Ok, we have a bit of an issue here. I will voice my opinion on it, but will allow those involved to resolve it. I am growing tired of plotting things out only to be left hanging. Or, being intrusive of other previous plans discussed with others. I believe the conflict of interest dneeds no explaining, but in case it does, I will clue you in that it involves Celeste. At this point, I am on the males side of things.
On a side note, me included, please do not try to play more characters than you are capable of. Myself, I love my characters and I find myself at a crossroads, actually considering killing one off whom I live to write. If you are unable to commit, please refrain from setting up plotlines.
I’ve been trying my best to maintain the plots I have in place. Sorry that I’m not posting with the regularity desired but I’ve recently gone from shipping in 4 months to shipping in 3 weeks, so needless to say my focus has been elsewhere. I’ve been working on a post for Eliza but due to my hectic schedule and total mental drain as of late my posts are taking a lot longer to get out than I’d like them to.
I'm sorry to hear that Priz, that is horrible. I just wished there was a little more communication was all. I understand real life takes presidence, I jist acwuired the ex's house and responsibility for everything. I am clrabing and preparing to sell the house to get the kids money back to them, dealing with finding a home for 2 dogs, and explaining to the kids why they won't be seeing their parent fir over a year. That's why I've been slow to post also as of late.
I’m still on discord even though I’m not in the chat anymore. So you can get ahold of me through a PM on there, as well as on here. I would’ve reached out and said something but during these last two weeks it was honestly the last thing on my mind.
Skills: Proselytizing the word of Atom, radiation manipulation, subterfuge
Personality: At first glance, he appears to be nothing more than a deformed, hunched over mutant, and gives off a frightful presence. However, when required he can whip himself into a frenzy of oration that can inspire even the most doubtful of Atom’s servants to throw down their lives for their new god.
Zealous and utterly convinced of Atom’s truth, he is half-crazed but also deeply intelligent when it comes to the skillful use of Atom’s gifts.
Weapons & armor/clothing: Wears a long sickly green tattered robe embroidered with various intricate designs sacred to the Church of Atom and which keeps most of his body covered. Where his skin and body does shows through the torn fabric, it can be seen to be covered in a variety of pustules, sores, lesions, and necrotic flesh. His face is partly obscured by both his hood, and bandages wrapped around his face, but his eyes are still visible and glow an unearthly green. He wears an old leather belt around his waist attached to which is a variety of bottles filled with glowing green liquid, along with various alchemical substances and poisons sacred to the Children of Atom. He also carries with him a well-worn bound book that is secured tightly to his side at all times. The book, supposedly, contains visions and insights from Atom himself.
He also has with him a medium-size staff which serves as both a walking stick, a weapon, and a religious instrument. Attached firmly to the top end of the staff by a metal chain is a spiked censer which encases a highly radioactive rock that is believed to have fallen from the sky as a gift from Atom himself. Zhelk uses this as a flail-like weapon to attack enemies and the radiation it emits, which is quite potent, more often than not is enough to make them succumb. Those that bear Atom’s gift and are immune, however, would be unaffected: which is where the large metal spikes come in.
Occupation(s): Wandering Atomic Monk, and Prophet of Atom
Faction: Chuch of The Children of Atom
Backstory: Zhelk was originally known by another name, and was once a young impudent wastelander who happened upon the first of Atom’s worshippers, long before even the city of Megaton was constructed. He was at first, of course, highly skeptical of the cult and its practices and even outright dismissive. After unknowingly drinking highly contaminated water, he was shown a series of lucid visions so potent and so impossible to explain that it was utterly impossible for him to deny the reality of Atom any longer. He threw himself wholeheartedly into his new faith, and his piety and zealotry outshone even many of his fellow brothers and sisters in the church.
Eventually, he was forced to leave due to his...unnatural worship practices, most of which even his fellow Children of Atom thought too extreme. These included refusing to bathe in anything but the most putrid irradiated water and regularly scrubbing himself with pollutants, radioactive substances, and all manner of foul concoctions in hope of gaining favor with Atom. He was not born with an immunity to radiation, and his body swiftly began showing signs of decay and unnatural sickness. However, despite constantly appearing as if he was at death’s door, he never died, and indeed eventually began to thrive off the substances he regularly imbued, which made him all the more convinced that Atom had looked on him with favor. He has now crossed the line and become something not wholly human, but also not entirely inhuman either. He is not quite a ghoul, but is almost certainly a form of one. Ferals he has encountered do not attack him, and indeed he has found that like many of the so-called “Glowing Ones” he too can manipulate and use radiation as both a source of healing, and to call down upon his enemies. Where he trods, Atom's glow follows and he is almost a living conduit of radioactivity.
Since his conversion, Zhelk has wandered the wasteland spreading the word of Atom and has become something of a legend within the Children of Atom. Some have heard of the “Wandering Radiation Monk” and welcome him with open arms as a prophet and great holy man, others fear and shun him thinking he is some kind of demon. It doesn’t matter to him either way however, he knows the truth of Atom. He has seen his holy light, and felt his presence. There can be no doubt: Atom is the one true god of this world, and all must serve him.
Skills: Armorer, Heavy Gunner, Survival, Animal Friend, Repair, Energy Weapons.
Physical Description: Gorge stands about 9’8” and weighs nearly 772 Lbs. his skin is an olive drab color with splotches of grey across his chest. His body, like all super mutants, is mostly muscle with 75% of his body weight being muscle, 10% bone and soft tissue, and 5% fat. He has no hair and his eyes are grey in color. His skin is rough with wrinkles that cover most of his body and calluses that linger on his hands and feet. His voice can be a bit dry but due to his rather high intelligence, he does have a good vocabulary that seems to surprise the citizens of the common wealth. It should also be noted he has a branding on his right shoulder of the BOS symbol with a few numbers listed below it that are his serial number of sorts.
Note: this picture is similar to him... and is a bit bigger than I thought.
Personality: Gorge can be a bit brash towards others as well as blunt. He doesn’t beat around the bush and likes to get straight to the point. He understands that due to what he is, most if not all others are untrustworthy if not straight out hostile towards him, but does want to make friends occasionally. He prefers the company of ghouls who like him won’t die of old age as far as he knows and they like radiation like he does. He also tries to be approachable even through being intimidating, most people here in the common wealth aren’t used to a smart Super mutant and he does like to share his stories from time to time.
Weapons & armor/clothing: - He wears what looks to be a modified brother hood of steel’s standard knight’s grey and black T-60 power armor that covers most of his body and his head without blocking his senses, its modified to be a bit larger to fit him. The armor does have a compass, Geiger counter, a red head lamp, a radio communicator, and it uses small fusion cells to power them. He cannot take all of it off or put all of it on without help. It has been modified to slowly adjust to his growth for a number of years still to come. Although his skin does show through some gaps in the armor, he usually wears a cloak that covers most of the exposed skin. He has noted that most other people seem to think his modified large armor is either very new or very old depending on the person. - He carries a modified laser rifle that allows him to wield it like a pistol. Not very accurate but he makes do with it. - Gorge also favors heavy weapons like his main weapon, a modified Gatling laser. Mods include Beam Focuser, Boosted gamma wave emitter, large grip and trigger, and extra ammo storage for easier reloads. - When it comes to Melee, he prefers to simply use his armored fists and increased strength.
(Previous) Occupation(s): Captain in “The Masters Army” / Shock Trooper in the Brotherhood of Steel – Rank: Knight Captain / Caravan Guard / Wanderer
Faction: Formerly - the Master’s army - BOS / Currently – Looking For Group
Backstory: Gorge like other super mutants, doesn’t know who he was before his change, all he can remember is the pain. He was turned in 2163 and added to the ranks of the master’s army in California. During his time with them, the master realized that Gorge’s intelligence had not suffered like most of the others and in some aspects seemed to increase slightly. He was with them for some time before realizing what the master’s plan was. It bothered him for some time before he told the others he was going on a long range patrol looking for far away vaults with a group of others who felt the same.
He did receive one thing from the master he is thankful for, he was given a shot of a strange liquid the master said was experimental. The shot made him sick with extreme pain for many months after but didn’t kill him and after it was done he no longer felt the constant pain that the others felt. A pain that was accused of causing older mutants to become insane. It did not take him long to figure out the drug had extreme side effects as many of the others that were given it either experienced no change, or experienced extreme pain to the point of near instantaneous insanity.
So along with himself and the other mutants that chose to come along they set out east. It turned out to be a good idea, after a few years of slow travel they happened upon a group of Brotherhood of Steel soldiers. These soldiers engaged them and seemed to be impressed when they showed tactics and strategies that far surpassed the other super mutants they have encountered. After a tense cease fire the brotherhood of steel and his group of super mutants came to an agreement and where all drafted into the brotherhood of steel as shock troopers.
Most of the enemy’s he encountered in these trying times were robots or raiders. His squad was tasked with search and destroy missions, given a single point of reference and leaving for weeks at a time to destroy or capture specific objectives, locations, resources, or even people. This job was fun until it wasn’t. They were given an objective to collect an old world artillery piece for an airship only to find it gone by the time they got there and were subsequently ambushed. Gorge was the only one to make it out of the ambush and proceeded back to base with a failed mission.
However, when he got back to base it was deserted. Strewn bodies on the ground and weapon scorched walls of the camp where the first bad signs of what was to come. It only took him a little longer to figure out that he was alone, the base was abandoned, all radio channels were down or not talking, and he did not have the slightest idea of where they would have gone. He stayed there, at that place for a little while longer, gathering supplies and repairing his armor, clinging to the hope that someone would return like he did and he wouldn’t have to be alone. But alas, no one came other than the occasional scavenger.
So Gorge left, taking what supplies he would need and headed south. He was alone, this was not the first experience of this but the first in a long time. He hated it, constantly on the lookout, being chased and tracked by all manner of creatures that at the very least left him alone after seeing what he was, except death claws. In turn, he also hunted down a few raider camps and other lawless people, at least the brotherhood instilled some sense of justice in him. Stopping occasionally at settlements to trade, acquire maps, local knowledge, and the odd contract to clear out raiders or wildlife from certain areas or important structures for caps. He rarely took off his armor when at such places, brushing off questions with the explanation of a knight that got a little lost.
He did this for a few seasons, wandering the waste lands and helping out where he could but never feeling comfortable staying anywhere for too long. And on one stormy night near what once was Atlanta, he happened upon a fire fight. Raiders were attacking a caravan and seemed to be winning. It did not take him long to step up and take a good position killing off most of the raiders in a surprise attack, the rest fled a short time later with the unexpected surprise ruining their ambush. Gorge checked on the survivors and when he was sure they were all right he proceeded to leave before a raspy voice offered to pay him to stay. A ghoul named Harold offered him a job and a place among the others in the caravan, with most of their guards being killed and Gorge not really having anything else to do, he accepted. He traveled with them for many seasons, a rather rag tag group really. A few ghouls, a couple way ward slaves with broken collars, a few humans from all walks of life, and now a super mutant in Brotherhood of steel armor.
Everything went rather smoothly for a while, the caravan he was with prospered from better protection and intimidation for better prices. Gorge seemed to have finally found another group he was comfortable with and was glad to have some friends again. But a lesson he learned long ago was about to repeat itself, nothing lasts forever. They found themselves wandering through the common wealth on their way south to diamond city when yet again they were ambushed. This time it was different, this time they were super mutants. He was doing a good job at holding off the hounds and other mutants that charged forward. That was until one of them got a lucky rocket off that blew up a car next to him. The explosion pushed him back into a wall and the small two story building collapsed on him.
Other: He still has his holo-tag from the BOS and he can play the guitar and sing rather well... for a super mutant. However, he has to make his own guitar usually due to the size of his hands.
I'd like everyone to meet Gorge, he's just another friendly neighborhood super mutant.
I'm still here :D hopefully should post this afternoon.
.... also is there a gate or some kind of wall around the town?
Rook (the super mutant) is building an wall but isn't not finished yet. (probably about an quarter built?) the gate also hasn't been built but it's location on the main road was marked up.
