Would anyone be interested in doing a one x one One Piece role play? I was thinking it would be fun to do one were we each control half the crew and take turns controlling various arcs.

Possible Ideas
New Beginning-Our characters will be the last surviving members of a really-REALLY terrible pirate crew that was wiped out in a battle with marines.
Mission Chaos-Our characters will be members of the revolutionary army whose soul purpose is to cause as much problems for the world government as possible.

Y'know... Why not. Might work out better this way I guess, since One Piece RPs never seem to work out for me for various reasons. 1x1s seem to be going a lot better for me than group RPs right now anyways. XD

Yeah. Group rps seem a bit harder to work with what with inconsistencies between different players. So, one on one should work out a lot better so long as both players are consistent with their replies. AT least that's how it goes in theory.

Is there a focus in particular you'd like the rp to be? I mean, should we go the classic dreamers heading for the ONe piece route? What about agents for the revolutionary army? Bounty hunters? Marines?

Do you prefer pms or threads? Personally I find threads a bit easier to keep track with.

Are you okay with the idea of splitting control of a full crew and take turns with the arcs? We could start off slow with one character each until we're comfortable with more.

@jynmi88I always try to push for Strawhats-esque pirate action and I haven't changed my tune just yet, so... There you go. And yeah, I'm fine with playing half the crew myself but it's probably best to start off with one character each and work our way up (but hey, the series started with just Luffy and Zoro so that works out I guess). The only real problem I see with this setup is that half the crew might end up being girls since I'm better at drawing them than guys, but we'll see how things turn out. XD

That's true.... Well, it was Luffy and then Cody but he didn't last too long. As for half of our crew being females, I think it might be a little more than that. Lol I'm not good with playing males, but if its any consolation I've got a possible captain(or first mate) planned out that's male....... so there's that.:P

Pretty much what I had in mind, yeah. Just need to hash out some character ideas I guess.

@jynmi88Today was unusually busy so I couldn't really respond until now but yeah, basically that. Actually, I had a vague idea of how to start things out if you're interested. Basically the first two characters are former members of a weak and pathetic pirate crew (probably to the point that they were infamous for how terrible they were) and after an encounter gone wrong they just hopped into one of the lifeboats and left. And then one of them basically decided that they could do so much better than the old captain and that they should form their own crew with blackjack and hookers and, well... "Aw screw it, let's just go after One Piece! You only live once, after all!" Or... Something. Probably starting off in East Blue I guess? Hmmm.

Of course if you already have something else in mind then just ignore my rambling. ^^;

starting off after a round with the most terrible crew imaginable seems like a good place to start. also, I think they'd be in east ble since they would never make it to anywhere else.
I'm fine with either of those purposes. although, I think they'd try for doing it on their own at first because of the experiences wth the last crew

Alrighty! Well, I'll start thinking about the starter.

I know I was going to put a finished CS when I got home from work, but today was exhausting and I have nothing left. It's not finished, but I think its a good idea of how the character's going to be. Please let me know if you see anything wrong :)

Name: Lemmon D. Jack
Alias: Howling fist
Age: 19
Appearance: Lemmon D. Jack is a muscular individual with wide shoulders. He stands 6'4, weighing 275 lbs. He has curly black hair that he keeps in a pony tail. His left eye is blue and his right eye is brown. His traditionally attire consist of a dark blue shirt, black pants. He prefers going barefoot, but will put on sandals if the ground is hot.

Background:Will be revealed in story (because I"m still working out the kinks.)
Abilities: Lemmon D. Jack ate the legendary zoan type devil fruit, the husky fruit, which allows the user to fully transform into a large, mushing dog with thick white and black fur, or a partial transformation. Aside from the regular abilities a typical zoan type fruit would bestow, the husky-husky fruit also grants a user a few additional bonuses:
Fur- A user of the husky-husky fruit is capable of controlling the amount of excess fur their body produces.
Cold Immunity- A person using the husky-husky fruit's ability is unaffected by cold. In fact, cooler temperatures are not only harmless against the user, but low enough temperatures can increase the user's endurance.
Note.-Although a user of the husky-husky fruit is immune to effects of cold, they are not immune to cold attacks. A spear of ice can pierce the user's hide as easily as anyone else's.
Note.-Higher temperatures have a similar effect to a user of a husky-husky fruit but in reverse; that is, using the fruit's power while it hotter temperatures causes the user to tire quicker.

Haha It's okay. Things happen.

Uhhh. Kind of, but a husky isn't a mutt, because mutts are just dogs who aren't pure breeds ^_^;

@jynmi88That's what the dog Devil Fruit was translated as, though. The Japanese one is just Inu-Inu no Mi, which is literally just "dog-dog fruit". XD So all canine-based Zoans are different models of that one.

Aside from not being sure why it's being classed as legendary (huskies aren't exactly a legendary creature after all, and the abilities seem pretty balanced)... Well actually I just said it there, the abilities seem pretty balanced and fair. Gives a few decent perks, but has a built-in additional weakness to compensate. Seems fine to me.

...Meanwhile, I'm taking way too long to do this because I keep coming up with ideas only to quickly discard them because I'm overthinking things and deciding that they're not really all that interesting. Hum. Oh well, hopefully something will stick eventually. ^^;
