Lucrica Saronge

Name: Lucrica Saronge
Age: 23
Lineage: Mudblood
School/house: Hogwarts/Hufflepuff
Patronus: Doe
Strengths:
- Healing
- Herbology
- Care of Ancient Creatures
- Potions
- Apparition
Weaknesses:
- Hexes
- Defences Against the Dark Arts
- Charms
Personality: Unlike the bulk (if not all) of Lucrica's peers, Lucrica does not possess an 'alpha' personality. Softspoken and gentle hearted; Lucrica's more than happy to melt into the shadows, and she seems to do that a lot. In fact, she's not a big fan of the limelight. In saying this, Lucrica isn't one to blindly follow the 'alphas'. She's more than happy to be left to her own devices and it isn't uncommon for her to simply disappear from a group at her own will. If she doesn't agree with something she's more likely to distance herself from the situation than to speak up. She'll often return late to check on the group and re-join them if she wishes. Lucrica is a rather quiet person, generally one to 'keep her mouth locked until it counts'. In saying that, she'll happily have lighthearted conversations with friends. She's a rather sweet person and can be a great listener. She loves her friends dearly.

Lucrica is rather shy and will rarely strike up a conversation with anyone but her peers. She doesn't necessarily make friends easy as she makes no effort to reach out to people in that way. She likes to be alone with either creatures or her own thoughts... a lot so she can be rather distant at times, both literally and figuratively. She's rather awkward and practically has 2 left feet. She can also be rather naive about a lot of things.

Bio: Lucrica was born in Ireland, where she resided for the first 10 years of her life. She was the only child of two hard-working parents. Two hard-working parents who scarcely turned her blind eye. Lucrica was often left to her own devices. Not that she minded, she liked it that way. She cherished the little time her parents paid her attention but found ways to entertain herself through mainly playing the piano, caring for her puppy and wandering nearby lands. That all changed when Lucrica was shipped off to her grandmother's. Money was becoming tighter by the month and her parents felt it best to pass her over to her father's widowed mother in England, who had the funds to care for the child. Lucrica and her grandmother got along well. Although she would occasionally rob Lucrica of her beloved alone time she loved her grandmother dearly. That was when the letter came.

At the first letter the pair thought it some elaborate pranso They'd think it ended up at the wrong house had it not had Lucrica's uncommon name on the letter it's fabulous font. Then it kept happening. Over and over letters arrived, eventually by the hundreds. Finally a neighbour, who had been recognising the chaos, had a visit. He, himself being a wizard, told her about Hogwarts and magic and, come time, she left on that magical train.

Through her years at Hogwarts she never did anything truly noteworthy. She excelled greatly at healing and caring for animals, topping her classes in those subjects. However, almost anything outside of those area and potions that involved her using her wand or chanting a spell didn't always end up well. Of course, she eventually gained enough skill to do well enough but was never top notch.

Never the best of spellcasters so why and how did she become an Auror? Being an Auror is more than detaining evil wizards. Well, actually, it isn't, but your evil wizard isn't going to make themselves an easy target, if they're good at least. To catch an Auror they need to be found and stopped and their progress unwound. And those that do the detaining side? Well they need to be cared for. Lucrica never did well at the hexes and defences against the dark arts but she is and exceptional healer and potion-maker. Her skill in apparition could come in handy too.

Celio Pegaso

Name: Celio Pegaso
Age: 22
Lineage: Pure Blood
School/house: Beauxbatons
Patronus: Iberian Lynx
Personality:

A smug, spoiled rich kid, Celio makes an impression on just about everyone he meets. Celio has had very little stand in his way over the years and isn't going to start letting it now. He is confident in his own ability to reach any goal he sets for himself, believing it's just a matter of time, resources, and skill. He's been told his entire life he's better. His own successes and experience having reinforced that, and he has come to take it as fact. He likes to surround himself with similarly talented or gifted people, ignoring those he feels are beneath him. Celio is clever and perceptive, not always relying on his Legilimency to figure out what someone is thinking. He delights in figuring out just what that is and turning it on his enemies. As another result of his privileged life, he can be materialistic and indulgent at times. He has no issue spending money on the finest clothes, food and equipment. When the crew has a night out, he pays. Some question his reasons for being an Auror, as it seems he's just in it for the power and privilege. He'll be the first to agree, but in reality, there's something within him that reminds him that someone needs to fight the good fight. Someone needs to get their hands dirty for those who can't.

Bio:

Born into a wealthy pure blood family, Celio had a privileged upbringing. Maximiliano Pegaso was the latest wizard in a long line of Aurors. Maximiliano and Tatiana met in their Auror training. Though she didn't quite make it through training, she landed a good job in the Spanish Ministry. The two married and had three children: Estela, Celio, Renato. As a child, Celio was given just about everything he asked for, and only the finest. Though the days of blood supremacy were on their way out, his family was very sure of its own superiority in general. Magical or not, they had money and influence.

It's no surprise that he became well-known in his time at Beauxbatons, for better or for worse. Through his family connections, he already had friends upon arriving at school. In addition, he went out of his way to establish further connections with the more talented of his peers, all while pointedly ignoring those he felt unworthy of his time. Following in a similar vein as his parents and older sister, he excelled at most of his classes while managing to get in good graces with all but the sternest of teachers. He had a reputation for audacity, immediately trying out for the Quidditch team on his brand-new broom (he didn't make it) and asking out his fifth-year sister's friend to the Winter Ball (she said no).

By the middle of his second year, Celio had given up on the Quidditch team after finding the Dueling Club. While he still loved Quidditch (a Pamplona fan, naturally), the art of Dueling caught his attention. The one-on-one matchup of magical skill and reflexes was exhilarating. He delighted in pitting himself against another, armed with only their wits and wands. Celio was particularly notable among the younger duelists, in that he was the first to really begin reading his opponents. Through his opponent's body language and what he could recall of his opponent's previous matches, he was able start predicting their movements. Then it was during a duel in his third year that something else first happened. Thiago Melo, one of the worst in the club, had been unfortunate enough to be matched against Celio. It should have been a quick match, but Celio took the opportunity to mess with Thiago and draw out the match. As Celio made a show of countering each spell Thiago flung his way almost as soon as it had been cast, the two met eyes.

For just a moment, Celio could feel Thiago's intense frustration and dislike. He also just knew that Thiago meant to direct a jinx directly at Celio's face after feigning a stumble backwards. Caught off guard by this sensation, Celio came to a halt just as Thiago pretended to stumble backwards. He was trying to process what had happened when he felt something like a hot egg cracking on his cheek, and he fell backward. His fury at losing such an easy duel was only overshadowed by his confusion as to what he had done. Despite his half-hearted attempts to claim he'd let Thiago win, everyone had clearly seen Celio caught off guard by what they assumed to be Thiago's "trick." That evening he sent an owl to his mother, receiving a quick response telling him only that he shouldn't worry, but also not tell anyone what had really happened.

When he next went home for Christmas, he was introduced to the concept of Legilimency and began to train quietly each time he went home. Over the next few years, as his skill in Legilimency grew, he learned to exploit it. This was in direct opposition to his family's many warnings. At first it was small things, seeing as it was nearly impossible to do it without eye contact and speaking the incantation. By the time he had learned to cast nonverbal magic, he was making great use of his ability in duels, his classes, and even sometimes his dating life. By avoiding use in front of the shrewder professors, he thought he could get away with anything, even managing to pull exam information out of his other teachers.

Eventually his secret got out. He would never figure out where he had slipped up, but the school knew. He was a Legilimens. And yet, for some reason it seemed they had convinced themselves he was less skilled than he was. Most seemed perfectly content to accept that he was just good at reading people in general (which he was). Still there were those he had wronged among the student body who tried to claim he couldn't be trusted. Celio was pleased to learn a few students had taken up Occlumency, for in this he observed something that only fed his smugness. Many of those students, thinking they were safe in guarding their minds, foolishly took no care in watching their own body language. Duels against these self-proclaimed Occlumens were among the quickest. And yet, even this wasn't the biggest news of his final year.

It's no surprise that Celio had planned to be an Auror from day one. It was in his blood. His father was head of the Auror Department, his sister was one of the best young Aurors, he loved dueling, and of course there was a desire deep within him to make the world a safer place. Not that he ever said that last part out loud. However, shortly before Easter in his final year, Estela was killed on a routine investigation. Devastated, his family withdrew from the public eye for a full two weeks. During this time, Celio's father took the blame on himself. As her father, and head of the department the responsibility was his. Worried for his son, Maximiliano forbade Celio from becoming an Auror, making it clear he would be rejected immediately. He pleaded with his mother to talk to his father, but shaken by Estela’s death, even she couldn't bring herself to confront Maximiliano. Despite continued warnings that he’d be immediately rejected, Celio continued in his efforts to become an Auror. To no one's surprise but his own, he was indeed rejected upon applying for the Auror training program despite his top marks.

Heartbroken, he confronted Maximiliano once more, but the man had become even more stubborn. Celio found himself stuck. They very man who had opened all the other doors in his life now stood before the one closed door Celio desired to go through. A mixture of dedication, pride, and spite was what eventually drove him to search for positions in other countries. He made use of his own connections, but found that Maximiliano's influence stretched farther than expected, blocking him from joining the Auror programs in France and Portugal with his friends from school. Eventually he made his connection through his mother's brother, an ambassador to the Ministry of Magic in the UK. Celio was accepted to their Auror training program and made it through the three years. He butt heads with his fellow students on many occasions, but he managed to prove himself a valuable member of the team time and time again.

Relations

Izaiah: Izaiah has always been there lurking in the shadows, too much for Mandy to really take notice of him. Throughout Hogwarts Mandy could never work out why he had so much disdain for her, she was charming and beautiful; what’s not to like?
She was always appreciative of him as he had been the one to introduce her to the wealth of Slytherin friends she had, the friendship group that would help her survive the disappointment that Hogwarts was. One fourth year Herbology class she had noticed this peculiar boy cracking jokes and messing around, once they were paired up to learn the orchideous charm they spent the lesson conjuring bouquets of roses whilst trying to poke each other with the thorns. Their next Herbology class together had been equally as fun, being taught the properties and uses of bubotuber pus, which Mandy’s ancestor Sachrissa Tugwood had discovered, left her bored as she already had in depth knowledge of it’s uses in beauty potions, the one member of the class not impressed that she was related to a famous witch was Izaiah. Their only contact was during these lessons and the two became quite a pair of mischief's, only further decreasing her Ravenclaw peers opinion of her as every lesson the pair shared would mean multiple house points slipping away. It was after that years Herbology exam, Izaiah had waited outside the hall eagerly for her, wishing to laugh at their joint failure. He led her through the grounds in the summer sun to a group of Slytherins relaxing on the grass. That would be the last day Mandy and Izaiah had a direct conversation until Auror training. The remainder of Hogwarts she saw less and less of Izaiah’s wit, only seeing him as the boy that tagged along with the Slytherin quidditch players. She could never understand why he had such a problem with her dating Zach, jealously she presumed. Izaiah was most likely jealous that Zach wanted to spend his time with her rather than go over quidditch tactics. Zach was already naturally talented enough, he didn’t need to pour over diagrams like the rest of the team did.

Whilst previously she had just thought he was a little odd, her dislike really came from the first few months in Auror training, he was the one who told her Zach was cheating on her during his Quidditch tour. He never showed much inclination he was sad about the fact his best friend had hurt her so much, she theorised that Iz had never thought she was good enough for Zach, which is something she despised, people looking down on her. Mandy was determined to show him with all her might that she was going to be the best damn Auror he’d ever seen. Although she disliked him Iz was the only person she was really familiar with during the first year, so they ended up begrudgingly spending time together especially through the most gruelling of months when they both were too exhausted to make new friends and more importantly, too tired to bicker.

Dexter: Originally, Mandy only tolerated Dexter, she wanted to see Izaiah fail as much as he did. She saw him as a good ally to have, both talented at charms in their own way she knew they would make a complementary duo, the only reason for her assisting him with his studies. He often tried to bring her back down to earth, which is something she did not appreciate, his morality annoyed her, she wondered how he would ever be cut throat enough for this line of work. Whenever someone had a bad word to say about her Dexter would always cut in, defending her. She didn’t need his protection, didn’t he know she’d spent 7 long years at hogwarts hexing anyone for giving her so much as a dirty look?

Demetria: Well, innately Mandy isn’t as impressed with her professional quidditch status as everyone else seems to be. She’ll give it to her, Dem is gorgeous in her natural form, but Mandy really fails to see how wearing unflattering converse is attractive to anybody, her only redeeming fashion sense is her leather cloak, but honestly it wouldn’t kill her change it up once in a while. Due to both of their quick tempered nature, they’ve clashed on more than one occasion, something Mandy quickly calculated had to stop if her friendship with Dex was to continue. She can see why they are together but wish they would cool off sometimes, in her opinion romance will not get you anywhere, it’s more important to focus on the task at hand.

Keira: Keira reminded Mandy all too much of the Ravenclaw girls she so desperately distanced herself from. From Mandy’s first day at Hogwarts she remembers the energetic second year with a grating Australian accent always trying to be the best. Keira is everything Mandy probably should be, yet Mandy found that so utterly boring. Standing outside the common room Keira often approached the young Mandy ready to help her answer the riddle ‘This is a fun one!’ she would sing, Mandy burnt all bridges there by striding away muttering under her breath.

Celio: Impressed by their similar tastes for the finer things in life, Mandy respects Celio for being as outspoken and confident as she is. They get along famously, bouncing off of each others eccentricity and talent. Although still not exceptional at the art of occlumency, she is extremely grateful for his help in her training. She trusts him not to be too invasive, partly because he knows she’ll beat him in a duel, despite his advantages. Celio has been the closest at beating Mandy during tournaments, but he’s never quite been able to seal the deal, which Mandy takes great delight in reminding him, though not too often as she knows not to damage his ego too far. Despite this mutual respect Mandy is always painfully aware of his talents and her own weaknesses, she has a lot of history she would rather him stay out of. Mandy felt that due to their mutual good looks and ambitious attitude, they would make the perfect couple, and perhaps Celio would be interested if she pursued it, though whether she could overcome the uneasy feeling his legilimency gave her was to be seen.

Lucrica: Intriguing to Mandy, she doesn’t remember her from Hogwarts at all, as hard as she has tried. Their first interaction getting lunch, Mandy had become so irritated at Dex and Iz she decided to befriend the shy girl, hoping to gain another lackey. Surprisingly to Mandy, she wasn’t at all swung by charm or intimidation, at first irritated by this they sat in silence, as the half hour went by Mandy felt for the first time in years quite comfortable in someone else's company. Barely speaking a word to each other, Mandy often sought out the Hufflepuffs companionship when she felt she needed peace. Lucrica won’t realise that she was a huge help to Mandy being able to carry on with training at all, Mandy would never offer up that information even if it meant being cold and distant. Mandy has a sense of loyalty to the girl that not even Lucrica knows of herself, but Mandy would happily give out a hex or two to anyone that bothers her.

Celio Pegaso;

"That boy's got something coming to him, I swear. I just hope I don't have to be the hand that delivers this forthcoming..."
Celio has a strong idea of what he deems 'worthy' when it comes to people (well, witches and wizards, I suppose) and Lucrica doesn't make the cut. She's very aware of this. She's had little to do with the guy and well probably won't make an effort to change this. In saying this, however, she kind of hopes it won't be long before he needs anything from her, perhaps it'll teach him worthy is past duelling skills and status

Dexter Montogue

"Competition, impetuous and the need to be the alpha of the pack personified and somehow rolled into a Hufflepuff,"
That boy; the numbskull should really slow down and think sometimes. Let's be honest, he won't. He does have a heart of gold behind that Alpha persona, I just wish he would play to that as much as his competitiveness. Anyway, he's a sweet guy. I suppose we're not as close as the really early days when I was his refuge from the judgement of leaving the beloved quidditch team but he's a still a good friend. I guess sometimes I understand why he's a Hufflepuff.

Izaiah Perntide

To be discussed

Mandy Ellison

"I think she relies on her charm a lil too much, I'm not the only one who doesn't give into that. Nonetheless, she's very talented and actually a genuinely good friend if you get to know her,"
Mandy and Lucrica are most possibly 2 of the most unlikely of friends, hence why Lucrica didn't have anything to do with her during her time at Hogwarts, however, a lunchtime of silence lead some mutual trust to start to form. Lucrica found some oddness to encounter but eventually found some comfort in charming figure. She cherishes having a friend who is happy to step back from drama every now and then.

Demetria Graves

"Despite her quick temper and easy jealousy she's actually really sweet. She's also been helping me with some stuff with help in herbology and healing in return,"
Lucrica is a very tiny individual and with her love of being alone, lack of alpha persona and lack if skills in aggressive magic she probably appears quile fragile and frail to a large majority of wizards. Demi has taken the young woman under her wing and the pair have become much like sisters, well, what Lucrica would imagine a sister was like, she's never had one

Keira Summers
