I've been trying to balance realism and the "magic" of their existence. They don't necessarily follow natural law but much about them can be understood. The rest doesn't fit into our reality.

Basically a good mix imho is
-All stories have a grain of truth
-Not everything is as it seems
-how did the natural laws come to create this being

It's hard. Especially when dealing with the Fae.
