We start with the recently orphaned daughter a once wealthy privateer working under whatever authoritative force claims theses seas, call it the Empire. Before he died, he buried his massive fortune accumulated over a very successful career and left his daughter with the map. Left with nothing since her father refused to pay his debts, she decides it's best to search for her fathers treasure instead. She convinces a privateer crew to take her and get the job done, but she must keep the map secret and act as navigator since nothing stops the men from throwing her off and taking the map, fortunately the map is coded and quite convoluted so those who are illiterate (common in these times) cant read it, so she has that going for her. Anyway, the privateer ship goes looking for crew members, and that's where we come in. Our characters are hired as Poweder Monkeys and such. So the voyage starts and things are horribly shit. We work horrible hours, feed almost nothing, and are constantly beat, this coupled with rumours of a female aboard and that the navigator has little to know idea where they are going, talk of mutany are surfacing, and out characters are at the head of it. Soon it is revealed that on the crew members hired (ate female characters must dress and act as boys, females are bad luck on ships) and she is nearly beat to death. Our character's insight the mutany, cominder the ship, find out the girl has a treasure map, and we ge hunting as a brand new pirate crew.
