Gonna close off entries now, but @Scout and @Inkarnate, welcome to the team. I do like that we have a bit of a mix now with both male and female characters, a good blend of character origins, alomg with a nice variance of ranged and melee types.

I will start to work on an IC soon enough so that I can make references to the world and hopefully each character. Got a few ideas so may look at starting up with either something a bit action based, or a gradual introduction.

Thanks, Nutts! Looking forward to it :)

Edit: I have a couple questions btw, I noticed it was asked but I can't find a very specific answer... How long ago did The Great War end?

Second question: will we have an opportunity to make a second character later in the roleplay? If not, that's cool, but I had a Faunus character from a while back I might like to revamp for the time period, just thinking of a) how I can do that and b) if we'll be allowed. ^^

And lastly, just a side note, as it was mentioned in the Interest Check, the Faunus Civil Rights movement doesn't have a specific date or year it began, but on the page about the Great War, it is mentioned that that the movement definitely came after the war.

I believe I either read it in the interest check or maybe in a Discord conversation that the Great War ended about 3-5 years prior to the start of the RP, if that's any help to you. I think it's being kept somewhat ambiguous because the exact detail hasn't been necessary to the RP, but it has to be a certain number of years afterward to give a chance for the Academies to get up and running, but not long enough for there to be actual graduates. The training could have started right away even while the Academies were under construction, and it takes four years to graduate, so closer to the 3 year mark might work best overall.

(not trying to supplant the GM or anything, just trying to provide info from what I remember seeing being said + adding some interpretation of the OOC details about how cadets are being picked for this assignment prior to there being any real graduates, hopefully to save some time for Nutts when he's more available to answer questions)

I don't have any info on number of characters, since this is the first time the question was raised; I'd be interested in knowing the answer to that, too.

@Tergonaut Ahh, I must have overlooked the 3-5 year stuff, but that doesn't sound wrong.

With this knowledge going in I might elaborate on my sheet given the wartime, but lately I’ve been trying to go for a more simplistic and vague style so I can get to RPing instead of spending fourteen days on a CS.

Shoot!
Sorry, I saw the original message but never saw the edit.

Great war ended 80 years prior to the series, so that's why there's a lack of abundant tech. Think how 80 years ago from now is the 1940s, but since the RWBY universe has advanced to AI and cybernetics, it'll be easy to create a world that's a mix of old and modern tech.

Currently I haven't got plans for second characters, but that's not a no answer. The goal I'd like is that as things naturally progress you'll naturally want to explore and branch out a bit. The storyline I have at the moment is a rather simple adventure (with a loose end), but that's only so that as we venture forth I can gauge the level of interest in certain elements and progress.

The Faunus Civil Rights movement is gonna be later as there is no actual date for it. We could possibly explore that later as a future arc, like an aftershock for the war, but for the time being we can treat it as though it hasn't occurred yet.

That's all good and was pretty accurate anyways. Things don't happen overnight and we aren't baking a cake for the story, so some of those details can be a little... vague.

Gonna start to work on the IC today. Had a bit of stuff to do but hopefully I can knuckle down and get into it. :)

Evidently it works for Nutts and does not contradict Sep Felder's backstory [which explicitly mentions the war], so it looks like its canon enough.

IC is up and starting off with a bit of steamy wet action. ;D

So I found a rough image for what the Grimm can look like as well as some details for comparison in danger level if the players are about a level of 5 out of 10.

I should acquire a fancy banner too. Really should, but having a complete lack of any sort of photoshop skills or anything of the sort, it will have to wait. For now, time to work on a post before gaming entraps me.

@Eisenhorn
Been reading through your post and I cant help but notice the extended length in many of your paragraphs. Typically dialogue requires a new paragraph when a new speaker begins their line, and paragraphs are also used to break up the arduous reading time. To gain an understanding of my point of view, look at the dialogue without the coloured text—as a reader—and see if you can pin point exactly who is currently in the spotlight speaking role.

If you don't mind, would you please address this for me?

Edit: Reading through, their should be there.
"Alarm means Grimm. Ye don't got the money to get me to ride this coach in their brazenly, or quietly for that matter. If ye ain't ridin' back with me, yer on yer own. It's a bloody deathtrap in there, I'm telling ye."

And
Some young woman was peering out at the Grimm as well, the why eluding him at this distance, but he had his suspicion. Huntress probably, given she wasn't just running.

Bare in mind that Lorral isn't currently alone thanks to Inkarnate's post.

I can also make quick simple banners like I’ve done for my character if you guys want.

@NuttsnBolts Force of habit in regards to the paragraph set up, even though you are completely correct in regards to starting new paragraphs. I can certainly get that patched up, will certainly change how it looks, but if it reads smoother, fine by me.

That was more of a case of Sep, far as I understood the prior posts, not being able to see anyone else from his position. Not so much omitted due to forgetting, but due to not being able to actually see said person from his point of view. I can certainly alter that if it makes it easier, though.

EDIT: Got the paragraphs better spaced out and addressed the misuse of their versus there. Apologies on that minor one, probably should have woken up a bit more before posting properly.
