Hope that works for you. I figured we'd let them settle their thoughts on the matter of this whole bout of shenanigans before forcing them back together. Ha! See? I can be nice sometimes... >.> :P

If it needs any edits, lemme know. Or if Miria has a reaction Curdle ought to be responding to at the end there... I'll be happy to stick it in. :)

No, this is good!!

I got a post, yaaaaas! <3

I don't think I'm going to do too much reflection on their dream conversation. Now I need to think about what's next!

What do you have planned for Curdle's escape? Or will he escape? How many days journey is it from Renna to Sherahd? I ask these things because I'm trying to determine how far to take the story in the next post. Should I get them all the way to Sherahd? Should I give them another few days before the next dream encounter? Do we need to switch focus to Curdle's predicament for the time being? So many possibilities!

Lol, no time for contemplation!

Umm, from Renna to Sherahd it is probably two months' travel, not taking into full account rest stops and towns/cities visited along the way. As the crow flies it might be about two and a half to three weeks, but caravans probably go on more winding routes.

As for Curdle's escape, I think we had thoughts to leave him there for a little bit so we could develop their awareness of each other with a few more dream visits. Whether they have conversations or not is entirely up to them, lol. :P That way, he can know Miria enough to use her as an anchor point for a bit of teleportation later. Before anything too detrimental to his health happens in Renna. heh They can still try figuring out different plans of getting him out on their own, as neither of them know about the teleportation, but I think we ultimately decided that would be the easiest route to go with. Since it doesn't rely on Miria being willing to head all the way back to Renna, or Curdle being brave enough to make suggestions of his own.

But yeah, Sherahd is the far distant goal. I think the next town they're headed to is Hudris, or some such.

Soooo, probably a few days between the next encounter for them, and no need to take them all the way to Sherahd, or for us to focus on Curdle's trouble, though if we want Miria and Curdle to focus on that, we can. I think we had a few ideas somewhere in our timeline.

EDIT:
Which I have just now moved to the 0th post in the character tab. I think you should be able to see and edit it. Though I've currently go it on hidden, so test that theory, aye?

Oooh, the 0th post! So many changes to this site; it's crazy. Yes, I can view and edit it :)

"Lol, no time for contemplation!" Of course there'll be that. I guess I'm just being a little aggressive with the plot? Impatient, perhaps?

Now knowing what I know in terms of Sherahd distance, I'll probably skip ahead either to the next night or the next little town they stop in, hehe, have another little dream meeting.

0th posts seem like a pretty nifty idea. And it gives co-GMs special abilities! Mwahahahahaha! *coughs* Yay for it working properly!

lol Nah, not aggressive, just enthusiastic. Enthusiasm is good! Though it did catch me by surprise with jumping right to Sherahd, but methinks that's probably more of a mapping issue than an enthusiasm problem. :P I'm pretty sure we had ideas somewhere in our chatter on Discord, but I can't remember exacts and I'm too lazy to scroll through all that.

Skipping ahead to either of those works great!

Welp, there's a monster for you. I've read it and reread it so many times that I'm not sure I'd notice anything wrong if I edited it now, so I'm going to hope there isn't anything out of place. But if something really doesn't make sense to you, let me know, because I rearranged pieces and took bits out and added stuff and I may have ruined the coherency while I did that.

I tried to keep the description of what Miria would find in the house to mostly surroundings and a sentence or two for most of the room memories. Hopefully, that works for you. I can give you the list I used, and if you want more description for Miria to react to, feel free to ask for it. :) I also do not mind if you make some stuff up, keeping with the idea that Fiira's life was generally good in the traditional sense, with some tragedy and uncertainty, and later loneliness, but any specific details about each scene are free to be made up. :) I don't even know her husband's name... Because obviously that's less important than figuring out what falcon species live in the desert....*headdesk*

YOU POSTED!!

It was good, I enjoyed it!

Just to sum, to make sure I took it all in correctly: This was a post about what Curdle had been doing while in captivity. If I read correctly, his dream state is new to even him, and I suppose he was in the process of almost going *poof!* at one point?

But he wasn't sure what was happening, and asking around didn't help, so he was left to his bewilderment and the interrogation and his mourning. And now he's in another dream state again, except I think this time he's more aware of what's happening?

And he just witnessed a bunch of flashbacks of Fiira's life. You ended the post at Fiira's last moments, yes?

Yay for enjoyment!

Aaaand, confusion time! lol

Yes. The first half or so of the post is Curdle's time in Renna being held for the supposed murder of Fiira. The only reason he's still alive is because he's technically now her son's, and they can't reach the man to ask how they should handle this. He is conveniently halfway around the world, probably, doing some trading business... Yay for busy, negligent children!

The dream state for Curdle is pretty much astral projection until he's in Miria's head. He's never done it before the start of the story because he's never had the magic strength or a strong enough desire to be away from where he is. So, yes, it is most definitely new to him and he was mostly experimenting and figuring things out for himself half accidentally and half on purpose. I think any parts where it might seem he almost *poofed* were merely horrible surprises for him, though he wasn't in too much danger. Merely falling asleep would bring him back to his body. And he has yet to realize that he can teleport that way, cuz, y'know, that's just not a thing that would ever occur to him. lol

But yessirreebob, much bewilderment, mourning and all of the repetitive questions. heh He didn't get a chance to ask anyone stuff about the magic though, he's not supposed to be talking to people unless he's answering their questions, not the other way around. :P

The end of the post with the house, after he tumbled into Miria again, is them both dreaming together since, yeah, he's more aware of what's happening. I don't think he really understands it yet, but he knows he's dreaming, he just doesn't realize that he's as in control of it as he is.

The bits and pieces of Fiira's life should be somewhat static though and available for Miria to peek at as she wanders the house. Like every room has its own little vignette/play going on depending on what memory Curdle most associates with that room.

So, the post ended, actually after Fiira died, she is very dead on the bed right now, but the memories are still playing out their short stories everywhere else.
