Lyanna Luthor as she stared dispassionately at her tutor as her 'father' would have the best for her even though she was a genius and had a couple medical and scientific masters degrees.
"Stop day dreaming Miss Luthor" Lyanna's current tutor says as seeing her dispassionate gaze.
"Then teach me something I've not learned already" Lyanna says as she stands up and leaves leaving her tutor to sputter at his charge leaving in the middle of their tutoring session.
"Stupidd 'father' always hiring people who won't teach me what I don't already know and they wonder why I don't pay attention to their lessons" Lyanna says to herself as she puts on a coat and takes a umbrella with her as she leaves the penthouse suite she or rather her 'father' owns due to Lyanna wanting to be away from her 'father' as much as possible meaning the penthouse that her 'father' rarely uses outside of the times he's needed to be near LEXCORP for something important.
"I hope it doesn't rain" Lyanna says to herself as she checked her umbrella was ready to open on a moments notice should it indeed start raining.

Neko had spent three weeks watching the River Street Rats a gang that dealt in drugs and extortion in a Neighborhood that as many had been crushed by the vagaries of economy and isolated by a department of police that saw everyone that lived there a criminal. The honest people of the area were at the mercy of their tormentors and those who were supposed to protect them and they had begun to lose hope that anyone would come and save them; that wasn’t why she was here.

Neko cultivated a Robin Hood persona as protection for herself and her activities; she was a hunter and the gang her prey. Her primary target was the stacks of cash the gang had mounted in great piles in the central hideout. Sure in the same old industrial building were the drugs they sold and the weapons they used but that didn’t interest her as much as the cash which she had plans for already.

She had set up a hidden camera network of 50 that would begin streaming the second she began her assault and the evidence they had collected over the time period of observation sent to the police to ease conviction of the gang she would leave bound and bruised. This wasn’t because she cared if they were ever convicted but as camouflage for her true purposes, the cash.

The rain was perfect because it collected her targets and lookouts indoors where they wouldn’t have a chance seeing her approach and only react to her direct presence which for humans was too late.

She entered through a window she had already prepared for silent entry when she had slipped into their hideout to plant her cameras. Neko had learned from those who hunted her how important preparation was and while to outsiders her attacks seemed reckless were as calculated as any assault by elite government troops and as brutal. She had learned from them the theory of shock and awe and had perfected it for a solo attacker, her weapons 2 HDP rods 2 ½ foot long silent and flexible and she didn’t give anyone the chance to draw a gun knowing the first shot would warn the others.

23 men who had once been the terror of River street were soon moaning or unconscious in the building when the police finally responded to the scenes she’d broadcast. They were bound foot and hands with tape covering their mouths and in their once bulging cash room remained only 32% of the cash it had contained to give the police some as evidence Neko having taken the rest so that she could help the worst hit among their victims by distribution of 28% of it leaving her a sweet 40% or 1.2 million for her own.

Drake walked out of the small coffee shop he always went to in the morning. He held the door open for a few college kids as he shuffled through his iPod for the song. He sipped at his coffee before he let the door close and walked back home. He had the day off from his job and was going to see if he could find a few crimes to stop. Nothing too big, just something small that would help him get the hang of being a hero. His phone buzzed and he quickly took it out to see the news article about a gang being busted by the police.

“Nice. Looks like someone else is going the hero route as well,” Drake said before he took another sip from his coffee before he put his phone back into his pocket, found the song he wanted, placed his headphones over his ears and started home to come up with a plan. The rain feels so nice today. A feminine voice said in Drake’s mind.

Speak for yourself! Another voice argued before it added, its way to damp and cold. I’d prefer a summers day over this. Please do not argue, we do not control the weather here. A third voice stated before it apologized, I’m sorry for those two, they don’t know how troublesome it is to have multiple voices in one’s mind.

“No worries, I’ve gotten used to it,” Drake admitted in his Styrofoam cup as he took another sip of his coffee. He made sure no one was around when he said this. To be fair: it was still a little weird to hear the spirits of the four dragons from his talisman in his mind, but he saw them as friends rather than burdens. Sure their arguing and bickering might cause him to have a headache now and again, but it was entertainment to him to think of mythical creatures arguing like children. What is that wonderful aroma Mr. Sydell? A fourth voice asked politely.

“Just drake is fine,” Drake said before he added, “its caramel drizzle. It’s one of my favorite flavors.” He took another sip and let out a satisfied sigh. That girl in that place seems to know your favorites. The second voice interjected with a laugh. Oh please, she was being nice. The first voice protested before it added, she’s too uppity for Drake anyway

“And here we go again,” Drake sighed before he finished off his coffee and dumped it into a trash can before continuing home. It’s going to be a long day. Drake thought as he shook his head.

Neko Activities had not gone completely unnoticed by the public, a young girl was watching the whole incident from her rooftop garden which had not been far from the base. Her parents had brought this area for her along time ago and she loved to tend to the flowers here, her mother when she had been alive had told her that that garden was the best place for her to connect with Kisumu the fox spirt who had inhabited her bloodline for many generations. Even though Sashia had not been part of that bloodline, her mother had treated her like her own daughter and after her death had asked Kisumu to look after Her.

The young girl chuckled to herself before she stood up and stretched out before she said "Hmm, I wonder what kind of person she is", She then heard some cry's and transformed into Her Kitsune form summon her visor to her face. She took out the men who had been trying to hurt the poor woman and left them for the police.

He is cleaning the knife he used to do the skinning of strips from her belly and buttocks treating it with what appears great reverence..he cut himself across his left thumb and he is angry with himself and tried to make sure to stop the bleeding but there. said Sydney pointing to a spot on the floor which still had dry blood on it.

He thinks he caught the blood before it fell to the cement but with so much of Mary’s blood already on the floor he missed it said the Goth girl as she finally stood from the Chair that Detective Sergeant Van had provided.

Outside the abandoned building he could hear his partner spitting now that he had emptied his stomach three hours into the Witness his Captain had set up with the odd girl who was the spookiest chick anyone had ever met. She had described into a recorder every cut, every word and action her rendition of Mary’s pleas for mercy and finally her own death with all the pain and volume she had managed as her killer did his grisly work. She had even somehow managed to sound like one of their prime suspects as she talked to Mary in a tone devoid of any human emotion which had chilled the senior detective in a way his 22 years on the force had never prepared him for.

Sydney did a little breathing exercise for a few second to anchor her senses in the here and now so she didn’t react to things from the past or miss things she should have seen in the present. It was a side effect of her power that happened when she was in Witness mode for more than 10 minutes.

She could see the older detective and hear his partner outside which his pale complexion told her she was likely in the now where she belonged and said to him

I hope the evidence I pointed out gives you his DNA so that you can bust his alibi by placing him here

That seemed to snap Van out of his waking nightmare and forced him to call back the CSI team and show them where he wanted them to take the sample which would of course help but all the observational evidence Sydney gave was insight invaluable into his suspect’s head and a wedge he could exploit to get a confession without having to reveal the unorthodox source.

After she bid the police farewell she went outside where her Red 280SL waited for her and climbed in and started the motor but didn’t put it into gear as she turned the car’s radio to a Spanish speaking station so it would engage her Omnilingualism and complete the clearing of the witness.

Lyanna let out a sigh as she herd a woman's screw followed by a a body hitting the ground and a woman running out of the alley in front of her causing Lyanna to blink and look down the alleyway to see the thugs knocked out and a woman with fox features who then left swiftly.
"troublesome" Lyanna says to herself and walks away wondering why ever time she takes time off for herself she always semi-runs into a hero or villain sure Lyanna didn't go out of her way to be a hero but she always did use her powers to save those who she came across that needed it.
"So many new heroes and villains popping up lately all over the world, I wonder what's causing it" Lyanna says to herself as due to having access to her father's computers has noticed the slowly increasing number of people with powers.

“Crap, Crap, Crap, CRAP!” Drake yelled as he ran through the burning warehouse. He slid under a support beam that fell and landed on top of a large machine. He quickly got back to his feet before another support beam fell and exposed the light from the outside. He looked around for a way out and changed directions to a large metal staircase leading towards a window that took up most of the wall. He placed his arms in front of his face and ran into the window. The glass shattered and he soared through the air before falling to the ground. He screamed as he flailed and grasped at the empty air before he yelled, “Cyclone!” the jewel in the dragon talisman around his neck changed to a lime green color before air came from the talisman and created dragon wings made of compressed air. They flapped and slowed his descent before he hit the ground and rolled away from the burning building. He took several deep breaths as the air flew back into the talisman. Once he was able to collect himself, he stood up and watched the warehouse burn. Well, that didn’t go as planned, a voice admitted.

“You think?!” Drake yelled. Before all this had happened he was on his way home when an alert popped into his phone. It was a report of possible illegal guns being shipped to one of the warehouses at the docks. He had installed the App to help find possible crimes and he figured this might be a good chance to train to be a proper hero. Unfortunately, it didn’t go as planned since the warehouse was now up in flames. Drake threw up his arms and ranted, “We were supposed to stop the traffic of illegal firearms and catch the bad guys, but instead: we set the damn place on fire, probably destroyed the evidence, and caused a massive amount of damage!” to anyone who might have seen him. Drake looked like he was arguing with himself.

To be fair: I gave you my power. You were the one who used fire in a wooden structure. The voice retorted. Yes, but you could have regulated how much power you gave Drake. a second, female voice pointed out. Where’s the fun in that? The first voice asked. Another support beam crashed within the warehouse and part of the roof caved in as the flames continued to rage. We can’t leave this place like this. The whole area is made of wood and will catch fire should the flames continue, a third voice pointed out.

“Cyclones right,” Drake said before the third voice said, Thank you. Drake sighed and added, “Aqua, we need to stop the flames before they spread.” Understood, just say the word and I’ll lend you my power the female voice said.

“Alright, let’s go,” Drake said before he yelled, “Aqua!” the jewel in the dragon talisman changed from lime green to crystal blue. Water rose up and shot towards Drake. It wrapped around his hands and arms to form gauntlets, around his feet and legs to form greaves and sabatons, his head to make a helm and finally water wrapped around his body and created dragon wings that extended from each shoulder blade. With one flap, the wings propelled Drake from the ground as water rose up with him. He controlled the water and had it spray onto the flames as white smoke exploded from the burning building.

Once the last bit of flames were extinguished he landed back down at the dock as the jewel changed to pure white and the water fell to the ground. Drake let out a sigh. You think anyone noticed the blaze? The first voice asked.

“I think the whole damn city saw it Inferno!” Drake yelled. I believe we should leave before we get into trouble. A fourth voice suggested. Drake nodded and agreed, “Your right Terra. Let the authorities handle the rest.” Drake looked around before he ran off in hopes no one saw his blunder.

Sydney parked her Mercedes in the Visitor’s lot of Metropolis University and as she got out of her car glanced over at the huge building of Star Labs and wondered what sort of things they might be involved in at the moment then dismissed the thought as none of her concern. She was here today at the request of Dr. Werner to decipher strange alien texts found in a dig conducted by the school in Central America.

They were suspected to not being of this earth or at least that’s what the schools antiquity department assumed and she was here to verify their findings and write for them a decipher key to be their Rosetta stone. She had done this little chore in several universities around the world; sometime they brought the articles here to her or flew her to them and this was local so no flying required.

She was met by the doctor and his eager staff then lead into a clean room where she had to wear a full body suit and surgical mask because the medium was a fragile form of paper which they were worried might degrade if they didn’t control the humidity and even light so she was required to do her reading in a dim light. She had experienced such problems before and knew she could work around it so she walked in and sat down with a smile.

She began by reading the parchment in it’s original language using a stylus

To indicate which symbols correspond with which sound which took her only a few minutes for each page then she began again in English in their phonetic order and finishing in what she called common

"Hail, you who carry away hearts! Hail, you who steal hearts, and who make the heart of a man to go through its transformations according to its deeds, let not what he has done harm him before you! Homage to you, O you lords of eternity, you possessors of ever lastingness, take you not this heart into your grasp, and cause you not words of evil to spring up against it; for it is the heart of the offering, and it belongs to him of many names, the mighty one whose words are his limbs, and who sends forth his heart to dwell in his body. The heart is triumphant, and it is made new before the gods: he has gained power over it, and he has not been judged according to what he has done. He has gotten power over his own members. His heart obeys him, he is the lord, it is in his body, and it shall never fall away therefrom. I, Manyhands, victorious in peace, and triumphant in the beautiful waters and on the mountain of eternity, bid you my heart to be obedient to me in the underworld." she read the first page

12 pages later the Doctor was beginning to be able to translate the texts on his own and his staff was beside themselves though she could see that one was still doubtful of her abilities and when she was younger she would have tried to convince the young woman but now more experienced she left the matter as it was and went to fetch a cup of coffee.

Thomas watched the clock eagerly, waiting for the bell to ring. "Come on..." His teachers tended to drone on and on about the particular subject, and typically half the class was asleep. Unless it was last period. Everyone was tapping their feet, tuning out the meaningless lecture of the professor. "Thomas?" Thomas looked towards the teacher. "Hm?" Someone in the back snickered. "What is Newton's second law, Thomas?" Thomas almost laughed. This guy's teaching beginner level stuff. "The acceleration of an object as produced by a net force is directly proportional to the magnitude of the net force, in the same direction as the net force, and inversely proportional to the mass of the object." His teacher nodded. "And do pay attention next time, okay Mr. Richmond?" Thomas nodded, and rolled his eyes. What a buffoon. He could probably teach a better class in his sleep. After what seemed like an eternity, the sweet, sweet chimes of the bell rung.
He practically flew home and once he was there, he rushed into his room. He strode to his dresser and opened his shirts drawer. Underneath the false cover was his gun, his baton, his mask, and finally his bulletproof vest. He threw on his jacket over the vest and jammed the rest into his bag. Time to go to work. He was prowling the city rooftops, when something caught his attention at the docks. "Oh...crap." A fire was blazing at a warehouse, and he was about to check for people who could be trapped inside when a figure flew up and began spraying water at the fire, extinguishing it. "Interesting."

Drake blunder had been noticed by a young man wear a dragon mask who chuckled to himself softly as he said "Wow, I've never seen someone make a blunder like that before", he then watched the events unfold before he noticed the other hero watching the events and smirked as he said to himself "Look likes two people have seen this guy blunder". The young man moved once Drake had left to make sure that nothing else could catch alit, just in case.

Drake slid down the wall and sat on the cold ground. He had run from the warehouse and was catching his breath and trying to slow his heart rate. Catch your breath, Drake. We don’t need you having a heart attack here. Cyclone said.

“Already a step ahead of you,” Drake said as he finally felt his heart start beating normally. He let out a long sigh before he added, “I’m glad no one was around to see that. Don’t need someone claiming I burned it down on purpose.” You kind of did though. Inferno stated.

“Shut it!” Drake scolded before he continued, “I was there to stop illegal weapons from coming into this city. The damn place caught on fire because I haven’t fully gotten the handle of your powers.” Drake let out a frustrated sigh and stared at the wall opposite to him for a long while before he added, “I’m sure the last person who had this Talisman did a much better job at being a hero than me.”

Don’t worry. You’re able to call on us and that’s a good start. You have to remember we all have different talents and some of us might have more destructive talents than others. Aqua said. HEY! Inferno yelled. She has a point Inferno; you are the most destructive out of all of us. Not to mention you helped the last person who found the talisman De… Terra said before he stopped. Inferno may not have said anything, but Drake felt that Inferno was glaring at Terra.

“In any case, we should leave before someone stumbles on us and blames us for the burned down warehouse,” Drake said. It was kind of your fault it burned down. Cyclone said. Drake sighed as he got to his feet and added, “They don’t need to know what I did.” Drake let out another sigh before he started towards the end of the alleyway. He was starting to get a headache, something he hadn’t had in a while.

Neko had called Felix and given him the last payment on the dump known as Little Sister Island so that she could now legally live there and the police need a warrant to step foot on it. She had to gather together a neat pile of Money amounting to 10 million dollars; 9 for the island an 1 for Felix's trouble because frankly she didn’t care if he skimmed most of it as long as the paperwork was legal and her claim sound as the sole owner of Fishmarket Fisheries a name created to give credence to the idea that she was going to use it as a docking site for her company’s ships.

It was a former insane asylum and TB sanitarium abandoned in the late seventies and open briefly as a men’s halfway house in the middle 80s which were the last legal inhabitants. Now she could begin restoration of the island and that required the destruction of most of the structures.

She thought why not make it a game so she slipped in her earbuds and a pair of fighting gloves made of a nearly indestructible fabric that protected her hands from abrasions and began her one woman demolition crew.

Her choice of music

Sex Metal Barbie

She launched herself at the old brick wall and began smashing it with all her strength and shattering the impact zone with the power of her strike and following through with a spinning back fist that sent a shockwave of sound across the river that many thought was a truck wrecking into something equally as heavy as itself. All of her angers and frustration followed out through her fists and feet as dust built up in the air around giving anyone looking out towards the island to believe a fire might be starting.

She was a whirling dervish her tail flashing she was matching hr strikes to the rhythm of her musical choices in a dance of pure destruction.

Rarely among the mortal men of this world that made her or stole her from her own world was she able to really cut loose and really push her endurance and she was beginning to smile under her dust mask as the three story structure trembled in fear of her.

Jason and Jiir stood looking over the plans on the table. "So, you're sure this thing should work?" Jiir asked.

"For the last time, yes!" Jason snapped at his alien friend. "I sto-made the plans myself... Based... On Steel's suit. This thing, combined with your alien physiology and magic powers should turn you into a demon-stomping machine." He looked down at the plans a little more closely, his trained eyes quickly scanning for imperfections in the blueprints for the war-suit. At that moment, he felt something warm around him, he looked down to see a pair of arms, then craned his neck around to see Jiir hugging him. "Jiir... I like you, but I am NOT one for showing affection."

"Sorry." Jiir said, not stopping. "I am still so lucky to have a friend like you." Jason frowned. Tamaranians were known for their lack of knowledge of "Personal Space" as well as their culture not seeing extreme displays of intimacy as a social faux-pas. He didn't have the heart to shove the kid off, but he was getting agitated, nonetheless. This just made Jiir hug him just a little tighter.

"Stop..." he said, Jiir slowly retracted his arms. "You need to learn about personal space." He looked at Jiir pull the hood a little higher over his head. "Look, I am here to help, we WILL get your dad out of Tartarus, but you can't change my mind about letting people get all... Touchy-feely around me. It just freaks me out." Jiir looked at him and smiled a little. Jason then walked over to the shops counter and looked around. "Now, where's the Miraclo?" he asked, his payment for the blueprints. Jiir walked to a door in the back and beckoned Jason to follow. He did so, finding a large cauldron full of the golden liquid. "Holy sh-" Jiir frowned at him.

"No swearing." Jiir said. Jason smiled at him.

"But... That's-"

"Enough to fuel the entire US army to fuel a full scale world domination." he said sullenly. Jason looked down.

"Dammit..." he sighed. "As much as it pains me to say this, can you destroy whatever I can't carry with me? We can't let CADMUS get their hands on this.

"You sure CADMUS exist?" Jiir asked. "I mean, I read online that they are just today's Illuminati or The Men In Black. Something for the tin-foil hat community to obsess over."

"No, because the Men In Black don't exist. CADMUS do... They will stop at nothing to get my formula and they will use it to destroy this world in the name of "Peace and Security" Only I can control the monster I made... My brain is the only one developed enough not to be reduced to a snarling monstrosity by it." Jiir snapped his fingers and a few vials flew from the shelf, filled with the Miraclo and flew into Jason's satchel. "Alright, I will get some materials and return another time, then we can get to work on your suit. Jiir's eyes welled up a little. "Look, don't start crying, i'm not good with emotions." he grunted.

"I'm sorry." he sniffed. "I... I... It's just that it's all coming together." Jason looked at him and frowned.

"Alright, I have to go meet the others." he then grabbed his coat and bag and went to the front door. "I will return again, later." he said. He then headed off downtown to meet with the others.

He was known as Commander Light he had been a navy scientist till his experiments with using UV radiation as a power source exploded leaving his scared from shrapnel along with mild radiation poisoning that led to him being discharged though a year after his UV radiation reactor failed he managed to recreate and perfect it though it also left him needing to steal a lot of money to pay for the equipment and materials so here he was in Metropolis national bank to clean it out of all the money in it.

God banks were exhausting. This was along the lines of what Kassandra King was thinking as she stood in the line of the Metropolis National Bank, behind an older blonde woman who obviously put a lot of effort into making herself look younger, to no avail, who was having a heated discussion with the banker at the front. Usually, Kash wouldn't be caught dead in this kind of place, or even on this side of town, but a friend and customer of hers, one of the more successful members of Suicide Slum community, had asked her if she could drop off some paperwork.

Being an altruist, Kash leaped at the chance to help her fellow man. Of course, the twenty dollars she was receiving for the delivery may have had a little to do with it as well. But as she stood there, behind the aristocratic-younger-yet-older-looking woman, yelling at the helpless balding man behind the counter about problems that weren't really problems, she almost wished she hadn't taken the deal. And, right then, a dangerous thought entered the young woman's head: Could this get any worse? In an instant, the girl was trying to shove the thought out of her head. But it was too late.

Only a few moments after the thought, the doors of the bank slammed open, and a rather well-built man stood in the doorway, armed for the obvious intention of robbing the place. The people around Kash began to panic, including the rich woman in front of her, who dropped everything she was holding, leaping for cover. Kash too slid to her knees, ducking under a small potted plant, which if one were to ask her, she'd say was a strategic move, rather than a panicked one. She shot one arm out and grabbed the purse that the woman had dropped and began to search through it with one hand, pulling out her own phone and dialing a number as she did so.

"Clank!" Kash whisper-yelled into the mouthpiece of her phone, referring to her helpful, if somewhat dickish, AI on the other end. As she spoke, one hand dug around in the purse, pulling out three cellphones, a metal water bottle, a can of pepper spray, a handkerchief, and a pair of sunglasses. She immediately used the last two to hide her face, tying the handkerchief around her mouth. "This is an emergency! I need a quick delivery. I should have a few spare birds lying around, so I'm going to need you to send them to me with a couple things. I'm at the Metropolis National Bank, and I'm going to need my helmet, my belt, and, fuck it, throw in the prototype Shockgun™ too!"

"Give me a sec..." She heard on the other line, followed by the clicking of a keyboard. After a few seconds, the familiar sound of PAC-MAN's death sequence played in the background. "Alright, now I'm ready! I'll send them on their way now!"

"Thanks Clank," said Kash, before shoving the phone back into her pocket. She then looked at what she had to work with, all laid out on the ground. In an instant, her brain went into overdrive. If she were to break into the cellphones and dig out their batteries and some of the wires, then dumped out the water in the bottle and taped the cellphone parts to the bottle, with the wires sending shocks throughout the metal- Kash's thoughts were suddenly interrupted as her hand brushed against something metal she must've missed in the purse. The young woman pulled the mystery metal object out of the purse, discovering a revolver. "Oh..." said Kash, gently holding the gun in her hands. "That works too, I suppose..."

Kash jumped out of her cover, gun in hand, and pointed it at the robber, the hammer pulled back. "HANDS IN THE AIR, CHUM! DON'T MAKE ME SHOOT!" she shouted at the large man, stepping back a few feet in case he tried to attack.

Commander Light looked at the girl who held a revolver at him and smirked slightly.
"And what's to stop me from activating the mini reactor powering my weapons and letting it go off like a dirty nuke?" Command Light say in a cold tone while turning his weapon just enough for the girl to see the top part of the radioactive symbol that was on his weapons grip to show what among his weapon collection had been modified for use using his new reactor tech.
"Now I suggest you put the gun down girl as there's no need for you to play hero" Light says as he remove his coat to who that he had a suit similar to Freeze's ice suit but made to use UV radiation.
