Awesome. While I don't intend for him to be a villain, I won't lie: it's a possibility. Hopefully he'll have good friends to keep him on the right path.

Edit: Also sorry if this will be massively inconvenient, but I may have difficulty posting for the next two days. I'll be flying out of state with only my cellphone to access the site, so I'll have a bit of a tough time writing out big posts.

Costume:
Ren uses her quirk as her costume with a puffy green half jacket and her shoes.
Name:
Renalyssa Reyes
Gender:
Female
Age:
16
Height:
5'7"
Weight:
132lbs

Personality:
There's a lot to say about Renalyssa, but at the very least you'll find out she's upright and respectful. Of course she's also sharing, idealistic and caring, but these are in a way balance by being crass as well.
Her upright nature though, this is what she's most well-liked for. Oftentimes people will count on this and her determination whenever they need cheering up.
Nobody's perfect of course and Ren has plenty of less favorable characteristics too. Her carelessness and narcissistic nature don't make for the greatest company and reach all around.
Fortunately her respect is usually there to help mends things when needed.

Background:
Renalyssa grew up living with her uncle as her parents both died in natural disaster when she was young. Leaving her with a small inheritance.
Her uncle was a retired pro hero who was resting on his laurels and earning a little money from his old merchandise selling. However at home he was abusive and squandered Ren's inheritance from her parents on alchohal. For Ren her only escape from him was school, often spending as much time as she could there with here friends and trying to avoid coming home.
She grew up with the ambition to not be like her uncle and become a hero to show him that she could become more famous than he was.
Komei Academy is her solution for that. Her opening to become a pro, she does not want to be a side kick for some other hero but become one of her own and gain fame.

Quirk:
Ribbon
Transformer Type
From Ren's back she can sprout 12 thin ribbon like appendages that are prehensile and she can control. Each one can reach a max length of 30 feet and are as strong as steel.
Ren is able to weave them around her body into an armor to protect herself and can use the ends of her ribbons to grab or slice things by unraveling one or two of them and sacrificing some of her defense.
Her ribbons should they be severed or damaged to a point were it cannot function will retract back into her to heal over time, the process can take up to 24 hours depending on how damaged it was.

@Jinxlynx Since she's not permanently disfigured somehow by her quirk, wouldn't this could as transformative rather than mutant? o3o Or even Emission?

Since I was unsure of how it would be classified I like your suggestion and will see which one of those two will fit it best. :)

I was comparing it to the Tape quirk Hanta Sero uses initially.

Appearance:

Costume: Ezra doesn't like the idea of a costume in itself, so he hasn't come up with any ideas yet. He feels as if he hides behind a mask or a persona, then he is not a true hero, as he is not helping people on a face to face basis. Plus, he isn't a very creative person in regards to clothing.

Name: Ezra Jasekade

Gender: Male

Age: 15

Height: 6'5(Same Height as Endeavour)

Weight: 210 lbs

Personality:

Ezra's personality mostly stems from where he was brought up, which was poor rough areas of Kyushu. For him, his life has been dog eat dog for nearly his entire existence, so his mentality regarding competitors is fairly set in stone. Ezra also maintains an air of paranoia that exists even with his friends due to the many events that occurred during his upbringing. He finds himself hiding precious belongings and valuables in his room in extremely secretive places. He also speaks with a lot of slang on his tongue due to the environment that he was raised.

Ezra is an interesting figure in the sense that he is completely contrarian to everything somebody would expect to be a hero to be. He is not kind or forgiving. He does not possess villainous traits, but it is questionable why Ezra even became a hero to begin with if one was to exclusively look at these features. Rather, he is somebody who enjoys competition, constantly striving and searching for new opponents to be able to defeat, whether mentally or physically.

Despite all these things, Ezra cannot be considered a bad person. He is hyper competitive and does not perform or wish to become a hero for good, he looks to obtain it for the thrill and the influence that being a hero commands. He hopes that with the influence he commands, he can make his parents live happy even if he is mostly doing it for the fun. This is another faucet of who Ezra is. Whenever he is indebted to someone in his eyes, he pays it back twofold, and he never forgets if somebody has done something for him. In other words, if you help him out, he will be with you until he sees that debt repaid.

Another reason for that is because of the code of honour that Ezra maintains. He views himself as a gold standard, something that should be respected and respectable. If he feels as if somebody has insulted him or his name, he has no hesitation to confront or fight them about it. The reason why he takes debts so seriously is because he views this as part of his credibility, and if he refused to pay a debt, then he is not somebody who should be respected. This applies more than just to debts, Ezra is fiercely protective of anyone he considers a friend, and frankly would fight anybody that attempted to hurt or bully them if he was to observe it happening.

Beside his paranoia, Ezra is not anti-social. He continuously engages in conversation with his classmates, and can be found to be incredibly polite in his own way when treated with the same respect that he desires. He is always up for a joke, a roasting session or some friendly banter shared within his group. He finds nearly anything funny, and doesn't mind it happening to himself either, as long as it is done by people within his friendship circle.

All in all, Ezra is a misunderstood person by most. Although he does not possess heroic characteristics, he is still a kind person that wishes for nothing more than to have fun and to make it big so that his family can live well.

Background:

Ezra was born in Kyushu to parents that were not in the best economic situation. He lived in an apartment, and was the only child of his family due to the disparate economic situation making it difficult for his family to live with what they had, so they doubted whether they could afford bringing up another child. As a result of this, Ezra found himself lonely most of the nights of his childhood, looking for things to do inside his house. His parents wouldn't let him outside until he went to school due to fears of gangs or horrors happening to the child that were fairly realistic.

Ezra's childhood didn't progress like this however when his parents saw his incredible growth. He stood at least a head taller than most other kids at his age, which was unusual given that both his parents were not exceptionally tall by any means. His dad barely scraped the board at 6'0, and his mother was around 5'3, making his height somewhat weird. They figured that he'd be able to hold his own out on the streets and figure out if a situation was dangerous enough for him to go back out and go home.

Ezra discovered his quirk around the same age that most other young children discovered it, but didn't really know enough about it to discover how it worked. He couldn't really be bothered to understand at that age of his life either, as trying to live in the environment that he grew up in often drained the physical and mental energy that he had. He often found himself fighting other kids who thought they could get popularity from beating up somebody that big, and much to their dismay they tended to be put down.

Ezra was never a nice person when he was in school. He was incredibly sceptical of anyone in case they wanted to try and fight him in order to gain credibility, but he wasn't necessarily a bully when he could well have been. This lead to him only having a few real friends but developing the bonds that he shared with them immensely. He found himself disliking the company of those who he didn't consider to be his friends, and saw those people as just trying to exploit his strength.

Outside of school, Ezra spend his time doing two of things, the first being hustling. He found a way to make his own money so that he could afford the things he wanted, and he did this through sales and intimidation. Whilst he never dealt drugs, he did sell almost illegal goods that would have definitely been called into question had his parents or the police found out about them. He found any way he could to make money, whether it was taking out peoples trash, delivering newspapers or cleaning cars.

He found solace in the game of basketball from his economic background. He ended up spending most of his days going to his school gym merely to play, as it gave him the release he needed to take his stress and anger out, and as he had the right physique for it, everything just clicked into play. It was a great stress reliever for the child who didn't know what he wanted to do. He had liked other sports previously, but it seemed to click with everything that he believed in. Whilst it was a team game, unlike football you were not dependant completely on your team yet the aspect of teamwork remained a prominent aspect. Ezra did not like having to be completely reliant on another human being after living life just fine by himself, whether it was just for a game or a major event.

It was around this time where he began to believe being a hero was the best option for him. Complete independence, where he was reliant on himself and only himself, yet could still protect his friends and those he he respected sounded like a dream come true, even if he didn't necessarily believe in the morals or principles that it contained. Although he was never an exceptionally gifted academic due to the quality of the schools in the area, he still worked hard enough to get just enough grades to pass the entrance exam. His physical ability was apparent, his mental state was stable, and the only thing holding him back was his mentality. He ended up training his quirk as well, gaining great skill with it whereas he had neglected it prior.

He was scared of the change of pace, but ultimately welcomed a taste of the hero life at his new school.

Quirk - Secret ;D

Talents:

Ezra has been fighting on the streets for as long as he remembers, and as a result, he is very adept at street fights and urban duels, due to his experience in this field. He isn't skilled in a particular martial art but he's fairly confident he could beat the vast majority of people in a fist fight

Ezra is an exceptional basketball player, since he's been at it since he was young. The fact that he towers over most other people his age in terms of muscle mass and height helps on top of that. He is incredibly athletic because of this.

Ezra has an incredibly good memory. it isn't eidetic/photographic but he can remember basically any detail that holds any level of significance to him.

@pkkenWill the players all be in the same school year, or will they be separated out by their ages? I know Japanese high schools have "three years" as opposed to the way Western (or American anyway) usually do it but I'm not sure if that means they have 1 less year of secondary education or if it means their last grades/years are equivalent to Sophomore, Junior, and Senior and what would normally be the Freshman is instead the last part of junior high/middle school.

Gotta say, it's incredibly frustrating seeing so many "Unknown Quirks."

The ultimate appeal of My Hero Academy is that each of the characters has their quirk written all over them, laid bare from the beginning. Y'know?

You gotta have that open, being a mystery really makes it frustrating because now everyone has to look at you and go "Uhhhh."

Eh. Gives the mystery folks an opportunity to use their quirks without others making preconceived notions they should abide by. Cide, unless you got an obvious mutation quirk, you couldn't tell most quirks from a glance anyways.

I was actually debating making Donny's quirk mysterious so the reveal that he's actually a blob monster is more impactful, but now I just kinda have to rely on dramatic irony when his meat suit is inevitably compromised.

@ZerothAll in the same year to keep it simple, too much of a hassle to invlovle different classes. Besides with all the characters we have, this will make a class of 20 just like Class-1A.
