- Welcome to Remnant, world of Monsters, danger, Dust, and Huntsmen. At the belly of the Northern Seas, there rests an island known as Vytal. Sure, everyone knows its name- it's synonymous with the end of the War, but what it looks like? Well, people don't seem to care that much really. Now, why do I bring up a podunk place like Vytal? Because you're there, that's why. You all had your own reasons for coming- but I won't comment on those. But probably the best thing left in Vtyal, or the only thing worth while in the speck of a village in which you find yourselves, is a blacksmith's shop, called 'the Core's Hammer'.'a drunk Narrator.
I've been really wanting to write in Remnant for a while now, but didn't have an idea of my own. And- with no other RWBY RP's popping up, well, I finally came up with an idea of my own, and thought about it enough to bring it to an interest check. This RP will focus on older Huntsmen and Huntresses, rather than first-year students. That doesn't mean students can't be in the RP, but they'd be older and more independent, and able to mingle with semi-seasoned Huntsmen and Huntresses in their own right.
This RP will be partially character driven, partially plot based. Said plot will begin when the Huntsmen and Huntresses gathered in the Core's Hammer hear about a mysterious event. Strange Creatures of Grimm with odd, almost elemental abilities have been spotted. Only you can find out where they come from, and why.
I shouldn't have to go really in-depth with rules here. Just follow the standards of the forum, don't be a jerk, and write for fun, and we should all get along fine. If you have any questions, just ask me beforehand.
The Forge
Run by Maroon Awit, Core's Hammer is an oasis for the creative Huntsman or Huntress. Supplies can be gathered from all around, making for the finest built weapons, armor, and armaments this side of Sanus. At least as far as Maroon is concerned. Core's Hammer consists of a fenced in front area hanging containing a sign, a decorative anvil, several weapon racks, and two large quenching troughs- one on either side. The shop's entrance way serves as the main work area, where those with the Lien can rent tools for work, trade metals, and order armaments. The back wall is covered in a haphazard array of lock boxes, crates, and lockers, all for holding the belongings of various clients. Behind this wall, cordoned off by thick hanging cloth in two doorways, lie several work areas of more access and detail than those in the shop's front. While the ones in the front are mainly set for touch-ups and material tests, stations in the main room are equipped with the tools and materials needed to perform a standard job, complete with vertical quenching troughs, small ovens, anvils, and a stand of tools. In the back of Core's Hammer, there are special rooms for those with more involved projects, or projects that involve somewhat more dangerous materials.
The Village
Mission is a quaint, quiet place. It houses an inn called "The Fleece Cloak," across from which is Core's Hammer Forge, and several abodes, with the occasional vendor of standard goods. Dust imports are hard to come by, unless a caravan happens by- which is rare- or a Huntsman or Huntress decides to trade for work or materials at the Forge. At Mission's northern edge, between the village and the coast, is a dark grove of swampy trees where one rarely goes.

Important Characters-
Antagonists-
Please follow the format of the Character Sheet. If you think of something to add, great, go ahead, but leave most things in the location for where they're asked. It just helps me know where to look for things, instead of them being in different places for different characters. If you think of something new, but aren't sure where to put it, the 'Other' section is a great catchall. You don't need to leave the Character Sheet centered, it's just easier to show you that way. I would, however, prefer that the categories remain emboldened and a visible color be picked for the text, thanks : )
I hope you find this interesting, and are willing to go along with me on this. If you have any questions, comments, concerns, or suggestions, please, don't hesitate to ask me. I'm more than willing to help in any way I can.
Welcome Aboard!
