Promethion Component #3 is referred to in official blueprints as “Aerial Offense Unit”, nothing more. A descriptive name in a technical sense, but one lacking in… Flair. Hazel prefers the name she bestowed upon it; Olympus Shrike. The Shrike is sizable, even considering the scale of Promethion’s components, and packing firepower to match. The Shrike is meant, by itself, to strike fast and strike hard. Its speed and maneuverability are incredible, even if it wouldn’t win a dogfight against a more agile craft. It wouldn’t necessarily need to.
The Shrike is a pretty thick aircraft, with a wingspan as wide as it is long when fully deployed. It expands from a tapered point to a bulky rear section fitted with immense thrusters, thrusters hefty enough to send it rocketing along at high speeds. Both wings and nosecone are hardened for use in combat as either a spear or a blade respectively, turning the Shrike into a melee weapon unto itself. Its wings can partially retract for this very reason to allow it to dive and impale a foe upon its nose more easily. Its two most prominent weapons are tucked under its wings, pulled tight to the fuselage; long barreled cannons connected to rotating cylinders near to the main body. Each one fires a beam, either in short, quick bursts or in a prolonged beam. Each space in the cylinder is in essence a battery, providing a well of energy to draw from. When one is expended, the cylinder rotates to the next until all are depleted. These cannons are positioned over Promethion’s shoulders when combined. Banks of missiles are secreted away in its chassis, to give any enemy kaiju a real bad day. The craft is potent enough to carry any allied component, towards the battle or away, provided sufficient grip but does not do so often.
Though its capabilities are unchanged, the Shrike has undergone certain aesthetic modifications at its pilot’s enthusiastic urging. Bronze highlights for the black machine, a fine-tuning of the cockpit for pilot preference (most importantly the addition of a tapedeck), and a painted girl upon either side of the nose strongly resembling an anthropomorphized Beast Machine God.
First draft. Will organize and condense into a format similar to the above later.
Left out most of how it factors into Promethion until everyone else has a clear concept, but it's meant to form lower arms and part of a backpack. Partially so its pilot has a seat somewhere on the torso, and not breaking their neck in the forearm every fight.
Name: Ryoma Kougami: Gender: Male Age: 25 Job: Chief Scientist of the Fortress of Vaucanson Personality: Inquisitive and curious are the two things that Ryoma is characterized for as he does not stop before he can gain an answer to what he is looking for, making him dislike people who aren't honest or keep secrets. Despite how he usually acts Ryoma’s lack of a proper childhood meant that he can usually act in a childish way sometimes, usually when he is with people he trusts. To strangers and particularly seniors Ryoma puts a “mature and serious” persona as most of the adults he met on his childhood paid attention only to the older and more serious students rather than him. This persona has made him maintain his cool in stressful situations, though there are only so many times anyone can bottle out their feelings before they forcibly come out, fortunately, that hasn't happened to Ryoma yet.
As the director of the Vaucanson fortress, he knows that the Promethion is the main force of defense against the monsters that threaten mankind and a such the survival of the robot is more valuable than one of the pilots pragmatically speaking and there may be a time where he may have to make that kind of decision. Still, this kind of thinking has given him more than a few sleepless nights and has made him underestimate the pilots and other staff.
Skills: Ryoma is the foremost expert on Etherion and one of the creators and director of the Promethion project. Able to read and perform basic operations since he was 2 Ryoma is a mathematical and engineering genius, capable of creating engineering marvels such as the Promethion that other people wouldn't have thought it could be done with the help of other intelligent minds. Ryoma was named the chief scientist of the fortress not only because of his role in the Promethion project but also for his ability to keep his cool in difficult times and be capable of handling and overseeing large amounts of people and projects without breaking a sweat. On more action packed abilities tasks such as hand to hand fighting, shooting a gun Ryoma is horribly bad, if not completely hopeless at them, thankfully he has the fortress guards and his pilots for those tasks so he doesn't really care. Another thing to note is his nonexistent sense of direction, that often makes him get lost and wander aimlessly around the fortress if no one is guiding him.
Short Bio: Ryoma made it to national television at the age of 4 as the boy genius who could solve complex differential and integral calculus problems and fluently speak Japanese, English, German and Spanish.Skipping ahead several grades Ryoma attended a prestigious American college at the age of 11 where he would meet Higini Somporn for the first time while he was giving a lecture. Despite their difference in age, both of them quickly became friends and Higini would become a sort of parental figure to Ryoma. After finishing college Ryoma would become one of the youngest persons working for NASA at the age of 19 years old, working with other brilliant minds to finding more efficient ways to reach other planets. Unfortunately, they had to stop looking at the endless sky when the monsters started appearing, funding of space projects was stripped in favor of more military ones since if things continued as they were there would be no humans to colonize the solar system.
Still, the monsters were too strong as easily brushed off most the of attacks, causing lots of casualties and collateral damage before they died, which would occur in time for another of the things to come out and start the cycle anew. Ryoma worked with other scientists united by Higini Somporn to seek a solution and hope seemed lost until something in the aftermath of all the rampages was discovered, Etherion. The Etherion was a strange substance, with many unknown characteristics and properties, but with little info they had about, they knew it was their only tool against the monsters. People around the base started working like crazy, some researching more about the Etherion others starting the planning stages of the components for the Promethion project. Ryoma in the middle of the chaos found himself overseeing and directing the two sides of the project, being able to coordinate the two teams to use their precious time to complete the project as soon as possible.
Now that the Promethion was ready, the only thing left would be to find someone brave and mad enough to pilot its different components. Thought that task was delegated to commander Shourichi, while Ryoma kept his position as chief scientist and oversees the development of new functions for the Promethion along with other less scientific tasks like gaining public trust since he is the face of the MAX FIRE organization along with the pilots.
Oh, sorry, I wasn't really putting any effort into character creation. Was sort of waiting for the OOC. But I can start working on it.
Trying to get all the mech pilots to talk over what their concept of the combiner's going to be like, so I've kept this int check alive until some more solid stuff is hashed out there.
@Crimmy I made an outline and stuff, but I was planning on waiting until you gave an official CS. I'll just follow @Plank Sinatra's and post mine later today or tomorrow.

I swiped the one I used from an old mecha game of Crim's, so you're probably pretty good with using that.
We got drillcars forming legs, a jet forming the backpack and arms, replace the bullet train with a tandem rotor helicopter forming the shoulders, and replace the lion with a tank.
Job: MAX FIRE 1st Independent Special Squadron Pilot
Personality: Michel is effeminate and friendly, seeking harmony between the people around him. He has a tendency to bend over backwards to live up to expectations and will do everything he can and more to make others happy. Because of this, he is often stretched thin and has a tendency to burnout from stress, after which he falls into a self-deprecating slump. He is constantly seeking the approval of others and is easily influenced by his environment.
Skills: Through experimentation, Michel was given the ability to interface with Etherion-powered machines through a specially designed helmet, giving him the ability to telepathically control the ten blades of the two Beamstar Blade rotors that make up his mech's helicopter blades. Michel has good spatial awareness which is a great asset when it comes to piloting a helicopter, and telepathically commanding the Beamstar Blades. Having lived a sheltered life as a lab rat, he has very few life skills to speak of.
Short Bio: A child when his home in France was devastated, Michel was exposed to the Etherion of the monsters that attacked. The organization Max Fire took him in, first to study the potential harmful effects of Etherion on the human body, but later to use his exposure to the substance as a weapon. It became apparent early on that the child had some strange affinity with the new element, and after much research, a special weapons system was designed to take advantage of the child's unique ability. Despite being raised as a child soldier, forced to do constant pilot training and research simulations, the scientists at Max Fire treated Michel with love and care, and taught him to be the compassionate person he is.
I've made like zero progress with my CS, unfortunately. I was waiting 'till the OoC to get started, but if having it up before that gets posted is preferred, then I'll do the thing.
Personality: Victor is extremely egotistical and narcissistic, constantly exaggerating his feats and accomplishments and bragging, especially when women are involved. He does his best to keep situations light and jovial, even in dire situations that could mean life or death. Victor constantly seeks the approval of others, and that was the main reason he decided to become the pilot of the GAHS-CM-4. His cocky attitude isn't entirely for show - he is very skilled at piloting his mech, even when considering the fact that he has had very little time to get used to the controls. Victor has a carefree attitude, and adventurous spirit, and despite what he says, a caring heart. He would rather take a hit than let someone else take one, and will do his best to protect the people that acknowledge him.
Victors cockiness is actually an act, which he uses in order to hide his insecurities. He is terrified of being a pilot, and only became one so people would respect him. Victor has an intense fear of failure, and will go to nearly any length besides harming others in order to win. Additionally, he suffers Monophobia, which he developed through years of isolation and abuse. When alone, he will be extremely meek, and lack the usual hotheadedness of his 'Social Personality'. Finally, he vehemently disapproves of drugs, and will refuse to even drink or smoke.
Skills: Victor is extremely proficient at handling traumatic situations, almost to a disturbing degree. Along with this, he is above average physically, and can withstand physical stresses better than most.
Short Bio: Born to a poor Cuban family in Chicago, Victor lived a very depressing childhood. His mother, a woman who was struggling with a meth addiction, died when he was only 6 years old, and ever since then, his father rapidly grew more and more abusive. Being hit for no reason whatsoever and going days without food was a common occurrence during his developing years, but Victor never spoke out against the abuse. He, like many other victims of abuse, was simply too afraid of voicing his suffering, and decided to suffer the abuse instead. Despite the malnutrition, Victor rapidly grew to be quite physically fit, and at the age of 15, the physical abuse stopped. Instead, emotional and mental abuse took it's place. Victor was forced to stay in his small room for days at a time, and without any form of entertainment during this period of isolation, Victor quickly developed his fear of being alone. To help him through the times of loneliness, Victor decided to exercise and train his body, only increasing the fitness of his body. By the time he was 17, he was extremely popular at his high school and local gym, had decent grades, and even had a somewhat stable job. All of that only added onto the shock the people in his communities felt when, on a warm June night, him and his father were caught in a gruesome car accident, leaving Victor orphaned.
The accident itself was thought to be caused from Victor's father, the driver, being heavily intoxicated, and Victor luckily escaped with light wounds. In actuality, Victor's father, driving his son home after he had gotten in a brawl at the school, told him that the second they got home, Victor would be spending the next three days in his room. Victor, wallowing in a chemical cocktail or testosterone and adrenaline, began to assault his father, slapping and punching from the rear seat. This distracted his father enough to cause the pair to slam directly into a lamppost. The father, having chosen to not wear a seat belt, died after being thrown through the windshield, and hitting the metal pole face first. Victor survived with only light bruising and a sprained knee. Until he graduated school a year later, Victor had to see a psychologist on a bi-weekly basis, and suffered extreme emotional stress having taken a human life. Eventually he graduated and, no longer being cared for by the state, found a cheap apartment and continued to work at his dead-end job. Victor's personality appeared to have returned, but Victor still struggled with the scars left by his father's abuse and death. The next 4 years were a blur, composed of hooking up with random women and dreading the nights he was forced to work the graveyard shift alone. Finally, on a night of introspection in front of a cash register, Victor realized that his life would remain like this if he didn't do something about it - that was when he decided to leave the state, in search of greener pastures.
The next 3 months were spent driving around the US, surviving off of odd jobs that he found along the way. Finally, Victor stumbled upon it - a government agency known as MAX FIRE. It was here that, upon seeing the various benefits, Victor applied for a position as a janitor. While the ridicule of being a janitor at 22 was somewhat disheartening, the truly horrible occurred only a month into his employment there - the first attack. A creature of gargantuan size attacked a city, killing many innocent people. It was eventually taken out after being chased several blocks, but the damage was irreversible. Fear consumed Victor, but even more so, anger. The strong were trying to bully the weak, and that was an act that was truly despicable. This was when Victor decided to make a difference and help people for once. Sneaking into the pilot candidate pool, Victor was successfully able to prove his skill at piloting, and when it was discovered he snuck in, he was offered two choices: Become the pilot of the fourth component, or face life imprisonment for sneaking into government facilities. Victor chose the former, becoming the pilot of 'Sharur'.
