Alright, Esme is on hiatus now, so feel free to post, Midori.

Yuuki, the only problem I have with your character is that he's on a "pro" level. Right now, I'd rather have amateurs and low-level criminals as The Citizens are just barely coming together. Your character is what I would call a "tier 2" character, while the others who have joined were tier 1. However, there is a point in the story where we will suddenly need several more crew members. At such a point we will have already gained the kind of reputation that would attract individuals like Shin. I just don't see him being one of the original members though.

Well I would prefer for him to be one of the original members. However, still keep his story as is. Maybe he is called in, but doesn't do any missions to start off with. Or only ones that are of higher risk? Or just keeping an eye on the others? Up to you. But I would like for him to start with everyone else like I stated above if that's possible. If not then maybe suggest a way that I could?

Dust and Ink are sort of the overseers (as they're retired pro's), so we really don't need any mentor types. The only thing I could see is nix his training, or make a separate character to begin with and then introduce Shin in later. I just can't see someone like Shin being recruited to knock over liquor stores, etc. Do you know what I mean? They wouldn't call in someone with his skills this early on.

How far would you want me to nix his training. It was either that or have it so Shin works upwards like the others do from the basics. As I doubt he remembers those from over ten years ago. Sort of like a re-train as his skills will have rusted thanks to lack of new information and methods. But I do see what you mean.

Something like stealth tactics is pretty easy to apply even without years of training. But combat tactics aren't something you can just pick up through reading and videos. You can have the knowledge and attempt to apply them but it's really all just like having hypotheses about what could happen.

After re-reading the CS, I guess as long as we're clear that he's not Solid Snake or Sam Fisher and still has a ways to go before becoming pro, then I can accept him. Anything more than that and there would be no point in knocking over a check cashing outlet if we could just send him in at night to do it.

You do have a valid point there.

I never saw him as that, maybe a little more experienced and knowledgeable that the others who were called, but nothing more than that. Becoming a pro like his 'parents' would take more than the time he's had, considering most of those six years were spent running and not actually training.

I don't think he's going to be that much more experienced or knowledgeable than the rest. Pretty much everyone was picked because they can do something. Probably just more knowledgeable in certain fields but hopefully everyone will have their strengths to keep things interesting.

Since Midori doesn't want to double post, you can feel free to post. I don't think Esme and guyvolk are coming back. And if they do, then they can join later.
