The Elf guy who came up to them made Jax blush with his comment, but Morthos had a feeling that he may be playing for the other team. Or maybe not, it was always kind of hard to tell with elves, they just had that feeling about them. At any rate, Jax spotted a jacket for Morthos to try so he doffed his cloak and donned the jacket as Edwin came back with some more things for him to try, Jax sent him away as she turned back and asked how he licked the jacket.

"Well, it fits? I'm terrible with clothing, I've always just bought the first thing that fit and was acceptable to me." The jacket was pretty comfortable though, and it had pockets which was a must have feature for him. He could definitely see himself replacing his normal cloak with this jacket. "Come on, there's a changing room with my name on it?" It turned out the room did indeed have a name on it, but since they never gave Edwin his name he had to improvise. So on the door written in fittingly red marker was Hellboy. "I mean, he's not wrong?" Morthos laughed and entered the changing room to try on his first set of clothes.

Jax missed the wink Edwin tossed Morthos' way as he went inside the changeroom happy that he liked the jacket she chose for him. She took off her own leather jacket and got comfortable on a suede blue couch as Edwin fed some clothes through the top of the room,"Here are some options for you Mr. Red. I think I guessed the right size but if you need me to come in and check to be sure, I can." He handed over some black and grey jeans, some white and black tanktops and t-shirts, and some suede belts. Jax stood up getting antsy as she waited for him to try on the clothes,"How are those working! I want to see!"

Morthos was almost certain Edwin was hitting on him, he hoped it was only playful and not serious. The first thing he tried on was the black jeans with the black tank top, along with the black leather jacket he was looking very....dark. He opened the door and spun in a circle for Jax to see all of him. "What do you think? Is it too much black? I feel like it may be too much black."

Jax paused, looking him over, with all the bulk taken away, noting the pronounced muscles in his legs and arms and her eyes widened. Edwin spoke up first before she got a word in,"Oh! Black is definitely your color! Damn, you couldn't even tell you were toned beneath that bulk." Jax found her tongue,"Uh..yeah..Exactly. You look...really sexy...I MEAN GOOD! YOU LOOK GOOD! Maybe a bit too much black, but Edwin is right! It suits you!" She moved back to her seat sitting down slowly.

"Uh huh," sexy eh? Morthos did like the sound of that, maybe Jax was willing to budge on her no dating rule for the right guy. "Well let's try it with the white tank top," Morthos just took off the jacket and black tank without bothering to go back in the room, it was just his top half after all. He grabbed the white top from the room and put it on with the jacket. "What do you think? Better? Worse? And should I even try with the grey jeans or is black definitely the way to go?"

Jax's eyes widened even more as he took off his shirt. She twitched slightly looking at his abs and the small bit of hair that just came down...down...oh dear. She shut her legs crossing her arms, trying not to have a damn nosebleed as he put the white top on. "The red one is really good too..I MEAN the white one. The white one. Sorry. I am just Woooo on the ball today. I think both go well with the jacket. Try with the grey pants! Also, we need to get you some boots and some other things as well...in fact, I will go grab those!" Edwin jumped to attention,"Oh you sit your gorgeous little ass on that seat. I will grab some more options for him." Jax nodded morosely, actually wanting the few minutes to relax when he left. She turned to Morthos trying to compose herself,"How do you like it? Not too...ah...tight?"

Jax certainly seemed a bit off her normal game today, was she getting distracted by Morthos' body? She seemed to insist that they were only friends and apparently she wouldn't even bang him, so he wasn't sure what the big issue would be. Edwin was off to get more things, leaving Morthos and Jax. "The jeans are a bit tight, but aren't jeans supposed to be a bit tight? Also, I'm sure they'll loosen a bit after I break them in. Gimme a sec to try the grey ones, and no you don't get a peep show this time," he gave her a cheeky wink and closed the door to change pants. He left the white shirt and jacket on and opened the door, "I think the black shirt would look weird with the grey pants, or am I wrong about that?"

Jax bit her lip at his cheeky wink, almost a bit disappointed that she wouldn't get a peep. It wasn't fair to him, to act this way after she was the one who was so against dating. Plus she wasn't a whimpering virgin, who nosebled because the hot guy talked to her. She was the hot one usually. She just couldn't help it. He was a hottie and she was a sucker for good looking boys. Always had been. She stood shaking off her feelings when she turned around and saw him in the grey pants and shirt. She gave him an awkward smile,"I think they would look alright. I mean the white goes really well but the black wouldn't look bad either." Edwin came back with a light jean jacket, a charcoal grey hoodie, a bunch of ripped jeans and a pair of leather pants. Jax looked them all over and turned to Morthos,"He is so good! I love all of these." Edwin smiled at her with soft eyes,"I have an eye for the male form, beautiful." Jax blushed again,"You are too cute." She turned to Morthos again, "Try the jean jacket on with the darker jeans and the hoodie! Also the leather pants with the white t-shirt! "

"Aye aye, captain bossy britches," he teased as he grabbed the clothes from her and went back in the changing room. He tried on the first outfit she had suggested, the darker pre-ripped jeans and the jean jacket. He left the room with no shirt on under the jacket so you could see his chest. "Hey, what if I just didn't wear a shirt anymore and only wore the jacket?" He was joking, of course, he just wanted to see how Jax would react. He'd never thought of himself as good looking before, but seeing Jax get flustered at him changing his shirt in front of her he realized he must have something about him which made him good looking despite the red skin. Maybe she was a bit into demons? He couldn't be sure.

Jax laughed at his teasing as she stuck out her tongue,"Just get in there!" She watched him head in and tried to calm down. A few seconds he came back out and she tensed up immediately. She blushed, her eyes immediately on his chest again, then up to his smiling face. She heard his offer of never wearing a shirt again and she bit her tongue before responding,"You cheeky bugger. You totally knew you were hot didn't you! Well, you know what Sparky, I am in the need of a new bikini, so we will see how you fair then." Edwin perked up,"We have bathing suit shorts too!" Jax turned around quickly,"NO! He's fine!"

"Oh no," he said sarcastically, "I get to see the hot girl in a bikini, what ever will I do." He laughed and went back in to grab a shirt and get dressed properly before coming back out. "Also, for your information, I just figured out I was hot today watching you stare at me. You sure I'm still too good of a friend to bang?" Since Morthos had met Jax he'd found his confidence growing, apparently, a confident Morthos was just enough of a dick that you didn't hate him.

Jax blushed, pursing her lips. He was right..it was in his favor probably. She listened to him slightly shocked. Confident Morthos was...too much her type for her liking,"Oh you are trouble...." She walked up to him, close enough that it was past the point of comfortable,"Rule stands Sparky, but even if the option were on the table, I'm not sure you could handle a girl like me in the bedroom." As she was talking her eyes darted to his lips getting fairly close. She stopped only moments from kissing him before she turned, her hair smacking him in the face, as she walked back to the couch grabbing up her jacket,"Too bad, I like you too much as a friend because I could teach you a few things. We will take it all Edwin!" She turned winking at Morthos,"On his tab of course."

Jax was very close to him. Too close, turns out his bravado disappeared when girls got within a certain proximity. Interesting. He could kiss her, he just had to lean forward. Should he? Would Jax slap him if he did that? Turns out he didn't need to worry about it as Jax turned and let her hair slap him, deciding they were just going to get all of it. "Yes, on my tab, I'm gonna wear these ones out of the store," he was currently wearing the pre-ripped jeans, white t-shirt, and jean jacket. He went with Edwin to pay then left with Jax and several bags in tow. "Well that was a good trip, now, I have somewhere I want to take you, come on," saying that he started making his way to Hardon Valgotl's place where he could get Jax started on getting her dream scythe.

Jax was happy he didn't kiss her. She risked the biscuit on that one because if he did she didn't know if she could stop herself from kissing him back. She took a gamble and her confidence won out..this time. She was relieved and somehow slightly disappointed. She gave her goodbyes to Edwin with Morthos behind her, some of his bags in her hands. She was all set to head towards the barber when he suddenly steered her away from the street to another. She gave him a questioning look,"Somewhere you want to take me? If this is a bikini shop. I don't really need a new one!"

Morthos laughed, "no, it's not a bikini shop. I'm pretty sure you're going to like this a whole lot more, you said it's your birthday soon, right?" Soon after they made it to Valgotl's shop, "tada, you said this is the place to get the best scythe, right? I know he only does jobs he thinks are worth it. So you can make your case, and if he thinks your worth his time, which I think he will, your new scythe will be funded by yours truly." Morthos knew this would go one of two ways, either she'd be really excited, or yell at him for spending so much money on her. He really hoped it was the former.

Roxas smiled at Ophelia and nodded his head. "You're fight was amazing. I'm pretty sure you won." He moved closer to her after she finished the bowl of blood and set it aside for her. He wrapped his arm around her gently. "I'm glad you're okay though, that gash looked really bad. Doesn't seem so bad now, but I'm sure you still feel it." Roxas got up after a few minutes and took the bowl into the kitchen. "I should go soon though. Even though we have a bit of a peace treaty right now, I still have no intrest in dealling with Jax and Morthos. If you want to come by though you know where I live. My door's always open for you." He smiled at her then gave her a gental kiss.

Jax felt her stomach drop as she reached the shop. Her eyes widened like disc's,"Mo...Morthos...I can't.." She looked at the shop with utter longing then back at him. She dropped his bags then walked up to him, hugging him tightly, her arms wrapping around his neck. Her voice was soft, serious,"My friendship is non-conditional. You know that right. I meant what I said, I like you too much because of who YOU are. Not because of how much money you have or what you can buy me. This.." She pulled back, putting her hands on her hips shaking her head,"I can't accept something like this...I want to. Believe me, I want to, but it's too much. I..I.. don't deserve it." She shook her head, slightly vulnerable as she stared through the window into the shop,"I don't."

"Don't deserve it? Jax if anyone deserves this it's you," Morthos went up and put his arm around her as she looked through the window. "I know my money doesn't mean anything to you, I look like a homeless person with that cloak on. Do you want me to put it back on? It's in one of these bags we have." He chuckled and kept talking, "Jax it's because you don't care about my money that I want to spend it on you. Or rather, with you. You're my friend, really my only friend, and what's the point of friends if you can't spoil them?"

Morthos was quiet a moment then had an idea, "how about this? You tell me why you think you don't deserve the scythe, and I'll tell you why you're wrong. If I convince you you accept my generous gift and crown me your best friend, deal?" Thinking of Valgotl, Morthos had heard that sometimes he watched people outside his shop, listening to them to see if they were worthy of his master craftsmanship. Morthos wondered if he was listening right now.

Ophelia watched and listened as Roxas spoke, "I should go soon though. Even though we have a bit of a peace treaty right now, I still have no interest in dealing with Jax and Morthos. If you want to come by though you know where I live. My door's always open for you." She knew Jax was only being nice for Ophelia, and that she didn't trust Roxas what so ever, which was fine. "Even though you don't want to deal with either of them, you need to start trying to get along, if you are going to be with me. I won't accept you not trying, at least with Jax. She's my best friend and my sister. She's my family," Ophelia said softly, looking at Roxas's eyes through his glasses. He was really quite attractive, and she smiled very faintly, as much as her jaw would allow. "Be safe on your way home," she instructed, knowing though that he would be fine, and she watched him leave gently.

She didn't know when Jax would be home, but she desperately wanted to take a shower. She had dirt and blood still on her skin. She would need to do laundry soon as well, frowning suddenly at the thought of her outfit, which was sliced into shreds at this point. She looked over at it on the ground and raised an eyebrow, then sighed inwardly. She got up, her hair a mess and made her way to the bathroom, which was actually fairly decent considering how shitty their apartment really was. It had a certain charm to it though she thought, but figured it was the people who lived there that made it feel the way it did, not the actual place itself.

She turned the shower on and let the water steam up the bathroom for a moment before slowly taking her pjs off and folding them on the counter, placing a towel out for after as well. She stepped under the stream of water and let it warm her always cold skin, closing her eyes and washing her hair after a few minutes. It hurt her stomach muscles to lift her arms, but the pain was tolerable. She would be fine in another day for sure, though the pin in her jaw was starting to annoy her, and she'd take it out shortly. Her mind shifted to Roxas, and she wondered how he lived alone in his cabin without feeling lonely. She furrowed her brow, figuring he probably was, especially after the death of his friend. She frowned then, and wondered about her for a few moments before letting the thought leave her mind. Finally she thought about the darkness she saw before she became conscious again, and she felt panicked slightly. She wondered if she should mention it to Jax, but then figured that would probably be a bad idea, since they hadn't made up yet.

Ophelia stepped out of the shower once she was clean and wrapped a towel around her. She looked up from the counter then and noticed something written on the mirror in the steam. Ophelia didn't recognize the language, and she quickly wiped it away, her eyes wide. She went into her bedroom quickly and looked at the mirror above her dresser instead, first towel drying and then putting her hair up in a half bun. She dried herself off and then put on a fresh outfit, a white dress with spaghetti straps and black leggings, keeping her feet bare like always. She leaned close to the mirror again and saw the pin in her jaw below her ear. She reached up and curled the tips of her index finger and thumb carefully against the metal and pulled it quickly out. Blood dripped for a few moments and then the wound healed. She used the towel to clean the blood and then threw all of the dirty laundry into the wash. She was beginning to feel nervous for when Jax would arrive, and decided to make her home made ramen for dinner. Once she was finished cooking, she made a small bowl for Hargul and called him to let him eat, then she sat against the couch and waited.

Jax nodded, thinking that she would win in this battle of words,"Deal! I promise to allow this only if you can convince me that I deserve it." Jax sucked in a breath, and put her hands on her hips,"Okay first off, I earn what I make! How can you tell me I have honestly earned this. My exorcism money wouldn't even cover half of blade!" She paused then continued,"Second off, I am nowhere near the level that I should own a Valgotl scythe! This is top of the line craftsmanship. A scythe this precious should be in the hands of a grand master, not someone in my level." She paused waiting for his retort.

"Well you earned it because you were kind to me," Morthos told her, "isn't there some story about a god who would disguise themselves as a beggar and when someone helped the god they gave the person great riches? It's like that, clearly, I'm not a god, but becoming friends has given you a great gift." He thought that was a good enough point, the second one was a bit of a stretch but he thought he knew what to say. "As for your second point, I think the sooner you get it the more powerful you'll become. These scythes are custom made to your power level, and they grow with you. The demon blood makes them somewhat sentient, and as you grow so will the scythe."

Jax crossed her arms wanting to debate the first one but knowing she would never get him to understand that being someone's friend was something so simple to her. The second point was fair. She knew the scythes grew as she did but still. The people who owned them only received these gifts due to great feats they overcame. Jax bit her lip then spoke evenly,"I don't deserve it..because..because I want to be the best Morthos. I want to beat everyone who comes my way and even though I want to do it to protect people there is a part of me who wants it because...because of pride. I want people to look at me as strong. Not a weak human girl who can draw a fucking pentagram." She turned around, not wanting to look at him as she kicked a rock down the road, shoving her hands in her pockets,"I don't deserve it because..I'm not a good person...not when I could be better."

"Jax, look at me," he grabbed her and spun her so she faced him, then took her face in his hands to make her look him in his pure orange eyes. "Do you think everyone who walks through those doors does it with noble intentions? Lots of people just want to be powerful, and they'd do anything to get what they want. You're already better than them because you didn't accept my offer immediately." Their faces were close, he could feel her breath on his skin and he was sure she could feel his, "and I'm not sure how much this will mean coming from me, but I think you're a pretty great person." Before she could respond and before he could think himself off the ledge he kissed her. Now you've done it, idiot Morthos chided himself, she said no relationship, now you're kissing her.

Jax was about to argue when he kissed her. She paused, her arms twitching for a few seconds before she arched into him. She gripped his jean jacket to roughly kiss him back with a fire she only reserved for her sexiest moments. Suddenly she stopped and she pushed him away from her. She let out a gasp her breath choppy,"Fine! You win. I will let you buy me the damn scythe." She touched her lips then walked over to Morthos punching him in the shoulder her expression serious but flushed,"But that means you have to wear the crown of my best...friend. Friend. Morthos." She looked at him harshly, her eyes pleading with him to understand, "Please..be my friend."

The kiss ended almost as fast as it had begun and Morthos was kind of speechless. Jax was pleading for him to just be her friend, she clearly didn't want to hurt him, and Morthos understood, even if it made him a bit sad. "Right, friend, ya...ya, of course." He paused a moment as he went to open the door, "um, I'm sorry, but I'm not sorry. Is that.....is that okay?" Morthos felt bad after all Jax had done to try and make sure he got the message they were just friends, but in that moment he just felt something between them.

Jax saw that she crushed him with her rejection. She knew exactly what he wanted and the very physical part of her wanted it to. Tension had been brimming all day and the outlet was fantastic. God the boy could kiss. She was still flushed, and she appreciated that he didn't fully apologize for kissing her. He couldn't help himself, that thought made her more on edge then she thought. She shut those thoughts down immediately though. She had a plan and she was sticking to it, regardless of how much she wanted to just reach over and kiss him again. She smiled at him as he opened the door and put on a teasing face,"Don't be sorry. It was good...really good. It just can't happen again." She poked him in the nose, smirking as she walked in almost running into a small old goblin with blue skin, a green beard, and glasses, "Uh...Hello."

"Yes? What do you want? It doesn't matter, my master will have no time for riffraff such as yourself, get out." The goblin was direct and to the point, Morthos was going to say something when he heard a voice from the back call out, "Be nice Oggic, let them in and you get back to your work." Oggic just grumbled, "The master has taken a liking to you, consider yourselves lucky." Morthos took Jax's arm in his and walked with her to the back. Behind the curtain they found a man in front of a smithing table, he was bent down, working on finishing up what seemed to be a sword of some sort. The room was full of any weapon you could imagine, and tools of all sorts. The man straightened and turned around, taking off a large set of goggles. He was bald, but it looked like he shaved his head on purpose. He was dark skinned and had very nice features, Morthos didn't swing that way but he could admit the guy was good looking. "I'm Hardon Valgotl, I've been observing you outside my shop for the last few minutes since you got here." Morthos felt a little odd knowing he was being watched out there, especially considering what had happened, Valgotl continued, "You don't have to worry about making your case. You already have with your discussion outside, the real way to learn about someone is to hear them when they're not putting on a show. Jax, I'll make you your scythe, leave me your contact information and I'll let you know when it's done. Morthos, I'll discuss a price with you another day so leave your information as well."

Jax squealed at his acceptance of her, and did a strange victory dance,"Oh THANKYOU! THANKYOU THANKYOU! OH YEAH! I'M CHOSEN! I'M WORTHY! I'M WORTHY!!! EEEEEE!!!!!!!!!" She ran up to the little goblin giving every single detail of her information, and three addresses in case the information was lost. She hugged Morthos and danced about,"BEST BIRTHDAY GIFT EVER! Shit AHHHHH!!!!" She did another dance, non-stop talking the entire visit. After they finished gabbing at the shop, they finished off the last of their shopping with some new black boots and some potions for Ophelia. There last stop was at the Barber where Morthos got a haircut. Once this was done they headed back to Jax's place, opening the door to the smell of Ramen and Ophelia on the couch.

After Roxas left Ophelia's, he began to walk home. He was thinking hard about what she said to him. "If you're going to be with me, you'll have to try to get along with Jax." This was hard for him since he could hardly stand Jax. People like her who seem to only want power. Sends them to an early grave. He hated the thought of Jax being killed and then leaving Ophelia alone. 'Let's not think of that shall we?' He thought to himself as he walked home.

Once home Roxas immediately started to undress and got into his shower. It was a nice warm shower just as he liked it. Just as he was about to turn the water off, his head started to hurt and it stopped him in his tracks. "What do you want this time?" Roxas growled as he went to sit down in his tub. The water still beating down on him. It felt warmer than usual, but this was no surprise to Roxas.

"I want some damn legroom in this stupid head if yours. You get all the space and I just get pushed back down." Ifrit complained. "If I'm going to be stuck in here then I expect some space." Roxas didn't really know how to deal with that. He only imprisoned Ifrit because he didn't want anyone else to go through the same pain he did. "No." He grimaced. "This is my head and you will listen to my rules." He started to get wary now. His head usually didn't hurt this much when Ifrit would talk to him. Actually he got used to it after a while. This time was different though. He could feel himself starting to slip a little. "You know you'd never have to deal with this pain again if you'd just let me out." Ifrit teased. "No we're not having this conversation again."
Roxas started to fight back and the headache slowly went away. "Okay fine then. I'll stay in here, but don't get mad at me when you slip up in front of your girlfriend and someone gets hurt." He started to laugh then went away. "Damn it. I need to get a better hold on him."

Roxas finally got out of the shower and put on some clothes he wanted to get some fresh air. And maybe find someone who could help him.

Ophelia turned her gaze to the door as she heard the handle turning. The door opened and Jax came through followed by Morthos, who looked completely different. Her eyes widened and she stood up, moving quickly towards them. She approached Morthos and reached up, brushing her fingers through his hair, which was now cut short. She looked at his jacket and jeans and grinned a fangy smile at him. "You look hot!" Her attention turned to Jax and she chewed her lip a moment.

"I made you some ramen. It's still hot," she said softly, looking at Jax gently. Ophelia brushed a piece of hair from her face and then leaned against the counter slightly.

Jax felt like shit immediately. She put Morthos’ stuff beside the door and came up and gave her a hug, "I’m sorry for what I said last night! You’re not stupid! I was drunk and on pain meds. You know I didn’t mean it!” She pulled back smiling, "I watched your fight today! You destroyed him!”

She took a step back, "Why would you even consider fighting though! You never seemed interested in taking on someone like that before!”

Ophelia was suddenly being hugged by Jax, and she wrapped her arms around her sister tightly, listening to her apologize. “I forgive you. I know you don’t really trust Roxas, and I understand why you don’t. I’m sorry too,” Ophelia spoke lightly, having missed her sister, even though it was only for a day.

“I want to be in the same rank as you so I can make sure you’re safe. I want to be able to do missions and things with you. I know I’m not typically the fighter in this situation, but Suriel seemed like a fun person to take on, and people underestimate me,” she smirked a little at the irony of Suriel being the angel of love, something that Ophelia had been searching for, for a long time. “I don’t want to be without you.” She smiled softly and looked at Jax’s eyes.

Jax felt her heart warm a bit, "I know you can’t help who you like. I shouldn’t have been so harsh. I can’t change how I feel about him though. As for going up in rank. Selfishly, it will be nice to have you on missions. I would be worrying too much when I’m gone. I don’t want to be without you either.” She leaned over and mussed up Ophelia’s hair a bit knowing that it was something she always used to do when they were little. Jax had always been the taller one, even when she was a fat little tub. She blew out a breath, "I promise. I’ll give Roxas a chance..but I’m not sure I can help you with Mom when she find out you bonded.”

She gave her another hug whispering in her hair, "You didn’t sleep with him did you?”

“Mom doesn’t get to have a say in what I do anymore, Jax. Yes, she’s mom, but we are adults. I’m allowed to make my own choices.” Ophelia said, almost sternly, though not directed at Jax. Their mother had always prohibited things that Ophelia did. But not anymore. Jax then leaned forward and whispered against Ophelia’s ear. Ophelia smiled softly, turning to kiss Jax on the cheek before answering, “No, don’t worry.” She turned and pointed to the bowl still on the table, getting cold. “Eat before it’s completely cold. And there’s something else I need to talk to you about, later though.” She said, hoping that she could talk to Jax alone at some point about her out of body experience, and some other things related to Jax’s last question.

Jax blushed slightly as she was kissed on the cheek, relieved that Ophelia hadn’t slept with Roxas yet. She knew it wasn’t her business but she knew that would only strengthen her bond with the dude and she wasn’t quite sure of him yet. Jax licked her lips as she moved to the ramen, "Thanks girl for the Ramen! It smells amazing! I hope it’s okay if I brought Morthos home for dinner. We went...shopping.”

She paused looking over at Morthos’ new look and blushed, thinking of their kiss as she sat down and dug in, “And a haircut. Morthos was hit on by a sexy elf named Edwin!” She bit her lip hoping Ophelia wouldn’t notice that she was a bit off kilter.

“Yes that’s fine, he’s always welcome. I did notice his new duds. You helped him pick? What else did you guys do today?” Ophelia asked watching as Jax blushed a second time once she looked to Morthos. Ophelia’s brow furrowed very slightly, and she watched Jax’s face even closer. She wondered if something had happened between them, but figured she would leave that up to Jax to tell her.

Jax slurped up a noodle, "Yes I helped him pick! It was mostly Edwin choosing..but I know how to dress guys.” She laughed knowing that Ophelia would be surprised because in a female clothing store Jax was a mess. She either chose clothes that were either too tight because they were easier to fight in, colours that didn’t suit her, or as Ophelia put it,”clothes a trog goblin would be caught dead and buried in.” She laughed at her visual representation and then gave a squeal, "OH AND HE BOUGHT ME A VARGOTL SCYTHE! HARDON IS GOING TO MAKE ME ONE!!! I’M SO EXCITED!!!! I STILL CAN’T BELIEVE THAT I WILL HAVE THAT SCYTHE IN MY HANDS. IT’S GOING TO HAPPEN. BEST FRIEND EVER!!!!”

She gave Morthos a wide smile, wanting to hug him again for being so bloody awesome.

Ophelia’s eyes widened at both the clothing comment, and the fact that Jax was shouting about a new Vargotl scythe. She knew those were bloody expensive, and her gaze shifted over to Morthos for a moment. She felt uneasy and looked at Jax again, lowering her voice, “You shouldn’t of accepted that. Do you know how expensive those are? What did you do that made him offer?” She didn’t mean the question in a bad way, but she also knew that it seemed random to have someone offer to pay for such an expensive item out of nowhere. The situation with her dress and Roxas was different, because he owed her one. “What are you doing with him? Do you even like him?” she whispered.

Jax’s excitement slowed way the hell down, "Oh I just ya know, sucked his dick and he was all, Bitch is getting a new scythe.” She looked at Morthos for a few minutes sticking out her tongue, "We are just friends Ophelia. He paid for the clothes because he needed them and they are for him, and the scythe is a birthday present. Also I didn’t just accept it right off the bat. We...we came to an agreement.” She blushed even brighter red this time and then looked back at her noodles, "It was a one time thing and we settled it between ourselves, plus I will pay him back at some point.” She gave him an honest smile, "I will pay you back...eventually.”

Ophelia’s voice lowered even more so Morthos couldn’t hear her, and she spoke in barely a whisper, “I see the way you two look at each other. You’ll tell me about this ‘agreement’ later. Because no matter what you say to me, it’s obvious as hell Jax.” She smiled then and got up, grabbing Hargul’s empty dish and placing it in the sink, her white dress flowing around her hips slightly.

Jax turned completely serious, keeping her voice low, "There is nothing to talk about Ophelia. You know how I feel about dating, and I am 100 percent committed to my craft. So don’t go thinking that you can see a fairy tale where there isn’t one.” She smiled feeling bad about leaving Morthos out of the conversation, "So...how you liking the Ramen?”

Morthos thanked Ophelia for the compliment then just kind of stood there a bit awkwardly as the girls talked, eventually sitting down at the table and getting himself some ramen. He tuned out most of the conversation, at the mention of the agreement they came to at the shop Morthos just stared in to his food. Her comment about no fairy tail made him a bit sad, ya, there's no fairy tail here, so get it out of your thick skull dummy. He smiled at Jax when she asked how the ramen was, "ya, it's good, don't usually eat ramen."

He knew he couldn't stay here all night again, he planned on fighting Mitsukini tomorrow and he still had to make all his preparations. But he supposed he could stay here a bit longer, it probably wouldn't take him all night to get everything ready. "I don't usually have ramen, nothing against it, just tend not to eat it."

Jax smiled back at Morthos but she saw that his eyes were a bit sad. "Ramen's cheap, and Ophelia always can spice it up into something different!" She smiled hiding the fact that she immediately felt guilty, hating that she was making him sad. Hell she slept with guys like no tomorrow but she couldn't throw Morthos a bone because...why? She took a slurp of noodles in contemplation, because she knew it wouldn't be just one night. If she gave him something she would give it all and that was something she couldn't afford to do. She knew instinctively that Morthos was dangerous for her. So she would have to stop it. Suddenly her thoughts altered when she caught a smell of something else. She turned to see the oven on, and turned to Ophelia who gave her a smirk,"Pumpkin pie?" Ophelia nodded and Jax gave a wide smile,"Ahh hell yeah! Do we have any icecream?" Ophelia shook her head still eyeing Jax uncomfortably. Jax finished her food then put it in the sink, getting up and throwing on her jacket,"I'll go run and grab some from the store, and some wine for you as well sis!"

Jax was running away. The tension was there and she just needed to breathe a moment. Clear her head so she could figure out her thoughts. She justified to herself that Ophelia and Morthos should learn to hang out with each other, knowing that he was going to be a friend/teammate in the future missions. She didn't know if he could beat honey but she had confidence that he would impress her in the fight. She bit her lip then spoke evenly before heading to the door smirking at Morthos," Oi Mr. Hot Stuff, don't leave before I come back. I want to see how you like the pie!"

She grabbed her scythe by the door just in case then headed out into the night after a few minutes, the air feeling good against her flushed skin. She headed towards the store, her boots hitting the stones with light clacks as she whistled a boring tune about a ghost and a goblin.

Roxas started to make his way to the grocery store. He didn't really need anything from there, but he just wanted to go. Having the king of hell in your head really does a number after a while. The whole way down Roxas's head was splitting. Maybe he could find some anti biotics or at least an asprin. He didn't make it that far before he had to stop and rest. He stopped at the fountan at the town center and sat down. His headache getting worse than before. "Come on what do you want now?" He said to himself, but only low enough for him to hear. After a few minutes of agonising pain, Roxas was able to stand again and make his way to the store.

Once he got there Roxas spotted Jax in the ice cream isle. He felt like he should probably talk to her even though he was having a hard time. He wanted to make Ophelia happy and he knew that talking to Jax would do that. "Hey Jax." He walked up to her and tied to hide his pain.

Jax was staring at the butter pecan and the vanilla biting her lip awkwardly. How was one to choose between the two! Hell, now the strawberry was calling out to her. Her inner fat Jax just wanted to buy all the tubs but trainer Jax kept looking at the low-fat vanilla yogurt. Jax reached out to open the ice cream door then pulled back. Suddenly her thoughts were interrupted by a pained,"[Hey Jax." She turned seeing Roxas standing in front of her looking rough. Jax looked up at him with wide eyes immediately feeling concerned. Her tone was even almost kind,"Hi...Roxas..are you okay? You don't look so hot, dude!"

She turned to face him trying to get a new look at her sister's new 'dude.' He was tall, handsome, bit whispy. Definitely Ophelia's type. Aside from the obvious though, he looked tired, slightly haggard like some inner turmoil was eating him up. Jax placed her basket on the ground and looked down the aisle. They seemed relatively alone, so she took a step forward whispering,"Is it the demon?" she looked up at him worried. She was not this guy's greatest fan but she always would help someone in need if she was aware of it and she could help. Like a personal code, she couldn't help herself. Roxas was dangerous for her sister but to be fair, she could sense that he was a good person, and he was suffering. She should have noticed it before but because she was being such an asshole she had no time.

Roxas stubbled across the hall to Jax. His headache getting worse than before making it so he can't even see straight anymore. He leans on the counter next to him for support. It didn't work though. As he leaned against the counter he collapsed on the floor, nailing his head against the edge of the counter. Blood poured down the front of his face. Roxas looked up at Jax. "Help me..." He grimaced. "I need aspirin." His eyes started to close, not caring about the blood on his face. "Please."

Jax watched him go down and moved fast trying to catch him but he hit the floor before she got there,"Jesus fricken Christ!" Jax sunk to her knees moving up to his head,"You don't need an aspirin you need a bloody exorcism!" She began pulling off the bandages on her hands so her pentagrams were exposed. She then reached out to grab the sides of his head her eyes instantly turning green.

She turned rigid her eyes boring straight into the mother of all demons. She smirked at him, eyeing the spells that were woven so tightly like chains to repress this beast. She spoke evenly in a deep Latin,"Ilfirit. Hoc est ergo in quo non sunt latebat. Et alii sunt admiratio."

She shut her eyes for a few seconds then opened them to see the grocery setting. She looked down at Roxas,"I can't remove him. I'm sure you already know that though." She grit her teeth,"I am going to help you though. My god is not the normal source for exorcists so when I do this it is going to fucking hurt. Be ready."

Jax leaned forward her eyes fading into green as she began to whisper. Her incantions were fast and brutal. Like the shots from a bullet they lightly stung Roxas like he was being pricked by needles. She kept going, getting louder as she lifted her palms from his head so only her finger tips were touching him. Her incantations suddenly hit a crescendo and she turned her hands like she was opening to cranks and deep agonizing pain would fill Roxas skull. Jax held on tightly her voice calm,"We are going to have our walk in the moonlight demon. No one takes the life of a sister in arms when I am here. Enjoy this and watch. As he gets stronger and your execution draws ever nearer. Be ready."

She suddenly slammed her hands back up and fell back on the tile, blood dripping down her eyes as she breathed heavily. If everything worked well Roxas should hear silence, the pain removed. She spoke evenly,"I reinforced his prison to max. It's tighter, less roomy and a temporary solution. The chains in place were strong but two gods are stronger. Give me time though. I will help you kill that son a bitch. If you need it."

She sat up putting her head between her legs feeling like she is going to throw up.

Ophelia waited quietly for the ding of the oven, and took the pie out, placing it on top of the stove to cool slightly. She'd wait to serve it until Jax came back anyway. After washing her hands, she went to sit next to Morthos and looked him over again gently. "I know we haven't gotten to talk much. You do look really nice. Not to say you didn't before. Jax does have an eye for men's fashion. Her own fashion is a different story though." She smiled slightly, looking to Hargul for a minute before nodding her head to tell him to bugger off so she could talk to Morthos without Hargul around, watching him disappear into Jax's bedroom.

"Jax likes you. Did something happen while you guys were out today? I won't be upset, but she's never acted like this before. It's so obvious but she's so stubborn on meeting her goals that she just shuts down the very thought of any type of romance. Although I guess I'm not the best example either..." Ophelia raised an eyebrow for a moment, her eyes mostly grey at this point again before frowning. "I like you. I think you'd be good for her," she grinned at Morthos this time, tilting her head slightly to the side, waiting to hear his response.

"Oh you don't have to worry, pumpkin pie is my favourite," Morthos called to Jax as she went out the door. He gave Ophelia a polite smile as she sat with him, "well thank you. It's a good thing I took Jax along, I would have had no idea what to buy for myself to look better." He took a drink of water and nearly spat it all out when Ophelia asked if anything happened between him and Jax. He was usually pretty good at lying but the question really took him off guard. After a brief coughing fit he managed to get out, "what? No, no, why would you think that?"

But there was no hiding it, she clearly already knew something was up, that grin on her face said it all. "Okay fine," he relented, "but you tell Jax that you threatened to withhold pie unless I talked." He took a proper drink of water before continuing, "Jax and I.... We kinda, sorta, maybe, kissed a bit." He half mumbled the last bit but was sure Ophelia heard him. There, he said it, it was out there as a thing that happened. He hoped Jax wouldn't be mad, she would have told Ophelia at some point, right? They were sisters after all.

Ophelia had definitely heard him admit to them kissing, and both of her eyebrows raised just slightly. Enough to show that she was a bit surprised. She smiled again, wondering if Jax would tell her or not, and considered not saying anything until she did. "Just be good to her. She really is sweet, beneath that hard exterior. God I sound like my mother some days..." Ophelia shuddered and shook her head, her hair whisping around her pale face.

It really seemed to be taking longer than normal for Jax, and she hoped she was alright. She sent her a quick text "Hey, hope you found the ice cream alright. Be safe." She looked at Morthos again and was curious about his background. She was sure Jax knew much more about him by now than Ophelia did, so she began to ask questions.

"So, where's your family from? Tell me more about yourself."

"Oh I'd love to be good to her, but she's made it very clear she just wants to be friends." Morthos sighed, he understood her reasoning, he knew how magic worked. If Jax wanted to be the strongest Mythic then she'd have to get in a relationship with someone very powerful. Was Morthos not powerful enough? He supposed she'd never seen him in battle so it was fair to think that, maybe she'd be singing a different tune after his fight tomorrow. "But I will be the best friend I can until she decides maybe I'm worth the time of day."

Morthos let out a long sigh at her question, "man, life story questions? I mean, my mom is like me, though she's better with charm magic rather than fire magic. I never really knew my dad, mom doesn't talk about him much. The most she ever says is that he'd be proud of who I've become. We're actually nobility, we've still got it from back in the days of Bael Turath. It's nothing special, basically just a small village she rules over, but it's neat. I left when I was fairly young to travel the world, learn magic, the world was a lot meaner about my appearance than my village was. If anyone ever found out I was nobility they suddenly changed their tune, so I made sure that was hidden. Other than that little tidbit there's not a whole lot interesting about me."

He finished off his water and got up to refill it at the sink, "what about you? You mentioned sounding like your mother when talking about Jax, tell me about your family." He sat back down and waited to hear what she had to say.
