Let's see if you can do better than Goku
Not too long ago, the world was sundered by a great Evil. The Demon King Piccolo, had escaped from his prison and sought to conquer the world once more. However, one courageous lad, named Son Goku, stepped in to defeat the tyrant. The world enjoyed peace, for naught but a few years, as against all odds, the seed of Piccolo had survived his destruction, and now plotted revenge against Goku in the World Martial Arts tournament. The two foes clashed, once again, and Goku was again victorious. The world enjoyed peace, and the hero of the story had his happy end. This is by no means a comprehensive story of all the exploits of the young man (who in turn, had gained quite a bunch of friends and acquaintaces, like fellow martial artists Krillin and Yamcha, and the genius inventor Bulma Briefs) but the events that would make him known to the world at large.
Funny how history itself is shaped. Even as Goku enjoyed peace, with his wife and son, an incredible chain of events was set in motion before his eyes, that shook the very foundations of his existance. The visit of an unearthly, overpowering presence in the form of the heinous Raditz, who described himself as Goku's long lost brother, shed incredible reveals on the past of the man. Namely, that he was an alien, of a race known for their fighting thirst, the Saiyans.
All hope seemed lost, but a stroke of luck managed to tip the scales in favour of the Earth. Foes turned friends, and with the help of the son of Piccolo, Piccolo Junior, the overpowering alien, Raditz was felled. Yet far from ending, the terror would only begin once more. Raditz was but the weakest tip of the spear of a future saiyan invasion. His colleagues, having taking word of one of the Earth's most wondrous legends, the seven Dragon Balls who can grant any wish, are now on their way, and to top it off, the hero known as Goku is dead.
However, it won't be for long, as he has been allowed to keep his body in the afterlife and train under the otherworldy master of martial arts, the one known as King Kai. While his allies vigorously train in Earth, Goku hones his mind and spirit to prepare for yet another battle that would decide the fate of Earth.
Or that was what it was supposed to happen, anyway. Goku's fighting spirit is only surpassed by one thing. His hunger. And that has brought to him his fair share of problems. Like the problem at hand. Confusing it for normal Tofu, Goku has unknowingly ingested the Mapu Tofu of the Void, which in turn can overload even the undead with both eternal bliss and incapacitating heartburn for all the eternity (Goku could probably can shrug off the effects in weeks, but it'll be all too late.). Desperate, a new plan was formulated. If the warriors of Earth cannot beat the incoming menace, then more warriors have to be summoned.

Hiya, this is AtomicNut, and I will be your gracious host, also known as the GM. Before you start, there's some stuff we need to clear out, nice and simple so we may enjoy a dragonball rp.
RULES
- Point 1: I as the GM, have the last word. I will try to stick to the Dragonball canon, but even I have to make concessions to make it playable and enjoyable. My word is the last word. And I may allow character killings or do them outright.
- Point 2: Play nice. Don't be a spoilsport. Don't insult, grief, etc.
- Point 3: Powerplaying is discouraged. Autohitting is allowed, however since this is such a world, hits may just have no effect on other characters if their player wishes to.
- Point 4:Likewise, don't treat NPCS as shooting targets. There's a little thing called Karma, and you could find yourself in a situation where the mystical Cow from Planet Tonomilk has landed on top of your head and killed you.
- Point 5: I'll work on the tacit assumption that you have a general knowledge of Dragon Ball. If not, go read it. It's an awesome manga.
- point 6: I'll handle powerlevels when necessary. (They're still ...not very good though).
- Point 7: Quality over speed people. It's not a race to fill the slots. This is to keep the group small and tightly knitted.
- Point 8: Casual standards, minimum, within reason.
