Isaac

Isaac shuffled in to homeroom with his hand tightly around his bag. He spotted a girl with a necklace that just seemed to glow and his fingers itched. That would have to be his next target. It was a pretty pendent on a nice silver chain. He took his seat, it was always in the middle of the room, close enough to the back to blend in but far enough forward to not be labelled a slacker. His eyes slide to the girl again and he messed with his pencil, coming up with a plan on how to get it from her.

His eyes jumped to the front when he noticed the professor was watching him, putting his pencil down and folding his hands over each other. He could be the picture of innocence if he really tried, but for some reason he doubted that Payton really thought that. For some reason, he could barely get away with looking at someone's bag without being caught.

Payton

Payton had been in his office waiting from the morning. The first day of the semester was always the hardest. The students were switching dorms, starting new classes, and seemed to act out more in the beginning. He let out a sigh and tried to greet each of the students as they came in. "Good morning, Mr. Martin, Mr. Jefferies, Ms. Dawnson." He stood by the door and nodded as they moved in to the class, watching where each student took a seat. It wasn't the first he had any of these students, but they would be settling in to the new class.

They switched up who was in each class at the change of semester, so while most of them should have been used to working together, there was the chance that they wouldn't know each other well. "Morning, Ms. Bennington, Ms. Michaels, Mr. Hunter." Once all of the students had settled in their seats he turned to the board and began writing up the rules of the school. "I'm sure you've all heard this before, but we have to go over it one more time. You're not allowed to leave campus, you can't smuggle anything in, drugs and stealing are not tolerated." He went through the rules that were common for the first day before letting the students just settle in and relax. It was the first day so he may as well let them have time to chat before school really started up. Talking during class wasn't tolerated.

Micah

Micah, clad in his supremely uncomfortable "uniform", sat in the back with his feet propped up on an empty desk in front of him. He thought about saying something along the lines of 'Yeah, yeah we get the spiel. So what are you gonna teach us, Insert-Clever-Insult here?' For once in his life, he wisely decided to hold off, though his reasoning was not as wise. Best to behave on the first day so it might open up more opportunities later. He blew his stringy bangs out of his face. Why the hell didn't he get a haircut before coming to this place? Nothing like being shaggy when you planned your future rule-bending.

God, this was turning into one giant Breakfast Club meme. He made sure the pack of Trident spearmint gum he'd snuck in was secured snugly in his left Air Jordan 11. Good thing I don't know what Barry Manilow looks like, he thought smugly, unable to wipe the smirk off his face as he folded his arms and proceeded to stare down their "teacher". Staaang, Ryan Reynolds would be proud of those cheekbones! Micah wondered how much this guy was getting paid or if he was some celebrity volunteer. "Beautiful people" like that almost always had a story to explain why they were down with the mortals. Not that Micah was bad looking, but he wouldn't classify anybody else in the room as being classic Hollywood runway material either.

Kieren

Kieren slumped into his chair, sitting deliberately close to the door and the wall. He could feel his ears burning with irritation as he rubbed at his tired eyes. He had been up all night moving his possessions into his new dorm room and he really wasn't in the mood to socialize and do school work so early in the morning.

He looked across at the rules Payton had drawn up across the board and rolled his eyes. Of course he was going to break them - he wasn't going to be kept inside like some kind of prisoner! He sighed and turned his attention to the others in the room. Somewhere amongst them was his new roommate. He had seen them, he just hadn't committed their face or name to memory yet. Part of him hoped that he wouldn't need to.

VIA

Via rolled her eyes as she entered the class room. She took a seat near the window in the back and sat down in her seat crossing her legs. She was wearing fishnets and black high heels. She wasn't one for uniforms, then again she wasn't one for conforming either. She had been at Redwood for about 8 months now and she hated it. She missed her partying. Via just sat there messing with her black manicured nails until she realized that the teacher was talking. He wasn't bad looking in the slightest.

Via looked at the rules on the board. She slightly giggled to herself. Rules were dumb to her and she thought rules are meant to be broken. She would leave the damn campus if she wanted to. She really didn't care about anyone or anything. Her attention was drawn away to the rest of the students in the class room. I wonder if there is anyone who wants a piece of this V She thought and smiled to herself.

Gray

Gray walked into the classroom quietly. She had only been in this prison for a few months and they were already making her change rooms. So, she barely got any sleep last night as she had to move all her junk to her new room. She sat down in a seat next to a window for the view and easy escape.
She scoffed at she rules she noticed on the board. Yeah right like she'd follow any of them. Leaving, that'd happen soon enough. Smuggling, most of the kids here had probably already done it, herself included. And stealing? Sounds fun.

Lacey walked into the classroom, taking a quick glance at the other students before she sat down in her usual spot: the chair opposite the door on the front row. She wasn't quite sure why she liked it; maybe it was to avoid all the miserable souls who sat between her and whatever teacher happened to be giving the class. Aside from having virtually no freedom to go out except once in a while, the place wasn't anywhere near as bad as jail, so their forced rebellious attitude annoyed her more than anything.

After putting her stuff down, Lacey sat down on the chair and made herself comfortable before she turned around to address Vianna who was only a few spots directly behind her.

"Hey, roomie, I bet you're thrilled to be here," she said, motioning towards Payton with just the slightest movement. Lacey didn't know Vianna too well, but she'd seen her around campus before and from what Lacey could tell, Vianna was the flirty type. Lacey then smirked and turned around, wondering whether her minor teasing was enough to make Vianna hate her.

Griffin glared at the officers that were escorting him to his new school. He imagined trying to escape them. But the thought of going to school, one not influenced by his father's power was too tempting. He doubted he would pass any of the classes. But he was curious to see what he could do on his own. It wasn't likely the school would 'reform' him but it would nice to be free of his father's control for awhile.

The guards guided him to the office where he was given a schedule and a dorm room. He hoped they provided clothing and Shi because he had been sent with nothing but the clothes on his back. He was curious about the others who attended the school. How many of them wanted to be 'reformed'? How many were just counting the hours until they were free Once again? He supposed he would find out soon enough.

Pat

Patrick sat in the back of the car, folding his arms. He looked around and out the window, the car was rumbling a bit. He looked at his dirty and dusted converse, then looked back and around. "Vandalism, 2 counts of it, and robbery. Patrick I can't believe how much you've done. I thought I rais-" "Yeah and I can't believe how many mortgages you payed for the new boyfriend." The new husband looked over, "Now Pat, behave." "Or what!? You're just a stranger." The mom groans and the dad turns back to the window. Pat leans back into his seat, folding his arms. "Now, Patrick, we're going to be on our honeymoon. You best be safe and not cause trouble here." "Yeah, sure, mom."

The car parked and Patrick got up, a prefect escorted him to the headmaster's office. Patrick looked around the old neo-gothic building, he muttered to himself. "Jesus, this looks like a shithole." He already saw in the distance a kid getting bullied. The prefect said to Pat, "go to the headmaster's office from up here. It's up stairs." "Yeah, sure." Pat jogged to the headmasters, going up to the doors at the front of the school. He opened up the doors and walked upstairs, looking at the trophies lining the wall. He walked into the office, having the secretary greet him. "Oh, you're that Pat boy. I've heard to much about you. Now, with me. We'll see the headmaster." "Yeah, sure." The secretary whispered to herself, "god the headmaster is such a lovely man." Pat muttered to himself under his breath, "Freak." Finally, they entered the headmaster's office. The Headmaster got up from his chair. "Ah, Wiggin boy! Patrick, Wiggins, am I correct?" "Yeah, that's me." "AH! It is not, 'yeah, sir it's me.' It's 'yes sir, that is me.' god, have some manners." Pat noticed the headmaster had poor memory from what he said, as he said 'yeah sir that's me' and not 'yeah sir it's me'. Not something to bother Pat though, the headmaster gave Pat a brief tour of the classrooms, his dormitory, et cetera.

VIA

Via just smiled at her roommate's teasing. She leaned forward just a bit "At least I have something handsome to look at during this boring class" She said and sat back playing with her nails again. Lacey was going to have to try harder then minor teasing to get her to hate her. Lacey didn't exactly say a lie but it wasn't the whole truth either. Via was not happy that she was in this school or in this class room but she was happy the teacher was a thing to look at. She scanned the room. When her eyes fell on Issac. She had seen him around the campus before, didn't really know anything about him though except he kept eyeing people's things. She smiled as a thought came to her head.

Via picked up her things and went over and sat in an empty chair in front of Issac. She pulled out a necklace that she got from her mother and father as a bribe a few years back. She started to swing it back and forth in front of her. "Hey Issac" She eyed him out of the corner of her eye "What do you this pretty little cost?". Via tilted her head at him, she knew she was toying with him.

Victoria

She twirled a few of the freshly curled locks around her fingers, getting the last finishing touches out of the way before she left her room. Victoria had joined Redwood only about 6 months ago- so she was still very much a new face. A black pencil skirt with a slight slit in the back, long-sleeved white button up shirt, black stockings, and black heels with a very short heel. Victoria loathed this look. She'd much rather be in jeans, and a basic crew neck t-shirt, her feet propped on the couch enjoying a beer. There was an upside, she at least enjoyed her job, so it wasn't all that terrible going in. Though a bit of an anxiety ran through her due to being the new teacher.

Her coffee maker dinged, alerting her of the fresh nectar that would make her morning just a little better. She poured some into her aqua tumbler her mother gifted her upon getting the job at Redwood. You'll need it being around those brats she could hear her mothers cackling voice in her head - sweet woman, just had a very sharp tongue. Grabbing her bag with all her curriculum notes, books, and teaching materials, she gave one last look to her current residence and nodded in approval to herself of having everything she needed. Victoria left her room, her heels clacking on the floor as she made her way towards her classroom. Waving at a few familiar student faces, as well as fellow faculty. Her class was 2nd block, so she didn't have to be at her class quiet yet - but she always believed in being early, than late.

Isaac

Isaac glanced over at Via when she moved to sit beside him, eyeing the necklace she kept swinging in front of her. He'd seen Vianna around, of course he had, but they hadn't talked much. "I'm not stupid enough to grab it out of your hand, if that's what you're trying. It could make you some good money though. Are you looking to sell it?" Isaac was honestly more interested in her bag. Stealing things wasn't just about getting money for them, he loved the rush of it and kept most of the things he took. "Maybe you can distract the teacher while I get her necklace instead? 8 could even help you sell this if you hate it." Or he'd just try to break in to her room at a later date. He grinned and looked up towards the front, acting like he wasn't plotting something.

Griffin hunched to make his six foot six frame look smaller. This pulled his leather jacket tight against his lean frame but he didn't mind. He wanted the others to underestimate him. At least until he got the lay of the land. He was confident in his skills. He had grown up in hell. But he didn't know what kind of skills the people here had. He studied the people he passed as he made his way his first class. Glancing at the schedule had been given he learned that it wasn't a class. Homeroom was a pointless way to start the day he thought. But whatever at least he wouldn't have to pretend to know shit yet.

He paused in the doorway of the classroom his green eyes scanned the room. None of the teens he saw registered as an immediate threat. A couple of them peaked his curiosity. But he made no attempt to speak to anyone for now he was just going to watch. His long leather covered legs covered the space between door and the back of the room where quickly. He planned to hide in the shadows as long as he was able to.

REMIRA LANKFROD

It was the first day of class in the new semester. Remy was slowly walking down the halls, her school bag lazily over her shoulder. Officially the class had already started, but she didn't care. It was just gonna be a new day like any other. The teacher in class was just Mr Carlson. No one important. No one that peaked her interest in the slightest. Remy kicked a bin, it made a loud sound in the silent hall.

She reached the classroom that she should be sitting inside and swung the door open with a straight face. She stood in the doorway and looked around the room, in every face, slowly and one by one. She didn't feel any need to hurry to a seat and didn't mind that she might have interrupted the lesson. But she soon realized that she was too early. What a fucked up shit. She was already late and had hoped the boring talk about rules would be over and the actual lesson would have started, but people were chatting, Vianna held up a necklace to a boy. Obviously the lesson was not in full swing yet.

With no care in the world she walked towards a seat, near to Vianna and the boy, picking it seemingly randomly. She had left the door to the classroom open, but it appeared that there were still some students missing anyway. Remy dropped her bag carefree to the ground and leaned back in her chair, waiting for the lesson to begin and hoping that the class would pass by far so she could get out of this classroom.

Pat

Patrick held his suitcases and placed it down in the dorm, looking around. "Well I guess this is home, huh? Wonder who's my roomate. Dorm looks like crap anyways." He walked over to the mattress known as his bed and plopped down on it, kicking his feet up. Putting his hands behind his back, looking around. He tapped his foot and sighed. He checked his semseter scheduele, "well I got this guy uhh, Mr. Carlson." He walked over and started making himself at home, unloading his suitcases. He put his bedsheet and blanket over the bed, then walking over to his bed and fixing it. He put some stuff up lazily, and took his old early 2000s computer, hooking it up to the wall, it being on the desk. He connects it to the wifi.

Micah

Micah watched as several of the students already began chatting away with each other, paying absolutely no heed to that Payton at the head of the room. One girl sitting near the window seemed like she wanted to leap through it. Micah couldn't blame her. It was his first day in this place and his father had said nothing but, "Here you go, son" as he had remotely opened up the passenger door of his modern bright yellow Delorean and made a shooing gesture with his hand. Just when Micah had exited out in front of the school, his dad followed up with: "If you need anything, the school will call. You're nearly a man now, Micah. Act like one."

As with all authority, Micah blew this off with his trademarked "Whatever" and an eye roll. He mimicked the motion now, staring well over this other girl's head out aforementioned window all glassy-eyed and daydreaming. What he wouldn't give for just one more episode of Game of Thrones. Watching dwarven kings and queens bang was far more entertaining than some putz trying to reform them. One look at the room's occupants told Micah that nearly everybody here would win a battle of will with Mister Glossy Professor over there. Putzy himself still hadn't said much since he wrote the rules up on the board which struck Micah as odd. A normal teacher would have hushed his "students" down by now. Micah smirked. "Laid back" huh? Excellent....

Kieren

Kieren's eyes wandered over the students in the room and he watched them interacting. He found himself watching Via and Isaac more closely. Via he knew from a class previously, and she wasn't one to keep herself to herself - she was very well known by a lot of people. Isaac's face was familiar to Kieren and he rubbed his head, trying to recall the flash of a face he had seen leaving his dorm room that morning.

He sighed and looked across to the door. Another girl had walked into the classroom and left the door open. He found himself passing her an irritated glance. The open door just had him itching to run out of it. He looked across at Payton, still sitting in his chair and watching over them. "Oi, professor.. are you going to teach us something or are we paying you to sit on your ass and watch us all day? I thought this was school, not a fucking prison."

A few minutes went by as Lacey daydreamed about noting in particular, her thoughts taking her wherever they desired. She did, however, notice when a guy she hadn't seen around entered the classroom. His eyes were very alluring, and she couldn't help but stare as he made his way to the back of the classroom. Lacey looked over her shoulder for no longer than a couple of seconds before she reached into her backpack and took out a book she'd been reading at her leisure, "Cell" by Stephen King. After homeroom, she would probably go over and introduce herself, but for now, she'd just quietly read until Mr. Carlson otherwise demanded her attention.

Payton

Payton was happy to sit back in his chair and let the kids socialize. However, one showed up late, slamming the door open and making a big commotion. "Excuse me, you need to be here on time and if you are late then you'll need to be quiet when you come in. Let's not forget that this is an alternative to jail, so unless you would like to leave and try that instead, I suggest you show up and follow the rules." He leaned back in his chair, rolling his eyes at the next student to speak up. Honestly, you would think that the students would just be happy to have the break in the morning. "Would you like me to try to cram information in to your head first thing in the morning within thirty minutes? There isn't enough time for me to teach you anything and I thought I was being nice with giving you guys time to just relax before the day really starts."

Payton usually used his homeroom class to prep for the math classes he would be teaching later that day. It worked well in the past, but maybe these kids were actually going to be a problem. "If you guys just keep quiet and study or just relax then we don't have to worry about adding any extra work to your day. Everyone happy with that arraignment?"

Micah

@Echoes

Micah crossed the legs that had been up side-by-side on the empty table in front of him, the first motion he'd made in five minutes having otherwise sat as still as a vampire. "Yo teach," he called from the back, raising an eyebrow. "Cram away. Our bodies are ready. Don't forget to drop the soap! I'm sure the ladies would all appreciate that." He kept his arms folded and didn't let loose so much as a snicker. The sass was flattery and a test. He wondered just how vain Payton was to keep up a physique like that.

REMIRA LANKFORD

The teacher scolded Remy for her late entrance. She didn't care. This teacher offered to send them all to jail every now and now if they wouldn't follow the rules, but truth was that they knew they had a bunch of assholes in their school and they didn't expect them to be goodie goodie people suddenly just because they saved them from jail. She had heard teachers tell her she could go to jail if she didn't treat the rules and teachers with respect the last seven months. Yet she was still here. Though she did hear of very few students being sent off to jail, if they went too far. Drugs in school twice? Not a thing they can ignore. Sending another student to the hospital in a fight? This wasn't even in their hands anymore to decide.

A student (@Mistiel) called out to the teacher to "drop the soap." Remy had noticed that females seemed attracted by the man. But she wasn't. She found him boring and way too.... normal. The boy had said the ladies would all appreciate it. Without turning her face to him, she threw a sentence into the room. "Not all the ladies." Remy wasn't sure if she was the only female feeling not attracted by the teacher or if anyone would silently agree with her on this. She hoped so. It'd be nice if at least one girl saw how ordinary he was. She sat calmly in her chair and wished the time would go by a little faster.
