Damien Flores and Zoé Flores

Location: Zoé’s Home.
Interacting With: Each Other.

At the sound of the door unlocking, she pushed it open, letting it swing on the hinges as she made her way inside, lightly throwing the keys off to the side where they came to a landing in the large bowl on the side cabinet. The ride home had been… awkward to say the least; and that had nothing to do with the fact that her brother had been sitting on the back of her bike, hugging her tightly around the waist as they rode towards her home. Removing her leather gloves, she threw them into the bowl with the keys, her hands lifting up so that she could remove her bike helmet, placing it down on the top of the cabinet before she began to make her way further into the house, her feet carrying her towards the kitchen as she took off her jacket, draping it lightly over the back of one of the chairs as she went.

“..close the door behind you…”

Shooting a quick glance at her brother from over her shoulder, she frowned, holding his gaze for only a few moments before she turned her attention back to where she was going, her boots making soft ‘thuds’ over the ground as she made her way through the rooms and into the kitchen, her pace not stopping until she had rounded the bench and opened the fridge, “..you want a beer..?”

Damien did as he was told and shut the door behind him, the click of the door seeming to echo throughout the whole front portion of the house. He stepped further inside, standing in the living room while his sister stripped her motorcycle gear and took those moments to look around.

It was very much the same as when he had come to visit a few years back. The house was big - far too big for just a single person. But Zoé loved her house despite it’s size and lack of occupants. He wasn’t about to bring that argument up again.

”Would you shoot me if I asked for a Modelo?” he asked, half joking. ”Yeah. A beer sounds great, thanks.”

“You’re lucky I happen to enjoy one every now and then…” Taking out a couple of bottles, Zoé closed the fridge door behind her as she turned back to the bench, her free hand reaching down into one of the draws as she searched for a bottle opener. Modelo was a beer she didn’t drink very often… but when she did, it was usually when her brother was around. He was the only reason she even bought it; the only reason she drank it in the first place.

Popping the top off once she had found what she had been looking for, she put the bottle opener down on the counter, sliding it in his direction before she lifted the beer up to her lips, taking a sizable swig from it before she placed it down, her dark eyes flicking about the kitchen; this place was about to become a lot more crowded now that she had her family back… between her new sons and the pack… her brother coming back into her life… her sister and nephew… She was going to have to go grocery shopping sometime real soon.

Shoving the thought out of her mind for now, she let her attention turn back to her brother, her gaze a little weary… a little bit skeptical as she once more began to lift the beer up to her mouth, “..so… magic huh..? You wanna explain how you suddenly ended up a warlock..?”

Damien graciously accepted the beer, his eyes staring down the label as though it were a lost lover before he brought the bottle neck to his lips and took a good, healthy drink. Hearing her question, Damien was about to put the beer down but ended up smirking against the rim and took another swig for good measure.

"Druid, actually." he corrected, swallowing again to let the remaining foam from the quickly gulped beer pass down his throat. "And funny story... it happened because I was thinking about you. Now... how about the story of when you became a Werewolf. Wait. Pause. Not just a Werewolf... But an Alpha? News to me until I got here."

“News that would have been received over a year ago, if you hadn’t of left me hanging... I told you I needed you…” Tearing her gaze away from his, Zoé let her attention fall down to the marble bench top. She didn’t want to have this argument again… she couldn’t have this argument again. It was bad enough that they had to have it the first time round.

Lifting the beer once more to her lips, she took another swig, allowing the alcohol to fill her mouth before disappearing down her throat. Really, she should be eating. Not even having time to take a bite of the sandwich that had been made for her, she slipped it into the fridge for safe keeping; it was the better of the two options. Leaning her body forward, she let her forearms rest lightly on marble, a gentle sigh falling out through her lips before she closed her eyes completely, her head dropping down for only a few moments before her gaze once more flicked over to him, “..so, if you’re a Druid, I’m assuming you have a pack you serve… how nice of them to let you come see your little sister…”

“I don’t have a pack.” Damien said almost instantly, matching the bitter tone she delivered in her first statement. “Actually… I’m fresh out of training. And by training, I mean that my ‘special time’ in Russia felt like a maldito vacation!” Damien shut his eyes tightly, substituting an English vulgar term with a Spanish one out of habit. Why was it that he had to compare everything to Russia? And still she failed to see just how much he had been through, or even if she did, failed to acknowledge it. He lifted a hand to rub his shaved head, buying him time to calm down some before he decided that he simply just needed to tell her everything before he could expect her to understand anything.

“A few months before I was supposed to come visit, I had a job.” He kept talking straight through, not wanting the eyes or even the negative feeling he knew that came with the family’s feelings on his choice of profession. His oldest sister was the Chief of Police… his baby sister running her own brewery and restaurant. And Damien… Damien worked whenever people wanted to hire him to build or fix things. He knew straight away that he was the disappointment in the family; his mother never failed to mention it. He just didn’t need any reminding from Zoé.

“I took out this wall and was ripping up some old flooring and with a bit of digging, I came across this little wooden box and inside the box, a necklace I thought would be perfect for you. So I spent some time and money getting it restored- the perfect gift for my baby sister when I came back to America. Except the necklace had a mind of it’s own. I started getting sick after I found it. Fever, dry heaving, explosions from both ends… I could have passed it off as just an ordinary flu except for the dreams that visited me every night…” He shook his head.

“Zoé it was terrible. I was back in hell. Nothing was getting better and I felt like my own body was forced to do things I couldn’t control. Next thing I knew, I had used up the money I had saved to come visit and I was in Mexico. There was this woman… I never saw her before but I somehow knew that I had to find her. She was the one driving me crazy and I needed to tell her to stop. I was driven by something I can’t even explain. I went from Mexico to Argentina, all of my money was gone, but I found her. And that was enough for me. I didn’t have a concept of time or anything else, I just knew that she was the answer to what was happening, why things were changing in my life. But she threw me flat on my back without even blinking an eye and told me that I had been chosen, and needed to fulfill a prophecy. Madness. I was sure. I fought it. I tried to fight her. But each and every time I found myself back in the dirt, one way or another. It was humiliating; my pride was stripped from me one moment after the next…” Damien trailed off, his eyes somewhere distant as he seemed to be staring somewhere past Zoé’s shoulder. Not even the buzz of quiet seemed to irk him in the slightest. Then, finally, after what seemed like hours, “I’ll spare you the details. But when I was finally allowed to leave… I would have put my own life against anything betting that I had lost at least ten years there… All I knew is that I had a promise to keep. And that promise was coming to see you. So… here I am.”

Unsure what to say, Zoé remained silent… listening carefully to what he was telling her. All this time… she’ just been under the impression that he’d abandoned her, just like her niece had done, but it seemed as though it wasn’t the case. Once again he’d been forced to suffer through another bad situation- he’d already survived his time in Russia… Damien didn’t want this, and he didn’t deserve this… and yet, he’d been put through hell, only to wind up back here… standing at her kitchen bench… ready to keep the promise he had made her all those years ago...

“..Damien…”

Dropping her gaze back down, she stared once more at the marble, seeming to think for a few moments before finally, she made a move. Placing her beer down on the bench, she pushed away from it, her boots making soft ‘thuds’ over the ground as she made her way around to where he stood, barely giving him a chance to respond as she wrapped her arms tightly around his body, her dark eyes closing as she pressed herself against him in a hug, “..I’m sorry… I-... I should have known something was up…”

His brows raising at the sudden show of affection, Damien quickly swallowed his last gulp of beer before he set the empty bottle down on the counter closest to him so that his arms were free to wrap around his little sister. Damien issued out a sigh, letting his chin rest on top of her head. This was the way that it was supposed to be - the way it was going to be if he hadn’t been interrupted with… life. His hold around her tightened, almost as if he needed to know that she was actually there.

“Late or not, I always keep my promises.” he told her, trying to console her despite the fact that he might have been the one needing it. “I love you, Zoé. I’m sorry… I’m so sorry…”

This was the Damien she knew… the Damien she loved. Pressing herself closer against his body as she felt his arms tightening around her own, Zoé gently nuzzled against his chest, her soft lips parting ever so slightly as she continued to hug her brother for what felt like the first time in forever. Gods she had missed him… so damn much. As much as she had denied it over the last year, as much as she had done her best to keep herself together; she needed her big brother… she was always going to need her big brother…

“..I love you too, Damien… and I’ve missed you so much…”

Shutting her eyes tighter than before, she hesitated, not caring that she was tearing up as she lifted her head, allowing her gaze to meet with his, “..there’s-... there’s a lot we have to talk about… you’ve missed a lot more than you think. Whatever you want to know; ask, I’ll do my best to answer, just-... just please don’t leave again…”

“Just… start from the beginning.” Damien pulled his arms away from her, resting his hands on each of her upper arms and took half a step back so that he could look at her properly. It would be easier that way, he believed. She had much to tell him, and he, her. He could ask questions as she went along. “Tell me everything, Zoé.”

Leo

Location: Sky Lakes Medical Center
Interacting with: Xerxes @YoshiSkittlez, Magnus @BlackPanther

Leo nodded at Xerxes words, relieved that Magnus had mustered the sense to not aggravate the doctor further.

"Understood. We'll stop by this afternoon to check on them." Leo was slightly irritated at Xerxes denial of their visit, however he decided it was best not to press it. A few hours wouldn't kill the kids, if not cause a little more discomfort.

Leo turned and nodded to Magnus. "Well, we should get going. We have a lot of things to get done." The Warlock paused for a moment, turning back towards Xerxes as he produced a wooden amulet engraved with thin lines of silver from his bag. "Please, hang this in their room somewhere. I'm sure you're providing the best medical care there is, but they are magical creatures. There are some things modern medicine can't touch."

Leo smiled warmly and held out the pendant towards Xerxes. Leo didn't intend to insult Xerxes' abilities or infringe on his territory, but Leo had been literally doing things like this since birth; hell, his family practically wrote the book on tending to magical creatures and their wounds. He knew what he was doing.

Cody smiled, keeping his hold on Arom. He was just so… amazing. Kind, Quiet… And so gorgeous. And all his. Cody couldn't believe his luck. What had he done, to have Aron as his, forever? He didn't know, and he suspected he never would, even if he questioned it for his entire life. All he knew was that he would do anything for Aron, Anything to make his life better… to be with him… to bring that smile, that made Cody’s heart beat faster and faster each time he saw it. Aron’s response pleased him, and Cody ducked his head, blushing a deep scarlet.

It pleased Cody immensely, made him feel more than pleased and it warmed him, flowing through his body, until he was sure he would just burst into flames. He chuckled at Aron’s words, and watched him stand, before smiling and accepting his hand, pulling himself up and into Aron’s crasp, hugging him tightly for a moment, before leading him back out the treehouse, making sure to grab his keys and phone along the way.

He climbed down the ladder, reluctantly letting go of Aron’s hand to do so, but when he was half way down, Cody leaped the rest of the way, bending his knees slightly as he landed to cushion the blow, he looked up and grinned at Aron, well pleased with himself. He waited for Aron to join him, probably grinning like a fool. "Lets go. We can find somethings, get you some new clothes and stuff, maybe drop them off? And than head to the hospital, see Syleste and Sebastian" He said brightly

Alexis Farreacher

Location: Cedar Ash Inn
Interacting with: Callie Lenson@Caits, James Burke and Sombra Burke@Vicier

A wolf. A genuine, real wolf. That’s what Sombra was. The flashing eyes would have scared most and even Alexis could feel a small, cold shiver run down her spine. But There was so much more. Excitement. She hadn’t seen a werewolf yet. Not in flesh and bone at least. But there was something about Sombra. Something extreme. Something more than most people had. Was this how all wolves were? Then the canines sort of appeared behind the lips. For a second Alexis wanted to touch them. But that would’ve been a bit of a weird request. The warlock girl might have been young, buts she wasn’t stupid. She knew Sombra was joking. Sort of. She knew it, but also hoped it. “Well.. I prefer not to find out how hard you bite. I don’t want to be a werewolf.” She said, suddenly realizing that it might sound a little offensive. “Not that being a werewolf is anything bad to be!” Was it?

“What’s the matter with your mom?” asked Alexis. Aren’t parents supposed to love you? Sombra made it sound like her own mother was hunting her! Alexis had her own fights with her parents. But at the end of the day, deep inside, she knew she loved them and they loved her. So she could barely understand how parents could dislike their own children. Their own flesh and blood.

Then Miranda’s name dropped. Realizing she knew the name, her head snapped towards Callie. “Why…Miranda…?” Alexis asked rather confused, taking a step back. She remembered rumors. That her brother felt too big for Klamath. Or worse, that he got in trouble with the police and his mother had to cover up for him. Alexis never cared for the rumors. Why would she? Miranda wasn’t really her friend. “Are you…” But then the similarities came up in James. “You are…” She could barely believe it. How big he looked. And how strong! For a second a flash of jealousy went through Alexis. She wanted to say to Sombra that she got lucky. Very lucky. But she was more surprised to see Miranda’s brother here. And as fate might have it, he was a wolf too. “You’re Miranda’s brother. And a wolf.” The statement was said with a certain amount of surprise. As she had found Callie, now maybe Miranda had found someone for her as well.

“Wait are you two married?”

Cathrine Ezekiel

Location: Road towards Klammath
Interacting with: No-one

The engine was blaring. Air flowed through her long, blonde hair in the sunny early morning. Cathrine had driven through the night. Not because she had too. She didn’t have to do anything. She didn’t have to listen to anyone. If a photographer started to have some artistic meltdown over her coming in late, she’d just leave. What did she care? It had earned her the reputation of being a bit hard to work with. But that wasn’t true at all! Some people just needed to relax a bit.

She drove through the night because she wanted it. She wanted to feel the cooler air flow over her skin and the wind in her hair. She wanted to drive with the moon and stars simply because she could. And above all, she wanted to go fast. She wanted to hear her engine whine and roar, pushing her over the speed limit. How many cops were out at night? Maybe a handful? Besides, if one of the balding, middle-aged men dared to stop her she’d just show her puppy eyes, tell them her papa was dying and they’d leave her off with a ‘warning’. As if she’d even go to her father if he was dying. Well, she would, a week after the burial to literally dance on his grave. He tore away her wings and she’d never forgive him for that.

With the morning sun rising over the horizon, the model saw Klamath Falls in the distance. How beautiful, how calm, how so very boring. It was time someone who could raise a little hell would arrive. Deep down she hoped that an angel lived there. They wouldn’t be too hard to catch. Radiantly beautiful and always so far too good. Well, that made them easy enough. Predictable and easy to manipulate.

Sebastian

Location: Sky Lakes Medical Center

Interacting with: Cassandra Arvanitis @Caits, Xerxes Arvanitis @YoshiSkittlez, Syleste Vos @Vicier, Gage Brooks @BlackPanther, Miranda Burke @Damo021

Sebastian pulled his attention away from the others, his gaze drifting over towards the door. As a Siren, he was more in tune with sounds and vibrations than other supernatural creatures. Werewolves had super hearing, that was a given, but they couldn't feel the vibrations in the air, detect the minute fluctuations and differences between the patterns that revealed many things to him.

Xerxes voice filtered through the cracks in the doorway into the room, his shouting reaching quite a distance away. His words were muffled through the wall, but it didn't take super senses to figure out that he was pissed.

Sebastian's chest emanated a soft, deep hum that permeated through the room and into the nearby hallways. Sebastian had been able to use echolocation his entire life, but he hadn't really found many uses for it since he was a little kid; he was rarely in situations where he was completely without light, and when he was, it was usually in his house, where he had memorized every detail and could navigate with a blindfold and earplugs. The night before had forced Sebastian to employ echolocation for the first time in years, and it had served as a reminder to him about just how useful it could be.

The vibrations from his chest reflected off of the walls of the room and bounced back, revealing the texture of every surface in the room, but the hallways outside were hidden from him.

The Siren sighed, disappointed but not surprised. The attack and sudden revelation of supernaturals in Klamath falls had left Sebastian on edge, nervous that something was going to go wrong at any moment.

”How are you doing, Seb?” Cassandra's voice snapped him out of his thoughts, bringing him back to the real world. The girl stood next to his bed, looking down at his with soft, innocent eyes. ”Did you need anything?”

Sebastian met her eyes and smiled softly, glad to have someone to talk to. "Aside from a new leg? Maybe a sprite?"

He forced out a soft chuckle the moment the words left his mouth, trying to mask his discontent. While he was in a fair amount of pain, he knew Cassie would be in more. If past experiences were anything to judge by, she would feel guilty that she had healed much faster than her friends. That, and her dad coming out as an angel? The way she had reacted, it was obvious Cassie didn't know. She probably felt betrayed in some way, how her father had lied to her all those years.

Just like you, Seb. Sebastian's face flushed with shame and he realized he was guilty of the exact same thing. He had hidden who he really was for years, but no one seemed to hold it against him. It was odd.

Magnus Bane

Magnus was headed out when he stopped and turned. Eyes flickered over what appeared to be a reporter...guy had a notepad and a camera. Magnus looked toward the exit with longing and actually forced himself to shorten his stride and make noise causing the man to notice him. Excuse me...were you here busting the injured teens

Magnus seemed to transform into a different person a fake smile plastered on his face. "Yes I was." the reporter seemed to light up with the prospect of an interviewee. Would you mind answering a few questions?

Magnus nodded seeming to act a part of someone willing to help the reporter seemed like an overexcited vulture.

~Moments later~

Magnus looked tired and annoyed as he found Leo. Dealt with a reporter...Small puma attack only two injured others were scared but fine...I need a drink" He sounded almost the same as after he was done dealing with children. "Luckily, the whole veterinarian thing makes me trustworthy when it comes to animals" he was now making a new line for the exit. Leo could either follow or get left in the dust.

Aron Brooks

Aron smiled before holding up a finger. He quickly grabbed his milkshake and downed it in a few large sips before tossing the empty cup into the trash. A few seconds passed before he grabbed his head. "Ow that was dumb ow ow" He paced a bit before the brain freeze seemed to dissipate.

Aron looked sheepish as he followed Cody down. Though his landing sounded like a boulder hit the ground. "Is love that....though gage will probably need some stuff sooner and the chance of him leaving the hospital are slim." he looked down. A bit of silence before he spoke again. "Its weird....no overwhelming is better." he managed to look at Cody. "To go from so much awful to...the exact opposite"

Aron took the moment to put his hand into Cody's. "Lets go and spend a ridiculous amount of time in a mall....I'll let you pick the clothes" a grin spread across his face.

Miranda Burke.

Location: Sky Lakes Medical Center

Interacting with: Cassandra Arvanitis @Caits, Syleste Vos @Vicier, Gage Brooks @BlackPanther, Sebastian @December

Miranda had not done much after the initial checking up and making sure that Syleste and Sebastian were doing okay, to see how they were coping with the ordeal. Deep inside, Miranda felt bad in a way because she was just standing there without a scratch while they simply didn’t heal like herself and some of the others did. By rights she should be dead not turned into something else entirely as thoughts never seem to fully leave her mind.

Still the blonde teen pushed that to one side so she could simply concentrate on doing what she could for the others. Which right now funnily enough was not a lot. Her bestie Cassandra had taken the initiative exceptionally well, giving them much better food and genuinely being helpful, she had the advantage or wanting a career path much like her father which was great and Miri was certainly happy to help her in any way to give Cassie a change to achieve it… But she was not Xerxes.

She took note of Syleste and gage where pretty much lost within each other’s eyes or jut the company of a loved on. It made Miri smile to see Syl having found something that will love her and protect her. It would have not been right to interrupt them anyway as she already made Gage awkward with a hug when she arrived, something she never done before. Sebastian was being tended to by Cassie but her hearing to her the conversations of everyone in the room like she was in right next to the people having when she was simply not anywhere near the beds.

” Did you need anything?” She heard Cassie ask Sebastian.

"Aside from a new leg? Maybe a sprite?" was his response.

She couldn’t help but admire the guy for his sense of humour at a time like this, maybe it was his way of coping? Or putting up a front for the others like she did with Cassie this morning, making out everything was okay, she couldn’t really tell as so much was still confusing her. But a sprite? Yes, she could at least go and do that! Cassie had been going all over for them thus far, so at least the Blonde could do this, the vending machine was only a few corridors down from where they were.

“You just keep still, we don’t want you irritating your injuries… I’ll get you that sprite okay.” Miranda chipped in softly offering a smile. “I won’t be long” She added before setting off. After leaving the room, it did not take Miranda long to find her way to the vending machines to pick up a sprite for Sebastian. It was followed by frustrating and tense moments of rummaging for some change to put into the said machine which allowed her to produce a low growl from within, something that was certainly an entirely new experience.

However, that would not be the end of it as Miranda versus the vending machine then took its place after she place the money into it and ordered the sprite… only for it to get stuck within the machine. This certainly added to her frustration and even a little anger as she cursed at the machine rather loudly before giving it a knock to see if it would dislodge the can… It did not.

“Oh, for god’s sake!... Just give me the dam can you piece of…” Miranda outburst in anger as she whacked the vending machine harder than even she thought she could do, the sound of the hit and the cracking of the glass muffling out the end of her sentence, oh she was going to in trouble for that no doubt, But… a few seconds later she heard the machine drop multiple cans, six by the sounds of it as she suddenly felt a little embarrassed by her outburst and proceeded to gather up the cans.

As Magnus wandered away to handle the inquisitive reporter, Leo pulled his phone from his pocket, creating a new message to Callie.

To: Callie
Checked on the kids. Doc says they're healing, gonna stop by later today again to set up some charms to protect them.
We need to meet up with Zoe and check the crime scene.

To: Zoe
How are you doing? We should meet up today. I want to know if I can help at all.

Leo briefly considered texting Quinton, however he quickly decided against it. If Zoe felt the need to include him, she would. Leo was acquainted with the man, however their relationship was quite superficial; he had known him for years, but he still didn't entirely feel comfortable around him.

As Magnus returned, Leo followed him out, his mind turning over the events of the past twenty four hours.

The entire situation was rather odd. It was by far the most exciting thing that had happened in Klamath Falls for quite some time, however Leo was still uncertain if anyone was in immediate danger. Obviously, the creature was still running free, however it had been the first attack. Had the wolf always been here, or had it just arrived in the area? Were there other incidents in different places? If the wolf wasn't new to the area, what had caused it to act now? What was motivating it to strengthen a random Alpha by giving her a pack? The unnerving familiarity of the wolf sent a chill down the Warlock's spine, causing him to pull his jacket a little tighter around him form and set his jaw, stepping out into the sunlight with a determined expression.

He followed Magnus towards the car, climbing into the passenger chair as the Druid slid smoothly into his own seat.

"Where to next, Magnus?" Leo reclined in his seat, attempting to mask the extreme unease he felt within his stomach. "We still have a lot of things left to do, but Callie asked me to wait until we had met with Zoe. Is there anything you need to get done in the meantime?"

Cassandra could hear her father, angry no doubt because of the treatment Syleste had received… And for a moment she didn’t even stop to consider how she could hear it. She just knew that she had rarely heard her father that angry. And she didn’t like it… he was too hard on himself… too hard on others, holding them in the same esteem that he held himself. She sighed, knowing she couldn’t do anything. Maybe, though, he’d find the twix she packed for him.

Just how could she hear him? He was yelling, but… just what was happening in her body? To do this, she was fundamentally changed down to her DNA. For a moment, Cassandra nearly panicked. If that was so… what would be the long term effects? It was only the fact that she felt that she had to be strong for her friends that stopped the panic attack from taking effect. A slight change in her breathing would perhaps be all that was noticed. And her fast beating heart.

Meeting Sebastian’s glance again, she smiled. ”Well, I can’t give you a new leg, but rest up, and take your medications, and you’ll be right as rain in a few weeks” She said, wishing everstill that she could do more. She reached out to take Sebastian’s hand, ”And if you need anything, we’ll all be happy to help!” she said, noticing that Sebastian seemed to have gone quite… reflective, and she wondered why… ”Really, Sebastian, is everything okay?” She asked softly, her gaze concerned, worried. Was he hurt more then he was letting on?

Cody looked up, watching Aron, he winced as his partner downed the milkshake, sensing a brain freeze coming on, but there wasn’t anything that he could do about that. He watched as Aron clutched his head, and sighed softly, he couldn’t help but smile. He just loved Aron, so much and he knew that he would do anything, anything to keep him safe. He watched as Aron reached the ground safely, and quite companionable and in a simple show of comfort, he threw his arm around Aron’s shoulders, pulling him in close for a one armed hug.

He listened as Aron spoke, and he knew that if Aron was in a hospital bed, he wouldn’t leave his side for anything. He’d be there. So he could understand Gage being there, for Syleste. ”So we will get him some things, and make them both more comfortable” He said, already thinking on what they could get them, so that Gage, Syleste and Sebastian could have a better hospital stay, with comforts they’d get in their own homes.

He hugged Aron to him tightly, and kissed him softly, ”I know, Aron… and we can take it one step at a time, to make things easier. But don’t worry, I’m never going to go far from you” He promised, ”And I’m going to give you the best life I possibly can”

He smiled, curling his hand around Aron’s, and nodded, starting off, he led them to his motorcycle, making sure Aron had his helmet on, before he started the engine, and headed off towards the shops. When they were finished there, Cody quite happily choosing things out for not just Aron, but Gage Syleste and Sebastian as well, he turned to Aron saying, with a smile "Well, did you want to go drop this stuff off at your house?"

“You just keep still, we don’t want you irritating your injuries… I’ll get you that sprite okay. I won’t be long.” Miri's voice was followed by the sound of a door opening and gently shutting as the girl left the room. Sebastian shot an appreciative smile at her before she left, calling out a brief thanks.

”Well, I can’t give you a new leg, but rest up, and take your medications, and you’ll be right as rain in a few weeks. And if you need anything, we’ll all be happy to help!” Cassie's cheerful tone brought a genuine smile to his lips, though it was faint and faded a little too quickly. When her hand touched his, he barely suppressed the instinct to rip it away. Instead, all his hand gave was a slight twitch as his eyes locked onto Cassie's touch.

"Thank you, Cassie. It really means a lot that you," Sebastian paused and corrected himself, "All of you, are here to help us."

The Siren's faux smile slowly slipped away, replaced by a distracted gaze with scared eyes. Werewolves were vengeful creatures. They were powerful and dangerous, but most importantly, they didn't leave anything unfinished. Maybe the goal of the attack had been to create a new pack, but to what end? And if not to create more weres, then why? Even if that was the original goal, Sebastian couldn't help but shake the feeling that he had unfinished business with the wolf. Maybe he was just being paranoid, but he was one of two teens that hadn't been turned, and he was the only one who had fought back. While he couldn't be sure, Sebastian was fairly certain he had dealt a fair amount of damage to the wolf's front leg, maybe even going so far as to break it, though that damage would certainly be healed by now. Would it want to come back to finish the fight? There was just so much that he didn't know-

”Really, Sebastian, is everything okay?” Cassie's voice snapped him back to reality, forcing him to meet her eyes. A light, shaky sigh passed the Siren's lips. He attempted to muster a half-hearted smile, but it died somewhere between his lips and his eyes.

Sebastian licked his lips and swallowed before speaking. "Well, aside from getting mauled and then my entire friend group getting turned into creatures that I have spent my entire life fearing and avoiding?"

Sebastian bit his tongue and closed his eyes the instant the words left his mouth. He didn't want to seem bitter, even though he was, and he most certainly didn't want Cassie to feel worse. He gave a soft sigh before continuing. "Sorry, that was rude."

Sebastian met Cassie's gaze and clenched his jaw. "What I mean is that up until this point in my life, people like me and people like you... We don't work well together. Just like a wolf or a bear will hunt in a stream to catch a fish, over the years, werewolves have hunted Sirens. I spent so long trying to- to hide who I was from all of you that now that everyone knows, I feel... naked. Exposed. Defenseless."

The Siren shot a look over at Gage and Syleste to make sure they weren't listening. The brief thought that he was finally able to speak to Syleste about what she was pleased him, however he pushed it aside from the time being.

"Do you remember when I first came out?" For the first time that day, a genuine smile came across his face and stayed. "We were playing truth or dare and someone decided to make me kiss someone. I was so nervous about it, because I knew most of the group expected me to pick a girl, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. I was so pent up about it I think I nearly gave that kid Thomas a heart attack when I grabbed him. I mean, some people in the group already knew it, but as far as I know, it was only a couple of people. I felt like I was going to implode into a mess of tears and moping, but I was actually pretty confident once I had stopped attacking the poor boy's face. It was on my own terms, with just a little bit of incentive. I made the choice to reveal my secret to you guys."

Sebastian paused for another shaky sigh before continuing. "My identity as a Siren was a much bigger secret. It wasn't who I love, but who I actually am. That, and it reveals an entire world of supernaturals. I didn't get the choice last night. Zoe kinda made sure of that one... Just telling everyone on the planet... Not angry about that though."

Sebastian gently blew a puff of air out of his nose and turned his eyes up to face Cassie. "It's just kind of weird to have everyone know about something I spent so long hiding. I guess everyone now has the same secret, so I don't really think anyone could hold it against me, but... I still did hide that from all of you."

Magnus Bane

Magnus paused before studying Leo. "I have some patients of my own I should check on." Magnus started the car and drove to the veterinarian office. Once there he parked and gestured for Leo to follow him. He had a habit of going in even on his days off to check on the animals that were his patients.

Magnus strode in and went directly to the back where some cages held his patients. He sweeper the area with his eyes and each creature seemed to get into a better mood. He lightly opened a cage on the bottom and held a rather large piebald ball python. The snake pressed its head against Magnus and he gave a smile. "They all seem better." he carefully put the snake back before opening the cage to a sleek black cat who seemed to be missing one golden eye.

Aron Brooks

Aron watched as Cody picked out things and felt himself grinning. He didn't know why, but he loved this. Maybe it was how he never really went to the mall and now he went with his boyfriend. Or maybe he just liked having Cody pick things for him. He had no idea, but he was really enjoying the trip.

Aron's thoughts were traveling aroun through what Cody had said...part of him wondering what would have happened if he had come out sooner to Cody. He blinked as flared his nostrils and got a healthy dose of several scents...but he focused on Cody's. He blinked when Cody spoke and snapped himself out of it.

"Sure. Then we can go wherever you want to"

Cassie had had time to think over things-Zoe had pretty much insinuated that both Sebastian and Syleste weren't human-that the fact that the bite hadn't changed them proved it. So it wasn't as if she hadn't hadn't time to process that... and her father had hidden what he was from her for... her whole life. They were just fact she had to get use to... along with being a werewolf. Perhaps she hadn't processed everything, but Cassie knew that friends and family... it didn't matter what you were, they were what made everything worth while.

So as Sebastian spoke, Cassie let him get out all his fears and worries, what was obviously building up within him, that he needed to get out. She didn't think it would be the only speech like that that she listened to, and she made sure to listen to him closely. She reached out to take his hand and give it a squeeze, when he had finished.

She didn't have all the same experiences that Sebastian did-she truly couldn't understand what it would be to hide part of what you were, of who you were. To hide from love? It wasn't something she had ever considered. She'd been raised to accept anyone, to be open minded... so maybe she couldn't blame all her... nudging of people all on Miranda. It was just who she was. Sebastian had had two immense secrets, and had been carrying both of them around his whole life. The fact he'd realeased one was a huge accomplishment, and a testament to his character.

Having the other revealed unwillingly... and to still be worried about what they thought about him? Her heart went out to him. "oh, Sebby... that doesn't matter... you're still the same person you were yesterday, and... so are we. I'm not going to judge you for hiding something that is... well, massive. It's what we are all going to have to do now... the only thing that has changed is that now you don't have to hide it all alone, you have us" She said, keeping his gaze, her voice sincere, not sure she was even choosing the right words, but knowing that she couldn't not say anything.

She gave him a smile, glancing at the others in the room, and then back to Sebastian. "we aren't going to hurt you, we are still your friends, and we always will be. How can we not be, after everything we've been through?" she said, her smile soft, kind and full of compassion. "Sebastian, we don't need to be of the same species to know we have always been... a pack. And it doesn't matter what we are now, we've always been a group, and so the word changes now, but it's just a word, it doesn't change the meaning, the fact that from the first moment we were all together, we were... family.

And family accepts one another, no matter what. So... that's all there is to it"

Xerxes Arvanitis

Location:Sky Lakes Medical Center.
Interacting With: Magnus Bane (@BlackPanther), Leo Kwon (@December), Miranda Burke (@Damo021), Syleste Nioré (@Vicier), Cassandra Arvanitis (@Caits), Gage Brooks (@BlackPanther).

Nodding abruptly towards Magnus, as he spoke of their departure but more importantly, his acceptance towards what Xerxes had asked him to do. Funny - he expected more... reluctance. Xerxes shook the thought from his head. No sense in jinxing himself.

His thoughts, thankfully, were swayed as Leo handed over what looked like some sort of amulet, his request being that Xerxes put it up somewhere in the siren's hospital room as means to keep them protected. He tried not to take it as some sort of insult to his own medical training. He knew very little about Werewolves, and even less about Witches and Warlocks and anything else within that branch of the supernatural. But he trusted Zoé, and Zoé seemed to trust these two. He simply had to choke down his pride and respect them doing their job as much as they (well, Leo, anyway) respected him doing his.

He gave Leo a curt nod, accepting the necklace, and turned to head back to the hospital room. The nurse he had been... discussing matters with was nowhere to be seen. Though it was high time he headed back to the children anyway.

He watched quietly as Miranda passed him by, giving him enough pause to halt in the doorway, hearing the tail end of a conversation between his daughter, and a voice that clearly had to be Sebastian. Out of sight, the older man crossed his arms over his chest and listened as Cassandra took things upon herself to help absolve her friends fears. A gentle smile crossed over his lips, pride welling within his chest for his little girl. Really, he couldn't be any more proud of her.

Believing that now would be a better time than any other to return into the room, Xerxes stepped in, subtly hanging up the amulet on the first hook-like thing he could find. He clapped his free hands together, regaining that "friendly doctor" demeanor he was more than known for - any trace of his previous, annoyed mood completely gone.

"Alright, you two. How are we doing?" He looked between Syleste and Sebastian. Traces of food were left behind, indicating that Cassandra had done as he had expected and got them fed. His smile only seemed to brighten. "Syleste, I'd like to check your stitches first along with a few other things. Gage... would you mind?"

Leo

Location: Sky Lakes Medical Center

The ride to the vet's office was quiet and uneventful. Leo considered smoking during the trip, however he decided against it; while Leo had permanent charms on his own body that prevented any kind of tooth decay, lung disease, or cancer from the smoke, as well as to mute the smell of cigars, Magnus' and his car most likely didn't. If the Druid minded Leo smoking, he would have commented on it already, however he still felt it was polite.

The pair arrived and entered the building without another word, with Leo following his companion into the back. The presence of another serpent caused Leo's familiar to squirm slightly, running itself around his wrist multiple times before the Warlock laid his hand on the bracelet.

"Shh... It's okay. Go back to sleep. I'll wake you up if there's danger." Leo gently stroked between the ocular ridges on the snake's head, soothing the metalic familiar back into a slumber. Leo lowered his arm back down to this side and continued to stroke his bracelet, hoping Magnus wasn't put off by his odd whispers. Chances were that Magnus had encountered a familiar like that before, however they were incredibly uncommon and quite temperamental.

Leo quietly observed the creatures, noting each of their auras. He came across a particularly distressed German Sheppard and cast a calming spell without a second thought. Within moments, the creature returned to its relaxed posture, slowly drifting off into a light slumber.

Leo straightened and turned to Magnus, running a hand absently through his hair. "So, are you gonna come with me to investigate the crime scene?" Leo crossed his arms and leaned against the doorway. "Or do you have other, more exciting matters to attend to?"

The Warlock gestured towards the animals, letting a playful smile appear on his face as he awaited a response.

James Burke

Location: Cedar Ash Inn.
Interacting With: Callie Lenson (@Caits), Sombra Burke (@Vicier), and Alexis Farreacher (@Legion02).

“Sombra. James. I’ve missed you, both.”

This was the first thing that James had heard as he came in after letting his beautiful wife through the door first before coming in himself and closing it behind him. Just like Sombra he only had that much of a warning and chance to turn around before the witch pulled them both into a warm and welcoming hug. It appeared that even after five years that Callie was still that loving and caring to people and knew it was the right choice to come to her for their brief spell in Klamath, James went to open his mouth but the wife beat him to the punch so to speak and replied to Callie.

“..I know… and I’m sorry we’ve been gone so long Callie, but… we had no other choice-...”

Unfortunately, it was the truth, they really had no choice. But before anything more could be said and done the door went off to reveal another young girl walked in and almost bumped into the pair, she certainly smelled different, there was certainly more to her and considering the present company it was possible she is a witch? Either way it was quite amusing to watch her manoeuvre around both himself and Sombra and claimed that Callie had ‘texted’ her while fidgeting with what appeared to be an amulet around her neck.

“You need not worry about hiding what you are, Alexis. This is Sombra and James, they are friends of mine, and I long told them what I am. Although they have been… away for some time.”

Again, another truth, they were gone for quite some time indeed, and for good reasons to, to protect those they love and care about, it felt like the right thing to do then at the time, just simply disappear and hide any evidence of the supernatural world. The thought alone made him think back to Miranda for a moment… he had failed to protect his little sister. Snapping back out of it James crossed his arms and seemed to relax while producing a smile for Alexis. He ended up watching Sombra as she leant forward, he knew her well enough to know she was about to probably tease the little girl, but not in the way he expected… Although he could really complain about the view he was getting while standing behind her as she was leant forward.

“..mmm; don’t worry that pretty little head of yours, my dear… I may be the big bad wolf that you’ve heard of; but I promise you I don’t bite… much…”

“Well she always likes to bite me…” he instantly replied as he spoke out an intimate thought. He was really smiling now even after letting out that admission before he snapped out of it before clarifying what his wife had said, before clearing his throat, again he might have just got himself into more trouble... “You need not worry, she will only bite if you ask her to or you really piss her off.” He let out a light chuckle at Alexis comments of not wanting to be bitten by Sombra.

But things then certainly changed at the mere mention of Myra, Sombra’s mother and his mother in law as James straightened his stance a little keeping an eye in his mate. He could sense that it was not sitting well wife his wife, hell even the mention of her name even made him shift a little. Plus, it was only a matter of time before she would show up after being tailed by that cop… And if he had not done so already, it was only a matter of time before it gets back that they were at the Cedar ash inn and it kind of made James feel bad about sticking Callie pretty much in the middle of it all.

“..I’ll fix it… permanently… my mother won’t come looking for me, James, or our family again; and you won’t have any trouble while we’re here. We’re only staying for a couple of days at the maximum, and then we’ll be gone. It-... you know it’s better this way…”

At the mere mention of family, James moved in closer to his wife, moving up beside her before wrapping an arm around her middle, gently leaning her into him, He did this as both as reassurance and to reinforce that he would love, care and protect his family no matter what, He would be her rock. But yes, all they had to do was get through this… Situation for the next few days and they be gone, he wrecked the most important moment the night before to get here and he would spend a lifetime in making it up to Sombra if that is what it would take. It was reassuring to hear Callie state that Myra wouldn’t bring it to her home as he felt bad bringing this upon them all.

James couldn’t help but nod when he looked at Callie, he was nodding in agreement to what the young witch had just discovered from Sombra’s comment of ‘our family’. “Yes, it is true Callie, Sombra is pregnant.” He let the bombshell linger for a moment before Callie mentioned that as a fact, Myra will not be giving up on Sombra leaving… It seemed that leaving Klamath might be a bit tougher than he had expected but it pained his heart every time he heard the mention of Miranda, but there was a little bit of shock and surprised on his face, the message he got only mention an attack which involved his sister, not a group of teenagers.

“Wait your saying that there were more teens attacked along with my sister and that the alpha responsible is still at large…?”

There was some evident anger in his tone as the tail end of his sentence along with a growl coming from deep within him… He wanted revenge and only Sombra probably knew what he wanted to do right now. His attention was drawn from Callie to Alexis as Callie soft voice was telling him how much might have changed in Klamath and that she couldn’t lose them both again. But the thought of leaving before that alpha was dealt with was creeping into his mind, how could he leave when that sick monster that mauled his baby sister and other innocent teens was still lose in the area, he couldn’t.

Turning his attention to Alexis he answered. “Yes I am Miranda’s big brother, and I am one angry wolf right now..” He didn’t mean for it to sound like he was taking it out on Alexis as he wasn’t he just needed to get his emotions in check, He will have to probably apologize later if he frightened her.

Cody rather enjoyed picking out clothes for Aron, choosing not just ones he knew that Aron would like, but ones that he knew would go well with Aron’s body type, choosing colours to accentuate him as well. He rather enjoyed having someone to do this for, and he had to admit, that he was picking them out for him based on his own ideas and preferences… After all, he loved Aron. Shifting the bags he carried into a way that he was balanced, smiling at Aron.

”I’m happy doing whatever you are, but maybe we should drop in on Syleste and Sebastian” He said, following Aron towards Zoe’s place-and now Aron’s place. He thought that he should have brought the painting with them… but he wanted to get it properly framed… make it look really good, not just for Aron-okay, mostly for Aron-but for Gage as well. He’d try and do that soon.

Waiting for Aron to open the door, Cody looked about, feeling a little out of place. This wasn’t just going over to his boyfriend’s place, but going over to… their alpha’s… it held a lot of meaning, something he wouldn’t have thought was possible. It was just a word, and yet… it wasn’t. Cody couldn’t quite explain it.

”Do you ever wonder about fate?” He asked, his voice soft, looking to Aron, his expression serious. ”I mean… do you ever think if something was different in our pasts… we wouldn’t be here?” He asked, thoughtfully.

Syleste Astrea (Vos) Nioré

Location: Sky Lakes Medical Center.
Interacting With: Gage Brooks (@BlackPanther), Cassandra Arvanitis (@Caits), Miranda Burke (@Damo021), Sebastian Monroe (@December), and Xerxes Arvanitis (@YoshiSkittlez).

“You should get some rest. I promise I'll still be here when you wake up again.”

She didn’t want to go back to sleep… sleep was where the nightmares began. The screams of all her friends… the horrid stench of copper everywhere… the pain ripping through her body- she just couldn’t do it. A flash of panic flickering over the surface of her eyes, Syleste shook her head back and forth in answer to his suggestion, her fingers curling over slightly as she tightened her grip over his hand just that little bit more.

He was worried about her; and it was that very thought that had a gentle warmth spreading through her very being. There was something about his being there that made her feel safe… that helped her to feel calm and relaxed… to feel loved beyond anything else. She had always been led to believe that a father or brother was the one who was meant to do that; but it had been made more than clear to her that ever since they met, Gage was the one who kept all her fears a bey… the one who kept the monsters from coming after her... unfortunately though she had the feeling that not even he could help stop the nightmare from coming back to her once she closed her eyes.

“Alright, you two. How are we doing?”

Her attention torn away from her boyfriend the moment a new voice filled the room, Syleste let her ever unseeing gaze turn over in the direction she could hear it coming from. For the longest of times now, Xerxes had been her doctor- one of the few people that her mother had come to trust with her health and disability. It was most likely due to that fact that her mother hadn’t come barging into the hospital in a mess of anger and panic…

“Syleste, I'd like to check your stitches first along with a few other things. Gage... would you mind?”

Hesitation clear in her features, Syleste nodded her head lightly up and down in response, reluctantly loosening her grip over his hand before eventually, she let go altogether, allowing him to move back so that Xerxes would be able to look her over like he needed to. They both just wanted what was best for her… she wasn’t about to stand in their way if what they did was going to help...

Hunter Leon Evans

Location: Sky Lakes Medical Center.
Interacting With: Miranda Burke (@Damo021).

Shutting off the engine, Hunter leant forward in his seat, his head tilting slightly as he looked up at the hospital that his sister had been taken to the night before. His very first shift at the fire station was over, finally; inductions were never fun, though they barely lasted a few hours, especially if you were one of the few exceptions who knew what they were doing. And now..? Well now he was free to do whatever it was he wanted to do… which meant he was actually free to keep an eye on this new guy his sister had so suddenly become so smitten with.

They called it imprinting; he called it ridiculous.

It was in no way imprinting… it couldn’t be. That sort of thing was a rarity within their world; and while not an impossibility, there was just no way she had managed to find her true mate within only a day of being in this new town. It was something they had been taught; something all weres, deep down, knew about… but it was also something that they knew had only about a one in a billion chance of happening.

God, his sister could be so damn compulsive… so fucking rebellious…

He was going to give the alpha that had gone and accepted her a real piece of his mind the moment he managed to catch up with her. Zoé Flores. He hadn’t been able to catch up with her before his shift had begun; but now… now he could really hunt her down, starting at the last place he knew her to have been: Sky Lakes Medical Center. She couldn’t avoid him forever.

Frowning slightly at the thought, he let a soft sigh of frustration fall through his lips, his hand coming up to lightly ruffle at his hair before he got out the car, slamming the door shut behind him as he headed into towards the door, slipping inside and taking a look around once he had a moment. Hospitals… argh God, he’d always disliked them; though that distaste had only come on with his introduction head-first into the supernatural world. It was a simple fact… weres and hospitals didn’t mix.

Things tended to turn rather awkward when a doctor came in to examine a wound that had already healed itself…

“Oh, for god’s sake!... Just give me the dam can you piece of…”

The sound dulled thuds and metal rattling catching his ear caused him to turn his head, his dark eyes glancing about his person as he made his way forward, following after the sounds until eventually, he came across the source of the commotion, his gaze coming to a rest on a young blonde who seemed truly intent in pulling a number over the vending machine in front of her.

“Oi..! Relax, pup; take my advice, humans ain’t used ta seeing’ young girls destroyin’ shit with one punch like that, besides... What the fuck that vending machine ever do ta you..?”

Callie watched Alexis interact with her friends, and was actually rather pleased that she was meeting James and Sombra, before seeing her friends again. It was a rather… well, a more stable sort of situation, to meet werewolves for the first time, as opposed to young, newly bitten wolves. At Alexis’s exclamation of not wanting to be a werewolf, Callie gave her a small smile. ”Well, the bite of a werewolf, of any supernatural creature, while it doesn’t turn us, does affect us, as well as hurt like hell. My dear Alexis, you are forever a witch” She said, her tone similar to that one might adopt when teaching, but she softened it with a smile, and a small laugh. ”And that is more than enough to be getting on with, isn’t it?”

As the conversation turned once more to that of Myra, and then to James, her smile and goodwill faded, ”It was why they left Klamath falls, to protect their families.” She said softly, Callie hadn’t relished saying goodbye to her friends, and she wasn’t going to relish doing so again, She couldn’t truly say she had many close friends, and with James and Sombra… she had some semblance of family.

She stepped back from the conversation as Leo messaged her, and she frowned over the words written, before she responded:

To: Leo
Don’t go to the scene until Zoè gives you leave to, and we will go together… the wolf that attacked the kids could still be around. And Zoè as a right to examine the scene first, she s the peak leader

Hopefully Leo would listen to her. She wouldn’t be happy with him if he didn’t, and she knew that Zoè would be absolutely furious. And Leo wasn’t stupid. please, behave Leo… There was enough going on without having to pull him out of the fire. Putting her phone away,

As James confirmed what she had figured out, she smiled once more, pleased with the news. ”Well, that is wonderful news indeed” She said, her pleasure reflected in her tone. Yet once more the conversation turned to darker things. She sighed softly again, and nodded. ”yes, as far as I’ve been able to tell, Miranda and her friends she went camping with were all attacked by an alpha.” She said, her mind going to the teenagers attacked, wondering just what that meant for klamath Falls.

She watched James, and subtly shifted slightly so that she was in front of Alexis somewhat, ready to protect the girl if James lost control. While both James and Sombra were, she hoped, in control, she knew that powerful emotions could overrule that training, that control, and she wasn’t going to have Alexis’s be bitten.

”Why don’t I show you both to a room then? You’ve had a long journey, for now the teenagers, and Miranda are okay. Take a bit of time to rest, and calm down” She said softly, carefully.
