Tenzin looks much as one would expect from stereotypes and movies of a monk from some mountain trained in fighting arts. He has Tibetan features and a strong physique. His skin is lighter, and he has some other features more "westernized", so there's probably intermixing in his bloodline, but still takes after the Tibetan features mostly.

Tenzin is relatively calm and collected. This does not mean he is stoic and withdrawn. He loves to throw all of his being into any task, with enthusiasm and vigor. Active and energetic, yet he does not waste this energy, but focuses it. Tenzin also cares deeply for the emotional well being of those around him, and will take the time to try and talk through things with others.

What does it take for a peaceful monk to take up weapons once learned as part of tradition to fight in a galactic war in giant mechs? In his own words, "In a storm, you must stand with your neighbors" which sounds a bit like one started ones sentence with the intention of a vague cryptic metaphor, and then decided to just be straightforward halfway through. He does this to stand with the people of Eleos V. He views the militia as a violent protest. The Outer Colonies nor the Earth Sphere will not hear of some peaceful display, nor does the militia have any chance of forcing them of their world. But this is a violent protest he believes is right. If they can inspire the conscripted forces to rebel, perhaps they have a chance of rendering Eleos V undesirable to either faction.

But where does this not!Tibetan monk come from on Eleos V? Well, he comes from a wet highland region of Eleos V,
a rolling land of pastures marked with small stone walls that could well be mistaken for Scotland named "གཡང་", or, "Chasm", because it had a really big chasm on its northern border. Tenzin hails from here, being born on Eleos V, even if from a region with strong heritage from Earth. He worked the earth, cared for animals, learned of spiritual matters, and trained himself in historical ways of fighting, as a sort of moving meditation and sport.

Chasm was NOT a priority target for either faction. It's subsistence farming and ranching, with a few temples that are definitely not bedecked in gold and precious metals. The population density wasn't even very good for conscription. Its mechanical resources were composed of some smartphones and small electric cars for getting around. It even had no strategic value, as there's a great big literal chasm separating Chasm from anything important.

Tenzin had no personal reason to fight, and yet did so anyway.

Olivia is not very tall, but she is strong and fit. Her hair's brown, but will get the darkest shade of blond during summer. Her hazel eyes are her favorite facial feature. They will change color depending on her moods and sometimes even clothing she's wearing. Her chin is adorned by a slight dimple and her lips are full and gently pink. Her complexion is permanently tanned due to long hours spent in the fields.

Olivia is hardworking and easygoing person. She doesn't balk at the hardships of life. Instead she tries to find things to offset them. To balance them. Or someone to share the burdens with.

Olivia was raised on a farm, operated and cared for by three families. They grew all sorts of vegetables. Olivia loved working the fields. It was hard work, but it was rewarding. You could literally see the fruits of your labors. So she never complained and did her chores dutifully and promptly. She learned the value of hard work. Yes, it wasn't work that would get you rich. Not by far. But she never wanted for nothing. She had her family, her work. She was happy. And of course it is how she discovered her first love.

Growing up in the farm, she had to learn to operate all sorts of farming equipment and with the passing of the years she grew more and more curious about their inner workings. What made them work, how to fix them when they broke. She would spend equal amount with the old mechanic who kept their equipment in working order, as she would on the fields. Bit by bit and year by year she would learn the craft and soon became as proficient in fixing things as he was, if not better. Her mother hated it, of course. Her little girl would come home greased up from head to toe. Her elbows and knuckles constantly scraped. But Olivia loved it and she made quite the case for herself stating that when the old mechanic retired, they wouldn't need to pay someone else, because she could just do the work herself. And so it went.

But Olivia was also smart. She didn't just love learning by doing. She would collect books and all kinds of study materials. Anything to help her folks with the farm.

So when the Catastrophe War started and the colony declared its neutrality she hoped they would be left alone to their way of life. It might have been a hard life. But it was theirs and they'd made it work. However, slowly but surely Eleos was dragged into the conflict and she felt compelled to protect her home and the way of life, she'd grown to love. And so she'd volunteered for the Planetary Militia. She brought her mechanic skills on the table. Which were now expended to include mech maintenance.

Being small Olivia quickly discovered a preference for long ranged combat and sought to increase her proficiency with sniper rifles. She also trained like a devil in hand to hand to offset her small stature with a quick style of close quarters combat. In and out, attacking the week spots. She wanted to be as efficient as possible. She wanted this war over and done with, so she could go back to her farm, grow her crops and work on her machines.

Olivia is a very good mechanic, sniper, proficient in hand to hand combat. She gives a mean back-rub and can play the harmonica. She can also sing quite well and has the voice for it, but is incredibly self-conscious doing it.

Follow is short and usually looks unfriendly. Unlike most farming residents of Eleos V, she proundly wears the sturdy clothing of an Armored Frame pilot. Her body is toned and slight.

O'Malley is a crude woman who has more love for her reliable locomotives than her fellow people. She has a tight inner circle of people she likes, based much more on how skilled and useful they are than by how friendly. Despite being self serving, she has a strong sense of justice.

O'Malley was just born bad. She was raised by a modest farming family, but by the time she was eight she was smoking stolen tobacco and stealing coin purses to get by. As she aged, she made her living by swindling farmers who came from their fields to the 'town', through rigged gambling games and intimidation. By the time she matured, she owned her own small gambling hall as a front for smuggled goods, and had collected a modest following as a criminal.

She has a terrible reputation, but most people are too intimidated by her wealthy and power to deal with her.

However, when the Catastrophe War broke out and Eleos V's peace was shattered, Follow was one of the first to sink some of her wealth on an Armored Frame - and became a principal member of the colony's small defense force.

Pansexual - though she'd never admit it, Follow has greater respect for people that challenge her than people that let her have her way.

Her love of excess and her desire to protect her home planet are in conflict to each other.

Is a short lither girl, with wide eyes and a wider smile, her long blond hair often pulled into a ponytail, which happily for her matches the western style outfit she stubbornly keeps too.

Riley is a peppy short girl, with wide eyes and seemingly boundless energy, Despite herself she a capable shot, armed with a pair of conventional pistols, modeled to at least emulate the look of a pair of revolvers. Riley has a bit of an obsession with old west iconography, despite it being dated as it is.

Riley had always been a rambunctious kind of girl, enchanted by tale of wandering heroes. Ones who thwarted bandits and saved the day. She grew up on a farm, but found the life completely dull, happy to help with the work, and thankful for how she was raised and the two kind people who had done it, she stayed on their families field for a few years more then she would've liked.

After being bothered by the urge to see the world, bothered her more by the day, shed stay up at night contemplating simply leaving with her saved cash and clothes and pistols and just going.

Soon after, her parents in a loving but misguided gesture tried to marry her off into a more wealthy family, hoping for a better life for their child. Needless to say she took this poorly, and finally left her home, travelling and subsiding off of odd jobs for several years until the war came, taking her moderate skills to the militia she joined the ranks soon after.

An otherwise average John Doe with rather eccentric fashion sense, donning antique leather apparel such as a flight coat, aviator goggles, and a bomber mask when he engages in militia operations. Raz's brown hair is groomed in such a way that a large portion spikes out forward, even when he wears his mask.

Optimistic, complacent, and a thrill seeker. Raz is an easily satisfied person who prefers cool theatrics and big hero moments over facing harsh reality.

Born to native colonists of Eleos V that had moved to greener pastures, Raz had big dreams that were matched by his parents' big expectations. During his early years, Raz had developed an interest in being a pilot due to his father, who was unable to pursue this career while he was younger. While he did display a better-than-average proficiency in piloting, the praise he would receive were many and somewhat undeserved. This led to Raz thinking he was a natural talent that could not be hindered by any obstacle. By the time he was enrolled in an Earth Sphere approved military college, he couldn't keep up with the responsibilities required of him and was dishonorably discharged before getting anywhere near an officer's uniform.

Without much to fall back on, Raz decided to return to Eleos V to live with his grandparents instead of confronting the people he had known for most of his life. Unfortunately, this life altering event had coincided with the much larger tragedy known as the Catastrophe War. This set of circumstances was fortunately the second chance that Raz needed, or so he thought.

While he didn't officially become part of the ES' Armored Frame corps, Raz does have most of the training needed to be a rookie pilot such as space and terrestrial combat, along with firearm handling. Unfortunately, engagement tactics was the subject he had the most trouble with, as he preferred to fight up close for all the simulations he would find himself in.

Speedball is his childhood nickname, which he has chosen to expand as his new piloting persona while in the militia. He also has a vintage comic book collection, which is where he draws inspiration from for his alter ego.

Emmanuel likes to keep a good looking appearance, with well tailored clothes, combed hair, and the like. He tends to not go casual as a general standard that he holds himself too, though he may let himself grow a bit of a stubble depending on he mood that he's in.

Emmanuel tends to look at the realist side of things, with an emphasis on organization and structure. He always has some goal in mind and is focused on that goal. He doesn't feel bad with what he does, and is the kind of person who always prefers to be doing something even if it might not be that important. So needless to say he is an active individual. He is loyal to those that he cares about, and to those whom h makes a deal with for a good representation of his personal integrity. As for combat, while he may not use dirty tricks he will nonetheless fight with an eye at winning as quickly as possible.

Born on the colony world of New Archangelsk, Emmanuel's early life was fairly unremarkable. Growing up as the son of factory workers, he was always the ambitious type, the one who was determined to be more than just a factory worker who was content with his lot in life. That was why he went to school as best he was able, working all the while. At the first opportunity he got he jumped off to ho join the military, where he could do the things that he wanted to do.

Well, so he thought. Turns out the propaganda was a tad bit of a lie, and he ended up drummed out of the service for his attitude among other things, and an incident that he doesn't talk about. That left him with a bit of a situation, but he was not about to go home and admit that he had failed. His own stubbornness would not allow him to.

So he moved around a bit, and eventually found a place where he could put his skills to use. That was as a bodyguard, protecting the rich and famous from whatever bad things might happen and saving them from themselves. Most of it was pretty boring and involved suffering abuse, but there were a few exciting times from rabid fans or terrorists and the like. He's definitely gotten out there and seen the galaxy, just not with as much relaxation as he might like.

That was why he was on Eleos when the war came here. Now he's stuck guarding some hotshot celebrity to make sue that hey don't get themselves killed. He has his work cut out for him.
