Junko popped up beside the big cat and chuckled. "I'm sorry, the thought of something without opposing digits suggesting we get weapons and armor amuses me. You are full of surprises, Harbinger of Ferocity. Maybe we'll go searching for gear after all." She gestured towards the naga. "And as far as spheroids go, We don't know exactly what one is, but he seems to think the snake woman in our company might be one." Junko turned to face the snake woman. "Come to think about it, I never caught your name. Who are you? Do you know if you're a spheroid or not?"

A slumped-over man in red perked up his ears. He glanced over at the gathering crowd across the way, looked up at the robot, then sighed heavily and continued walking.

After a moment, though, he stopped in his tracks and looked back. He didn't say or do anything for a long moment. But eventually, he glanced down at his chest, eyeing the two hand grenades that were still attached to his ammo belt. After a minute or two, he nodded, tightened his face in a somewhat determined manner only to let it slump again a few moments later, then approached the group.

"E... Excuse me," the man said through a gravelly American accent. "I was... passing by, and I couldn't help but overhear. I don't know what your... situation here is, but... I think you mentioned you were looking for gear?" He cleared his throat and coughed once, then continued. "Well... I've still got some contacts. If you and your... friends need munitions, I can hook you up, if you want..."

"It was more a suggestion for the sake of those present here who are not born weapons." The Machairodont felid replied in a fact of matter manner, still eyeing over Junko warily as she seemed to apport to his side. The very world around her seemed to be odd and that was not a statement about her company, rather that it was unclear to the beast just how she managed this and other surprises earlier. It could have just been this place, but it had its doubts; no one else seemed to react in that manner.

With the addition of a tall, burly man dressed in red some of the attention shifted toward him, especially as his soft spoken tone offered assistance; whatever these sphereoids were, it seemed most if not all were willing to contend with them. The Harbinger was not familiar to the normalcy of this, yet at this rate it proved ever more convincing there was a need to deal with them. Even if that only meant discovering the relations between the naga, if any proved at all, and the odd subject of focus.

The cat looked over the man head to toe before it gave an answer, "The offer seems promising enough."

The man in red blinked once, staring over at the talking cat. "R-Really?" After a brief moment, an eager smile came to the man's face. "Th-That's great! I'll get you set up!"

Without further ado, he reached behind him, opened a small pouch around his waist and pulled out a primitive-looking, bulky Vietnam-era combat radio. "Uh, weapons. Weapons, then. We've got lots of weapons. Let me know what you guys want, and I'll call in a supply drop. You want guns? We've got lots of guns. All kinds'a guns. Although, uh..." The man in red hesitated, then briefly glanced around at the assembled crowd. "...Lookin' at you people, I think some of you might be more into swords... daggers..." He cleared his throat softly and glanced up at the giant robot. "...warhammers, maybe..." He fell silent for a moment, then cleared his throat again. "Uh-- Th-That's fine, though. We've got those too. Near any kind of sword you could want. Just let me know."

"O-Oh, and hats," the man added, almost as an afterthought. "I almost forgot, we've got lots of hats, too. They're basically worthless now, but y'know, just... in case you want 'em..."

Junko had been largely ignoring the newly arrived. But at the mention of hats, her ears twitched.

"Hats? Basically worthless?" The fashionista was visibly annoyed. She shot the man a sideways glance and folded her arms. "How effective a hat is depends entirely on one's wardrobe! Clothes come together on a person like paint does on a canvas. If it complements a look, the desired effect can be achieved." Junko started to smile. Her eyes rolled up while she scratched her chin in thought. "Come to think of it, I really don't have that many hats with me now. Perhaps you have something in your catalog that will go good with my dress?" After a brief pause, the fashionista looked at her phone again. "Hmmm, I really do have to start moving soon if I'm going to make it to rehearsals. It's okay to be fashionably late, but irritatingly late is something I refuse to stoop to." She folded up her phone and slid it into her her shirt, still grinning ear to ear. "Do you have anything in your catalog that would further complement me mister...?"

The man in red leaned back slightly, watching the fashionista with wide, shaken eyes. "Uh... sorry, I... hold on," the man said, adjusting a knob on the radio slightly. "I j... I'm sorry. I didn't realize you felt so strong about it. I'm not so big into fashion these days. I used to be, but... I kind of fell out of it. Long story." He furrowed his brow for a moment, scratching his head with the radio's antenna. "Uh... these hats tended to be designed for practicality, so I don't know if we have anything that'd pair well with a dress. I mean, people didn't usually wear dresses into firefights. But I remember they used to sell a nice... tea hat? Had a little bow and a flower on it? That might go well with a dress. That comes in red, or... blue. Other colors are extra, but... actually, you know what, never mind. I'll put it on my account." He cleared his throat and coughed again before continuing. "Also, do you want a weapon? Because I know a lot about the weapons. You seem like the kind of lady who could handle a katana. Kids these days are into katanas, right...?" The man trailed off at this point, grumbling softly to himself.

"Oh, I love a good hat. And a good battle skirt." Jenneva stepped forward, shooting a wink at Junko. "I'll take one of those tea hats, big guy. In red, if you please. What's your name, anyways? Mine's Jenneva." She smiled as she approached the man, looking over his wares. "As for weapons, I'm afraid I don't have much use for them. My blades are all I need. Versatile too. They might not be as strong as a katana, but they do the trick."

Point of order: The man in red didn't actually have anything on his person to sell. He did have a radio, but he wasn't visibly carrying any hats or swords.

The man in red sighed softly, then nodded. "Okay... alright, fair enough. I'll place the order." He adjusted a dial on his radio and spoke softly into it, cupping his hand around the receiver. He just sort of murmured into it for a few moments, then lowered it again and gave Jenneva another quick nod. He coughed softly, a deep, throaty cough, and then sighed. "I'm Jane, by the way," he added. "Jane Doe."

A moment later, there was a flash of light, and a lovely red tea hat with a yellow ribbon and flower arrangement on it simply materialized in the air next to Jane. He reached out to catch it, but he missed and it fell swiftly to the ground. "Oh son of a--" His words caught in his throat. He squeezed his eyes shut, balled his free hand into a fist and growled in frustration, punching the air.

"That... Looks..."

ADORABLE!!!!11!!!one!!!!

The snake immediately slithered over to the hat and scooped it up, arranging it on her head, brushing some hair out of the way, before 'modelling' it by half-turning each way. "So? How do I look?"

The area of concern had remarkably shifted from the cannon wielding machine that had been looming over them not minutes before and its apparent preoccupation with "spheroids" to... hats, of all things. The company at the moment seemed less worried about the tools the burly man, Jane as he called himself, had to offer than a seeming catalogue of hats.

"You look... red." The cat admitted, stepping to the side of the broad man who swung at the air in frustration, its head being at his shoulder's height, "I am unsure what such a thing does however."

Its fierce, golden eyes moved to the red woman after, the one who spoke about not needing any other weapons; a reasonable statement, given earlier she conjured and controlled fire with apparent ease. There's few times such a talent could not be of use to her.

@Lady Selune
Jane leapt back, waving the radio randomly, then let out a heavy sigh. "I-- Yeah. You know what, why don't I just order a crate of these."

@The Harbinger of Ferocity
He fiddled with the antenna for a moment, then glanced over to the Harbinger and let out a strange descending grunt. "Look, it's nothing, okay? The hats do nothing. I did not think it would be this important," he added, waving at the giant robot briefly and beginning to raise his voice. "I thought you were going to war. Does NOBODY here want a gun? I have lots of guns!"

That said, he began to murmur into the radio for a moment, and an instant later, a wooden crate popped into existence next to him in a red flash of light, hit the ground and immediately split open, spilling red and blue tea hats everywhere.

"I have no thumbs to spare and my paws are large, quite large." The beast replied calmly, noticing the contents of the crate being many more hats, perhaps more than the box itself could have ever dared to contain. Blinking, more in surprise that the box held so many at all than in disbelief of how it got here, it shifted its attention back to Jane who had gestured to the construct.

"Perhaps if anyone or anything has need for a great number of weapons, that machine might. Then again, we are still uncertain just what its business is, if any." The hind quarter of the tremendous striped cat sat itself down, the rest of it looking over the women and the collection of hats.

The loudspeaker clicked once more from the looming battlemech. "Oi! Any PPCs in that junk heap of yours?" The mech twisted slightly to face Conch directly, giving little notice to the other conversations to have occurred in its moments of silence.

"Ah, fine. If it would make you happy, big boy, show me your guns." Jenneva smiled at the man in red, perhaps hiding some meaning behind her words. "And... Jane. That is certainly an interesting name. The last name seems... bromidic." She turned her attention to the lamia dancing with her hat. "It looks great on you. I wonder if it would look half as good on me."

The fashionista was content to let things proceed without interruption. She was clearly excited about receiving a hat. Less so after Jenneva rushed ahead and ordered essentially what Jane had picked out for Junko. And even more less so after that snake woman slithered up and stole the first hat that appeared. The corners of the fashionista's mouth were twitching.

"Jane... I've changed my mind. I don't think your hats are classy at all." She spun on her heel and folded her arms, turning her back to everyone. "I think I can get my fingers into a p90. An aluminum bat would also be a nice side arm. If you don't have one, I'll gladly take a wooden bat, but it MUST have nails in it. Otherwise I'll just take a katana or... whatever!" The fashionista tapped her foot with each passing second. "Oh, and maybe a baseball cap. I could use something to shade my eyes. I don't care what the color is."

"Well tha--"

Jane's breath caught in his throat. He instinctively leapt into a battle stance at the sound of the robot's booming voice, only to slowly look up to him. "No. No, my supplier carries infantry weapons. I don't have a damn particle cannon. If you want an energy weapon that damn badly, why don't you talk to those assholes over at Vishkar?"

@JBRam2002
Jane eventually managed to slow down a bit, then stopped, let out a short huff, and turned back to Jenneva. "Anyway... first of all, I'm happily married. Secondly... I..." He let out a ragged sigh and rubbed his brow. "I-I did not bring the stuff with me. It gets 'ported in. I'll tell you this: We have got smallarms ranging from pistols to SMGs, we have got medium-strength weapons ranging from shotguns to sniper rifles, and as for heavy weapons, we have got flamethrowers, grenade launchers, RPGS, and a machine gun that's..." He hesitated here, examining Jenneva for a moment. "...probably bigger than you are."

@BrokenPromise
He then cleared his throat and turned back to Junko. "As for you... First of all, I coulda told you that. The hats are novelties. I... should have made that clearer." He glanced aside for a moment, then continued. "As for the second thing, my supplier carries a lot of weapons, but the one thing he does not carry is a P90. My supplier does not carry any rapid-fire assault rifles because, to quote him, "they're boring." But the rest of that--" He held the radio up to his mouth again. "--an aluminum baseball bat and a baseball cap? THAT I can do."

And sure enough, an instant later, the requested items materialized next to her.

The fashionista placed the cap on her head and slung the bat over her shoulder. She looked a bit miffed about the p90 though.

"Oooh... Do you guys have shotguns?" The naga tapped her chin and pondered, restlessly dancing around on the spot as she did so. The fact that the mech had called her a 'spehroid' confused her, she didn't know of any culture or country that called her people that, and besides, they didn't look like circles at all!

Jane let out a faint sigh of relief, finally back into familiar territory, and actually smiled. "A-ffirmative. Double-barreled or single?"
