Appearance:
Standing at roughly 6’0”, Harley’s form is one built up of hard living, exercise, and conflict. She’s lean and muscular, with scarred tan skin and a face that, while worn and rough, still manages to hold a near-constant mirth. She has salt-and-pepper hair that reaches the center of her back, which she often keeps tied in a lazy braid. Her eyes are a warm shade of hazel, and on her collarbone is a tattoo of the greek epsilon symbol.
Tends to dress in worn leather jeans, short sleeved shirts, and hiking boots.

Personality:
Harley is a friendly (if not rugged and somewhat eccentric) woman by nature. Calm and lackadaisical, it’s notably difficult to ruffle her feathers, or get another response to any real prodding than a good-natured chuckle and a dry quip. She can be remarkably amiable towards friends and enemies alike, and is fiercely loyal to the former, but there is a somewhat darker aspect of her personality in turn. Harley is violent and somewhat hedonistic, relishing in fist-fights and baser pleasures. However, since the birth of Minerva, she has made an effort to temper this side of herself down.
While Harley lacks some of the maternal instincts that come naturally to others, she’s fiercely protective of her child, and harming Minnie is the only real sure-fire way to bring her to anger.

Brief History:
Harlyn grew up in the southside of Chicago, in a household of two parents and four other children. It wasn’t the best lifestyle, gently put, and it didn’t take long for Harley to start craving an out as she grew older. Upon graduating high school at the age of eighteen, she initially intended to join the military, but took up mercenary work instead after a recommendation from an old friend of hers.

It was a good gig. A bit of a messy one, at times, but Harley relished in it. The pay was nice, it let her see new places, and, if she were to be honest, she enjoyed the violence it brought her way. Harley threw herself into her job, and, when the work was done, indulged herself with companionship and smokes and warm bodies in her bed. This last, however, wound up backfiring on her in a rather spectacular person.

Namely, by getting her knocked up.

Considering that she couldn’t very well punch people in the throat with a bun in the oven, Harlyn took a leave from her work, then went searching for the man she slept with to let him know the news. Unfortunately, by the time she returned to the city she had met him in, he was gone. Seeing little else to do, Harley decided to have the baby, and give it up for adoption once it was born. She had the child in the privacy of her own home (it was cheaper), then went to deliver it to its new family.

As luck would have it, the prospective family weren’t able to take in the kid, due to one of the parents having a heart attack and the expenses bleeding them dry. As such, Harley was saddled with the child until she could find a parent. Days of searching turned into weeks, then months. Before she had known it, the child had a name, and Harley had left her apartment in favor of a little two story brick house. She gave up her job as a merc, and decided to convert the front room of her home into a little tea shop. It was a slow and lazy life in comparison to her old one, but Harley was happy with her little Minerva.

Although it quickly became far less slow and lazy when Minnie started showing superpowers. Or when the government came knocking at the door.

Other:
- Was an avid chain-smoker before learning that she would be having a child. While she kept off the habit during her pregnancy, and has been trying to kick the habit a little now that she’s raising a toddler, Harley will still take a drag or two when away from Minnie.

- As Minnie is mute, Harlyn has learned sign language, and has begun to teach her daughter how to sign, as well.

It started off simple. Some of the crops Harlyn was growing in the backyard seemed to grow a little faster than usual, or Minerva toddled in, pudgy fingers wrapped tight around wildflowers that Harlyn hadn’t seen growing in the area. Soon enough, seeds began to grow into plump squashes and melons overnight. Plants grew wild and uncontrolled on the property. It all came to a head when Harlyn caught little Minnie squatting beside one of her tea plants (mint, good for the belly), and the plant started growing and waving around like it had a mind of its own.

Other: Wears an old aviator jacket Harley snagged during her mercenary days. It is currently still far too large for her to properly wear, but Minnie seems to like it regardless.
