-The Collector-

-Location: The Ruined Lands-

"Welcome to my collection, mortals." The creature bowed low to the humans filling the spacious hall before him. The hall was not something of greatness, it was long past it's time of glory. The windows cracked and admitting the pale light from the sunny day. Moss and grasses forced their way though the flagstones. As branches of vines invaded where windows once were. About the entrances to the hall were suits of armor, rusted and rent though they were. Their long halberds however were keen edged. Bloodied still form whatever they once fought. The collector however turned to bow to the figures about the balconies. Tall and short, they wores the faces on monster and those of friends. Fae watched the mortals below. Freshly brought from their native Realm. They had been their for mere hours. Handed off from those who had brought them. A few had tried to run, only to be turned about and find themselves shacked to the posts that supported the rotting roof.

Tilting his golden head, a woman- perhaps a man?- watched from their chair. A thing of golden wood and green velvet. With fine features and strong nature about them. Yygdrasil lounged in his chair. "Oh, my~!" The great Dyrad sighed. "Look at all the pretty new servants. A shame my husband isn't here to enjoy this with me." Fluttering a fan in front of his face, the woman gave a pout. Her/His robes flowing about them in something reminiscence of a airy kimono. The forlorn look towards unoccupied chair of black and silver was unmistakable. The grey cloaked figure that stood between the chairs ignored the interruption.

None truly knew what the Collector was other than a gatherer of things. Of objects. A robe of thick grey with age, patched enough times it's original material was lost. His face was covered by the grey tendrils of his hair and a small ragged beard was seen coming from the depths of that shadow as well. Spreading his weathered hands, their nails cracked and yellow with age, he spoke once again. "Welcome to my collection, I am sad to inform you, that you may not remain." The hand before the empty chair closed into a fist. "My Lord King of the UnSeelie Courts, who has not been able to join us." His wheezing voice did not betray any dislike as his mirrored the motion on the side of Yygdrasil. "My Lord-" "Lady-Queen." "King of the Seelie Courts. You will separate into two groups. You will leave this place and take up what your Lord-King" "Lady-Queen!" "-commands. This is why you have been brought to our Realm. I have little care as to why you sold, or we were sold, your life." His hands folded before him. "You may decide, or we will force you. We are not unkind."

There was a round of jeering laughter at this last comment.

Yin

As the collector and Yygdrasil spoke a rather large white and orange nine tailed fox padded its way in. It had an odd sort of beauty to it, but the way it walked showed that this fox was one to enjoy hunting things. It paused in front of the black and silver chair and became a man right before the gathered group's eyes. Yin seemed to be dressed a bit more formally than usual. A crimson shirt with a relatively deep but somewhat modest v hugged his upper body while black leggings and tall black boots graced his lower. He still had all nine of the tails and a top his head of white and pale orange was two large ears. His eyes were rimmed with red and he gave a bow. "My lady queen I apologize for my late timing, I come on behalf of my lord" He stood and then tilted his head at the collector. "So what have you brought" He turned and gave a wolfish grin at the humans. "Oh my my my They are adorable are they not" All nine of his tails gave a wave. "Hmmm some of them seem a bit on the scrawnier side" His head tilted to the side. "But their looks do make up for that."

Yin gave a nod and then looked at the collector. "you certainly have out done yourself." He then looked back at the humans and long claws appeared on his hands as he grinned again. "I do rather hope they prove their worth. Though at this moment I sense many still have the delusional thought that they are sleeping" Large ears flicked. "Humans....so willing not to trust their own eyes" He turned back to Yygdrasil before sitting down in front of the black and silver seat. Yin was not one to sit in a seat that was very much not for him. But, he still showed whom he represented by sitting in front of it. He then gave another wolfish grin. "Oh I do ask that I participate in the forcing if required my lady queen" A request he often made. After all, he did enjoy the forcing as was very evident from the joyful gleam in his amber eyes. Of course, he would not forget to pick out the ones that seemed good for the court...and he wouldn't try to terrify them. Well....not too much anyway.

Yusuke

Yusuke was not panicking. For clearly he was dreaming. His black hair was a mess and his clothes that were once tidy were wrinkled from him attempting to run only to find himself shackled to a post. What is happening?? no this is a dream. This is so clearly a dream there is no way this is reality The delusional thoughts kept circling in his mind like drunken fish. He desperately looked around himself seeing all manners of things that did not make sense to his brain and squeezed his eyes shut.

Soon, he heard a voice and his eyes slowly opened. He blinked at the sight of the figures and shook his head. This was truly insane. He felt a shudder go through himself and then he pulled on the shackle lightly. The sensations felt real enough. His head went forward and he bit himself. There was pain and reality hit. Shaking somewhat he looked forward once more to see a sight that made even less sense. A kitsune....but those were not real. His eyes widened. As his brain fully finally convinced him of his reality he shook again. Fae...they were real. But then...what caused him to be taken here.

Yusuke steeled his resolve and stopped shaking his gaze going to the queen?. He gave a bow, because if this was indeed his reality he would not die here. "Your highness" His head was still down as he kept the bow. His voice was on the quieter side but held something attractive in it. "I was wondering if you would mind confirming to me if this is indeed the fae realm" Politeness oozing from him. He was actually glad japanese lore was a piece of his child hood now. Especially with how that kitsune was staring at each individual like they were a toy.

Bodil Bera

Two feet. Two hands. Two eyes. She still had all her pieces and bits. Short dark hair cropped to curl at her jaw, her faded green eyes flashed in anger. Full pouting lips in down turned frown, the sparrow-like girl would really like to kick and thrash and scream her demands to be released. She wasn’t alone in this. But she’d like to wager that she was the angriest. Her wish had been maliciously twisted. She shouldn’t be here! Her booted feet scuffled on the ground. Already having tried to make a break for it, she had been shackled up, her bindings anchored to one of the posts supporting the decaying canopy once called a roof. Layered in warm clothes, she was a wintery looking thing, though a bit thin and small for proper durability in harsh cold climates. Not that it had ever stopped her before.

She was stubborn and a bit spiteful, glaring as each horrible monstrous mask in the crowd, like a chained wolfling mutt ready to bite at anything that dared get too close. Collection! Ha! This was an auction! The decrepit corpse of the building was molding over with greenery and anything metallic gasped under layers of smothering rust. The grand jewel-colored windows were cracked and bleeding light, vines and brambles festering in their wounds. In the balcony teeth above, masks of faces smile down at her. Some were so horrific and other too painfully beautiful, so they must be masks.

Gold and glittering silver and other kinds of finery she could not name glimmered like stars in the skeleton teeth of the balcony. Gilded to hide their horrifying natures, no doubt. The Collector paired well with his dying palace, for he too was rotting and decaying, fraying at the edges, his wheezing voice cracking like the windows but holding no beauty. As if made of ancient wood, stone and dust, he projected his discontentment of some Unseelie King. Bodil didn’t know what an ‘unseelie’ was but it sounded like ‘unseen’ to her. She growled lowly.

Then there was the ‘seelie’ king-queen. Whatever. Didn’t matter. All Bodil knew was that this was temporary. She’d gotten out of a binding servitude once. She could do it again. The jeering made her snap to, tugging at her shackles and glowering like a starved wolf that hadn’t lost its fight quite yet. Decide? Decide what?! Where and who they would be slaves to? That was no choice! Bodil made a noise of frustration, squirming at her tightening bonds.

A beast man appeared and she shuddered. Round doe-like eyes went wide. Beast-men of were often the tormentors of her childhood nightmares. It grinned and she repealed in disgust and horror. So the revolting beasts of her nightmares were real and not just child’s dreams! Every wave of the creatures tail made her face twist a bit tighter in terrified abhorrence. The thing grew claws and she shiver, paling though she could not look away. This talk of ‘forcings’, whatever that was, sent shivers like cold ice water down her spine. Screwing her eyes shut, she pushed her face into her shoulder.

She wanted to go home. She wanted to be away from this awful place that housed nightmares. But all this ‘wanting’ is what got her in this mess to begin with. Why couldn’t she be satisfied with life as a Mennonite? Why couldn’t she simply suffer through the hounding that her father and brother had dragged he through, trying to get her to go home when clearly she was never going back? She had made it years through all that. Then one night, in weary weakness, she confessed her wish to what she had thought had been an angel.

And now Bodil was here. Betrayed. Oh, but she had gotten her wish. She’d never be bothered by her family ever again. A young man spoke, a human, same as her. Her eyes snapped to him. He was talking to them? Bodil shuddered. Why did he seem so calm? Didn’t he know?

They were never going to get away from this place. Not without connections and a plan.

Good thing she had experience with being held captive.

Elsa stood among a group of other humans. None she recognized. Both me and women, varying ages but all with one thing in common : beauty. Each had something about them that was different and pleasing to the eyes.

She had given up trying to figure out what kind of drug induced coma she had landed in. If and when she woke up though she was going to find out who spiked her drink and kill them. It had probably been that creepy guy who had turned to nasty insults when she had refused his sad attempts at flirting. Unlike her friend Colleen, she didn't jump into bed for one night stands. Elsa had been labeled a 'frigid bitch' by most of the players at the bar she and her friends ended up in every Saturday night.

But... she hadn't been at the club... that's right, she had been at the music hall after hours, playing her favorite Yiruma piece when...

She couldn't remember what happened after that.
The next thing she recalled was coming to in this trippy Game of Thrones-esque backdrop with the Lord of the Rings rejects.
Of course she kept all of these thoughts to herself. Her face was as passive as ever, taking everything in and observing. Panicking would solve nothing, anger would get her no where and tears were useless.

A he/she spoke, saying something about them being sold. There was also something about a collection. A girl beside her was blubbering and was hanging on to Elsa's arm like Elsa was a lifeline. Elsa didn't acknowledge the woman, keeping her focus on those before them who now had control of their lives.

One male in particular gave her the creeps, most likely because he asked to be part of 'forcing' the humans to do something. And the gleam in his eyes told Elsa she was not going to like whatever it was.

What exactly did they expect from her? She was a pianist, a musician. What use could she be?
A human male spoke up and Elsa shook her head. There was an idiot in every bunch. She had the strong feeling that hers people were the "do not speak unless spoken to" types. Like her foster mother had been.

Elsa closed her eyes and let the view in front of her fade away. She turned to the one thing that had always gotten her through anything : music.
Unconsciously she began humming under her breath, her fingers working like she was touching the keys of a piano. Yiruma' River Flows in You played through her mind. It had been the piece she had been playing when everything had gone fuzzy.
No, wait... before that... she'd started to sing... that's right... she had sung her own lyrics to the music, saying how she wished to be somewhere far away, a place where she could forget...

Dear God... what had she done?

-The Collector-

-Location: The Ruined Lands-

The Collector did not appear to have heard the kitsune's remarks. Then he spoke, his voice sounding like gravel being crushed beneath a boulder as his hands clasped before him. "You may herd them into separate groups if they do not move to stand to either side of the Hall, kitsune." For all the Collector was certainly not made of stone, he certainly seemed so. It was rumored by several of the fae that his heart was actually of stone. Locked deep within the ruined halls he called home. For it was here he always wandered, never leaving. Walking with that slow and steady step that sent mortal and lesser fae quivering into corners lest his shadow fall upon them. A wise thing to do, for even the Fair Yggdrasil would not meet his eyes fully. Their green eyes always slightly above or to the side. Never down, that would not do for Royalty. But never would the 'Lady-Queen' of the Seelie Court lock eyes with the ancient Fae.

No, that honor fell to one alone. It was one among many reasons some whispered the Fall King was far stronger than his odd counterpart. Though others argued that Yggdrasil's life giving tree made up for this slight weakness. That the prosperity of Summer and Spring was far greater than Fall and Winter which stood testament to Yggdrasil's greater power. It was a old argument for the long winter nights, scholarly towers and tavern corners. No one was truly sure of the answer any more.

But slowly the frost grew along the windows, the day turning slowly darker. As the wind whipped in whispers of laughter and taunts. A hound's bay carried on the breeze. Almost as if it taunted the terrified mortals. Already they were scared, and loath to move from their groups of safety. But those more resigned began to drift to one side of the ruined hall or the other. The Seelie or the UnSeelie. Several rushed the door in desperation, merely to be blasted back as wind grew to a howl. The Yggdrasil sat forward on their throne, their face keen on the darkening sky.

"Oh, Blessed are we." Her soft, yet wooden face (For the Fae Realm was filled with contradictions about such things) turned towards the kitsune as wind tugged his fur this way and that. "Kitsune, you said your Lord will not be attending? Did he say perhaps why he was not doing so? For it seems the Hunter of Souls rides the storms." The comment was not taken lightly as the Fae- greater and lesser- shifted uncomfortably on the balcony about the ruins. Several taking flight or melting away into the light or shadow as they sought a less precarious place to be. For all Fae knew that Yggdrasil was the grower, the farmer. The giver of life. Even as they knew this, they also had been told from the cradles of their mothers to beware the Hunter of Souls, the Great Hunt, the Wylde Hunt. For good reason it was told to be avoided as well. For once a soul was claimed, woe to he (or she) who was the claimed. They would ride with the Lord of the UnSeelie till they ceased to exist in the howling winds and ghostly apperations of his host. It was rare that the Lord would Ride, but from time to time he did. Generally to seek out those who had truly tarnished his law, with his loyal Cú Ifreann. A pack of hounds who sought for his hand to end.

Raposo~Yin

Yin seemed to beam before standing, clasping his hand over his heart and giving a bow toward the collector. A formal way to show agreement. Then he looked at the humans, his eyes scanning over each individual and seeing their emotions in their faces. Fear good, horror...he stopped and stared at one woman in particular. She looked at him with disgust. The barb hit and all nine of his tails gave an irritated flick. Kitsune were not disgusting. How dare she. He walked to her and when he was fairly close, his hands clasped behind his back, he leaned forward. His eyes filled with irritation, but his body posture almost seemed...bored. "Human....I must say being looked with disgust is quite the annoyance to me." His head tilted and his eyes quickly scanned her over as someone would a potential pet. "A spunky waif. Fair warning...I can be your best dream or your worst nightmare. Choose wisely"

Yin then took a step back and turned one of his nine tails lifting and caressing her face as he left her. Another pause as his ears swiveled to humming. Quick steps led him to another woman who was moving her hands over some imaginary thing. Ears pricked up and he moved and looked her hands over, a much different posture then before. This one more clearly showing the fox that he was. Nine tails waved as he looked at her. "Human...what is it that you are doing?" He looked from her hands to her face then back again. Large ears flicked as if he was intensely curious about it. Then he took a step back as if shaking himself off from it and turned. With his hands clasped behind his back once more he began walking through the ways to make sure the humans were doing what they were supposed to. The gleam in his eyes daring them to try running.

As soon as Yin spotted a human refusing to move he walked to them and swiveled into their view. Human...shall you move or shall I make you?" He grinned exposing pointed canines. The human male in question stood straighter and Yin gave a nod. Ah interesting choice." With fast movements Yin grabbed the man and picked him up before striding to one side and dropping him. The man grunted when he hit the floor and Yin shook his head. "Humans"

Yin looked at the seal queen and tilted his head. He seemed to be reasonably calm in the high winds and darkened sky. As the wind tossed his tails they slowly vanished and his ears became his elongated pointed fleshy ones. He provided a head shake. "I was not provided with such information" He seemed slightly unwary given that when the hunt was afoot there were hounds. And dogs of any shape were not something he enjoyed.

Yusuke

Yusuke sighed as his question went unanswered and straightened. He gave another look around and paid no attention the the kitsune. He focused instead in absorbing the details all around him. The place was quite beautiful to say the least and if he was indeed trapped here, he may as well get inspiration from it. His painter's mind taking in colors and the feel of the place until the sky darkened and the wind picked up.

Yusuke looked around and blinked. What was going on? He was not fully sure he wanted to know. With barely any compliment he made his way to one side of the room that he thought was designated for the seelie side. It seemed the better idea of the two given the kitsune was unseelie. And he did not want to experience anything that had to do with that creature. His mind made up he stood there and went back to taking in details. This time he would give small glances toward the seelie ruler as he tried to absorb their features. They would make beautiful paintings.

Yusuke was soon snapped out of his thoughts however when there was a small commotion between a man and the fox. His eyes widened as the kitsune simply picked the man up then dumped him on the floor. The creature was strong on top of what he learned about them? Fascination swept him, but also a wave of intimidation. No he definitely did not want to end up in the same area as the fox. He put his gaze back forward and went back to absorbing details.

Bodil Bera

Bodil shuddered, her round eyes narrowing at The Collector. She was not a thing to be sold or bartered! How dare these, these, these nightmare creatures treat them like cattle! 'Herd them into separate groups...' Eyes slipping to steal glances at her shackled wrists, their anchoring chain connected to the beams above, she wished she had great strength. If she had, she could just pull the ceiling down on all of them and scramble away. The dark haired human female glowered at her offending skinny and lean arms.

If she had been faster, she wouldn't be shackled at all. Lady Queen, Collector or masked nobel freak, Bodil refused. She would find her way out of this. They might think her weak, being mortal and thin, but she had something none of them had. The desperate desire for freedom. And it would crush them all under her heel. All she had to do was wait for the right time...

The Collector was like living dust. But he wasn’t her focus. ‘Herd them’ he said. Like she was just another cow among cattle. Hideous as all the beings before her were, the beast-man made her stomach roll. Nightmares from her childhood, out in the house they lay in the corpse-dead eyes of a wooded landscape. Everything decays under the surface in the woods. In the house a crumbling family under the pressure of a corrupted religion enforced by the men of her family distorted her days. At night, terrors of men who were part beast and all parts demon stalked inside her mind.

The Collector frightened her, but it was the fox man that sent her face twisting in revulsion and making her pale skin look waxen, even under the fae-sunlight. His furry tails twitched like tentacles of a slimy sea creature. He got closer. Night terrors resurfaced like burned memories on a revolving door in her mind. Her breathing hitched and she shuddered. He spoke towards her. Bodil gagged.

“If you are unsettled, then go away,” her voice was as chilled as a thin winter wind, her eyes looking up at him with ice and malice and pure revulsion. His tail stroked her face as he started to walk away and her anger boiled over. “You are already a nightmare,” she hissed, spiting at the ground, full of venom and malice, “You have no potential for anything other that what you are, vile thing.” That was what she said in her paper thin voice.‘Thing.’ Not ‘creature’ nor anything noting of a living and breathing being. But ’thing’. He was less than decay and fungus to her.

The land around her began to darken. Masked creatures fled and mortal squealed. Icy bitting air burned at her cheeks. Frost grew along the windows, the sky darkening. Bodil had come from a cold place and was still in her own clothes, so the wind only bit at the soft paleness of her cheeks, the slender curve of her nose, the reddening bow of her mouth, and her imprisoned hands. And she welcomed it, the familiar cold. It built up in her as an odd comfort in the familiar feel of the air that the place she had grown up in had. Everything was always crushed under frost and snow. And in the winter she was safe.

In winter, her night terrors were buried as her father and older brother went on long hunts for meat. Bodil relaxed as the cold air wrapped around her, tussling her dark hair. Her shackles heavy, she tugged towards the cold. She needed it. The winter was all she needed.

The fox spoke to her. Tod. The word came to her suddenly. She realized what she was doing of course. Her mind was trying to rationalize what she was seeing by classifying. A Tod was a male fox. Female foxes were called vixens, with babies called kits or pups. A group of foxes was called a skulk or a leash...

He spoke and she was startled out of her thoughts. What was she doing? Trying not to die.
Oh, he meant with her hands. She noticed then how they were moving like she was playing a piano. It was a nervous tick she had when she was in an uncomfortable situation.
"I am a pianist," she answered evenly, tossing her head unconsciously to get her hair out of her face. "I play the piano," she added from past experiences of immature men and boys laughing at the word, hearing something else entirely.

He turned away from her. Obviously she had not interested him enough. Oh dear how would she carry on with her life?
Okay so the situation hadn't taken her sarcasm from her. This was good.

The annoying woman who was on Elsa's arm started adding sounds to her ridiculous blubbering. Irritated, Elsa finally freed herself and lightly pushed the woman away from her. She received a startled look which turned to downright bitchy moments later.
"I am not your relative, friend or significant other. Do not hang on me. And dry it up. Hysterics are not going to help the situation. You are just making an annoyance of yourself and giving the rest of us a headache."
"Y-you frigid bitch!" The woman accused before throwing herself at another woman who hugged and comforted her while glaring at Elsa. Perhaps her actions had been cruel, but there was only so much ridiculousness she could stand.

-The Collector-

-Location: The Ruined Lands-

The Collector did not seem to notice the frost that formed over his robes and in his tangled beard. Nor the winds that whipped and howled through the building, building to a crescendo of might as they whirled and carried the cries of hounds and hooves of horse assumedly upon them. Shadows danced as though some flame flickered behind them, yet there was no such thing. "You might wish to hurry along mortals- kitsune." The wheezing voice should have been hardly audible over the small gale that was forming, yet it was perfectly clear. Fae magic was such. "The Lord of the Hunt approaches swift upon the hooves of his steed." Ah, did that seem true. But the kitsune would know better. For the Lord of Fall rode no beast, nor would ever require one. The hooves were of other huntsmen. Other beings who joined him upon his quest- whatever it may be.

No, the King of the UnSeelie rode the very winds themselves. For there he was in all his glory as they twisted and warped. Shadows spinning along their length, ripped from what made them to wrap about each other and form a figure well over six feet high. As they dissipated and the wind calmed, pale skin appeared over a well muscled body. The Fall King was a massive figure, lean with muscle and a angular face some of those who were mortal (and some who were not) swore was carved by the hands of a god. His dark cloak of feathers was whipped about his shadowy form. For someone who was said to have been hunting he bore no armor nor weapon. A good sign for those who knew him. Donning such a thing was rare and meant a bloody fight. Both for the legendary king and the challenger. Yet the King of the UnSeelie did not stand, nor did he watch the mortals. His storm grey eyes were elsewhere, staring off into the between as they often did. Seeing something else altogether.

Yggdrasil looked utterly pleased by this turn of events, though she maintained enough manners to flutter his fan before their face and look with a certain hunger at the King of Darkness. "It is good of you to join us, Dearest Falk. How was your hunt?" The question was merely answered with a sideways look from the Fall King- Falk. His attention turned to the Collector who bowed low to the King of Darkness.

"It is good of you to come, Majesty." The Collector stated in that dead tone, ignoring Yggdrasil sputtering outburst that the Fall King was the one who was given the ambiguous title. Nearly about the speak again, the Collector was cut off as the King of the UnSeelie crossed one leg over the other knee and propped his cheek up with a fist.

"I am merely here to see business done, Collector." The King's voice was firm, the deepest of mysterious pools that lurked within the spaces between stars. The roll of distant storms echoed in his language, as though he was not human and like no other Fae. So very opposite of the Fair Yggdrasil. "My hunt ended early thus I was able to fulfill my being here. Carry on." The Collector inclined his ancient robed head before resuming his orginal position. The storm eyes of the King fell upon Raposo, that last bit was for his servant.

"You could at least stop by to see me, or say hello." Huffed Yggdrasil, their robes billowing about them in that rougher wind. As the great Dyrad fought to tame them to their proper form again. Earning themselves a quiet 'hello, then. I shall be saying good bye shortly' from Falk. One could almost say the two were presenting a well worn and tried dance between the two. And this was so very true.

Yin chose to ignore the comments...even the spit that had been tossed his way by that human. Spunky little waif. He was most certainly going to enter her mind when she slept. He had her scent...in fact....he might chose her for the fall court. It would be absolutely Lovely to see her will break down. Internal glee was almost visible on his face even with the winds that had billowed about him. The other human was some form of musician. He glanced over as their was a small commotion from her and some other human that smelled like tears and depression. A lovely scent to be sure...but there was no enjoyment from seeing it. Fear...horror...much better emotions to see in human faces. It contorted the features in such special ways.

Yin was standing between the two groups of humans as the wind increased in power. His entire self seemed to perk up with the fast approach of his lord. The sound of hounds slightly affecting him as evidence by the small twitch of one eye. The hounds were always a source of wariness for him. What helped him was the knowledge that his lord was coming in on the winds. As soon as the fall king appears, yin had has hand over his heart and was bending at the waist in a deep bow. Clearly, Yin was a suck up to certain individuals. He stayed that way until he was addressed.Once he was, his eyes moving up to look at falk. Once told to carry one a large wolfish grin stretched across his face and he straightened. "Of course my lord" He turned and strode between the humans until he reached the crying woman. "Human why are you leaking. It is not becoming of you" He lightly reached forward and snatched the woman away from them and moved her to the other side with a look of distaste.

Amongst the crowd one man, albeit a different man from before, decided to try to make a run for it. This was a bad idea in front of a creature that enjoyed chasing creatures. With swift movements, he grabbed the man and lifted him turning the human to face him. He grabbed the man's mouth and opened it, peering into the mouth like a person attempting to buy a horse. He shook his head and then lightly tossed him to the same side he had tossed the crying woman into. He then circled the two groups before standing in front. "The humans have been herded into groups my lord"

Yusuke

Yusuke was silently hoping that he was still standing in the section that meant he would be far far away from the kitsune. He stood in the group and watched as the wind grew in strength and then...a man? No no that was clearly no ordinary man. This was a fae that demanded respect. He found himself bowing his head to try not to earn a stare from that tall fae looking creature. His hair falling into his face as he moved. He was going to have to be as good a person possible in order to survive here he could tell. He looked around once more to inspect the various other humans gathered here.

Then, the fox was moving once more. The look on the creature's face caused his spine to shiver. Yusuke watched in a bit of terror as the fox lurked between the groups. He watched as the creature pulled a woman from the other group with a look of absolute disgust and toss her into the group that he was in. He blinked and then watched as the fox lurked once more. How could he survive this place if any sign of emotion resulted in being thrown away like trash. Before he could think any further the fox held another human...this time a man and was looking at him as if the man were nothing more then a horse for purchase. Once the fox was finally done he found himself looking forward to see what was next for their fate.

Bodil Bera

Bodil smirked in small victory as the hideous fox-like creature slunk off to torment some other poor soul. With her wrists shackled and bound, much like a few that had attempted escape before, her brown hair, so dark it was almost black, tussled about as the wind picked up. Closing her eyes, she let out a relieved breath as the icy hiss of wind drew its bitter touch over everything. Her pale skin blushed from it's eager bite, her dark lashes became laced with frost and her wide doe-like eyes seemed to become clear. A storm swept away by the wind.

But another human woman threw words like daggers at a leech that had attached itself to her arm. In drastic times, true notes of people shone through. Thinking on it, the thin young woman tugged at the shackles on her wrist, gaze on the gaping maw of the door. So close... So far... Eyes blazed a path up to horrid The Collector. Like something without heat, like the windows to his decrepit palace of sale, he had frosted over. That creature did not even flinch at the inhuman cries of hounds and hooves.

The angry woman cared not for beasts or nightmares or kings or queens. She would not be defeated by this stoney Collector or his milk-willed audience. But as the wind wailed, something in the air changed. Like all the cheer had been drained, a small tornado shifted and stretched in the hall. And it was coming closer, receding in on itself with each spiraling sweep. A form over the height of an average man cloaked itself in shadows and frost. Ah. This was the king they had all talked about.

Well, the Falcon King (for she had misheard his title of 'Falk' and in truth he looked a bit scowly like some such bird; dressed like one too) had graced his nightmare court with an appearance. He looked bored, if anything, not even examining the 'market meat' or even his creepy kin. That queen seemed infatuated with this fowl royal. But the others didn't dare look at him. The humans who trembled with fright all had their eyes on the ground, or anywhere but on His Royal Feathered Dramaticness. Even the high mannered human male, with all his flattery and manners, couldn't look on this Falcon King.

Bodil scoffed and muttered under her breath, "That's it? A whirl of the cape and a glare?" Something of a sneer crossed her face before she looked past the tepid creatures that were claimed to be royalty. Those eyes looked at the window where the frost had etched delicate patterns and her features softened. The love affairs and quarrels of such a revolting court was not of any interest to her, but frost on the window was. Restlessly she tugged on the chain that had her shackled to the beams above.

That lurking pest of a beast-man broke her gaze by slinking about and she scowled as if she had caught sight of a disgusting display. The beast-man showed off, rounding up some poor man who had bravely attempted escape before tossing him into a pile with that weeping leech. The group that had the well-mannered man in it too. Suspicious, Bodil's eyes gleamed sharply.

Melinda L. Holstead

Melinda slowly opens her eyes and noticed she’s no longer in her room anymore but chained up in a desecrated old building. She eyes her surroundings and noticed there’s many humans, she doesn’t recognize any of them and some taller fantasy based humanoids. Her face was in awe at this and felt like she was in one of her favorite fantasy animes she always wanted to be in. ”This can’t be happening, where the hell am I? I was sleeping in my room listening to Techno music. I seriously need to stop sleeping at my desk. But this is definitely a nice change, I always wanted to be in a fantasy dream world before,” Melinda thought to herself, a bit conflicted and worried about her surroundings. She eyed one of the fantasy humanoids, as a kitsune since he has nine tails and was awestruck at his handsomeness. She felt like this was from one of her slice of life fantasy animes because it looks so similar to them but more real.

Melinda was wearing her headphones and all her clothes seemed to be in their proper places, which gave her a small smile on her face. She could only tell they are speaking English from their mannerisms and ways they are talking but had no idea what this all meant. ”Did they just say we are slaves? W-What… This never happens in the anime I watch,” Melinda thought to herself, with a bit of a frown on her face. She noticed in the corner of her eyes, her purse with everything she usually takes with her everywhere. She tried to recount everything within it but it was hard to realize it. Her face was thinking even though she couldn’t really put her hand on her face to think. ”Did I bring my fox plushie? I would hate myself if I did since my parents gave to me as a gift,” Melinda thought to herself, with a depressed look on her face. Her face changed from depressed to a happy smile when she remembered she never leaves home without it and it’s in her purse. She enjoyed her purses color, it is red and had a leathery texture to it.

Melinda had her eyes staring directly at the kitsune, while he was walking back and forth. ”Sir Fox Guy, I got a Fox Plushie in my purse,” Melinda said, with a smile on her face, even though she doesn’t really know the guy’s name. Her smile on her face was genuine and a bit happy to see something nice to this world. She didn’t know how the kitsune would respond to her.

General Kaeleer Savant

interactions with@Landaus Five-One,@LovelyAnastasia,@BlackPanther,@LadyRunic,@Belle

The hunt, oh what a sweet hunt it was. Kaeleer's heart soared with joy at the thought of it. That is why he had gone. The thrill of the chase and the rush of adrenaline in the brutality of the kill. Kaeleer Savant, Hound of Ultar, The Fang of Fall and the Wraith of War, amongst other names. Monikers that were well chosen for such a creature of destruction with well placed taste. The Wylde Hunt had finished and in stead (for now) he was on his way to The Gathering where the collector brought in his quarry for auction and subjugation. He was particularly fond of this event. Always hoping to find a human warrior or beautiful mistress to bare an heir of his own. He was late but it would be no surprise to those who knew Kaeleer. He was always tardy with simplicities such as this, despite his never-ending attempt to arrive as scheduled, something he would hear from Lord Fall himself.

Swift as the wind is he, his paws met the ground with force, carrying his large mass across the ground with great haste. Heavy breathes left his nostrils as the midnight sun glistened against his snarling maw. His teeth, once pearly white, now stained by his prey, an occasional drip of crimson ichor leapt off his fangs in run. His piercing golden eyes reflected the light of night. His fur, black with a peppering of whites and greys whipped about in the wind generated by his run which was clouded in a pitch black smoke. He could see the outskirts of the ruins in sight and let out a howl which would echo around the lands. This was the signal of General Savant's approach. The earth shook ever-so-slightly by his steps which let audible thumps resonate through the terra beneath him. It was some where near the entrance to the ruins did he begin to let out a few barks which could be mistaken for roars due to the sheer volume of each outburst.

The smoke stopped and bursting forth from the blackened fog a massive beast on all fours came charging in. It stood at six feet plus in height and looked very much like a dire wolf of the Human Realm. As he neared the center he slowed down, snapping his maw open and close, saliva and remaining ichor flew towards the humans chained upon the columns and then towards those separated. Looking forward he saw Yin and snarled. To Yin however, he would no it was equal to his usual "look" he addressed the Kitsune with. His paced slowed as he neared Yin, each step he took defined his muscular wolf form.

"Lords and Ladies! I apologize for my tardiness as I have just finished with a hunt... Yin! What have I missed so far?"

As soon as the wolf began to speak, a few of the humans gasped, a couple screamed and the rest simply reeked of fear. Its voice was deep, gravelly and raspy. As he turned to face the Queen Spring and Lord Fall, he began to change form, slowly beginning to stand on his hind legs as the sounds of bones cracking and bending were heard through the transformation. Soon formed a humanoid with greyish skin who stood well above the others with two blades adorning his back, each about as long as the man himself. A light smile rested on his features only contradicted by his eyes which showed slight disgust towards the giver of life. As he approached, he began to kneel, his head low and eyes closed. This time, his voice showed youth and a smoothness to it.

"Lady Spring...My apologies for my rudeness. I was out with Lord Fall on the hunt. How goes it m'lady? I see the gathering is in full swing, yes?"

He would wait for her response before standing up and turning his piercing golden gaze towards the humans and began to study them. He first brought his attention to Yin and narrowed his eyes and to the human female with the mouth to which he smirked.

The fox came and took the annoying woman away. The relief Elsa felt was tinged with worry. Why were they being separated into groups? What was the purpose? Was this an auction type of thing? Were they being sold as individuals or as groups?
Analyzing the happenings and potential reasons behind them kept Elsa sane. Her face was passive, but if one looked in her eyes they would see how quickly her mind was going.

There was a sudden and ominous burst of wind. A new being appeared, such as Elsa had never seen or imagined before. One could feel the power from the being, he invoked a deep sense of fear and Elsa found herself feeling relieved that his eyes were not on her. Those storm grey eyes were hauntingly beautiful. They both scared her and compelled her to keep looking at them. For the first time since she was a child Elsa instinctively curled inward, figuratively shrinking away from the being in fear. Normally only her foster father could illicit such a response but this was on a whole different level. He made her foster father seem like a slug in comparison to a wild beast.

If that hadn't been enough to make her fearful yet another being appeared. This one wasn't as terrifying but if Elsa's personality had been any weaker she would have been cowering on the ground at this point. Where the fox had seemed irritating and the being they all called the King had terrified her, this wolf-being was both fear-inspiring and fascinating. Even in her fear Elsa's mind studied him, watchin my how his body changed from animal to more human-like. She said human-like because there was no way anyone would mistake him as human. Really none of the beings here could be mistaken for human. They all had various degrees of feral and supernatural power to them. They were not of the human world to be sure.

Music drifted through Elsa's mind, the kind of deep primal music that resonates in your chest. That reaches a part of the human psyche that after years of progress has become dormant.
Finally her nerves began to get to her. The first crack appeared in her armor she created for herself as she bit her bottom lip. While a few of her fellow captives used quick words, biting remarks or attempts to escape, Elsa remained quiet, standing her ground but feeling a slowly rising terror at what might happen to them. Were they to be servants? Sex slaves? Meals?
At this point she wasn't certain which option was worse.

But her childhood had taught her how to be a survivor. She would do whatever she had to survive. Did this make her smart? Or a coward?
Her long tapered fingers trembled slightly. She alternated between wishing they would just do whatever they intended to do, and hoping to be forgotten about.

Samhain Intrigues

-The Collector-

-Location: The Ruined Lands-

"Lady Spring...My apologies for my rudeness. I was out with Lord Fall on the hunt. How goes it m'lady? I see the gathering is in full swing, yes?"

"You are forgiven, Hound." The Ruler of Spring and Summer looked rather amused at the Hound's antics. Their eyes gleamed with the laughing swirls of sunlit dappled leaves. Giving a pointed glance at the Lord of the opposite Realm, Yggdrasil's smirk grew ever larger. She/He enjoyed tormenting the Lord of the UnSeelie Courts, nearly as much as they would have adored to woo the dark male. But the latter was fraught with dangers that the dryad respected. "The gathering held few of true interest til your Lord showed up in all his glory." The gold and green fan that matched the flowing robes fluttered before the nose and lips of the feminine male.

Falk adjusted himself giving the masculine female (Or was it the other way around?) a dry stare. "You lay it on a bit thick 'Drasil." He ignored the woman's/man's gapping face before they waved their arms in what essentially was a childish display of temper. For a dryad, they were not quick to rouse. Yet Yggdrasil was a odd one, there was no two ways about that. Even after so long there were still bets upon the Seelie Ruler's true gender. It was thought perhaps 'Falk' as the UnSeelie's dark King was called, might know the truth of it. But none dared to ask him. His reputation preceded him. Though a fair ruler, he was not one (much like Yggdrasil was one) to dally about and deal with nonsense. And speaking of nonsense, his eyes narrowed on the dark haired girl who had tried to escape earlier. As obvious by her jessed state.

"That's it? A whirl of the cape and a glare?"

"Would you rather I simply appear as your worst nightmare, little girl?" The king's stormy eyes took on their green hue as he tilted his head to one side. A sharp tip on his pointed ear showing through the blue-black hair that fell to the middle of his back in tendrils many a woman and man would love to run their hands through. He chuckled a deep sound that called to mind rolling thundered and pulsing drums. Of dark nights and the mysteries they held. "You will serve within my hall, little mortal. It has been some time since I have been amused." He glanced over at the Collector, who merely bowed.

"As the Lord of Darkness and UnSeelie wishes. So shall it be." The gravely voice answered. The Ruler of the Seelie huffed in annoyance at the fact they had been ignored and their apparent 'lover' had taken more interest in a mortal girl. Rather than his equal and the most lovely of the Fae. But mortals had short lives, even in the Fae Realm. She would perish and Falk would grow bored. She/He gestured and proclaimed as if to out-do the Lord of Fall. "Then I want the pretty boy who keeps bowing and then you can have all your women!" She/He gave Falk a annoyed look. Daring him to accept the proposition that he was possibly making a harem.

Which he was most certainly not. Falk's answering grin showed far too many teeth and was something out of nightmares indeed! "Then I shall indeed accept your proposition, King Yggdrasil." That proceeded to stiffen the spine of the wooden dryad. Their eyes glowing in annoyance at this turn of events.

Raposo~Yin

Yin heard the comment. Oh did he hear that comment from the waif. His mouth twitched with anticipation of how he would enjoy infiltrating her mind when she slept. For while he was fine with comments toward him, comments toward his lord were just...not acceptable. His attention soon pulled by a certain woman calling him....sir....fox....guy?? He spun on his heel and made his way to that human. He appeared very much fae at the moment, but those amber eyes were flashing with something very feral...and very much sinister. "Human....what did you just call me" He moved and picked her up before moving her into the group that held yusuke annoyance etched over his features as he then proceeded to drop her on the ground.

Before yin could further comment, there was a certain sound that froze him in place. Yin had his face mostly away from most individuals, but yusuke could see it perfectly. As the hell hound appeared there was a stiffening of features. A very faint barely noticeable eye twitch that broke the features of the poker face. He took a second before he spun clasping his hands together with a form of elegance. Yin tilted his head at the hound.

"You have missed the lovely task of herding the humans." Yin gave a quirk of the brow as the hound caused the humans to have such a reaction. He huffed. He was far more impressive then some hound, but no he got barely a reaction from the creatures. His attention then went directly to the rulers.

Yin's mouth twitched as falk spoke back to the waif. A look of glee crossed his features at the chance to have that waif close. Close enough to ensure they became a good little waif. The tiff between the two rulers registered to him and he found himself wondering what would happen with all his hard sorting.

Yusuke

Yusuke was remaining silent. His attention going through his entire environment when there was barking. He found himself captivated by the sound and soon his mouth was open from what entered. It was a creature that held a presence. With quick movements his backpack was off and he was digging in it. Soon he had his sketch book out and he was soon sketching the entirety of the scene unfolding before him. Quick movements resulting in lines that brought the scene to paper.

Yusuke paused as he nuked the small reaction from the kitsune. He made sure to sketch it in detail along with the two rulers. As soon as the lines were done he was adding soft colors with his pencils moving at a speed that could not be accomplished by many a human. He was so engrossed in the image he was creating that he barely noticed the seelie ruler speaking about him. Pencil froze and his eyes grew large. His voice was soft. "Thank you M'lady" The best way to survive was to be respectful...right? Hopefully being this respectful wouldn't go back and bite him later.

Yusuke looked back at the image and lightly added more colors to the scene and deepened the shading the wolf before putting the pencils away and breathing over the image. Loose color shot off of the picture before he was satisfied with it. He nodded and went to shut the book.

There was a tension brewing between the he-she and the king. Were they a couple? The he-she certainly acted like it. The king however seemed indifferent to their flirtations, even teasing them.
The king claimed one of the mouthy girls. Was she to be a plaything, a bedmate, an object to torture or a meal? Elsa didn't know and wasn't sure she wanted to.
Having an attitude may have made the woman feel like she had some kind of control of the situation, but all she was doing was putting a target on her head. None of them had control anymore. Perhaps it was easier for Elsa to accept because she was used to not having control of her own life. Until she had gotten away from her foster parents Elsa had never known what freedom was like. It seemed that brief taste had been all she was destined to receive.

Her logical mind made plans. She would have to make herself useful if she wanted to survive. Make them want to keep her alive, keep her unharmed. Make them feel she would be worth more to them in one piece, as opposed to several.
Since standing silently hoping to blend in to the floor wasn't getting her anywhere, Elsa took a deep breath and stepped slightly forward. Not enough to look like she was attempting to escape but enough to set herself apart.

"With a due respect," she said, her calm voice not matching the anxiety in her eyes. "Forgive me if I give any offense. It is not intentional. But could someone, please, explain to us what is going to happen now? What is it you expect of us? I realize we are not in control here and I accept that. I would like to know how to earn my way to the best position for survival."

"Hmph, frigid bitch is already kissing their asses."
"Trying to suck up and get a good place."
"Slut is probably hoping to get into someone's bed."
"Coward isn't even going to fight. Just roll over like a dog."

The whispers from the humans behind her didn't faze her. She'd heard much worse. Elsa's spine stiffened. Let them call her whatever they wanted. The best revenge she could have would be to outlive them. If she was to be reduced to a pet so be it. But she swore to herself she would not stay in that position for long. Pride only served the living.

Bodil Bera

Bodil balked at the girl who was trying to become friends with the hideous beast of a fox man. Certainly she had hit her head! Who so ever would wish to befriend such a revolting creature! The thin dark haired girl, round eyes in a seemingly up breakable glower, looked surprise. Her pale features with their rosy cheeks like an olden picture pursed their lips and grew eyes as large as saucers. Idiot! Do not try to befriend those without hearts or souls! If wishes could turn to curses from these creatures, what could offers of pure friendship do?!

The dark haired firebrand returned to a dour glower. Spring Queen, Falcon King, beast-man, then... A ghoul of a man who turned from wolf-beast to something of a human farce. More beast creatures! Bodil gagged. Hideous, revolting thing that turned her cold inside and out. She averted her eyes, clenching them shut at the grotesque sight. Apparently two beast creatures was too taxing to her... Her childhood fears were real! Hainously real! The pale young woman was waxen, but stubbornly opened her eyes to glower at anything before her.

A creature of smoke and decay, this wraith of a beast-male, but at least he had the common decency to keep his more animalistic features under glamors or whatever magic these nightmares used to hide their true ugliness. Her grandmother had told her many chilling stories of the beast men. Superstitions always had a grain of truth. But this... This was all true. Hideously true. Her own childhood terrors were flesh and blood! Bodil bit back bile that grew in her mouth like acid in rainwater.

This new horror did not transform smoothly as the others had, but bent his own bones to form a humanoid body. Most likely to rise ire and fear in the mortal humans like her and the other captives. She grit her teeth and her pretty petite features twisted in a stubborn snarl. Bodil might hide her shaking and trembling by gripping painfully to her own shackles, but she would not show weakness to these nightmares or their kin! She spit at her feet in the direction of the wolf-beast male just as she had with that grotesque fox-male. Let him know exactly what she thought!

The king-queen of laughter seemed to suddenly focus a type of venom on her. And all due to that bird-brained monarch with the autumn wind voice. "Serve?! Serve you?!" Bodil let out a howl of her own, startling noise from one so sparrowy and delicate looking, "I am not a slave!" She kicked her foot out with a vicious power from such a slender build. "I do not serve beasts or nightmares! Least of all some Falcon King and his beast-men court!"

The Falcon King mocked her and she flushed with either anger or embarrassment. She violently pulled on her own restraints and her ice-colored eyes glared at the fowl King. "No shape would suit you or this court of hideous creatures," she hissed as if casting a curse, "You nightmares hide true hideous nature behind magic, but you can never hide all of your disgusting features, no matter your shape!" Eyes like blades sliced from the fox to the wolf. "Beasts with 'no humanity, who only masquarade as mortals with envy for life they will never have!' " Bodil quote the line from her grandmother and sneered before closing her eyes and tilting her chin up, as if snubbing all of them.

Her grandmother's word echoed in the rafters, even if more than a few humans were confused. But the young woman who had once been of a highly superstitious family, with its own names for these fae, said her last piece. She belong to no one. And this so-called king better know what he was dealing with. Bodil bowed to no one. And certainly not any beast-man nightmare monarch or his snarling underlings! No matter how beautiful a visage these creatures dressed themselves with, Bodil believed them all ugly and writhing with hideousness that couldn't be bared in any fair light. It was why they hid in shadows and other forms. Not even the sun would look on them.

So the cowardly creatures hid behind glamors, like vampires in their coffins or a werewolf in its man-flesh. The Collector might deem her as a possession to this Falcon King, but Bodil was not one to be cowed. When she opened her eyes, her familiar cold cowl of fury masked her fair features. The dollish young woman glared with the wrath of storm brewing behind her pale eyes. The queen-king apparently claimed the well mannered man. So it was all a game between feuding lovers? She was not surprised, but this Falcon should be. For he would find her a most unruly pawn on his chess board. And rebellious pieces could always lead to the loss of any well-practiced game. The King's smile at the queen-king made her flinch, but she covered it with a glower out to one of the frost covered windows.

No one ruled over her. No one would play with her. No one would use her as a pawn.

And no matter how much her white-knuckled hands shook, she was not afraid.

Never afraid, you hear?!

General Kaeleer Savant

Herding the Humans? Bah, that wasn't entertaining as it was more of a redundant task needed to be dealt with. Let the Kitsune handle that he thought to himself as he remained knelt. When the Lady Spring absolved him of his transgression he rose to his feet, back into his more militaristic stance. His head held high, his chest out and his feet slightly spread. Shifting on his heels he turned towards the Kitsune but not before taking notice to the young male human who was frantically writing on a sheet of paper. His eyes squinted slightly as his head cocked to the side in intrigue. He went to ask the human a question about what he was doing until another one stood up, attempting to show any remote sign of respect that the others didn't and when he heard those behind spouting hatred towards the female he let out another demonic bark, causing them to flinch. His teeth bore the bloody fangs he entered with, another freighting sight. He returned his attention to her and crossed his arms.

"What is your name huma-"

"Serve?! Serve you?! I am not a slave! I do not serve beasts or nightmares! Least of all some Falcon King and his beast-men court! No shape would suit you or this court of hideous creatures! You nightmares hide true hideous nature behind magic, but you can never hide all of your disgusting features, no matter your shape! Beasts with 'no humanity, who only masquarade as mortals with envy for life they will never have!"

That is when he heard the shackled woman speak venomous hatred towards the fey with such disrespect and ferocity. Her voice unyielding towards them, no mercy in her tone and certainly no remorse. Humans, such fickle creatures, trying to justify their petty beliefs of freedom in a situation where they have no say, no power, nothing but what they wear and the few belongings that they brought with them. As amusing as it was watching one of these mortal creatures protest, amongst fey their words were seen as rude and unbecoming of servants. Their harsh statements would be reciprocated with sever punishment, but how? Quickly he leaned forward towards her direction and sniffed the cool air...His eyes glowed a dim gold as a light smirk etched his face. An aura akin to the Fall King's own burst forth filling the air with killer intent. He slowly walked towards her as his hand went to unsheathe Raven's edge. He spoke to his King in their native Fey tongue.

"My Lord if I may be so bold. This human does not fully grasp the situation at hand and blurts out vile towards you and your Grace. Allow me to absolve her of her transgressions but in a different method than usual. I believe amongst us we have a fellow Fall courtsmen who had missed the hunt, yes?

His eyes glanced over towards Yin with a nod before turning back to his king, his blade raised at the chained female and despite the swords tip next to her neck he still held distance between her. The sheer size of Raven's Edge on the battlefield was enough to cause unease and left a few of the human's surprised by his simple feat of strength, assuming the blade itself weighed a bit but neigh, not in his hands. He spoke up again in Fey.

"I request we give Yin a taste of what he had missed in the hopes that he will join us in the next Wylde Hunt."

He bowed low and awaited his Lord's answer. It would be an odd request but his request had purpose. It was to insure this poor human that she, in fact, had no say in what was to become of her. That she was in fact at the mercy of supposed beast-men. Secondly, it was to entertain Yin in the hopes that he could, for at least 7 dusk days, enjoy undisturbed rest and relaxation. Faulk had known the wolf well enough to understand what he planned and what the intent was and with that he simply awaited permission. Once accepted, he looked back towards the female.

"You speak of us as monsters, beasts, hideous creatures of nightmares and myths. You ae so confident in what you say that you are oblivious to what betrays you..."

His facial features flickered inbetween fey and ultar for only a moment. His true voice resonated against her body, nashing at her soul with his golden eyes hungering for a chase.

"You reek of fear..."

He leaned back and sighed.

"So. You wish not be under the servitude of our Lord of Fall nor Lady of Spring. Then so be it..."

In swift action that would seem to strike her true, the chains fell loose and she was no longer bound. He sheathed his deadly iron and tilted his head to the side.

"Go. Here is your chance to have your petty freedom. But take heed human. Your freedom lasts as long the gathering does. So go, run, hide, stay...I care not. In the end, you are ours...dead, or alive."

The tone in his voice held ice and steel as his gaze seemed to pierce through her to the ground behind. Kaeleer took a step back and with grandiose to his gesture, showed her the exit from the gathering. He would wait until she ran out of sight before turning back to Yin, speaking to him once again in Fey.

"When the gathering draws to a close return her."

He stated as he began his stride around the other humans before stopping and turning his gaze towards the Kitsune.

"Alive...And intact. Else you feel my wrath...Or Faulks..."

He snarled slightly before returning his attention to the other humans, studying them to see who was fit for his servitude. The male, the male who frantically moved about on his paper. His attention was brought back to him and soon Kaeleer was knelt down next to him.

"When I had entered into the Gathering you did not flinch nor show fear. I congratulate you for your bravery. What is your name boy? And what is it that you drew?"

He would wait for the boy's responses before standing up and nodding. His attention turned towards Faulk in Fey.

"My Lord I wish for this one to come with me. He is interesting and I wish to learn more from him."

Melinda L. Holstead

Melinda had a slight hint of fear within her heart when she figured out what was going on. She had never been prepared for this type of torment this only happened when the man with those piercing eyes came into view. She had a grimace on her face, however, she hadn’t expect what would come next. ”What… the? This is definitely not like my fantasy animes… I so enjoy watching,” Melinda thought to herself. She had never really felt this type of fear before, it is different and unique to what is going on.

Melinda looked at the two people talking as if they were the masters of this domain or at least apart of it. She couldn’t really fathom what they were talking about but the only distinct thing that came to her was they were terrifying. She looked up when sir fox walked over to her and picked her up and she wasn’t ready for the strength that fox had. ”I’m sorry Sir Fox. I didn’t mean any disrespect to you,” Melinda said, to Yin with respect and kindness in her voice. She was put down on the ground by Yin by a male human who was drawing. She smiled at this single thing she had never really seen an artist at work before.

Melinda looked around and noticed a human woman screaming about not wanting to be a slave. She remembered she had no real choice in the matter because of the CEO of her family’s corporation wanted more power. She looked directly down at the ground in disgust that another human would dare defy the new masters of their reality. ”I was told to never outburst like that in that angry of a tone or I would get grounded,” Melinda thought to herself, a bit jittery at the fact that woman outbursts so loudly. She looked up for awhile and did felt dread overwhelming her, while looking directly at the hell hound, who looked a bit angrier than normal.

Melinda had showed more emotions now than she has ever in her life because she had a happy life with her parents until that was taken from her. She had tears going down her face and couldn’t help to cry. She only ever cries truly when she’s tired of putting up a facade and right now these tears were definitely truthful. She had never felt this way in a long time, she always had her parents to give her literally everything and without them she is lost. Her instincts came into play and went directly for her purse even though her hands were bound and slowly opened it up. She wanted her fox plushie* badly it is her calming tool and got it out slowly and gently. She was able to shut the purse at the same time holding her fox plushie with her other hand. She was flexible enough to do this even bound. ”Please help me calm down… Foxy,” Melinda thought to herself, while looking at the fox plushie and crying still.

Melinda held gently but tightly enough so her fox plushie wouldn’t fall on the ground. She couldn’t stop but crying. She had no recourse because she wanted to stay here. ”I don’t really mind being a slave to anyone who wants me,” Melinda said, teary eyed and had a strong sense of common sense. Her eyes had a fiery passion within them, showing that she will be the best slave anyone had even if she hasn’t really anything to offer them except for her body, really. She was glancing down at her fox plushie and holding it tightly and she was grateful she never leaves home without it. ”Mom… Dad… I hope you are in a better place than the people who murdered you will go,” Melinda thought to herself, with a gentle smile on her face hopeful that is true.
