and will not hesitate to jump at any opportunity to expand her collection of spells and arcane magicks.

But... anyone can change.

Uniform/costume:
Katarina often sports Renaissance-style clothing (in spite of the changing times) as she is more comfortable with the clothing that she knew in her mortal life.

Origin Info/Details:

Hero Type (Select one):
Supernatural.

Power Level (Select one below):
World-Level. Katarina once ruled the mightiest vampiric empire the Baltic had ever seen, and though it was lost to the Christian foes of the Empire, she aspires to see herself rise to such levels once more.

Powers:
- Knows English, German, Polish, French and (some) Russian
- Can shift shapes from humanoid to beast (bat swarm) to monstrous (known as the Gheist) forms.
- Superhuman strength.
- Blinding speed and reflexes.
- All of Katarina's abilities can be strengthened when she has fed from one of her unfortunate victims.
- For spells and relics, see below.

Attributes (Select one at each category):
As Katarina:
Height: Five feet and eleven inches.
Weight: 148 pounds, or 67.1 kg.
Strength Level: About 10 to 20 tons at maximum humanoid strength
Speed/Reaction Timing Level: 100+ MPH at maximum reflexes
Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort: About 4 hours per feeding
Agility: 15X Normal
Intelligence: Not quite Genius, though she plays the long game...
Fighting Skill: Mastered. The Red Countess is a vicious and powerful fighter, particularly with her rapier.

As the Gheist:
Height: Well over ten feet tall from feet to head, including wings possibly as many as 15 ft
Weight: Unknown, possibly as much as two and half tons
Strength Level: Between 70-80 tons comfortably
Speed/Reaction Timing Level: 80-90 MPH
Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort: About 4 hours per feeding
Agility: Slightly slower than humanoid, perhaps about 12-13X that of a human
Intelligence: The Red Countess maintains her intelligence level, even as a Gheist.
Fighting Skill: Mastered. Bestial, bloody and brutal, Katarina as a Gheist can rip through whole squads of men all by herself.

Resources:
Limited at best currently. Katarina is slowly returning to power, and lacks much of her repertoire and her infrastructure, including her library of ancient tomes. Katarina currently has herself, her power and that's about it.

Weaknesses:
Though a Vampire, Katarina is still susceptible to physical damage and if her mortal form is destroyed, she will flee back to Neuhausen as the proverbial mist to regenerate. Depending on her level of power, this can take any time between minutes and weeks, during which time she is still vulnerable to her coffin being attacked and destroyed, which will kill her. None but the most powerful gods can save her undead soul after that. Katarina is still vulnerable to the sun and will suffer very serious consequences in direct sunlight, though she can somewhat tolerate overcast conditions due to her power. Christians beware, however, for she is no stranger to the symbols of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Some say it is because of her Prussian heritage, others that even God has a plan in mind for her, others still that her latent atheism protects her, but whatever the reason, crosses and religious artefacts will not stop Katarina.

Supporting Characters:
- Lord Franz Siegfried Philipp Ludwig von Sigmaringen, Katarina's ally and vampire of Swabia. Franz Siegfried has been Katarina's constant companion since early in her reign, and accompanied her as she fled into the catacombs of the Tower of Spires. Weaker and bent to Katarina's will, Franz Siegfried is nevertheless a potent physical adversary in battle, though he lacks much of Katarina's power. Currently is unaware of Katarina's re-awakening.

- Benjamin Reeves: A werewolf that Katarina met during her brief sojourn in New York City. Katarina was instantly charmed by his mild manner and physical appearance, and has inwardly vowed to protect him from all danger as best she can. The two of them have formed an unlikely alliance, and possibly even more.

Do you know how to post pictures on RPG boards?: I've already posted two of them, damn it.

Theme Song: Katarina, The Red Countess

It had been almost four hundred years since her Fall. Four hundred years of suffering, slow regeneration and isolation from the world in her coffin. The surface-dwellers, the living, the mortals above - all thought that she was dead, that the Red Countess was perhaps never anything more than a myth, a legend that lived only in folk tales from Prussia. Four hundred years of archaeological digs had failed to unearth her, and so she was allowed to rest in peace... until now. The magics and balance of the world had changed, with the rise of the superheroes and supervillains, and the age of metahumanity had begun. From deep within the bowels of an abandoned ruin, a coffin stirred and slowly came to life, as a dull red glow surrounded it from within.

The Red Countess awakes from her torpor.

Katarina staggered forward and fell to the dusty stone floor, the coffin lid falling to one side and the ashes of her once-sumptuous attire swirling about her in a mockery of her old status and power, brought down by Sigismund Vasa, the Polish bastard. She could feel her old wounds aggravating her, and she thirsted... by God, she thirsted. Her energy levels were such that even opening her eyes felt an unimaginable task, let alone standing up. She lay on the cold stone for what felt like an eternity, before slowly, and painfully, she reached out a nailed hand and tried to drag herself forward, finding no strength in her tired and blood-starved muscles; despite her best efforts, she remained stubbornly immobile, her rage increasing, until finally, her will snapped and she screamed as loud as she could in pathetic defiance of her condition. She found herself practically unable to move from lack of energy, and had anyone been aware of her... they could have ended her right there and then. However, there was only one who was with her - Franz Siegfried, the man who stood by her as her world burned, as her whole dreams were cast down and shattered, as her lands were slaughtered and devastated. And now, it was he who stood above her, looking down, a broad, fanged smile on his face, with a hand extended to help her back to her feet. "Katarina, my sweet love... it has been a long time. "

Her arms protested as she slowly crawled over to his closest leg and gripped it tightly, using his clothes and frame as a structural aid as she slowly crawled to her feet. "Franz... please... help me... let me feed." Her throat was dry, her voice cracking with the strain, but Franz smiled, nodded and proceeded to open up his neck, allowing Katarina to sink her fangs into his throat and drink deeply of his tainted blood, infected as he was by a fragment of Katarina's power. She gasped involuntarily as power began to course through her torpid veins and her old strength returned to her. She withdrew her fangs as Franz staggered back, holding a hand to the bite wound, and she wiped her mouth with her hand. "Thank you. I knew you would come to save me from my torpor one day, Franz. Perhaps there is hope for us yet... hope for Neuhausen. Hope for the Tower. Hope for us to rebuild what we had. Our empire. Our future. Our... our love." Katarina looked over at a glass display case where Franz had laid out her most treasured outfit of luxurious fabrics and leather, as well as her fabled sword, Black Sun. She walked over to the case and smashed through the glass with but a light punch, and took hold of her new clothes and her sword. Dressing herself, she sheathed her sword and turned back to Franz, who looked upon her with adoring eyes, as ever.

"Franz... We have much to do. We must find allies, resources, power, and we must find it elsewhere. We could escape our foes in the New World... And there we could build up our empire with which to strike back at the hated Church, strike back at those who wronged us! Those who envied our power, our glory! The Poles, the Germans, the Lithuanians... they all will die at my hand! Let the world know... The Red Countess returneth!"

Character you have created:
Chorąży Kseniya Stanisława Zielinska

Alias:
RUBIS (French for the gemstone 'ruby')

Speech Color:
#ED145B

Character Alignment:
Walking the Line

Identity:
Known to some, but mostly 'secret-ish' in the United States. Those with sufficient intelligence clearance could be able to find out who she is by consulting with Polish intelligence networks.

Description & Personality:
Kseniya takes no shit. From anyone. She's a fearless veteran with plenty of military experience under her belt, including brief stints in combat with the Polish Army and the French Foreign Legion. She's a hard-bitten woman, and her age sometimes shows in her demeanour, seeing those younger than her as childish and irresponsible, particularly those new to the 'superhero' malarkey - such an attitude is perhaps unsurprising for someone with almost 30 years of armed service behind her. Her English is slightly clipped and spoken with a Polish accent, though it has improved since her sojourn to the United States began. She is slow to trust and slower to befriend, preferring to keep others at a respectful arm's distance, but she will not hesitate to speak her mind. If it's stupid, she'll say so. If it's wildly out of proportion, she'll say so. In combat, Kseniya is a commanding presence, whose voice rises above even the din of combat to yell orders to those under her charge. She is a disciplined, demanding squad leader, though she will never order one of her own subordinates to do anything she herself would not consider.

Origin Info/Details:
Born on the 14th of September, 1968, Kseniya Zielinska is the eldest of three children by Viktor, a career soldier in the Polish People's Army, and Krystyna, a largely self-made woman who ran a successful launderette in downtown Warszawa. Her upbringing was perhaps much different to those used to Western comforts - food queues were a common occurrence, as the Polish economy, despite several attempts at liberalisation, was slowly being ground down to support the struggling Soviet economy. (WIP)

Hero Type:
Brick

Power Level:
High Street Level/Low City Level - though she's no slouch, she's only one woman. Though a one-woman army.

Powers:

The Immovable Object - Pretty much does what it says on the tin. Rubis is, for all intents and purposes, physically indestructible. She is immune to physical injury caused by significant emotional events such as, but not limited to, being shot, being stabbed, being gassed, and being submerged in water/boiling oil/molten metal and rock. She is not limited by the vagaries of age, disease or any such other damaging source or substance. However, she is still subject to the laws of physics - blast her in the chest with a shotgun, and she will go flying. She'll also be quite angry, so you'd better have a Plan B to restrain or subdue her when you realise that your little gun isn't going to stop this Polish juggernaut.

Attributes (Select one at each category):
Date of Birth: September 14th, 1968
Height: Five feet and ten inches (177.8 cm)
Weight: Twelve and a half stone (79.37 kg)
Strength Level: Above Human (but not by much
Speed/Reaction Timing Level: Human
Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort: Effectively limitless
Agility: Human
Intelligence: Above Average
Fighting Skill: Mastered. As a veteran of 30 years, I'd hope so.

Resources:
Medium. As a veteran of over 30 years' service, Kseniya has amassed quite the small fortune, due to her service in the Soviet Bloc being more lucrative due to her status. She has most of her cash invested in several bank accounts in Poland, Switzerland and Sweden, though she prefers to keep a sizeable sum of money on hand in case of 'emergencies'. Her estimated net worth is approximately €650,000 in her bank accounts alone, with another €75-€100,000 on hand immediately. However, given most of her arms trades are with the black market, such monetary reserves are not inexhaustible.

Weaknesses:
Rubis is not invincible to non-mundane forms of assault. She can be affected by psychic attacks and abilities targeting her mental health, though as a veteran of 30 years, she is quite hardened to horror, and she is strong-willed. She's also just one person. Surround her, capture her and restrain her. She might be immune to bullets, but she's still just a person, though perhaps stronger than one might expect, given how she can use her muscular structure to its fullest extent.

Real Name: Charlene Croll. Char, Charlie.

Alias: The Alchemyst

Speech Color: Honeydew

Character Alignment: Walking the Line - Leaning Hero. Chaotic Good.

Identity: Secret

Character Personality:

Charlene Croll has a deep and rich family history rooted in studying alchemy for hundreds of years. Her family focused largely on alchemy and alchemy alone, as a result is naive to other magical practices. The talent and magic potential lingers heavily in her family’s blood, granting them the ability to transmute the world around them. With the weight of carrying on family tradition on her shoulders, Charlene hardly acts the part. Her focus is on the present, forging her own path and discoveries. Takes immense amounts of pride in her abilities and her family, but struggles with identifying herself for the current generation.

Streetwise, smart, fast talker. Problem solver.

Incredibly observant, great spacial awareness and great sense of direction. As an urban scavenger, her versatility relies heavily on these abilities. Generally a sociable person when she has time, especially now that she has completed her master’s. Holds a close circle of friends, gets along well enough with her peers within the chemistry department at LHU, Lost Haven University. Charlene prioritizes her family above all else, above school and above herself.

Hero Type:
Mystic

Power Level:
Street Level

Powers/Skills:
Transmutation: An alchemist's bread and butter, able to focus the magic within her to change the form of things around her. For more complex changes she scribbles out the alchemical equation upon the item but for simpler things like removing water from alcohol she can do so without the help of a formula. As a skill it comes as naturally to her as it is to breathe. Excessive transmutation takes it’s toll on her mind in a similar way pulling an all nighter would. She begins to lose focus, much more likely to make a mistake. A good night sleep and a break helps to bring her focus back.

I.e Transmuting a state of an element from solid, liquid, and gas. Pulling and isolating certain elements, like oxygen or hydrogen from water. Adding certain elements to an object to change it’s form, forcing oxygen into iron graters to rust. Changing the shape of a wooden crate to stakes.

It takes time for Charlene to write alchemical equations to breakdown the base elements of what she is transmuting. While with simpler things like separating elements in water, she can do off the top of her head easily.

Fighting Skills: Trained by her mother, Charlene is quite proficient with a staff in her hands. Non-lethal fighting style.

Master’s Degree in Chemistry: Charlene has earned her master’s degree at Lost Haven University.

Scavenging: A good eye for searching an area for valuable components, tearing apart old computers, tvs, cars, quick to pick clean an area for valuable scrap before moving on.

Minor Herb/Medicinal Knowledge: Charlene maintains minor understanding and recognition of medicinal herbs, due largely to her grandfather’s expertise. Can recognize certain herbs and plants, use them for rustic applications.

Strength Level: Normal Human
Speed/Reaction Timing Level: Normal Human
Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort: Trained - 2 hrs.
Agility: Normal Human
Intelligence: Above Average - Formally educated
Fighting Skill: Trained - Fighting Staff and Self Defense

Resources: Average - holds down a part time job as a lab assistant at the University, helps run family’s shop - Croll Corner. Makes modest cash off of her scavenging materials.

Equipment:
Sycamore Magnum Opus Staff: Made of sycamore, weighted with soft metals worked into the grain like tin, copper, and gold. Able to use the metals in the staff to change the shape, most often to that of a crowbar.

Items found on her person/in small backpack:
Lithium batteries
Cat litter
Aerosol hairspray
Lighter
Flint and steel
Steel flask of whiskey
Water Bottle - Gasoline
A ceramic knife
Little packets of salt
Plyers
A packet of styrofoam

Weaknesses:

Human Constraints: Vulnerable to exposure, a bullet, a nasty fall, a hard hit around the head. Human through and through. Slightly above average pain tolerance, can withstand a hit. Otherwise, easy enough to hurt or stop.

Human Endurance: While her endurance is above average, when Charlene loses focus she begins to grow sluggish of body and mind. Much more likely to mess up an equation or miscalculate an element in transmutation. Which can result in some rather ugly results.

Supporting Characters:
Father (Deceased at 28)- Keith Croll (Changed name when he married Julianne), Keith was rather skilled with metal work and jewellery enchantment. Julianne keeps a set of rings to pass onto Harriet and Charlene from their father. Her father's side of the family approved quite readily of their marriage, the Croll's make annual trips to New York City for reunions and holidays.

Mother (Age 42) - Julianne Croll - Jules. Mother of Charlene and Harriet, manages Croll Corner and manages their training. Her staff is heavy, hardworked metals. The staff itself is dotted with quartz crystals, while it's core was replaced a long time ago with tungsten. Reflective of her teaching, focusing on toughening her children. Her patience for working with tougher materials resulted in an incredibly sturdy and hard staff. While she was a tough teacher to impress, she was never cruel. Always pushed just enough. Is a vehement believer in staying out of metahuman business, firmly believes the magical community was wrongly lumped in with them.

Younger Sister (Age 15)- Harriet Croll - Harry. Young, endlessly sassy, uses sarcasm like it was a second language. Smart, focusing her staff modifications on biological by products like shells and feathers. Struggles striking a balance of the lighter and inconsistent materials. Keeps a collection of feathers, convinced their elderly neighbours to bring back buckets of shells from their tropical vacations. Could spend hours on the shores of Lost Haven's south end.

Grandfather & Mentor (Age 68) - Nathaniel Croll. The gentle teacher to their tough mother. His staff is an intricate array of glass bubble terrariums with his various favourite herbs, most prominently rosemary. The roots embedded deep in the wood of his staff. Refers to his garden of herbs and flowers as classic alchemy. Brewing concoctions, salves, oils and ointments. Maintaining an incredible memory, extensive amounts of formal education and degrees in chemistry, horticulture, and a university professor for several years.

Friends:

Carrie Ludwig (Age 24) - Childhood friend and her go to for witchcraft needs and magical reference. Always smells of sage, cares for a small zoo of pets. Her favourite person to grab a drink with.

Yvonne Thompson (Age 47), a fellow urban scavenger, loner and tradeswoman. Charlie knows next to nothing about Yvonne besides her name, whether she's homeless or living in suburbia with a nuclear family. Yvonne has a great nose for good salvage spots, can negotiate a thrifty pawnshop owner into the ground.

Lokyn Greywall

The Nordic Gentleman

Physical Description:
At six feet eight inches, Lokyn towers above most people, and is tall, lean and muscled despite what his slim frame might tell you. With feathery, shoulder length hair that's dark mahogany at the top and slowly fades into light brown naturally, his hazel-amber eyes are alluring to some and unsettling to most. His high cheekbones and creamy, flawless skin make up for it though, and though he doesn't look the type, he has nordic rune tattoos on his right forearm as well as his parents names in the same letters.
Alias
Nattklov(Not-Clohv): Norwegian-Night Claw
Speech Color (Actually say what you're using): PaleTurquoise
Character Alignment: Hero
Identity: Secret.
Character Personality:Lokyn is usually calm, except for when someone or something he deems as his and belonging to him is in danger or being taken away, or when he sees animals, children and women being abused. He's hard to anger, enjoys animals, swimming, dancing and playing the guitar. He's very pro LGBTQ, all about women, children and animal rights, and refuses to talk politics. He's usually reserved, but if there is a conversation going on and it's a topic that interests him, will politely join in, and then he changes completely, going from quiet, to animated and excited. Lokyn believes in karma, that what you do will return to you, and that everyone should strive to be who they want to be, not who other people want them to be. When fighting, he's swift, efficient, fierce, and deadly. He has the capacity for mercy, but if it comes down to his life or that of a brutal killer, he will put the bastard down. Not a typically religious person, he respects the faiths of other people, and he would be considered a pagan. However if one tires to force their beliefs on him, he will quickly shut them down, and do it with a cold look in his eyes. His scariest emotion for other's to witness is his icy calm anger-you know shit's about to hit the fan and it's going to go everywhere.
Uniform/costume:
He wears all black leather armor, sort of like the stuff you would see an elf wear, but more form fitting.
Origin Info/Details:
Born in Reykjavík, Iceland, Lokyn was an only child to his parents. A few hours shortly after he was born, they discovered his natural claw mutation when he got upset for one of the many reasons that babies cry. Alarmed, yet accepting, they trimmed the ends so that he would not hurt himself or others with them. Growing up was somewhat hard for Lorkyn. His reserved and quiet nature made it hard for him to make friends, and so he was considered a loner. that worked just as well for him though, because he disliked the playground rama that went on, all the way up to high school. He had better things to worry than who dated who and whatnot. When he was nineteen, both of his parents died when a drunk driver crashed into them. All three people died that day, and Lokyn swore to never ever have more than one small glass of alcohol. He refused to let someone drive home drunks, buzzed or tipsy. It didn't matter if you were a stranger het met at bar or a co worker-he would insist on driving you home or calling a taxi for you.

When he turned twenty-three he moved to the US and bought a house. It was fairly large, and he didn't want to live alone, so he put out an ad for a housemate to share the bills. Two weeks after he first sent the ad out, CC showed up. The Frenchman's acerbic nature and biting sarcasm quickly endeared him to Lokyn and the two have been friends since then.

Yeah.
Sample Post (Minimum Four paragraphs containing dialogue. As this is an Advanced Level game, Sample must also meet the RPG forum's minimum requirement of 12 lines. Only for first time applicants.):
The blaring of an extremely annoying alarm clock was the precursor to a certain acrobatic shapeshifter's dark morning mood, all dark clouds and swearing in Norwegian, Icelandic, English and at least three other languages. That is, until he had his morning cup of coffee. As the wording on his shirt said, "Today's good mood is sponsored by Coffee."
He'd found it one day when looking at the graphic tshirts in the men's clothing department. At the sound of bare feet padding on cold stone tile, swearing in the often flowery sounding language of French, he turned to see his friend and housemate of three years. Cutler Coma Argeneau was tall for a human at six foot six, and dashingly handsome with dark brown hair that barely reached past his jaw and storm grey eyes.

"Mornin," Lokyn offered the European male a cup of coffee. The male took it, muttering in French, took a few sips and relaxed slightly.
Neither one of them were morning people, even though both of their jobs oft required them to wake up at the ungodly ass-crack of dawn and keep odd hours, sometimes all nighters. They'd both pulled all-weekers a few times. Boy, by then end of the last all-weeker had ended,
Lokyn had been on the edges of his sanity. It had definitely been hell on his senses.

"Why in the hell you always wake up so awfully early i will never understand, mon ami," CC told his friend. Lokyn shrugged.

"I forgot how to reset my alarm clock and have no patience to relearn lately," he replied. CC snorted a laugh in camaraderie. He knew what that was like.

"Plans, min venn?" Lokyn asked, taking another sip of the sweet brown liquid that was surely the creation of the gods. CC shook his head.

"Non," he replied. "Marie has given me the rest of the month off to relax. She practically kicked me out, saying if she had to listen to me complain about whoever's idea it was to set up the work schedule the way it is must have been the product of several farm animals." the Icelandic male choked on a laugh and had to set his cup down to prevent himself from dropping it.

"Gudene har barmhjertighet, CC," he laughed. "Marie may well wash your mouth out with soap herself you keep it up." CC rubbed a hand along the back of his neck in slight embarrassment.

"I'll ask her our first, and if she says yes, i'll gladly let her make me eat soap," he said. "Solid liquid, inbetween, i wouldn't give a damn." Lokyn raised an eyebrow in slight mockery.

"Only took you six months to work up the guts, great job," he mocked. CC punched him in the arm. Hard. Lokyn Laughed and rubbed it.

"Well, I'm going to hit the shower and then go to work," he said, fist bumping him. "have a good day, CC."

"You too, mon ami."
