Tatsu is a fairly cheerful, energetic individual who tries to look on the bright side and avoid taking anything too seriously. Her confidence in herself and her upbeat, easy-going attitude make it so that she usually finds it pretty easy to make friends and/or meet new people. Unfortunately, Tatsu tends to be a rather reserved individual, so it can be hard for her friends to get to know her well. She just doesn’t really like talking about herself at all, though she’s usually willing to listen to others.

Tatsu is also a very spontaneous individual, as she rarely plans ahead or thinks things through before making a decision. This means that it can be kind of hard for her friends to keep up with her, as it’s not uncommon for her to suddenly make a lot of progress on a project of hers or pick up a new hobby. Perhaps somewhat surprisingly, Tatsu tends to be a logically minded individual, and she often has a hard time understanding the emotions of others. This lack of empathy, of course, often leads to Tatsu coming across as insensitive, even though there’s rarely any actual malice in her actions.

Though Tatsu is usually content to just go with the flow, she can be incredibly stubborn if she feels that she’s being criticized or restricted in some way. As such, she is rather prone to breaking rules that she feels are pointless and ignoring advice, even if it comes from people who are close to her. Because of these habits, she tends to be labelled as a troublemaker by authority figures, though it’s not like she particularly wants to cause trouble.

Tatsu was born to Iruto and Amaya Kanashiro in Kitakyushu, Japan. Shortly after she was born, it became apparent that she wasn’t growing as quickly as she should have been. After running a few tests, her family’s doctor concluded that she had a growth hormone deficiency and that she was allergic to the treatments. This meant that she would always be significantly smaller than her peers and that she would be lucky to end up being much taller than four feet.

Knowing just how cruel kids could be to those that were different, and fearing that their daughter might end up being bullied in school, Tatsu’s parents, though occasionally a little too overprotective for her tastes, tried their hardest to encourage their daughter to pursue her interests and talents. As such, when Tatsu’s quirk manifested itself around the age of four, her parents were incredibly supportive. They never tried to stop her from just casually using her ability, and instead aimed to teach her to avoid using it irresponsibly.

Likewise, when she showed an interest in learning how to work with wood and metal like her father, a carpenter by trade, he allowed her to help him out in his workshop while teaching her about the tools and techniques that he used in his craft. Once her father felt that she was capable enough, he allowed her to work on her own projects, under his supervision of course. It was this freedom to pursue what she found interesting that led to Tatsu’s love of trying new things, especially ones that involve working with her hands.

When Tatsu decided that she wanted to apply to to the Apprenticeship program in America because she felt that it would be a good idea to learn how to better control her abilities and that participating in heroics sounded like fun, her parents were supportive as well. And so, with their encouragement, Tatsu eventually found herself on her way to New York.

Tatsu’s quirk enables her to move objects with her mind. In order to manipulate an object, Tatsu needs to be able to either see it or touch it. This condition really only applies when she begins manipulating an object, however, as she’s essentially touching the object psychically once it’s wrapped in telekinetic energy.

It’s estimated that the maximum amount of weight that she can lift at once is around 500 lbs, though she’s currently only able to lift around 100 lbs due to her inexperience. The size of the object(s) also limit how fast she can move them. The tiers are broken down roughly as follows:

• If they’re close to the maximum weight she can lift, she’ll only be able to move them slowly.
• If they’re about half the maximum weight she can lift, she’ll be able to move them at about a walking pace, or a slight jog if she pushes herself.
• Objects that are about a fifth of the maximum weight she can lift can be thrown with some speed, but it’s like throwing a beach ball for her.
• Objects that are about a twentieth of the maximum weight she can lift can be thrown with as much speed as a professional pitcher’s fastball.

Tatsu also finds it incredibly difficult to use telekinesis on people (so long as they’re alive anyway). This means that the most she could manage would be slowing down a punch or a kick, though it would require a large amount of energy. The only exception to this rule is her own body. As such, she’s able to lift herself in a makeshift sort of flight or use telekinesis to add force to a punch or kick. At the moment, however, she is incapable of making herself fly. The most she can do is slow down how fast she's falling, which results in a sort of gliding ability. It's important to note that she is currently able to use telekinesis to boost the speed and strength of her movements, however.

Though it kind of goes without saying, using her abilities fatigues Tatsu both mentally and physically. When lifting the maximum amount of weight that she can, she’s only able to last for around 5 to 10 minutes before she drops from exhaustion. On the other hand, she could lift really light objects and hold them for several hours before she really begins to feel the fatigue.

Iccho is rather stern and always looking to take charge of a situation. The reason he wants to be in charge because he feels others will screw up. He fully believes in his capabilities and is slow to trust others in basically every way. This belief that he has the right to be in charge can lead to others feeling Iccho can be abrasive, and that is a kind word for it. He realizes this flaw in himself, but it is rather difficult to overcome.

His biggest fear is failure, so he tries his best to succeed in everything he does. This is not realistic and it causes him to take failures a lot harder than he should. This leads to an over competitive “spirit”. He pushes himself and others to the point of breaking. He has the capability of being a strong and good leader, but he has many personal flaws that he needs to work on to reach his potential.

Iccho was born and raised in Kaului, Hawaii. This means that the whole new world of high quality hero training will be a whole new experience for Iccho. His father was a fisherman of Japanese decent and his mother, from New York, worked as a school teacher. Iccho idolized his father and how strong he was. When Iccho started to develop his quirk, it was a natural fit on a fishing boat. It is a lot easier to transport fish when they have been paralyzed. He started to go out on his father’s ship, so Iccho has the strength of a fisherman. He works out every day to reach his father.

However, all changed when his father’s boat was destroyed in a storm created by a super villain. His father took his ship out into the storm to help save a ferry that was caught in the storm. Iccho saw how brave his father was and this inspired Iccho to pursue being a hero. His mother did everything she could to push Iccho away from being a hero, but it was to no avail. Iccho had a group of friends who would help solve problems around the city, but they grew apart when Iccho wanted to take it more seriously and his friends wanted to just have fun.

When his friends abandoned him, Iccho became determined to become a real hero just like his father was. He applied for a mainland hero program in order to improve his quirkm so he can be the hero that his city and the island of Hawaii needs. He knows that he has to change his ways if he wants to become a hero, but it is hard to trust others when everyone he trusts have abandoned him.

His body hair can accumulate a large amount of keratin, so his body hairs become sharp quills that can come out of any pore. They are currently only able to be rather small, about 3 inches (7.62 cm). He is able to remove the quills and throw them towards his enemy. Iccho can only recuperate his quills about 4 times in a short fight. This limits his ability to throw quills, and how he can defend himself.

The quills also have a slight paralytic poison on the tips that paralyze a small portion of a human’s body (i.e. if a person gets hit on the upper arm then their upper arm will be paralyzed). The poison is currently not potent enough to spread far in the body or cause major organ failure. Iccho has been able to build up an immunity to his poison over time, so he is not affected by it whenever his body secretes it.

Tempest’s manner of dealing with people is self-assured and charming, and he is said to be the "Princely" type. He uses his wiles to entertain while simultaneously focusing on the task at hand. Although he often appears bruised and injured, and his eyes and raspy make others perceive him as weird, Tempest's personality reflects that of royalty. He often realizes things the others are too naive to understand, keeping the information to himself for his own amusement or to watch things play out in order to determine how best to help the others. Tempest is calm and logical. Because of his time spent at home and away from many people, he also can come across as rather detached.
Coupled with his "princely" attitude, he is very polite to people who are in power or related to it, and only helps people who can benefit him in some way. He has a habit of being skeptical in situations that won't benefit him or his friends. He tends to be quite serious, but he is tolerant of his friends eccentric personalities. He is not afraid to speak his mind...except for when his throat hurt, in which he physically can't speak his mind.

Temperance was born in Seoul, South Korea. Judging by his name, his parents were expecting a girl, but even after his birth they stuck with it. Like many other children, Tempest's quirk came into fruition when he was four; he had gotten into a fist fight with another child. Unaware that the other's attacks were ultimately making him stronger, Tempest sent the the kid to the hospital with one punch. His parents believed that their son had super strength at first, but everything became clear within the first few months of having his quirk; that he was absorbing energy and redirecting it into his muscles.

Moving to America due to a job opportunity and growing up as an only child, Tempest spent a lot of time in his father's weapon shop; due to the lack of customers, it was usually just the two of them in there. When it was just them, Tempest's father made it an active routine to introduce every weapon he had up for sale to his son so that one day he could take over the shop. Of course, Tempest was excited to do anything with his father, but he was only six at the time, so while the images of the weapons remained in his mind, the information about them didn't. Fortunately, going around the shop multiple times a day with his dad made the information stick, although it was mostly basic; what the weapons were good for doing.

(There was an accident in the shop where one of the old racks holding a set of various tools gave in, toppled over and fell right on top of Tempest while he was doing his hourly walk around the shop. The rack completely trampled him, with his throat taking the most damage due to the placement of the shelves. His father attempted to free him, but because Temperance was clearly panicking, his quirk made it impossible to get near without taking any unintentional blows. Fortunately, the paramedics arrived and got him to the hospital, where they were able to take care of his wounds and determine that Temperance would have a permanent ruptured throat, limiting his speech capabilities to a raspy, uneven voice. Despite this traumatic moment that's permanently scarred him for the rest of his life, Tempest was more than ready to get back into the shop and further his education on weapons.)

As the shop started growing popular with heroes and partnerships with hero schools, Tempest's father became increasingly busy, leaving said boy on his own to learn. He read about the weapons, how they were made, where they originated from, and their usage, watched videos of people or heroes using such weapons (of course, he was too young to wield any at the time, and the whole thing with the rack from earlier), and even started to broaden his horizons to other information that would prove useful. And so, for the years that he wasn't aloud to wield any of the weapons in his father's shop, Tempest learned everything he could about them, and everything else; he spent almost every wake moment trying to stuff more information into his brain.

By the time he was around ten, Tempest's father gave him permission to touch the safe weapons in the upper level of the shop. Although the safe weapons were made of plastic or had rubber covering the sharp parts, Tempest was about to try his skills. Fortunately, all of his work paid off as every safe weapon he held, he had some idea of how to use. And now that he was able to see what the weapons felt like, he started spending all of his time in there; even bringing a blanket, some snacks, and a few books to read if he didn't understand something.

Tempest took increasingly interest in the bo, or staff. It was a weapon that most people overlooked for its sharper counterparts. And with enough begging, Tempest got his father to come up when his shop wasn't busy and show him how to wield. That coupled with professional videos online made him a force to be reckoned.

Once he had turned twelve, Tempest had an idea of what he wanted to do for the rest of his life, he wanted to be a hero. Of course, having all of this weapon knowledge for the shop was good, but he felt like he could make that knowledge more useful as a hero coupled with his quirk. Tempest decided to enroll into Kosei Academy as he saw it as a way to make his father even more well known by possibly using and getting weapons from him.

Tempest's is able to absorb and utilize energy from physical and blunt force attacks. The energy, once absorbed momentarily, would be used by his muscles to temporarily increase his physical strength immensely. Limits would include the inability to nullify attacks since he only absorbs energy. Tempest also has a limit to how much energy he can absorb. Absorbing too much puts him at risk of destroying himself from the inside out while redirecting too much energy to his muscles could lead to the rest of Tempest becoming physically drained and paralyzed. When using too much energy, Tempest experiences a state of hyperactivity, but if he doesn't take a break, he'll eventually feel physically drained, to the point that he can't move his body anymore.
