But finally I've finished my sheets, they look awful but there ya go. -clears throat- Now that those are off my plate, I can work on getting a post, probably at some point tomorrow. I also have a group post to do as well and I wanna try and time my replies so no one posts right before I go because then it'll bug me for two weeks. -laughs-

And awww yeah no Uhura. :/ But we've got such a big cast that OCs and new/side roles (like Guinan and Uhura) aren't needed as much in terms of being on the banner. No worries! I probably won't tweak with it. If I do anything, I may make phase banners for us or something like that. We gotta have spiffy episode titles or something right?

Since Data does seem perceptive he and my Betazoid (Nex) may notice the lack of well emotion coming from Rommoe. I think if they notice they probably wouldn't say anything at first and sort of wait. Unless you're thinking it would be unnoticed for a while. I think otherwise the rest of my characters (except for maybe Guinan?) wouldn't really be able to tell a difference between Rommie and a human just due to how she's designed. To them androids aren't that far yet and it'll be pretty amazing to see how another universe had made such progress with so many things.

As much as I love Uhura I used the younger version from Kelvin (if that's okay!) so I doubt she'd interest him much. I did make a male and female OC, the guy more akin to your OC Ensign and my female, my Betazoid to replace Troi. -shudders-

And the concise summary works for me! It almost sounds like that announcer guy from DBZ.

The lack of emotion could be tied to making thinking she's Vulcan (unless of course the lack of knowledge she has initially on Vulcan and the Federation could feature that). Given enough time alone with the computer, she'd probably get caught up to speed fairly quickly - quicker. Though it would be very frustrating as she has instant access with herself on the Andromeda and would have to 'pour' over pages on the Enterprise. lol
But Nex will pick up not just a lack of well emotion but anything. Rommie will be completely unreadable - based off Betazoid capabilities. I'm thinking what we might do - is the initial meeting, Rommie doesn't give it away. But upon meeting Data she will be intrigued (remember androids are either a lot less sophisticated - like robots - or avatar units for ship AIs). The fact that Data is neither will intrigue her. That might not give her away but might make notice (especially when Data picks up other things - the lack of emotion, the logical aspect, the fact only ONE life sign was picked up). Then of course when Nex meets her and doesn't pick up anything from her. That might raise flags as well.
Then (either before they tell the captain or after) when Rommie is able to not only pinpoint their exact location but able to direct them with seeming ease - they probably figure it out.
And of course Guinan has her own special sixth sense - so she probably not only figures out Rommie but realizes that they belong to this universe.
Now THAT would be a fun conversation. Guinan catching Rommie (and maybe Gaheris) and saying that and their shock that she knows (Rommie will probably pick it up fairly quickly - "Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth")
But yeah - I don't think I want to keep it secret long. It might not even last the day. We'll see. :)

Oh btw: Gaheris' bone spikes are folded in slightly -the picture has them fully out. In passive mode they are bent in slightly, visible and could be dangerous but not as easy to get hurt by them.

Correct. I'm not sure how many people are familiar with the 1978/1980 original version of Battlestar Galactica. The reboot has a large following, though personally I couldn't really get past the first episode or two I believe (not after the original. lol).

I heard the ending of the reboot of BSG was...a bit unwelcomed. I wish I didn't know that when I'm halfway through but oh well. I also may have spoiled myself in regards to two characters who may or may not be cylons. Which sucks. I shouldn't have Googled until I was done with the show in its entirety. But the first episode was tough to get through. Hell overall it just threw you into the chaos without even explaining what was going on and you didn't get questions answered until later, in snippets.

That said, it's interesting (a bit too political for me though) and I look forward to seeing its conclusion. I guess it shows that things have been rebooted for ages (Doctor Who for example) and it's not just a current trend we're seeing in movies these days.

And yeah, time is fucking scary the way it just flies on by. I still don't feel like I've aged much at all. :/

And don't worry, I'm getting something up shortly. Let me know if I make anything a bit questionable with handling Rommie and Gaheris but considering the TNG crew are also being introduced to them, it kinda helps. -laughs- But god, if I might not crave BSG now...even if the plot makes me uber paranoid and a bit annoyed cause not everyone can be a fucking cylon. Yeah, Hollywood is notorious for reboots. It's like they don't have any imagination. OR they try to take something that was done before, use the name and do their own take or storyline on it.
But yeah... I won't rant lol

And yeah. I haven't seen but my sister watched it through (I believe). I heard it got a bit soap opera-like.

I think if she's free, Picard would have Nex come in. They don't know who these people are and it would be good to get her judgement. But I don't see why anyone else would be there. Not yet.

If you want you can have Riker or Nex ask a couple questions as well.
I didn't want to write a novel (lol) with just Picard asking - at least not without giving you a chance to get a word in edgewise ;)

So the more I watch Andromeda Ascendant and get reminded of it - the more I believe Rommie is not completely emotionless.
She's programmed with emotion, yes, but she's also AI so she actually knows a bit when to use it and such.
And can love, get attached (there's a scene she's upset they're selling some china lol), etc.

Data will be jealous.
However, she argues that it is a programming aspect that she has. So personally I don't think she sees it as anything other than that. Just like a ship is built with point defense, doesn't mean anything. She looks human but it's all for the purpose of the crew.

But in a lot of ways she is logical. And emotion is something that shouldn't be as controlling or rule her (in her opinion - something I think the ship AI and Android 'discuss'. Haven't run across that. Probably in an upcoming episode - maybe even Starcrossed (the episode Rommie falls in love).
