Government: Absolute Monarchy. The Kaiser is the head of state, and below him is the Chief of Staff, Minister of the Interior, Minister of Defense, Minister of Colonial Affairs, Minister of the Economy, Minister of Production, and the Council of Lords.
Species:
Standing at an average human height or just above, the Alai are thickly furred, expert sailors. They have an affinity for the sea, and produce many shrewd merchants. They are well of hearing and have below average eyesight.
Culture: The Kaiserreich of Antenland believes first and foremost in their own superiority. As one of the main superpowers of the globe, they have long been at the forefront of global politics. They make excellent diplomats as a result, and combined with their highly regarded and tradition-blanketed navy, has allowed them to build a vast colonial empire. They often side with the weak of Narrev, for a united Narrev will surely bring the end of the dream of Antenland.
Territory Claims:
Economy: Their economy is an immensely powerful mix of farming and industry, due to the fact that they hold colonies rich in resources. Resources are pumped into the heartland of the Empire, where manufactured goods are produced. These goods are then sold at protectionist rates back to the colonies and around the globe. They produce many items, and they are rich enough to fund just about anything they want, and they have the resources and manufacturing power to see it through.
Technology: They are a fully modernized country. They keep up with the latest advancements, even if they do not innovate themselves. They have modernized amenities, many of which they produce themselves.
Army: Due to a military coup in the past that lead to a massive chunk being bitten out of their colonial empire, they no longer have a professional military. Professional militarism is seen as almost shameful culturally.
When the military is called to action, they use a Witten-Len 1898 series bolt action rifle, similar to the 1895 Lee-Enfield. The rifle is an 8 round, magazine fed repeating rifle with a dependable straight bolt.
They make use of horse-drawn artillery, but due to their stigma of professional military, they do not have anybody with the training to be in a cavalry corps. Therefore, they are strictly infantry. They often rely on mercenaries or colonial auxiliaries. In wartime, the army can get vast, millions of auxiliaries swarming to action. However, they are conscripted on a seasonal basis, with the vast majority of men entering the military in the winter and summer. Due to the industrialization, men conscripted from the heartland make up the mainstay military, numbering about two hundred thousand at full strength. These men are available year-round when pressed into duty. Unfortunately, this comes with damage to the economy due to the depletion of the industrial workforce.
Navy: The Royal Navy, prefixed KRS, or Kaiserreich Ship, is vast and modern. Made up of about 160 vessels, it is extremely modernized and more than a match for more numerous navies. The flagship, a massive dreadnought, is capable of placing huge amounts of firepower in the enemy’s direction, and is a ship to fear. It is mainly made up of cruisers, torpedo boats, and destroyers. It has a few submarines, some hospital ships, and various other ships of varying specialization.
The merchant force is an entirely different story, handled mostly privately. The South Cantor Company has a monopoly on most trade.
Air Force: The Kaiserreich does not believe investing in an air force is important, especially with the stigmatization against military that isn’t the Navy. It simply isn’t culturally acceptable to spend one’s life training for a land war in biplanes.
Rolls:
Roll ID: 175022754146418688 20 - Territory - Your nation is the cream of the crop, and a majority of the globe is under your command. Vast lands are yours to command. 16 - Tech - Your nation may be a trendsetter in one or two things, and it is as modern as can be. It isn’t the most innovative, but it is by no means antiquated. 3 - Army Size - Your army is restricted to personal guards and retainers, but the nation maintains a system that allows for vast armies to be levied on a seasonal basis. 20 - Economy - Your economy is world-class, and the nation is in the middle of an economic boom. You are seen as a land of opportunity. The nation can fund anything it wants, almost. 10 - Production - Your nation is a mix of agrarian and industrial. 18 - Navy Size - You’re a top competitor for the largest navy, in both merchants and military. 2 - Airforce Size - You have no air force. 18 - Mobilization Ability - It takes a few weeks to mobilize.
Government:Democratic (Inoffensive Centrist Democracy). There are four government positions to acheive: mayor(like congress, but headed by the mayor of the capital), the President, the Vice (Similar to the President in power, but deal in different areas of the government), and the General, which is the true leader of the country (the Vice and President are advisors to the General). Elections are held every 2 years for Mayor, 4 years for President, 4 years for Vice, and 6 years for General. Yes, they vote on who the General is. Currently, in the capital, the Mayor is Seth Reynolds, a corrupt figure that will do nearly anything for money. The President is Kenny Miles, who was always involved in government for his father, Maxon Miles, was the previous General, and Kenny hopes to rise to that position one day. Dallas Fiton, the current General, was just elected last week, and has yet to prove himself, and he can be a ruthless man at times. The Vice, who actually has the same amount of power as the President, is Nix Fiton, the wife of Dallas.

Culture: Enjoys war, but doesn't rush into any problem or solution without looking at all other options first, and choosing the best. The most popular... music... is rock. Literally. They bang rocks together rhythmically for "music". Agriculture is, despite hating the countryside, one of the most popular past-times, and is considered a sport. Environmental experimentation is... accepted widely. They are known for cautious/passive aggression, and for attempting to build ties with stronger nations. There is freedom of religion as well, and people are allowed to worship anything they choose. Cultural view of other countries is influenced partially from The Kingdom just across the sea. Ulgyrikan food also frequents many people's home.
Territory Claims: Basically, They don't like cities, and they don't like the country. Suburban life is for them. Just enough space to have privacy but to not be alone. The population of 40 million is comfortable with their lives. Their empire maybe limited in space but that doesn't stop the industrial revolution starting within it's borders. The country, just this year, has vowed to expand it's borders. One way or another.
Economy: Economy is one of the biggest problems here. It's stable, but one screw up will cause everything to crash and burn. They need a war to pick the economy up to it's feet again. They are preparing for a country to make just too much noise... And then they will strike. The Aquarians are aiming to ally or make amends with the strongest nations in their world just to gain an upper hand, and of course back up when things go to crap. Ulgyrikan trade will help boost the economy of the Aquarians, and is an overall advantage.
Technology: In this day and age, their tech is slightly advanced, if only a few months. Their tech basically consists of faster ships, planes that don't blow up extremely easily, and weapons that are "safer to handle". Scientists invest most of their time in advancing weapons and technology, while getting distracted here and there with health issues. The Kingdom has asked for some help developing better ships and other technology, which the Aquarian government decided to go along with.
Army:Who says that every 4 out of 50 people join the military means small? Not when whole families join and are trained together to make better tactical decisions. All be it, some people will die for their family, so that's sometimes a problem. Otherwise, its a great set up. Don't underestimate their power, or death will come. It takes roughly two months to mobilize, unless motivated heavily. The army consisting of 4 million soldiers is ready for war, and are itching for the chance to fire off their polished rifles. Some of the weapons are shipped out to The Kingdom, along with ammunition and other assets.
Navy:The navy is massive for it's time, and it was mostly used for transport recently, but they are all still equipped to fight. They are itching to fire some rounds off. The ships are kept in tip top working order, and always are shining under the sun. Warships(Battleships): 20 Transporters:60 Escorts:20 Convoys: 50 Make-Shift Carriers: 10 Suicide-Bomber Ships:2 Torpedo Boats: 18 Trade Ships (Government funded merchants): 40 Total:220
Air Force: Despite the huge navy, the Aquarians have a decent supply of planes, both in reserve and in commission, but not excessive- or in the best working order. Most Pilot's use the kamikaze attack technique. Planes are in constant need of repairs as well. They are currently getting taught how to fire the guns on the plane and not just ram the opponent's plane.
Rolls: (Can be generated by using 'rp!roll' in the Discord server.) Roll ID: 315313683947454466 12 - Territory - Your nation is somewhat average, with perhaps a little extra. It can hold a decent population and has plenty of space to go around. 19 - Tech - Your nation is effectively fully modern, and innovative to boot. It is likely the trendsetter in multiple categories. 14 - Army Size - Your army is well-sized, and maintained on a year-round basis. 8 - Economy - Your economy is weak, but is relatively stable. 5 - Production - Your nation is somewhat agrarian, with okay natural resource exploitation. 19 - Navy Size - You’re a top competitor for the largest navy, in both merchants and military. 15 - Airforce Size - You have some biplanes. 11 - Mobilization Ability - It takes two months to mobilize. TrueParanormal - Today at 10:40 PM
Other: He is going out of office due to call for complete impeachment. Dallas and Nix run the country, and yet stay away from the darkness of corruption. People are looking to their Mayors for help with the economy, but they all report to Seth, who sweeps it under the rug. Secretly, Seth is a spy for another nation, and that will start to cause problems. Sooner rather than later. Will the Aquarian government survivor, or will it fall victim to the jaws of another's power? - - - - On a completely separate topic, here are my national holidays: The festival of Love (commonly known as LoveFest, population tends to increase on this day) is every year on May, 23rd Patriot's Day (Political Involvment/Awareness rises after this day until the next holiday) is every August, 5th National Compassion Day (Christmas, Overall Happiness of the population rises on this day) is every year on December, 20th (I know that Christmas is the 25th) ScareFest (Fearlessness and determination rises on this day temporarily) is every October, 12th. War Awareness Day (Only after a war has been completed/started) is *insert when war started* Nights of Pacifism (People in my country refuse to fight unless forced on the 4 nights of Pacifism) is April, 10th - April, 14th.
The first General of the Democratic States of Aquarian
The Aquarian's first General was Maxon Miles, and he made the country into what we have today. First, he eliminated the monarchy that the Aquarians, called Faerdom, once were. He assumed control and drifted toward democracy, which he succed in and changed the name of the country. He came up with how the government is run, except for the Vice, which was added after the renaissance and is in control of mostly the tech portion of government. Miles only led one war, which was against the nationalist country Meirbrough Empire. He successfully took over and annexed their government, seizing the land for the Aquarians. Since then, only two provinces have been added due to other countries invading the small nation, Cryptopia, near them. Miles claimed the lands were entitled to the Aquarian government and the natives that started the monarchy of Faerdom (Aquarian). Cryptopia had broken off from Faerdom due to unfair taxation and a harsh limit on political and civil rights. Due to this, Maxon Miles claimed the two provinces again, and is just THAT much stronger. Maxon died in office, during the last week of his second term, leaving a legacy that none have broken so far. The current General, Dallas, is determined to surpass Maxon's achievements. The Aquarians used to be part of the SK, but broke off, into the kingdom of Faerdom, along with Cryptopia, which broke off from Faerdom as well. They were anexed and the Aquarians assumed control. Chaos reigned for 19 years.
Open Border Act
(Excerpt from the Fre'dom Papers; Section 2, Paragraph 4) "After, or during, war time if any refugee, human or not, may be welcome into the country if they haven't sought it's destruction. Even a diplomat and/or king (or inventor) is allowed to stay within our borders as long as they hold their weight." (Excerpt from the Fre'dom Papers; Section 5, Paragraph 1) "Outside of war time, our borders open to anyone, human or not, as long as they don't have a criminal record (except if it's rebelling against a tyrant/dictator or suppress) and they have no intention of doing any harm to our citizens. We welcome all races and treat them all fairly, but the bulk (90%) of our population is human. We can't stand human suppressors, but make a few exceptions if they have decent rights."

Historical Snapshots:
1066: William the Conquerer, the Aquarian Duke of Normandy, conquered Ulgyrikan, becoming King.
1088: William died and the realm was divided between his two sons. The Norman and Ulgyrikinan realms were once more under different rulers (Ulgyrikinan to William Rufus, Normandy to Robert Curthose).
1100: William Rufus died, replaced by his son Henry I.
1105-6: Ulgyro-Norman War. Henry I conquers Normandy from Robert.
1117–1120: Ulgyro-Faerish War. The new King of Faerdom (the name of Aquarian when it was a kingdom), Louis IV was unhappy with the Ulgyrikinan conquest of Normandy, and so declared war on Henry I. Ulgyrikinan emerged victorious and its rule on Normandy affirmed.
1337-1453: The Hundred Years' War. The war ended with the complete conquest of Faerdom by Ulgyrikan.
1494-1559: Ulgyrikan slowly lost its grip over Faerdom, and eventually lost all of its Aquarian territories. The Kingdom of Faerdom was re-established.
1776-1783: Funded the Candorian (aka Cantorian) revolutionaries in their war of independence. The SK recognised the Confederacy on February 6, 1778, with the signing of the Treaty of Amity and Commerce, which was immediately followed by signing the Treaty of Alliance in anticipation of conflict as a result. Hostilities soon followed after Antenland declared war on the SK on March 17, 1778.
1783: Signing of the Treaty of London, bringing an end to the Candorian War of Independence very much in favour of the Confederacy.
1789-1799: The Aquarian Revolution. The King of Faerdom was overthrown by the population. Due to their rivalry, Ulgyrikan covertly funded the revolutionaries against the King. The King of Faerdom was executed, though some relatives managed to escape to Ulgyrikan.
1799-1818: Despite Ulgyrikinan attempts to stabilise the newly-established Aquarian state, chaos reigned for 19 years.
1818-29: The Aquarian Republic is established and the nation stabilises somewhat.
1830: The terrible state of the Aquarian economy causes another uprising.
1831-1870: The Civil War period. Aquarian tears itself apart for many years, emerging as three separate states.
1871: A brief war appears to have taken place between the SK and the Kaiserreich, resulting in the occupation of Southern Firland by the latter.
1885-1890: The Crusade of 1885 against the Empire of Volanth takes place. Though extremely successful at the beginning, the SK lost much of its conquests later in the war. Despite this, it gained Ulgyrikinan Argonia, the Horn of Candor, the Virgin Islands, the Isle of Christ, Ulgyrikinan Walderia, and Malta & the Pyrenees during the peace negotiations.
1894: The Incident of 1894 took place, where Ulgyrikinan ships (flying a different flag) were discovered attempting to smuggle weapons into the Kaiserreich's colonies. The SK did not wish to carry out an investigation. Pressure from the KR forced them to however, and the result was that 'petty smugglers' were at fault. Incidents of the nature seem to have repeated themselves, the most recent being in late 1899.
1895: Establishment of the Democratic States of Aquarian due to the skill of Maxon Miles. Having experienced stability for nearly 25 years, the states of Aquarian are formally united under the name the Democratic States of Aquarian. Though repulsed by its democratic system, Ulgyrikan established a good relationship with the new state - just as it had done with the Confederacy over 100 years before - on the basis of their humanity. Maxon Miles dies within a few weeks of the new state's establishment and is replaced as General by Dallas Finton.
Territory Claims:
Economy: 14 - Economy - Your economy is slightly above-average, and the nation can usually fund what it needs. 11 - Production - Your nation is a mix of agrarian and industrial. The Kingdom's economy has been going strong for many years now, and the result of this stability has had an effect on society at large. The burgeoning capitalist class is confident and optimistic, and industry is taking off all over the country. With government incentives, the Kingdom has managed to maintain food autarky, and its metals, metalsmiths, and metalworks, in general, are renown the world over and provide it with all its metal needs. Being an island nation with a powerful navy, it has been able to secure its trade routes and resources from its colonies have recently started making their way to the home isles - which will undoubtedly contribute to a coming economic boom and enable the government to further fund its ambitious projects.
Technology: 9 - Tech - Your nation is still antiquated, but modernisation is about to begin or in its beginning stages. While the Kingdom has generally been able to compete with most other world powers when it comes to technology, and while some of its inventors and engineers have historically been famed across the globe, it has undeniably fallen behind somewhat in recent years. Its weapons technology is outdated and its railway lines, which connect all the major cities and many minor ones, are in pressing need of renovation and improvement. Many believe that the way forward is greater expansion of the Kingdom's colonial holdings and utilisation of available resources to fund research and development in various areas. Whether the King will approve this plan of action remains to be seen, for others whisper of his admiration for Aquarian's advancements and his desire to arrange some kind of exchange of expertise between the two nations. It is a rumour that has caused many a hawk to grumble.
Army: His Sacred Majesty's Armed Forces; His Sacred Majesty's Most Holy Ulgyrikinan Army
HSM's Most Holy Ulgyrikinan Army is a relatively small but well-maintained professional force. While HSM's Most Holy Naval Forces are the major line of defence for the island kingdom, should an enemy ever succeed in landing they would find the Most Holy Ulgyrikinan Army a formidable foe. Along with Most Holy Naval Forces, they have partaken in the Kingdom's recent expansion abroad and are an important component in the Kingdom's colonial aspirations. Due to this, His Sacred Majesty has highlighted the importance of expanding the capabilities of the Most Holy Ulgyrikinan Army in every way. For this purpose, friendship with the more technologically advanced Democratic States of Aquarian is to be maintained and strengthened.
At present, all soldiers of the Most Holy Ulgyrikinan Army use the standardised, domestically produced ABUSDEUS Model 1876 Rifle. (ABUSDEUS: literally, God's Frown). It is a lever-action repeating rifle which has proven extremely successful in winning the as of yet small colonial holdings of the Kingdom. Despite firearms being present for many centuries, the Kingdom has maintained a very insistent adherence to traditional battledress. Thus Ulgyrikinan soldiers generally wear chainmail and armour. This has meant that for centuries now they have continued developing and bettering armour, making them amongst the most skilled metal smiths in the world, and their armour amongst the lightest. It is rather effective, to a limited extent, in protecting against firearms too.
The Most Holy Ulgyrikinan Army also makes use of domestically produced regular field guns and Gatling guns, and import Maxim machine guns from the nearby Aquarian. Ulgyrikinan engineers have been carefully studying these machine guns in order to produce a domestic variation.
The Most Holy Ulgyrikinan Army's mounted troops generally charge into battle with lances 2.97 metres long, before engaging in combat with sabres. They are generally well armoured and carry with them a manually operated lever-action, seven-shot repeating rifle, produced domestically, called the Spencer Repeating Rifle (named after Ulgyrikinan inventor Christopher Miner Spencer). It is very effective and easy to use from horseback.
The King is the Commander-in-Chief of the Most Holy Ulgyrikinan Army. The Chief of the General Staff is the professional head of the Most Holy Ulgyrikinan Army, and is generally a five-star general (a Field-Marshall). HSM's Most Holy Ulgyrikinan Army has two major branches. The first is HSM's Home Guard, who are stationed on the home isles. The second is HSM's Colonial Expeditionary Force, which is stationed across the Kingdom's colonial holdings. Each of these is considered an 'Army' and is headed by a four-star general.
Each 'Army' is split into three 'Corps'. Each of these is headed by a three-star Lieutenant General.
Each 'Corps' is split into three 'Divisions'. Each of these is headed by a two-star Major General.
Each 'Division' is split into four 'Brigades'. Each of these is headed by a one-star Brigadier General.
Each 'Brigade' is made up of three 'Regiments'. Each of these is headed by a Colonel.
Each 'Regiment' regiment is split into two 'Battalions' and two 'Companies'. A Battalion is headed by a Lieutenant Colonel while a Company is headed by a Captain. The numbers are as follows:
Infantry Battalion: 20 Officers, 600 Regular Infantrymen, 60 Others Field Battery Company: 10 Officers, 150 Gunners, 5 Others Mountain Battery Company: 10 Officers, 150 Gunners, 5 Others Cavalry Battalion: 20 Officers, 400 Dragoons, 65 Others Total in a Regiment: 1,495 Total in a Brigade (3 Regiments): 4,485 Total in a Division (4 Brigades): 17,940 Total in a Corps (3 Divisions): 53,820 Total in an Army (3 Corps): 161,460 Total in the Most Holy Ulgyrikinan Army (2 Armies): 322,920

Navy: His Sacred Majesty's Armed Forces, His Sacred Majesty's Most Holy Naval Forces.
One of the largest navies in the world, HSM's Most Holy Naval Forces come at some 160 warships and 50 transport ships. Ship names are generally preceded by a series of letters which identify the ship's type. The nation's vast merchant fleets are generally privately owned, though the government does dabble in trade and provides protection to all the Kingdom's shipping.
Ironclad: A steam-propelled warship protected by iron or steel armour plates. Designed for several roles, including as high seas battleships, coastal defence ships, and long-range cruisers. Many ironclads are built with the capability to make use of the ram or the torpedo, which a number of naval designers consider to be the important weapons of naval combat. Preceded by the letters HSMRI (His Sacred Majesty's Royal Ironclad).
Armoured Cruiser: A type of warship designed to operate as a long-range, independent warship, capable of defeating any ship apart from a battleship and fast enough to outrun any battleship it encountered. Varying in size, it was distinguished from other types of cruiser by its belt armour — thick iron (or later steel) plating on much of the hull to protect the ship from shellfire much like that on battleships. Preceded by the letters HSMRF (His Sacred Majesty's Royal Frigate).
Light Cruiser: A type of small- or medium-sized warship. Its name is a shortening of 'light armoured cruiser', describing a small ship that carried armour in the same way as an Armoured Cruiser: a protective belt and deck. While lighter and smaller than other contemporary ships they are still true cruisers, retaining the extended radius of action and self-sufficiency to act independently across the world. They serve in a variety of roles, primarily as convoy escorts and destroyer command ships, but also as scouts and fleet support vessels for battle fleets. Preceded by the letters HSMRC (His Sacred Majesty's Royal (Light) Cruiser).
Torpedo Boat: A relatively small and fast naval ship designed to carry torpedoes into battle. The first designs rammed enemy ships with explosive spar torpedoes, and later designs launched self-propelled Whitehead torpedoes (named after the Ulgyrikinan engineer, Robert Whitehead). They were created to counter battleships and other slow and heavily armed ships by using speed, agility, and the power of their torpedo weapons. A number of inexpensive torpedo boats attacking en masse could overwhelm a larger ship's ability to fight them off using its large but cumbersome guns. An inexpensive fleet of torpedo boats could pose a threat to much larger and more expensive fleets of capital ships, albeit only in the coastal areas to which their small size and limited fuel load restrict them. Preceded by the letters HSMRT (His Sacred Majesty's Royal Torpedo (Boat)).
Transport Steamships: Screw-propelled transport steamers. Can transport goods and people effectively. Unarmed. Preceded by the letters HSMRS (His Sacred Majesty's Royal Steamer).
Lieutenant Commander (Lt Cdr) - Second in command on most ships and small shore installations. May sometimes be given command of smaller ships.
Commander (Cdr): A commander may command a light cruiser, torpedo boat, or shore installation, or may serve on a staff. More experienced commanders may also be given command or armoured cruisers (aka frigates) and ironclads. Any naval officer who commands a ship is addressed by naval custom as "captain" while aboard in command, regardless of his or her actual rank.
Captain (Capt): Captains with sea commands generally command ships of cruiser size or larger; the more senior the officer, the larger the ship, but ship commanders do not normally hold a higher rank than captain. Referred to as 'Post-Captain' when in command of a ship to distinguish between an actual captain and a lower-ranked commander of a ship.
Commodore (Cdre): A one-star rank of the commander of a flotilla. A flotilla is generally composed of a homogeneous group of the same class of warship, such as ironclads, frigates, light cruisers, torpedo boats, submarines etc. The Most Holy Naval Forces standardise flotillas at five ships of the same class. This is generally the smallest unit of ships found operating together - the next smallest would be a solitary ship. These are generally temporary formations which break off from a larger squadron for a particular purpose.
Admiral (Adm): A series of ranks generally given to those who command a squadron or significant divisions of a squadron. A squadron is generally made up of thirty ships of arying vlasses. This series of ranks is divided as follows,
Rear Admiral (RAdm): A two-star rank. The most junior rank in the series, generally does not command a squadron alone, but divisions within it. Vice Admiral (VAdm): A three-star rank. Second in command of any squadron, and capable of commanding one on his own. Admiral (Adm): A four-star rank. Generally to be found in command of a squadron.
Admiral of the Fleet (AdmF): A five-star rank. The most senior rank in the Most Holy Naval Forces. Commands a fleet - which is generally made up of two or more squadrons.
Commander-in-Chief: His Sacred Majesty is the commander-in-chief of the Most Holy Naval Forces. There is no professional head beside him, though he generally makes decisions after considering the advice of senior naval officers. Though not an official rank, it is generally accepted that the most senior naval officer is the Lord Grand Admiral, a title granted by the King.
Flag of HSM's Most Holy Naval Forces
The Most Honourable Lord John Fisher (aka Jackie), 1st Marquis Fisher, Lord Grand Admiral, Admiral of the Fleet
Air Force: His Sacred Majesty has not ordained the creation of, and does not consider it necessary to so ordain, the establishment on his behalf of air power capabilities. It is better, in his view, that the His Sacred Majesty's Most Holy Naval Forces should instead continue its expansion and growth. Resources are thus better spent there than in the construction of fancy paper aeroplanes.

The Confederacy’s government is that of an indirect democracy, a republican state that operates with three branches. First is the Presidential, including the President, Vice President, and their cabinet. Next is the Assembly, often referred to as the Congress, consisting of the upper house, called the Senate, and the lower house, called the Commons, which operate in tandem to create and pass laws for the Confederacy. Lastly is the Judiciary Council, which operates off of, as mentioned, a Council within the federal High Court, which are supported by a system of court districts.
Species
Within the Confederacy exists the majority, of a species known as Homo Sapiens, colloquially called Humans, a result of the subjugation of a sizeable Human slave population, and subsequent relocation of said population to the continent of Cantor for purposes of mass agrarian production. Alongside these Humans are other minorities, including Alai, among others.
Culture
The populace of the Confederacy are best described as one word: Free. They are absolute practitioners of personal liberty no matter race, gender, or any other differences. Their lifestyle reflects such, with protected rights to life, liberty, and property.
Territory
Economy
The Confederacy’s economy is well balanced, strong in its own right. The market is free, capitalistic in practice, with mainly domestic competition, federal protectionism ensuring that foreign powers cannot intervene. As for its production, it is a balance of agriculture and industry, with most agriculture being located inland, and the industrial powerhouses on the coast.
Technology
The Confederacy is average on the front of technology, with a recent bloody civil conflict bringing the earliest stages of modernisation into effect. As of now, the Confederacy is working at large to modernise.
Army
The Confederated States Army is the primary terrestrial defense force of the Confederacy, consisting of about 70,000 troops. It is equipped and treated as a general defense force, consisting of only volunteers in times of peace.
The Liberty Arms Model 1896 Rifle is the standard issue service rifle of the Confederated States Army. It is bolt-action, loading from a side-gate mechanism. It was introduced in 1896 as a replacement for the slow and cumbersome breechloader that preceded it. Chambered in .30-40 with a capacity of 5.
Service pistol of the Confederated States Army. It is double action, with a cylinder of 6 rounds. Fires .38.
Navy
The Confederated States Navy is extremely small, only a merchant marine of armed merchantines and pre-dreadnought escorts.
Air Force
The Confederacy has no air force.

Culture: The land of Mehrsaba has long been divided into small pockets of influences ruled by princes along with a large peasant population. While border disputes had occurred at times, the principalities rarely mobilized non-professional mercenaries and, as such, much of the people do not hold any significant martial values. What the Mehrsabian peasantry lacked in war, they made up for with the expertise in the usage of the lands and the seas. Centuries of mining, farming, fishing, and animal husbandry has allowed them to survive to the present day however the new century seems to be daunting to this relic of the past.
Territory Claims:
Economy: Within recent times, global trade has given riches to the surviving dynasties by allowing them to sell their lands’ resources while exploiting the peasantry for cheap labor, earning them the nickname of “Slaverprinces” amongst the more disenfranchised population. The coffers of the ruling princes have filled themselves to brim, but the country itself is rife with economic hardship for most.
Technology: Though they’ve had communication with the outside world at times, the state had limited trade to certain seaports and border cities. Those that did not live in those cities had no clue what existed outside their borders due to strict serfdom, effectively putting the state in isolation. Only now with increased trading have the majority of the populace even realize how advanced other nations are.
Army: The princes had experienced an arms race of sorts in recent times among themselves. What few resources didn’t get sold to other countries were used to equip the mercenary armies, known as the Pomestnoe Vojsko, with swords, halberds, cannons, and muskets. In theory, Mehrsaba could punch above its weight class if they needed to but good luck uniting the princes to a singular cause.
Due to recent developments, such as the disproportionate amount of weapons to manpower, the princes have introduced programs to train the younger men of the peasantry class in operating firearms. These peasants are known as Streltsy militia, and are used to reinforce the mercenary armies as needed.
Navy: The naval capabilities of Mehrsaba are a natural extension of their princes’ ocean trade history as raiders, known as Ushkuiniks. Being a raider-sailor is perhaps one of the few great opportunities a peasant can enjoy due to a guaranteed meal a day. With that being said, the Mehrsabian state has attempted to buy more modern ships from more advanced nations as well as training their peasantry to be able to man these vessels.
Air Force: An innovative technology from overseas, airplanes were being bought by the princes of Mehrsaba from other countries faster than the builders could make airfields for them. Due to its complex nature, pilots are usually from the educated upper class burghers or from the royal families themselves as the peasantry will need time to adapt to it.
Rolls: Roll ID: 88825950585765888 8 - Territory - Your nation is decently sized, with room for a few cities and a decent amount of farmland. 3 - Tech - Your nation is doing poorly, extremely antiquated. Other: International affairs are handled by a council with representatives chosen by each prince of the state known as the Duma. There are 12 princes of the state, each with equal say in the international affairs of said state.
Government: Absolute Monarchy. Representatives from every district of the Empire form a Council that advises the Emperor, but final decision rests with him and those he designates with that power in certain matters and areas (known as Consuls).
Species: The Volanth Empire is made up of hundreds of different species, in varying degrees of populous and influence, from all across the world. It is a safe haven to all. That being said, there are four major species:
Humans: The most fertile of the races, humans are everywhere, able to be seen in great numbers all across the holdings of the Empire, in every conceivable position the Empire has.
Orcs:The original holders of much of the colonies claimed by the Empire, the Orc tribes have long since become accustomed to the rule of the Empire. Averaging at six feet and with an inborn strength, they're drawn to the factories and military of the Empire. The white tattoos on their skin denote tribe, status, and great victories in their lifetimes.
Dragonkin: The original creators of the Volanth Empire, the Dragonkin were once an almighty race, forging their empire with magic and blood. However, since the last dragon died a thousand years ago, they have lost much of their power. Still formidable, they tower at an average of seven feet tall with razor sharp claws. They are largely gathered in the homeland, and make up most of the airforce (in every aspect) of the Empire.
Minotaurs: The Minotaurs are the first race, to have witnessed the power of the original Dragon Gods. As such, they're as feverent as the Dragonkin in their belief in the power of the Dragon Gods, even after death. Dwarfing even the Dragonkin at an average of nine feet tall (counting horns), they are like the humans in terms of location. Spread out amongst all holdings and all professions of the Empire.
Homeland Population: 150 Million
Colonial population: 250 Million
Culture: The Empire's culture varies based on what area you're in. In the Homeland you will find holidays and worship dedicated to the spirits of the Dragon Gods. In the colonies populated by Orcs you will find shrines to Mother Nature to soothe her moods. In the islands you will find offerings to the sea, so that the island may stay above water another hundred years. So on so forth. The Volanth Empire recognizes strength in diversity, and has only pressed two ideals upon it's citizens; Discipline and loyalty. The citizens of the Empire highly value discipline, whether it be in the heat of combat or when working at a factory. People who are seen as having none are often looked down upon. Likewise, those whose loyalty to the Emperor, chosen of the Dragon, is questionable are outcast and suspected.
Territory Claims:
The Empire's holdings are in red.
Economy: While no where near as strong as the Kaiserreich, the economy of the Empire is strong and stable. A mixture of socialist and capitalist, the economy encourages competition while the government regulates and oversees what is deemed as necessities.
Technology: The Empire relies on it's allies and neighbors to give it their newest designs and innovations. While it can certainly produce thousands of copies very quickly, and even thousands more of variations in record time, the Empire itself has only kept up with the changing times, never leading the charge. The Empire is working to change this, having engineers study with the Inventors of the Technocracy.
Army:
The Empire keeps a decent sized army of 6,000,000 (2,000,000 as the home guard and 4,000,000 colonials) standing military at all times, to protect it's borders and holdings. These soldiers of the Empire epitomize the values of discipline and loyalty even more than the average citizen, more than willing to hold any position needed of them, even at the cost of their own lives. This is especially seen in the unofficial motto. "The only time the enemy shall see our backs is when we are dead."
If push comes to shove and the Empire is called to a true war, it can call a conscription and swell it's armies to even greater size. The very discipline that makes this possible without a drop in the Empire's skill at production makes this process slow, however. It would take the better part of a year for the conscription to be considered complete.
The army of the Empire is equipped with the Dragon's Vengeance (DV) Model 1889 (Based off of the IRL Mosin-Nagant). The bolt-action five round rifle was created in response to the aggressive expansion of the Ulgyrikinan Kingdom, which resulted in several Empire colonies being taken, and was pivotal in reclaiming lost territory. Due to the Empire's skill in production, and the capitalist nature of the companies making the weapons, dozens of variations have been made and are in service, from the long barreled sniper rifle, to the short and efficient carbine for cavalry, and almost everything in between. While not the deadliest or newest rifle on the market, the DVM1889 is extremely reliable, almost never failing in the field. This, above all else, is what Empire's military values.
Designed along similar lines, the Vengeance Model 1890 (Based off of the IRL Nagant Model 1895) is a seven shot pistol that every soldier of the Imperial Legions carry, reliable and rugged.
Having learned from the sudden invasion of the Ulgyrikinan Kingdom, the Empire has since garnered designs for machine guns from the Kaiserreich, and has begun mass producing them. Specifically the Dragon's Breath Model 1895 has come into great popularity for their accuracy and reliability (Based off of the IRL Colt Browning M1895) These deadly weapons are a part of every facet of the Empire's military, especially in the colonies. They are key to the Empire's defense against any sudden attack.
Your average imperial troop is referred to as Guardians. These are the troops that volunteered or were conscripted into the military. They make up sixty percent of the imperial military, or 3,600,000 troops.
The ones that are trained with Etresnakiten techniques, and serve as a professional vanguard force, are known as Legionaries. They make up forty percent of the imperial military, or 2,400,000 troops.
The Empire recognizes the value of artillery, and does it's utmost to have the best artillery available. In lieu of that, they ensure that their artillery crews are the most accurate and best trained in the world. Currently the Empire has 17,000 pieces of artillery, with more in production.
10,000 of the best troops the Empire has to offer are recruited into the Dragon's Claws, the personal bodyguards of the Emperor and the capital. The serve as his direct influence on the outside world. They are the most elite unit the Empire has to offer. Utterly loyal, they only answer to the Emperor himself.
Host: 500,000 troops, or five Legions. Commanded by a military Consul.
Legion: 100,000 troops, or two Corps. Commanded by a Legate.
Corp: 50,000 troops, or two Divisions. Commanded by a Colonel.
Division: 25,000 troops, or two Regiments. Commanded by a General.
Regiment: 12,500 troops, or two Battalions. Commanded by a Commanded by a Centurion.
Battalion: 6,250 troops, or four Companies. Commanded by an Optio.
Company: 1,500 troops, or two Platoons. Commanded by a Pilus.
Platoon: 750 troops, or fifteen Sections. Commanded by a Lieutenant.
Section: 50 troops, or ten Squads. Commanded by a Sergeant.
Squad: 5 troops. Commanded by a Squad Leader.
Despite all this, the Empire generally prefers to influence wars and such from the background, using their strong economical and production influence to lend considerable aid to the side of their choice. To further this end, the Empire has agents in every nation. Their positioning, numbers, and usefulness varies considerably from nation to nation, but they are there nonetheless.
Navy: The Empire keeps a decent amount of merchant vessels in active service, with a small amount of actual military vessels, but must rely on allies for true naval warfare. With it's alliance to the Kaiserreich, the Empire has slowly begun to build it's military navy. Currently, it has a military fleet of 130 ships. 30 Battleships, 20 Destroyers, 20 Scout cruisers, 30 Torpedo Boats, and 30 Armored Cruisers. More are being produced.
Air Force: The Empire is one of the nations at the head of the air race, having the largest aerial fleet of all of the world. As a nation founded on the wings of dragons, it knows all to well the power controlling the skies can bring it. It is constantly seeking new designs from allies and neighbors, to further refine and increase its fleet.
Currently, the Imperial Dragons boasts an air force of 700 planes (300 bombers and 400 planes) and 150 airships, with more in production.

National Relationships
The Kaiserreich: The Empire has a strong and close alliance with the Kaiserreich, each nation using it's strengths to cover the other's weaknesses.
The Sacred Kingdom: The Empire is on icy terms with the Kingdom. Only ten years ago did the Colonial War(also known as the Crusade of 1885 by the Sacred Kingdom) between them end, and the Kingdom still holds onto territory the Empire sees as rightfully its. Things have not gone so far as to completely cut off the selling of Imperial goods, however.
The Confederate States of Cantor: The Empire and the CSC have a trade agreement, and are on amicable terms with one another.
The Technocracy: The Empire has a strong alliance with the Technocracy. In return for the latest designs of the Technocracy and allowing select Imperial Engineers to study with Tezzar Inventors, the Technocracy gets Imperial imports at a low price and Imperial aid in making the international railway. There is a general agreement of military aid.
The Princely States: In return for raw materials at a very cheap price, the Empire is helping the Princes with their airforce, and selling them finished products.
The Democratic States: TBD
The Enlightened Realm: The Realm of Etresna and the Empire have a strong alliance. The Empire recognizes the Etresnakiten professional military as far more elite than Imperial regular troops, that the Etresnakiten sit upon a massive stockpile of natural resources, and their craftsman are of the highest quality. In return for helping the Etresnan's modernize and supplying them with artillery (and training them in it), the Realm has been training Imperial troops to the professional level, resulting in the creation of the Legionaries.
In an attempt to bring the Etresnakiten engineers in line with the rest of the world technologically, the Empire has brought some of them to it's own Engineer Corp, trying to help convince the rest of the nobility that it is time to focus on Engineering and Technology rather than psychology, medicine, and the arts.
Name of Nation: Etresna, the Enlightened Realm, the Mountain Sentinels
Government: Enlightened Despotism - although ruled by a monarch with great power, the governing principles of the state stretch back for eons, each Raijen or Raijan - the male or female rulers of the nation, are chosen by an elected council of the wisest minds in the nation. The system has worked well thus far, but the scholarly nature of its ruling elite has lead to some stagnation of more practical innovations.
Species: Etresnakiten - ostensibly human, the Etresnakiten people tend to stand a few inches taller than most, with solid figures and a diverse array of eye colors. Unlike humans, however, they have unusually long lifespans - with the eldest living to over two hundred years, and a life of a hundred or more is far from uncommon. In olden times, they were among the most innovative of all cultures - and their propensity for artisan craftsmanship has lasted throughout the ages, albeit at the cost of efficiency. Unlike other humanoid species, their musculature between the sexes is considerably more equal, with both sexes sporting abnormally dense muscle and bone tissue.
Population: 160 million
Culture: Historically a fairly inward looking nation after their conquest of the Arkys river valley and surrounding deserts and estuaries, the people of Etresna have nonetheless perpetuated a strangely martial but scholarly culture. A warrior is expected to be able to end his or her foe with a single rifle shot - and to be able to compose a flowing poem of said victory. That ideal is rarely realized, and much of the nation’s society is polarized between their militarily strong, if isolationist, past, and the forward looking scholars that strive to push the boundaries of their creativity. In modern times, the latter have begun to prevail, as the nation’s mountainous borders have prevented major military action on their part for many years. Among their own people, there is a strong sense of egalitarianism - there are very few or no restrictions upon the rights of individuals or positions they can hold, regardless of sex or otherwise.
Economy: A major powerhouse, Etresna’s economy is heavily focused around a booming manufacturing sector fueled by vast raw material reserves in their mountainous nation. While not the most advanced technologically, its sheer manufacturing power can keep up with much larger nations, the mountains supplying a seemingly endless resource of ore and other materials. In the river valley below, an ancient and long devolved slave race, barely resembling humans anymore in their hunched over, almost quadrupedal gait, tend to elaborately constructed farms sprawling from the river, massive engineering works constantly underway to further expand the nation’s agricultural prowess.
Technology: For much of its history a technological powerhouse, Etresna has fallen behind in recent times, while hardly archaic, much of their technology is aging and past its prime. The nation’s scholarly elite seemingly devoting themselves more and more to the arts and the mind than the grit of machinery and smoke of modern technology. There is a burgeoning faction within the nation, however, pushing for a second look at its priorities, and with some nudging the nation may be able to reclaim some of its former glory as an innovator. They import many designs from foreign nations to make up for their lack of development on their own, often trading the luxury goods produced in artisan craft shops.
Army: The Mativityyrihryttariki, the Many Children of War, serve as the armed forces of the Realm. Not a vast organization by any means, the army is standing year round and numbers about two hundred thousand professional, excellently trained and equipped troops. The physiology of the Etresnakiten is subtly different from most other humans, with male and female musculature highly similar, and as such their military is roughly 40% composed of women, who serve full responsibility in frontline and support roles. Indeed, one of the youngest but most gifted high level commanders of the army is over sixty years of age, covered in scars and war wounds from myriad engagements in the nation’s sole foray into colonization - the peninsular colony of Taviskerri and island colony of Tavchykerri.
The army, should it be pressed, can draw on the significant population of the Realm, and all citizens are required to undergo marksmanship training and basic combat instruction from the ages of twenty through eighty. As such, they are capable of quickly swelling their ranks with moderately skilled soldiers should the need to prevent or begin a full blown invasion arise.
Notable Figures
Firahl Kyni Panarre: The foremost field commander and tactical mind of the Realm’s land forces, Firahl does not hold supreme command, but does hold considerable localized command authority, and more importantly - great influence with the ruling classes and her superior. Considered by many to be an expert in desert and mountain warfare - unsurprising considering the terrain of the nation - she sits at sixty two years of age, with active duty service from the age of twenty.
Deployed to the field in the Expeditionary Force to aid the Empire in their war with the Sacred Kingdom, Panarre spearheaded a massive counterattack at the head of a twenty thousand strong contingent of regulars, the seasoned and excellently trained soldiers suffering minimal casualties in long distance sustained engagements. Her most famous achievement is her double encirclement of SK forces in said counterattack, decisively winning the operation in that theatre of the war.
Azhis Dahtkah Fyrra: Supreme commander of the Realm’s land forces, Azhis is rarely seen in public, remaining an elusive figure to all but the highest echelons of the Realm’s command structure. Highly competent in strategic planning, she delegates much of the actual order of battle to subordinates more experienced with specific tactical situations.
Her genius lies in her patience and her far reaching network of contacts. To her, half the battle is having superior military intelligence, and she potentially has hundreds if not thousands of would be assassins, spies, suicidal fanatics, and other assets at her beck and cal should she require something taken care of. Little is known about her, even her age - speculation ranges widely, with some even suggesting seriously that she could be well into her second century.
A foe will never glimpse her on the battlefield, or even on the field in general - her position is and always will be in her office, processing the vast intelligence brought to her by scouts and spies and compiling it into an overarching strategy. A chess master moving her pawns to and fro.
The Realm’s soldiers are equipped with the finest weapons money can buy: Based off of imported designs, with heavy modification, the Realm’s standard issue service rifle is the Sijatazhijkidaiir Vyye 1898 - Repeat Firearm 1898 - a finely crafted weapon tested to high tolerances, assembled and largely produced by hand to exacting specifications. Feeding from an eight round internal magazine, the weapon is capable of surprising rates of fire for a bolt action weapon when placed in the hands of the phenomenally well trained Etresnakiten army. Chambered for the .276 Kasanfirre round, the weapon has a smaller projectile traveling at far higher velocities than the battle rifles of many other nations. In addition, all rank and file soldiers as well as officer are issued the Suinnadaiir Vyye 1900: A sturdy five shot revolver chambered in a potent and recently developed .38 caliber cartridge. Capable of propelling its 158 grain load at speeds exceeding 1100 feet per second, it is a potent close quarters weapon, and an expensive one too.
However, the realm is still lacking in artillery and automatic weaponry, with machine guns purchased abroad reserved only for those regiments on the frontlines and on active duty on mountain patrol and the like. This is slowly being remedied by close cooperation with the Empire, however.
Navy: The navy historically not been Etresna’s true strong suit, and their military is composed solely of a few squadrons of gunboats, a pre-dreadnought battleship purchased from the Reich, and a pair of relatively modern cruisers, also commissioned from the Reich. The cost of purchasing foreign made ships is uncomfortable for the nation, however, and as such they have committed to maintaining relative independence of supply should they find themselves cut off from maritime trade. Adafarry Daruhl Mazatsi: The supreme commander of the Realm’s modest naval forces, Adafarry is nontheless a man who commands respect. While the forces at his disposal are modest, his years of experience serving both with the Realm’s navy and the navies of other nations, well over a hundred and fifty years, makes him and his fleet a formidable foe for most any commander to face. Should be be placed at command of a true war fleet, he could wreak unimaginable havoc.
Air Force: Beyond a small handfull of early and poorly maintained, slow moving aircraft suitable only for short scouting patrols in remote terrain, Etresna has no air force to speak of. However, their firm military alliance with the Empire ensures there is often an aerial response force on loan or otherwise to render assistance should it be required.

-Their relation with the Reich has been historically frosty, but has warmed somewhat in recent years, with the Realm purchasing three warships from their southern neighbor.
-By far their strongest relation is with the Volanth Empire. Stretching back to the war known amongst Imperials as “The Great Shame”, Etresnakiten forces played a pivotal role in the evacuation of several Imperial divisions in the early onset, Commander Panarre was granted theatre wide command over possibly the most intense part of the war, leading the twenty thousand strong expeditionary force as the spearhead in a devastating double envelopment that decisively ended operations in the favor of the Empire in that theatre of the war.
Since then, the ties between the two nations have only strengthened, with the famous quality of its training and the troops it produces, the Realm has offered its services in instruction of a vanguard force for the empire, not quite to the same standards as the professional Etresnakiten forces, but far superior from the rank and file conscript and volunteers that form the bulk of Imperial forces. The two are in a solid military alliance, sworn to aid in defense or offense. The Realm offers seasoned and expertly trained shock troops for spearheading any Imperial assaults, and serves as a nigh impassable obstacle to any invader unfortunate enough to have them in the way. In turn - the empire provides substantial aerial and naval support, and the Realm has a unique discount on purchasing warships from the Empire until such time as they can adequately produce them on their own.
In addition, there are strong economic ties between the two - with Etresna supplying its own vast industrial capacity and artisan products, among other trade goods, in exchange for large scale investment and restructuring of its manufacturing base and technological state. The Empire is undertaking to revitalize the stagnating state of the Realm’s technology, and has imported hundreds of Etresnakiten engineers to study modern technology imported from abroad, as well as Imperial innovations of their own. Combined with imperial pressure and the voices of newly educated engineers, the state is rapidly beginning the process of full modernization, with large scale construction projects underway to completely replace their port facilities and implement full scale rollout of an electrical grid across all major population center.
