Severa appears laid back at first glance and generally aloof, upon first introductions. Though she does aim to appear impressive and even admired by her peers. She generally seems like she doesn't care about much but there is one piece to the contrary. As it happens, Severa has plenty of buttons to push and as a result, is probably one of the more easier people to piss off. Although sometimes she is regretful for her short fuse but not all the time. There is an underlining sense of heroism in her, as she generally believes people should be honest and honorable, but sometimes she misses her mark when she is in a fit of rage.

Severa is the product of an accidental pregnancy between an American and a Japanese. It may sound unflattering but that was the realty as her mother hooked up with an American man while she was visiting the United States. Even though Severa was unplanned, her mother decided to carry the pregnancy to full term as Severa's mother met another man, a rich, foreign tycoon, who promised a happy life for both. The young family spent a lot of time traveling around and enjoying the satisfying life that wealth had brought them. That wasn't to say they didn't have their troubles. Severa had always been aware of her supposed father's indifference to her even though her mother told her "not to worry about it". It wasn't until later in life that she found out.

Though the circumstances were odd, Severa was not told anything until she was twelve, after pressing her mother excessively. Even then, she only knows the bare bones of that story. Still, it was enough of an impression for Severa to develop her attitude of resentment and bitterness towards her parents. This rebellious attitude kindled under the certain negative influences of a friend until finally they caught up to her. Due to a bit of maliciousness, she ended up getting into a bit of trouble in Japan and chose to leave, picking the United States as her new home.

With the promise of a life using her Quirk and with the fact she had no where else to turn, she decided to join the Hands-On force in New York...

Phantom Menace
Transformation Quirk. Severa has the ability to secrete a transparent but visible ethereal vaporous gas form (pictured below) that she can transfer her consciousness to, leaving her physical body behind. Being a gas, Severa can fly and float with relative ease, and being ethereal means that things that happen on a physical plane can no longer touch this form. Essentially, Severa can phase through walls and be unaffected by physical attacks. However, Severa can, provided she concentrates, bring her vaporous gas to the physical plane, allowing her to interact physical with things. Furthermore, Severa can grab an object or person and bring them back with her to the ethereal plane, meaning that thing or person will no longer be impacted by the physical world. The person or object is immediately returned to physical state once contact with Severa is broken.

There are limitations and a significant weakness to Severa's Quirk. There is a limit to the size and weight of an object she can't make ethereal. A rough estimate puts that limit at the average sized human. There is also no threat of death if someone was released in another object, like a wall. Instead, one would find themselves trapped. Severa's weakness is that her physical body is left behind and since her consciousness goes along with her vaporous form, her physical body is left as if it were a soulless wandering husk. Damage to Severa's physical body will also harm her vaporous form, at least she'll perceive it so.

There is another additional note about the Phantom Menace Quirk. It is that Severa must mutate (usually her hand as pictured above) in order to secrete the vaporous gas. This mutated flesh appears burned with crystals coming out of her skin. Though interesting to look at, it appears that mutation is simply a cause to the effect of the gas and in itself, appears entirely mundane.

Severa's family is rich and lives rather well with no apparent sign of her being cut off. It is also because of this money that Severa had several private trainers to condition her for the whole hero career, so she is naturally in good shape and health for her age.
