BOKU NO HERO LOSER ACADEMIA

Musutafu, Japan

As the saying goes, you can't always get what you want no matter how hard you try. That is an inescapable truth of life. You are either the shining star of your own story or a face in the crowd watching someone else shimmer in the spotlight. The world has reached an age of heroes and villains, humans have gained superpowers known as "quirks" and it has given rise to people aiming for the greatest of heights or the deepest pits of depravity. Schools of great influence have risen in this new world order that train heroes by putting them through rigorous excercises and competitions aimed at developing the usage of their 'quirks' to better save the rank and file people of the city.

U.A High - The #1 school for the rising stars of the next hero generation!

Too bad you didn't get in, huh?
It is also a tragic shame that none of the other hero training schools accepted you either.

That is correct, you who are not strong enough to carry your own weight. Too true, to you few who cannot adapt to the unknown and emerge victorious. To the slow and humble, I say you did not aspire to greatness so your failure is all the more poignant. You're all labeled as losers to the big fish in this city.
But that does not mean your dreams are over! FAR FROM IT! Your refusal to become a doormat support to the more gifted kids does not make you weak. It shows you at least have the courage to still try and be a hero.

Welcome to the Last Option School for Eccentric Rejects. LOSER for short. You are all here because no other hero training facility would let you show the world what you are made of. Rejects by the standards set by the self-righteous lording over this city like its kings just because they brought the bad guys down here and there over the years.

Show me what you can do, 'heroes'.

------------------------

TL;DR - You're a loser. You were unable to secure a position somewhere better to learn how to be a hero. NOW your only option is to fall in with the smallest and least funded Training academy (if you could call such a small place a school, let alone an academy!) in the entire city in an attempt to reach your lofty goal as a hero.

------------------------

Character sheet

Name:

Age: (15-16)

Personality: Keep it short.

Quirk: I don't wanna see some superman ripoff with like a million gimmicks, or one overpowered quirk capable of sundering time and space for all eternity. Get creative but be aware that I will tone it down if need be.

Background: Why are you a loser? Did you just not try hard enough, did you get distracted, etc. I don't need a life story just a reason you're at L.O.S.E.R

Equipment: Does your quirk rely on an extra gimmick like the taking of blood, so you need a knife to help with that? Write it down here.

Misc: Tell me a bit about the character. Not related to your personality or background but maybe some fun hobbies, awards you've won, how many times you've seen the same youtube video when you're sad. Flesh out your character as a person a bit more here or leave blank.

Question. Would a shapeshifter who can't "undo" their transformations count as a "Loser" quirk?

@Turboshitter quirk doesn't have to be a loser one. Circumstance could have determined your failure to enter the top schools. But if that is what you want then so be it.

Truth be told I'd like to see people with amazing quirks who just failed to demonstrate themselves well enough to the major schools.

What does the facility look and feel like? Given the description i've gathered that it's quite small and possibly underfunded. You also mentioned that it's a school so are there multiple classes, years, departments etc?

@FiroIV to be revealed in detail ic. For now, just imagine it is a home turned into a school. Poorly.
Classes all taught by the same 2 teachers. No departments.

Teaches 5-10 students. Period.

As for feel? Depressing

Hell, you need at least one. What's a dysfunctional school without some dysfunctional students?

@Blu quirk seems a bit strong. Does it only nullify if it is the proper hand that comes in contact with the opposing quirk?

@Mercurial if he says "get over here" even once I'll beat you. Accepted :P

@Zelosse To your question, yes, it only nullifies if it's the correct hand, his right hand. But, as I've mentioned, there's a cool down every time it's used so it's not something that can be spammed. And his left hand is restricted to how powerful he can throw his punch (he's rather physically weak). It just goes through any Quirk-based defenses.
