THE LEGENDS OF TAMRIEL I: SKYRIM

Tales sung by bards and told by parents to children are usually the most memorable. Legends and folklore are usually kept in books or chronicled in the Imperial Library, but sometimes… They are lost in the rivers of time or kept hidden from the rest of the world. What could it be? To spite the other races? To keep an unknown power from being unlocked from the rest of the world? Or just to have it buried in time and have it be forgotten about. Fortunately, we have uncovered something amazing; a group of forgotten legends that have had a multitude of adventures across the continent of Tamriel, which was then torn apart by conflicts and betrayal. Today, we shall recount their tales…. These are the forgotten legends of Tamriel.

Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the Legends of Tamriel! A roleplay centered around the ever-so popular Elder Scrolls series, featuring your lovely neighborhood bear host, Kuma and his co-GM with the most, Zelosse! This tale will be around a group of misfits/a collection of forgotten heroes that have saved the world a multitude of times from the forces of evil, may it be a prophecy or may it be a traitor in the midst! This chapter will be taking place in the snowy, hardened province of Skyrim, where there’s a civil war, a dragon crisis and a multitude of other things bringing the country onto his knees. Who else to save it but the group?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To summarize, the first chapter of this wonderful adventure is like an Uber-modded TESV:S playthrough with it's expansions. More options will be available to you than the base game, which will be revealed in time. It will start how every 3D Elder Scrolls game starts, you’re in jail, no septims to your name. Even worse is that you’re sent to be executed, whether it’s doing something taboo, a plan gone awry that gets you arrested or maybe you were at the wrong place at the wrong time. Follow the character template below and create your character.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

CHARACTER TEMPLATE:

Name: Your character’s name. Make sure to consider the character’s backstory and/or the lore of your character’s race before considering your name (i.e. Brand-Shei is a Dark Elf but was raised by Argonians, which explains his name.)

Aliases: An optional one, moreso for the thief/assassin characters that want to disguise themselves from the authorities and such. It could also be a title for someone, like an infamous bandit leader or the like.

Race: not to be racist, but argonians-- //wheezing Basically, the nine playable races of Tamriel in the Elder Scrolls games (Altmer, Bosmer, Orsimer, Dunmer, Nord, Imperial, Breton, Redguard, Argonian and Khajiit). There may be some variations to the races, but try and keep it to these. I don't wanna see the last living member of the Akaviri roaming around and just randomly getting arrested and sent to execution like it's nothing. That's L O R E B R E A K I N G... and R A C I S T.

Appearance: Your character’s appearance. As with the name, make sure you consider the character’s race and backstory into account. Also, overly special snowflakes won’t be impressive, but creativity with their appearance earns you brownie points. Oh, and don't include armor yet. The type of light/heavy armor or robes you wear will grow as your character proceeds through the story. Weapons that are especially important to individual characters will be found in a prisoner's belonging chest.

Personality: Basically the “Ainsley’s jerk chicken” of this template. My advice? Go into detail about their viewpoints on religion (as that is an important aspect), their views on Tamriel, Nirn, other races, et cetera. Have a Nord have a deep-seated hatred towards Altmer or an Altmer that supports Talos worship, just have fun with it. Don’t let them be stuck inside too many stereotypes, but have them be their own person. Include speech patterns and such as well (i.e. Khajiit from Cyrodiil use regular men vernacular, but do sometimes use sentences like “Khajiit guards your back”).

Backstory: The tricky part. Interpret anyway of how your character’s history goes. If their story is apart of a plot that you have, then give a slight hint. It makes it all the more interesting. Include how they ended up getting arrested. It could either be in Skyrim or outside of the border.

Primary Skills: Your chief skills that shall improve as the story progresses. Your character has been doing these specific activities and have mastered them to an extent though teaching, but there's always more room to learn. These would be the skills that would be 75. Limit these to two to three skills and consider your racial bonuses with certain primary skills. Do you want your Khajiit to sneak? Do you want your Altmer to be a magical genius? You want your Nord to put arrows inside of knees sorrynotsorry? (Note: A certain exception can be made; making only one skill primary and be maxed out at the cost of the effectiveness in other areas of expertise be significantly taxing on them.)

Secondary Skills: The skills that the character isn't really the best at, but then again they aren't too bad at it. These are the skills that would be level 50. Remember this; these skills are secondary, you can’t be level 50 Smithing and forge steel like Eorlund Gray-Mane. Man’s steel is legendary, bro. Limit these to three to five skills.

Tertiary Skills: Those skills that your character picked up for like a couple of weeks and said “... eh, maybe later” or the skills that would be 45 or below. Your weakest skills aka your limiters. Limit these to four to six skills.

Factoids/Miscellaneous Information: The info left out. Birthdays, hobbies, favorite types of mead, reading material (u lyk lustee argonuhn mayd??), et cetera. Have fun with that.

Fen Dunywyr

Aliases: Formerly known as, "The king of copper coins".

Race: Breton

Personality:
Fen has always been an eager and eccentric learner as well as a plotter. His goal of attaining power has driven him to allign himself with anything that will further his goals without compromising his social standing as a minor nobility among the peoples of High Rock, before he began to travel about Tamriel in search of knowledge.

Backstory:
A wandering nobleman with a heart of black ice. From a distance you see only the cruelty oozing from Fen like fog, blinding you to the truth. This was a man who rightly served the people and delivered justice to defilers of order. Bandit camps have been reduced to smoldering ashes under the weight of his authority, his conviction to learning the magical arts, and was rightly given a proper place in the heirarchy of his homeland.
But it wasn't enough. It never is. When you desire power the lines of right and wrong become skewed by your rationality.
His rise to power was done without suspicion, giving him power and authority over a large city. Their resources became his and were used to establish connections across the globe to reel in books and mentors of the magical arts to train him any way they could. Unending knowledge consumed him day and night. Slacking on his oath to protect the citizens under his dominion they were quick to out their 'copper king' to greater powers..

With known ties to the Thieves guild along with accusations of contracting killers from even places such as the Dark Brotherhood, Fen was sentenced to execution for high treason and conspiracy. It was only thanks to a fellow nobleman and former tutor that the copper king was not hung but instead sentenced to exile, his name tied to the blacklist. Should he commit any act of felony again and be caught he would face the same fate he had narrowly avoided.
The price of his exile came in the form of a copper bracelet branded to his arm, etched with delicate runes. A known wizard of great power the authorities knew could not be trusted any longer, they severed his ability to wield his formidable magic. The copper band weakens his available pool of magic drastically and stifles its natural regeneration. While he can still cast powerful magic it is only done with great caution or dire need.

That leads us to the frigid realm of Skyrim where Fen was captured. A decently funny story to tell, he was caught literally pants down with a captain of the guard of a lone fort shortly before a group of overly brave marauders had attempted to raid said fortress.
It would not have been so bad a punishment had he not managed to seduce one of the few watchers patrolling the ramparts into their lovemaking.
So, with only his undergarments on, Fen has exposed himself to danger for the greater good and aided in rebuking the raiders. His magic expended, and nearly freezing to death in the process, he was arrested. High ranking authorities identified him as the blacklisted mage and charged him with orchestrating the whole attack AND the 'staged withdrawal' of the so-called brigands.
Once again he was arrested and sentenced to death.

Primary Skills:
Destruction - 100, Conjuration 75

Secondary Skills:
Illusion - 50, Alteration - 50, Restoration - 50, Enchanting - 50, Alchemy - 50

Tertiary Skills:
Light weaponry - 30, Archery - 20, Cooking

Factoids/Miscellaneous Information:
- Distaste for alcohol
- Enjoys 'adult books'
- Doesn't care for religious talk
- Enjoys making wood carvings
- Frequently inquires about having his copper band removed
- Easily irritated by his own sudden powerlessness
- Terrible flirt
- Bloated Ego, easily annoyed
- Primarily uses a bound dagger

@Samdragonx Well, only concern is that you shouldn't put down one-handed or two-handed. It's either light weaponry (swords, maces, wakazashis, war axes, hand-to-hand) or heavy weaponry. Dexterity replaces lockpicking and pickpocket. Wayfarer allows you to interact with you environment better and fight creatures whose lore you know about better. Archery is ranged weaponry now. And that's it. Otherwise, have fun.
