October finished up her fifth glass of possibly contaminated beaker water by the time Carolina gasped back to life. Looking down at her with curiosity, she noted the way that Carolina checked her chest, as if examining for a wound. With the gunshots echoing in the distant corridor, October surmised that the body Carolina had inhabited had been killed. Chest wounds weren't as painful as stomach wounds, though she doubted Carolina would have much comfort from that. She had just gotten a man killed, after all.
"Of course. Family first," October nodded. If she hadn't became such fast friends with Carolina, she likely would have cut and run. She didn't pretend to be any sort of hero. October had thought about it before and came to the realization that she wasn't on the side of good or the side of evil. She was something completely separate from that dichotomy.
October rolled her wrist again, before snapping her fingers. A flame sputtered its way into existence, hovering directly above October's index finger. She felt that she still could use some more water to be back at full strength, but this would have to do for now. She wouldn't be able to melt steal or anything, but she'd be able to help Carolina save her sister. The rest would have to be improvised. There'd be no going back after this. S.H.I.E.L.D. would have them in custody with definitive proof of their abilities. They would be tagged with a threat level and if that level was too high, which October feared it would be, she imagined they'd put the two in drug induced comas.
Needless to say, October didn't have a high opinion of the spy agency.
"I'll provide the firepower," October said, doing a bit of nifty wordplay. "And Carolina, get inside the mole's head. See if you can shut him down."
Bonnie Chase
Interacting With: @Nallore Carolina and Cassandra Reed, October Crypt, Agent Ward, Others
Location: the Zephyr (Hallway)
Bonnie bit her lip as her fellow agent went down. She was glad that Cassandra was there to help her, but she felt guilty at the same time. She had tried her best, but perhaps she should've done the best of someone better. There was an agent down and already, Bonnie was beginning to feel responsible. Their bullets were either missing or hitting what must have been kevlar, as Ward didn't seem to have a scratch on him. Hell, the man was more than happy to return fire at them, reloading his clip every few seconds as he ran out of ammo.
"This isn't working," Bonnie whispered to Cassandra, taking momentary cover. "We need a new plan." The best they had been able to do so far was slow him down. And no other agents had responded, which told Bonnie that Ward likely wasn't the only mole on the plane. There must have been others, more fights going on throughout the Zephyr. It was a battle for the plane's soul.
Bonnie cursed as she saw October make her way over, the girl seemingly paying no attention to the field of bullets she was about to enter. She looked over towards Cassandra and Bonnie, before smiling a bit. "My name's October Crypt," October said, before making her hands into fists and rotating them, snapping them out as flat palms in front of her. The very hints of a fiery column appeared and October smiled, pleased with her progress so far. Pushing her fingers forward, a wall of flames grew and October took a few steps forward, leaning out into the hallway and sending a column of fire down towards Ward.
"S.H.I.E.L.D. records list me as dead," October then added. Ward's clothing was fire resistant it seemed but his hair wasn't, as the mole quickly put the fire out. October then sent column after column of fire, hoping to buy Carolina enough time to possess the man and make him drop.
