Name: Duncan Webb
Age: 26
Gender: Male
Ethnicity/Nationality: English/American
Rank: Lance Corporal
Role: Designated Marksman

Physical Description:
Prior to surgery, Duncan Webb stood at an impressive 6'3", and came in at around 200 lbs. Now, bound to his wheelchair, he's closer to just over 4 and a half. Other then the wheelchair, Duncan has a fairly forgettable face: square features, a lightly tanned skin tone, and curly brown hair.

Webb's RI-1 Shell is an interesting piece of work. The unit's helmet is painted a dark grey with a design motif reminiscent of a medieval knight's helmet - that is the personal work of the morning shift pilot, Terrence McKnight. On the right shoulder plate the second operator painted the black image of the mandalorian Krybes, an image from a classic sci fi franchise. On the left chest, over where the human heart would be is the image of a large dark gray and white target with a red dot in the center, with the words "Shoot here" written under them in bright red blocky letters - Webb's personal addition.

Psychological Analysis:
Relaxed and lazy, yet competent and acceptably professional, Duncan Webb is a confident and efficient soldier. A generally good natured man with strong feelings of camaraderie towards teammates, Webb is fairly friendly, and talkative, often making sarcastic jokes or face-palm worthy puns even when knee deep in mud or face down in the dirt, and tends to make self-deprecating jokes from time to time. Gung-ho and loyal, Webb cares little about the for politics and puts the survivablity of his team above all. Casually boastful of his abilities, Webb has a can-do attitude towards most tasks, and his typically a relaxed and easy going temperament makes him able to keep calm in most circumstances. His confidence and boastful nature often come off as arrogant or ignorant, but his comrades have generally concluded most of his big talk to be hot air to lighten the mood.

Service Record:
Duncan Webb was the oldest of three, and only son of a police officer and nurse. The oldest, and only son in a household of 3 children, Duncan was quick to assume the role of "secondary man of the house" at a young age, to help his parents take care of the family and house. With the increased responsibility, as well as living with a police officer, Duncan had a fairly rigid childhood, as his parents sent him to military academies for most of his youth, hoping to iron down the relatively troublesome and mischievous antics and acting out Duncan had a habit of getting into during his youth. As a youth Duncan performed well in school and sports alike, excelling in mathematics as well as athletics, though was often disciplined for disrupting class, fighting and arguing with teachers and students. Nevertheless, Duncan graduated with honors, and upon graduating from high school Webb declined a scholarship from the Virginia Military Institute and instead went to UC San Diego.

Duncan graduated from UC San Diego, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. After spending a one year stint with volunteer firefighters, Webb enlisted in the US Marines, and underwent training in San Diego. After completing basic training, Duncan went to DM School, and became a marksman. Six months later he married his college sweetheart, shortly after which Duncan was shipped off to the opposite side of the world to protect American interests in Korea. Involved in a campaign against an increasingly aggressive North Korea, Duncan found himself pitted in intense combat for days at a time.

Halfway through his third tour in Korea, Duncan's squad were pinned down in Kaesong. During the intense conflict, Duncan was shot twice and was hit by a blast of shrapnel from a distant grenade. As a result, Duncan had severe nerve damage and partial paralysis resulting in him being unable to move his legs. While in the hospital, one of the doctors mentioned something about the Remote Infantry Corps as his only option to get the sensation of walking again.

Instead of being discharged Duncan instead signed up for the Remote Infantry Program, and upon graduating was assigned to the 1st Remote Infantry Division where he has spent much of the past year.

Name: Ward, Elton “T.N.T.”
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Ethnicity/Nationality: American of varied descent (50% African-American, 12.5% French, 12.5% Vietnamese, 12.5% Arabic, 6.25% British & 6.25% Seneca – Native American)
Rank: Corporal
Role: Fire Team Leader

Physical Description:
Elton stands 5’10” tall, weighing 180 Lbs appears as a typical young American black man with brown skin, short black hair and brown eyes. He has a prosthetic left leg below the knee. Elton’s RI-1 shell is colored in three tones; olive drab green covers most prominent areas of the armor, smaller trim pieces and accents are colored in tan and the under suit of rubber mesh is colored black. Painted upon the left breast plate is the standard USMC globe and anchor symbol about 4” in diameter with the words Honor, Courage, Commitment written below the symbol in black. Upon the left shoulder is the patch for the 1st Remote Infantry Division. Upon the right shoulder is the patch for the 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion. Down the left side thigh is the colored patches of the US 3rd Marine Regiment and the 1st Battalion, 4th Marines. Down the right-side thigh are the colored patches for the 1st Battalion, 6th Marines and the 7th Marine Regiment. Painted upon the right breast is the Marine Force Recon badge and below this golden badge of honor is an italicized inscription, “Semper Fidelis means This Sucks!”. Dominating the back plate of the armor is the Marine Force Recon Logo. Above the Marine Force Recon Logo is the RI-1s name emblazoned in 4” red letters, “Well Oiled Machine” or “WOMBAT”. A small cartoon depiction of seven sticks of dynamite, resembling “T.N.T.” is painted on the RI-1s right forearm with USMC Corporal stripes above the dynamite.

Psychological Analysis:
Elton was an athlete in high school prior to joining the USMC. He has that confident jock attitude, which underlines his demeanor. Although, he was injured in combat and lost the lower half of his left leg. He went through a dark time for several months while learning to acclimate himself to this change in his life. He didn’t want to leave the Corps and was able to find gainful employment as a pilot in the Remote Infantry Corps. This change in MOS has helped to lift his spirits and renew his former cocky demeanor, but the loss of the leg does weigh heavy on his mind.

Elton is a straight shooter. He doesn’t care about the environment, the trees, the ozone layer, human’s carbon footprint or the furry animals of the forest. Fuck the whales is an oft spoken phrase when someone gets on their soap box about environmental matters. He is fascinated with firearms, remaining passionate about his marksmanship ability. He enjoys watching professional sports and is an avid Green Bay Packers fan even though he grew up in a Chicago suburb. He does love the Chicago Bulls and the Cubs.

Elton prefers to remain silent, but when he is allowed to relax, he can run his mouth of excessively. He can be a moody person. If he is not in the mood, he is quiet, but if he is feeling good, watch out the verbal diarrhea is abundant.

Service Record:
After graduating from Deerfield High School as the class member most likely to get drafted into the NFL, Elton joined the US Marine Corps. Elton was one of the top Running Backs in High School football in the state of Illinois his senior year.

Elton spent his first few months in the Corps at Marine Recruit training at Camp Pendleton, California. Upon completion of recruit training he attended Marine Recon training, also at Camp Pendleton where he spent 65 days learning how to fight as a Reconnaissance Marine, Military Occupation Specialty: 0321. Prior to unit assignment, Elton Ward was sent to US Army Fort Benning’s Airborne School. He graduated with his parachutist badge upon completion of the Airborne Training.

His first duty assignment was with A Company, 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, Camp Courtney, Okinawa, Japan. While with 3rd Recon, he spent time conducting reconnaissance and surveillance operations in North Korea, Philippines and other areas of Southeast Asia. He experienced a few firefights with hostiles during these low-level covert operations, but never received serious injury during these first two years of his time with the Marines. He was promoted to Lance Corporal before leaving Okinawa.

Elton’s second duty assignment was with the 7th Marine Regiment at 29 Palms in California. This time he was assigned to the Force Reconnaissance Platoon in the Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF, pronounced MAG-TAF). Shortly after assignment with the 7th Marine’s Force Recon platoon, Elton attended USMC Combatant Diver Course in Panama City, Florida. Upon completion of this course, Elton was dual qualified airborne and Scuba; a condition all Recon marines strive to achieve.

While with the 7th Marines (MAGTF), he deployed to several Central and South American nations in pursuit of American interests abroad. After a year with Force Recon he was promoted Corporal and assigned as a Fire Team Leader. Six months later, he was involved in combat in Nicaragua that resulted in the deaths of four platoon mates and the loss of the lower half of his left leg. A mortar round exploded near him, rendering him unconscious and ripping his leg off. A small sinew and tendon held the leg to his knee for more than three hours before being removed aboard a US Navy hospital ship located in the Caribbean Ocean.

Corporal Ward spent the next eighteen months in the hospital. He was fitted with a prosthetic leg and attended rehabilitation training to use the new leg. While at the Hospital, Elton Ward felt extremely depressed, suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). He was saddened by the loss of fellow Marines as well as his leg. He had always been a physical specimen and considered he was now less than a man. Suicide may be his only alternative in his mind.

A Navy doctor told the young Recon Marine about a new organization known as the Remote Infantry Corps. It would allow him to use his skills as an infantryman, without having to expose himself to the perils of combat. It took a while for him to warm up to the idea. Also, he received counseling and psychological evaluations to help him overcome his PTSD induced depression. He eventually opted for the RIC training over discharge or death. He graduated from the program six months ago and has slowly returned to the confident Elton Ward who played football in Illinois.

HK416N Carbine with M203 Grenade Launcher attached

Name: Fusco, Alex - N/A
Age: Twenty-four
Gender: Female
Ethnicity/Nationality: German/English - American
Rank: Lance Corporal
Role: Support Gunner

Physical Description:

Alex stands at five foot nine, she has medium length blond hair and wears a pair of glasses. She appears to be of average build, with a fair skin tone and blue eyes. She dons the uniform of the 1st RIC, her boot legs are bloused and the pair of combat boots she wears is usually polished to a fine point.

The RT-1 shell, modified by Fusco has the words painted in red "Hey Fucker!" on the upper chest of the suit. On the lower part of the chest piece would be covered in a web of art. The left side had a ying and yang symbol but the yang was blood red and bleeding. The right side had a shattered pool eight ball.

The word 5l4Y3R (SLAYER) is painted hastily on the back of the RT-1, a nick name decided by the three operators on shift rotations because the RT-1 could plow throw a dozen men alone. In theory at least. The second operator, Private Bentley painted two SS lightning bolts on the left pauldron of the RT-1 and below it the American flag with the words "Freedom Forever!" under the flag. Along the left forearm of the RT-1 would be a painted picture of a cobra snaking around the arm just under the wrist of the left hand with it's mouth open. The third operator, Private First Class Morrison covered the right arm in paintings of the 1st RIC unit's name and insignia of the unit. On the right fore arm is a painting of lizard scales in green crawling up to the hand of the RT-1.

Psychological Analysis:

Usually Fusco is calm and collected for the most part, she quickly becomes serious as the situation changes to a more dangerous one. she is known to joke around with her team mates often, as it's hope she copes with the stress on the battle field. Outside of combat she tends to keep to herself and can be quiet at times, she is caring about the troops she serves with and has been seen as a mentor to the lower ranks in her squad in the past. While appearing casual on the outside Fusco can sometimes be too harsh with others about their actions and behaviours in the unit and she has been reprimanded a few times for stepping her bounds.

Service Record:

Private First Class Alex Fusco deployed in Lebanon at age Twenty in the 264th Marine Infantry Division. She was a infantry woman and was assigned to 1st Battalion, Bravo Company. She deployed with the 264th on a peace keeping mission to help stabilise the country as rebels aimed to over throw the republic's government. Stationed in the capital of Beirut the 264th quickly saw action as the capital came under siege of the strong rebel forces, the 264th dug in as the long brutal siege began against the Government and U.S. Forces.

The fighting took place in brutal close quarters combat, Bravo Company was sent to clear rebel forces in the middle of the capital while Alpha and Charlie provided support and clean up. This Operation - known as Operation Clean Sweep took several months as the guerrilla fighters had quickly seized and fortified parts of the city when they arrived. Through intense fighting, Fusco distinguished herself as a leader and capable soldier. When squad Sergeant Morowitz had his leg blown off by high calibre fire Fusco rushed out to grab the Sergeant to pull him to cover. With the squad medic tending to the Sergeant, Fusco led the rest of the squad to taking a nearby insurgent outpost after taking charge of the squad. Sergeant Morowitz survived the encounter and the squad was commended for taking the nearby insurgent outpost.

Commended for her actions during the Operation, Alex Fusco was promoted to the rank of Lance Corporal. The siege ended nine months later with the rebels routing from Beirut, with the rebels on the run the Marines followed as they continued to beat them back to the border of Syria. Nothing else was notable from her deployment as Fusco took part in operations to keep the insurgency down. At the end of her four years she was offered to re-enlist as a RIC Operator, which she took. She then was sent to train as a RIC operator before joining the 1st RIC, where she resides today.

gender

Female

ethnicity / nationality

Native of Eastern Europe, Citizen of the United States of America

rank

Corporal

role

Automatic Riflemen

physical description

One can immediately begin to decipher the meaning of her nickname upon seeing Varrina Braelynn in person. At 5'6 and approximately 140 lbs, her physicality can oft incite the term "compact" as compared to her fellow comrades. Slender limbs and defined tone shape and line the contour of her silhouette though her feminine assets remain proportional and even somewhat subdued. Cream complexion falls in line with the Eastern European traits she was born with alongside naturally arched eyebrows and unnaturally smoky eyes that radiate a faint, dark brown underneath the black liner. Long, brown hair crowns her head and falls just past her shoulders when loosed though the beast of strands is usually held captive in a neat bun or short ponytail.

The RI-1 harnessed by the corporal bears many marks denoting many different owners and operators, but Varrina deigns to claim only one patch of space on the right pectoral of the advanced suit. An image of of a laughing skull and two crossed jackknives beneath put a unique spin on the typical skull and crossbones insignia and alerts any other operator right then and there that Jack-Knife is also an operator of this particular tactical armor. Seemingly to match her shared shell, Varrina herself bears the same marking on her right shoulder and it is the sole tattoo she bears on her person.

psychological analysis

With a rigid gaze forged from military discipline and dutiful dedication, most assume Varrina to be that of the serious and cold nature, but in fact, the corporal is simply a measure of calm and composed, opting to reign in unnecessary energetic outbursts in favor of a more relaxed and laid back persona. Easy-going would be an apt description and this kind of subdued nature affords the woman social opportunity and coveted approachability. Within a group surrounding, she is often one of the members with a more rational and level-headed perspective on things while consistently maintaining this same composure even during tense and heated situations. It was this admirable mental constitution and composition that helped in securing her place within the Remote Infantry Corps and it is this favorable disposition that allows her to engage in conversation with just about anyone she comes across.

service record

Jack-Knife was not a name earned through reputable and honorable service, rather it was a moniker burned onto the identity of Varrina Braelynn during her stay in federal prison. At the ripe age of eighteen, Varrina was as successful as a child of any district attorney could hope to be. She graduated high school with a 4.0 GPA and academic scholarship offers to many of North Carolina's best and brightest universities. Her time spent in Student Government opened doors to external organizations that would set her up with work to gain experience during her college years and a guaranteed job upon acquisition of a Bachelors Degree. She was well liked in her class and was generally known as the "chill" girl that somehow seemed to always know the correct answer to the question. As is their course however, one mistake ruined the entirety of the grand future laid out for the respected Braelynn family member--almost.

As vices go, there were worse things to gain an addiction too. Unbeknownst to her proud and single mother, Varrina had developed a marijuana and alcohol addiction in her early teens that spanned her high school years. Though she appeared successful on the surface, the duality of her hidden life and prim and proper tapestry laid on top proved too much for the girl to handle. Her then boyfriend had allowed her to peddle small amounts of drugs for him on occasion and it was one of these trips that spelled her downfall. She was set to deliver a backpack of marijuana, the biggest she'd ever taken at once, to a friend for her boyfriend. The first problem was that the "friend" turned out to be an undercover police officer. The second problem was that her bag of simple weed suddenly became a large amount of heroin and nondescript pills. Varrina was arrested on the spot and, as if to teach her a lesson, her mother allowed her own daughter to be prosecuted and convicted. She was sentenced to five years in federal prison in spite of this being her first offense.

During her prison tenure, Varrina was exposed to a dramatically different way of life. She experienced the fear of going to sleep every night and waking up every day. She experienced the distrust of every person she came into contact with as she tried to live quietly and under the radar. She experienced the pain of the beatings she had to take in order to stay under said radar from time to time. Then, she accidentally stumbled into a reluctant alliance when her regular attackers took the girl under their wing, admiring her resilience to their beatings and her general silence when it came to the infirmary and guards asking what happened. She was taught to fight, prison-style, taught who to watch out for, who to befriend, and who to screw over, and, most importantly, she was taught how to survive.

Unfortunately, learning these skills added new time to her sentence. In light of her previous record of academic excellence--and at the behest of her powerful mother--Varrina was given a choice; she could spend more time in prison or join the military. She chose the latter. She joined the US Army and it was the start of her military career that finally brought an end to the addictions and a beginning to her new, as of yet unknown future. She was placed in the infantry division and she learned to love the thrill of combat. It was never the act of fighting that excited the woman, rather the calculation involved in deciding what risks to take, what doors to breach, and the adrenaline rush that accompanied being deployed to a hot zone.

After serving for five years, now aged 28, Varrina was recommended to enlist with the US Marine Corps and join the RIC as a pilot. Though she knew she would not be serving physically, the prospect of being part of a unit composed of something so advanced excited her more than anything she'd done before.
