Hello everyone, this is an interest check for an original story in the Dragon age universe that occurs roughly around 30 years prior to the events of Dragon Age origins, and for the most part will be set in the Deep roads, however there will be occasions when the party surfaces in throughout the various lands in Thedas to restock, wind down and do various quests and such.
The party will start in Orzammar, during King Endrin's reign and the party is there on his behalf, everyone will have been personally invited to go to Orzammar by courier, with any expense made getting there paid for, even if they ultimately turn the offer down.
It’s not very often one gets a correspondence from the Dwarven king so it’s fair to say its an exceptionally rare opportunity to make considerable gains in fortune.
The only thing you are privy to is that you and whoever accepts to go will be heading into the deep roads with an “elite Dwarven unit, specialised in dealing with the denizens found in these treacherous depths.” For what reason, is something yet to be divulged to the group, but it is clearly a high risk, high reward scenario.
This is the general premise for the roleplay, obviously if interest is there, the OOC will clear more things up.
For those unfamiliar with the events of dragon age, or the intricacies, that too will be covered in the OOC, so don’t worry if you’re not familiar with the universe, barring a bit of homework and research you should be comfortable in this roleplay.
Overall I’m looking for around 10 people, although I will accept more if I feel it necessary, this is a High-Casual roleplay, I will be looking at your Character sheets as a general testament to your writing capability, if your CS doesn’t meet the par, then by default neither will your Roleplaying skills and you won’t be accepted.
High casual is a writing standard just below advanced, your grasp of the English language must be competent and time and effort must go into your work, I don’t need to say this to many of you, but there are always those who need reminding of this.
Roughly a paragraph per post is the minimum that you must reach in this roleplay.
Knowledge of how the universe works is preferred but not necessary.
If you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask, and the OOC should be up within a week if this accumulates enough interest.
