Shrug. To me, personally, I don't see the difference between a chatroom and a forum thread other than ease of access. Constantly having to refresh for replies can get obnoxious. Also, I've been able to hash out relationships between characters much faster in chatrooms compared to OOC threads, but that could just be me. Regardless, here are the WIP sheets of my characters.

Well, guess I finally finished the base version (Pending the end of the bio, as I'm still thinking about it) of my sheet. In the end, this guy did end up pretty strong when compared to the standard of the RP... And boy, it's angsty asf history-wise. Nothing that lots of personality flaws and purposefully included weaknesses can't change, I guess...

Tell me your thoughts~ @ItsAnan

Here is a first draft of my character. I have one more ability I want to write, but it will have to wait for now.

Ayyy, genin buds. I'm gonna finish my jonin before I finish my genin but I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one playing one haha.

ninja edit: for the record, Kaiten is distinctly Hyuuga only because of "Members of the Hyūga clan are uniquely able to expel chakra from any or all of their tenketsu, and have created jutsu such as the Eight Trigrams Palms Revolving Heaven to specifically take advantage of tha"

... and why on Earth would the Hyuuga teach someone else anything with how concerned they are about their eyes being stolen? Particularly someone outside the village? It seems... I dunno, odd. And if it was replicable, then the Gentle Fist would be a lot more common--ability to close tenketsu or not, internal organ damage at a touch is monstrous.

@Halvtand The kaiten on its own is a pretty good reason to learn it over most other forms, and it's a martial arts style that lets you do massive damage with a touch. I'm just saying that if it's something that can be copied, derivatives would presumably exist in more than one place. And... well, it just seems bizarrely unlikely that the defector would be a Hyuuga, then have the rest of the family do nothing about it. The rest of the family, mind, apparently letting either some sort of genius go or the main branch--since, hey, Kaiten isn't part of the basics. And then this advanced part is perfectly copiable? It's a really convoluted train of thought for one ability. @_@

Also I do worry about having a character with some sort of familial obligation to kill a genin. That's just awkward. xD

This is the old CS that I'll adapt to the format when I have the time. Feel free to look over it if you want, but know that it's subject to change :)

So, until we make a decision on the whole Discord issue, should we keep this OOC running so we don't lull to a stop? An active OOC makes for an active RP - or so I've been told.

.:EDIT:.

Who is your favorite and least favorite character in the manga/anime?

Hinata is my favorite, Never really considered a least favorite. Maybe Danzo.

If i had to choose one, my favorite would be Shisui. Least favorite is undoubtedly Danzo.

I'm one of the few who actually like Naruto himself the best. I dislike the fact that he has magic sob-stories that make bad girls go good, but that's not exactly his fault as a character, since it's the work of the plot-monster.

My least favorite character would likely be *drumroll* A. I can't exactly say why, but I just dislike his whole character with a passion.

@Halvtand TL;DR. Sorry, but I've never seen anything good out of someone replying to every sentence with a paragraph. But for the last part 'is it close enough': kaiten. Yes. Of course it's close enough when you have one of the exact techniques.

@The Mad Hatter Hinata for favourite, Sasuke for least favourite. Closely followed by Sakura. Terribly written useless lumps, the pair of 'em.

Though I'm not sure that keeping the OOC going is going to help when the GM hasn't been on in over two days now.

Speaking from personal experience as both a GM and a PbP roleplayer through 15 years; sometimes, life happens when we least want it to. Maybe our dear GM just got busy and will return in a day or two. If (S)he comes back to find a dead OOC, (s)he'll assume that the RP has died and move on. If (s)he comes back to find an OOC that is thriving, (s)he will feel like the premise (s)he has created is actually interesting enough to keep people at it, even if there is a few days lull.

I think you're more optimistic about people vanishing right after getting a thread up than I am.

Also, your daily reminder that singular they is a valid gender-neutral pronoun. xD

Perhaps. I think I'd more likely say I'm too stubborn and lazy to keep applying for RPs that just go belly up right away. As mentioned, I've been doing this for 15 years. That's a long time. I've grown tired of starting over all the time, so I fan the flames of a dying fire rather than just building a new one.
Besides, I don't think a few days is a long time. I'm sometimes gone for weeks and none of my usual comrades (like Halvtand) bats an eye at it 'cause they know I'll eventually return and get right back into it.

I'm not sure that the length of time you've been roleplaying directly translates to stubbornness, unless there's some magical difference between ten years and fifteen. XD

People vanishing for weeks at a time is something rather concerning.

Anyhow, I'm baffled that your least favourite character is A, of all people. Pretty minor role, all things considered.
